It was daybreak for most ponies, but not for a certain family living in a shining crystallized castle. Twilight Sparkle had gotten up pretty early, before daybreak actually, due to making plans to visit her family with her young daughter, Nyx Sparkle. Spike was busy helping Rarity preparing for the Carousel Boutique's opening and the pets, Owlowiscious and Peewee were helping Twilight out. Nyx was still asleep in her new bedroom. The alicorn filly had taken some time to get use to the fact she and her mother had to move into this new castle but she soon settled down though like Twilight, she was upset about the lost of the old library which had lots of fond memories of hers and Twilight's. Her eyes stayed closed, as her dreams were invaded by a persisted thought. She hadn't been born naturally so she hadn't experience a foalhood like her friends and mother, it kinda felt unfair. She wanted a foalhood but it was pretty much impossible. Age regression spells were forbidden to use, unless memory spells were used along side it to cover it up. Plus, she didn't know if Twilight would agree with her, after all it would involve her become a full time mother of a newborn infant or a unborn infant depending on how far the spell reached. Light eventually shined on the black filly's eyes, forcing them to blink open to reveal the dragon look behind. The filly sighed, moving into a sitting position whilst keeping her bottom half under the blanket as she looked around her new bedroom, which to be fair she wasn't quite use to yet. She was more use to sleeping in a basket by Twilight's bed, but now having her own bed and bedroom to herself was quite a difference that she wasn't very comfortable about yet. Her room was still relatively small for the castle at least, but larger then Apple Bloom's bedroom. It was painted in a purple glow and covered with small, teal colored crescent moons, some processing a shield around it to demonstrate her cutie mark, in teal. The carpet was a a pitch black to fit in with the lunar theme to the room. And to top it all off, there was a solar system model hanging from her ceiling, each off the planets, including the sun and moon, glowed because of a small light that dangled within and so at night when it was turned on, it looked bright and amazing. If she was ever reincarnated as a foal, that was what she wanted to stay in her bedroom. The filly sighed, opened her wings and stretched. She yawned briefly then glanced at her side table where her teal colored headband and purple vest coat laid resting. She looked at the vest sadly, it reminded her of the happy-go-lucky days when she was a normal filly who wasn't fear for her differences. She shook her head and ignored it, she didn't see the point in wearing the vest considering the holes for her wings had yet to be cut from it. She, however, picked up the headband and placed it slowly behind her horn, not pulling back her hair first. She glanced at the nearby mirror and smiled at the look, instead of all her hair being pulled behind her horn, it was instead let down and to her, it looked cuter then the design that Rarity had for her. She glanced at the door, and sighed. She sniffed the air a moment later, and filling the air was a sweet aroma that could only belong to one thing, pancakes. This brought the filly's energy back as she ran downstairs, wanting her pancakes and now. She bolted into the dining room and saw her mother sitting at the table, eating some pancakes while a tall pile stood in the center of the table. She grinned to herself, loving the sight of the pancakes. ''Morning, mommy.'' ''Oh. Good Morning, Nyx. Did you sleep well?'' asked Twilight, smiling at her young daughter. ''Sorta, I'm still not use to my bedroom so it was a little hard to settle down last night, and I spent at least an hour reading one of my bedtime stories.'' ''I see. Do you want to sleep with me for a little while, after we get back from Canterlot.'' ''Um, if that's alright with you. Mommy, what are grandma and grandpa like?'' asked Nyx, as the sat down at the table. She levitated some of the pancakes over to her, as her dragon like eyes looked down at the ground. ''W-will they be able to accept my differences, like the Crusaders were?'' ''Well, they are very nice people and they'll accept you without a doubt. You may be Nightmare Moon's reincarnation, but many of Ponyville have accepted you, so it stands to reason that they'll like you as well. Don't stress out about it too much, you'll love them and they'll love you. I am certain about that.'' Nyx decided to keep quiet and eat her pancakes slowly. She loved the taste, like any other filly would about pancakes. Once she had finished her second load of pancakes, she got up and turned to her mom. ''I'm going to go sit in the library and read for a bit. If you want, I could also check if you had any messages from Sunset Shimmer...'' ''Pleased do, sweetie. I wasn't able to check the book after replying to her last message. I wonder what she's been up too.'' ''Well...considering after the incident at the Friendship Games that you missed, I can just guess your counterpart is getting along with the girls and that she's sent you a picture or something. I doubt anything big will happen again.'' said Nyx, with a small smile. She knew that the issues going on in the human world weren't down to magical causes and she doubted anything big would happen again, at least she hoped. ''She's already sent me numerous pictures involving her and the other Twilight, sometimes with the girls and sometimes not. Though, I wish they didn't get so close in the pictures.'' mumbled Twilight, her voice slightly dripping with jealousy. She shook her head, and turned back to her daughter. ''Just check it for me, Nyx.'' ''O-okay...'' mumbled Nyx, getting over her slight surprise at hearing her mother speak with jealousy in her voice. It was really weird, but she knew that she shouldn't get involve in her mother's private life and decided to simply head to the library, which was through the large throne room and at the opposite side of the castle to the dining room, unfortunately. The library, which had once been a surprise to Nyx, was a love at first sight sort of case nowadays. It was a lot bigger then the Golden Oaks Library, but what was to be expected of a castle this large. But she was glad that it was stuffed full with books, numerous books. Usually stacked 3 stories high. She slowly walked towards the mirror, and saw that the book that keep the gateway open was vibrating wildly. She knew why without questioning it and levitated the book to her, opening it to the recent page and glanced briefly at the message that Sunset had put, it was actually pretty surprising considering the recent picture messages. It just simply read: 'Dear Twilight, how is life in Equestria? I do wish you would come back to visit us sometime in the near future, but I do know that will be hard considering your princesshood is much more important. Yet, I can't help but feel like I want to come home, back to Equestria, to you and to Princess Celestia. So, I want to meet up with you, as soon as you get a moment.' Nyx slightly smiled, the idea of Sunset returning home would be a delight to Twilight and to Celestia. She called her mother to the library, and Twilight soon arrived. The filly showed her mother the text, which Twilight glanced over, and nodded, mostly to herself. She turned to Nyx and gently said ''Nyx, I want you to stay here. I'm going to check up on Sunset, I won't be too long, but at least, hope that Sunset will return with me.'' Nyx gently nodded, briefly saying ''Okay''. And watched as Twilight walked through the portal, of course, after putting the book back in it's place. She went to read for a little while. It was going to be very amusing if Sunset did return home. Where would she live, would Twilight let her live here? Or would she have to get her own place. She doubted that Twilight would leave Sunset to fend for herself, so the first option seemed like the most likely outcome. Whatever happened, she would just have to wait and see. Author's Note This is a rewrite of a story I have written before on Fanfiction, that one was just refer to as my sequel to Past Sins but this one is a updated version of that story, so personally I expect differences in my writing skill since I wrote that, over a year ago. Nyx belongs to Penstroke and also, I'm avoiding the sequel to Past Sins till it probably finishes so it won't be relevant in this tale. I'm also gonna try to avoid Trinkets and the others, because they could ruin this story a bit and I don't want that. By the way, this story only goes up to Scare Master chronologically so any events after that won't play a part in this story so yes, the crusaders have their cutie marks. Also, I want to see if you can guess the two pairing's that will be in this story further in. I'll give u a small hint, one is with Twilight and the other is with the reborn Nyx. Also, Sunset never existed in my previous story due to the fact, I wrote it long before the season 4 ended. But, yes, she'll play a big part in the story later in.
Leaving For CanterlotView OnlineRebirthLeaving For CanterlotAbout a hour or two later, Nyx wasn't really worried about time and so didn't check, Twilight returned through the party, falling back onto her hooves and giggling a little, nervously. Sunset walked through after her, luckily, she knew how to land despite having not been in Equestria for ages. Nyx trotted over to them, and helped her mother stand. ''Mommy, you gotta learn how to balance yourself.'' ''That's what I told her.'' said Sunset, nodding in agreement to Nyx. ''By the way, who are you? I'm pretty certain Twilight's a teenager in the Human World......so how can she have a daughter?'' Nyx chuckled nervously, not really getting how somebody's age could change between worlds. ''Wait, how do you have dragon eyes?!'' Twilight chuckled nervously. ''I managed to figure out that the flow of time between the time worlds isn't even, Equestria ages quicker then the human world. I am about 25 here. And this is my young daughter, Nyx. Well, technically born about a year ago now, she is physically around the age of 8/9.'' ''What do you mean by that?'' asked Sunset, curiously. A idea popped in her head, that sounded very weird at first but she decided to ask about it anyway. ''Oh, is she some kinda dragon spawn that you gave birth too?'' ''Well, I'll explain it all to you on the train to Canterlot.'' said Twilight, chuckling. ''And no, she's not a half-dragon.'' ''Okay...'' The train ride was pretty slow, as Twilight explained Nyx's backstory to Sunset, who listened peacefully and eventually asked, wanting to confirm what she had just heard. ''So, basically, your daughter is the reincarnation of Nightmare Moon, who is now Princess Luna, the sister of Princess Celestia. And Nyx almost took over Equestria? Sounds like you been through the roughs.'' ''Well, there was no almost about it.'' said Spike, in a slightly annoyed voice, which caused Nyx to look down at her hooves. ''Ah, I'm sorry about that Nyx, you weren't yourself when that happened.'' ''....I know....b-but...I still....'' mumbled Nyx, as a few tears left her dragon-like eyes. Twilight gently put a hoof on her daughter's head. ''Don't worry, your not at fault and nobody blames you. Nothings to blame.'' She pulled her young daughter into a hug. The black filly tried to struggled out of her mother's hug, but eventually relaxed. ''It's alright, just calm down. No one is going to hate you.'' ''H-how can you be so sure?......'' ''Because most of Ponyville helped me after you were injured in the monster attack. They knew you were good, and they never hated you. Just look at the Cutie Mark Crusaders, have they ever blamed you for any of this? No, in fact, they were brave enough to see you in your scary, old castle without parental supervision, all because they are your friends. And what did you do? You didn't let your 'followers' harm them, you simply placed them in the jail cell, making sure they were feed properly and had shelter. Just like you did with me.'' ''She's right, Nyx. I didn't mean to say it like I did. I was frustrated when you placed Twilight in jail, yet I trusted you to free her. I knew that you weren't evil as I had seen your personality first hoof.'' Nyx didn't answer, just shivered in Twilight's embrace. A couple of tears roll down her eyes. Sunset, who had been keeping quiet, seemed pretty sorry for the troubles that the filly faced. She gently tapped Twilight's shoulder. The mare turned around, wondering why Sunset tapped her back. ''What's wrong, Sunset.'' ''I think, we should keep the surprise till later.'' whispered Sunset, so Nyx couldn't hear her. ''She seems upset and she could possibly take our relationship the wrong way...'' ''Yea, your right. I'll talk to her about it when it's her bedtime.'' said Twilight, quickly nuzzling Sunset so that Nyx didn't it. ''But for now, lets just get to my parents' home and introduce Nyx to her grandparents. If I remember correctly, they were going to show Nyx some of the family's albums. That's a way to get her out of the way for a few minutes, while we tell my parents about our relationship.'' whispered Twilight, sighing a little. She then stopped. ''Let's just calm down and stop talking about it, as Nyx may be getting concerned.'' She glanced at her daughter, who was talking to Spike about Twilight's parents. ''Mommy, what are we going to be doing when we get to Grandma and Grandpa's house?'' asked Nyx, smiling a little. Twilight smiled at her daughter. ''Well, once we get there, it should be lunch time so we'll be eating first thing. I told them to make you some celery soup and daffodil sandwiches, as it's your favorite right. After that, your grandma is planning on showing you some family albums from the past. We will then later have dinner, which will be hay burgers and hot carrots'' ''Oh, sounds fun and delicious.'' said Nyx, nodding in understanding. She loved the sound of celery soup and daffodil sandwiches, it had been her first ever food and so it held a special place in her heart. ''How much longer till we get to Canterlot?'' ''Hmm, considering it's about 10 now. I would say a hour or close enough to 2. So, I would suggest going to sleep for a little while, Nyx. To preserve your energy, after all, you'll be wanting to savor the daffodil sandwiches and soup, won't you?'' Nyx nodded happily, and curl up on her seat in the train. She yawn and fell to sleep, eventually changing positions and laying down on a tired Spike, who gently smiled and ran his claws through the filly's purple mane, allowing the black alicorn to properly settle down. Spike then decided to follow the filly's example and fell to sleep himself. Twilight and Sunset smiled. The orange unicorn then side-glanced at her marefriend, causing Twilight to blush and kiss the unicorn before Sunset did anything embarrassing. Sunset giggled at the alicorn's embarrassment and said, with a happy smile. ''Hey, this is the only time we get for kissing for a little while, might as well make the best of it.'' Twilight shyly nodded, and the two mares continued kissing, very passionately. Twilight even let out a small moan a few times, from the hot passion of the kisses, and the lukewarm saliva that her marefriend was exchanging with her for Twilight's, wasn't helping her embarrassment or the delight of the kisses. Author's Note Hot carrots are the 'carrot hot dogs' from Rarity Takes Manehattan, particularly in Generosity. Also, hot lesbian kisses. At least, I'm not heading for mature. Maybe I should rank this as a teen.....
Family MeetingView OnlineRebirthFamily MeetingNyx walked behind Twilight, taking in the majestic appearances of Canterlot. It wasn't like she had never seen Canterlot, just not up close like this. All the ponies were wearing up-class clothes, and walked with their heads pointing towards the sky. Why? She didn't know. But she did find it a bit funny. She thought about asking her mother for the reason as to the ponies' strange actions, but choose against it as they reached a part of Canterlot that she didn't see all that often, it was pretty close to the castle and unable to be seen from Ponyville, with or without a telescope. She stopped for a little bit, to take in the beauty of Canterlot Castle. It was definitely a lot bigger then her mom's, but she half expected it to be as living in the castle was 2 majestic alicorns, and a bunch of servants. She glanced at the sun and smiled, she did enjoy the daytime that Celestia brought forth, something that her pre-incarnation took no interest in. Yet, at the same time, she enjoyed the night time. The beauty of the stars and the glistening moon that lit up the dark night made it a beautiful arrangement of light that she could look at all night. She admired the immortal alicorns for that reason, they were so creative in their work, something that she had failed at. ''Nyx?'' The black alicorn blinked, having been snapped out of her daze. She turned to see Sunset, looking at her worriedly. ''Aren't you coming along?'' ''Oh, yea. Sorry, Sunset Shimmer....'' mumbled the filly, as she ran to catch up to her family. ''I just got distracted, that's all.'' ''You sure? After all, you seemed pretty out of it.'' asked Sunset, curiously. ''Nob..'' She winced a second, and altered her sentence. ''Nopony stops all of a sudden like that, because they were distracted. Usually...'' ''I just was looking around the city, and happened to spot the castle. I began thinking about how Celestia and Luna put so much effort into what they do...yet when I tried to take over, my efforts went to failure.'' ''That sounds sad.....but, nopony's prefect. Not even Celestia.......The princess, she....always believes she's doing the best for ponies when in reality, she may be hurting them more then helping.'' She then whispered the last bit of the sentence, looking away from the foal. ''Like what she did to me, you and Twilight.'' ''Is something wrong, Sunset?'' asked Nyx, looking up at the older, orange unicorn. ''No. Don't worry about it to much, sweetie. After all, you'll be able to meet the people who raised your mother today, you should be excited for that.'' ''I am pretty excited......yet, I'm nervous at the same time. Auntie Pinkie calls it being 'nervous-excited', yet I'm just scared as to what they'll think of me.......I mean, I turned evil.....shroud the land in eternal darkness....and only half of Ponyville care about me....the rest, wish I was never born.'' A couple of tears rolled down Nyx's black cheeks. ''......Will they love me, Sunset......or will they hate me?'' Sunset frowned a little at the filly's fright. It was a bit illogical for a filly to be this frightened of meeting relatives, even though they were only by adoption. Yet, it was understandable at the same time, she had been through a lot in only a small space of time. After all, the filly's mental mind was that of a 1 year old even though she acts, speaks and can do anything that a normal school-aged filly should be capable of. She was pretty young and shouldn't have gone through any of that. ''I'm sure they'll love you, Nyx. I mean, despite that, you are a sweet, innocent and actually timid foal that anyone can love. You just as adorkable as your mother.'' Twilight obviously heard this as she blushed a little, as she walked up the path to her front door. She gently knocked, and waited a few minutes as Nyx arrived with Sunset, behind her. A voice eventually broke through as the door opened. ''Oh, Twilight! Your home, so what's this about you having a child?'' ''Hey, mom. Ya, she's waiting to meet you. Can you get daddy then I'll introduce you to my daughter?'' said Twilight, to her mother. Nyx blinked as she took in her grandma's appearance, she seemed to be a normal white unicorn with a light purple and white mane, that was styled similarly to Twilight's, even down to the parting in her mane. Her eyes were a bright blue, and her cutie was of 3 dark blue-purplish stars. ''Sure, sweetie.'' She walked back in the house for a moment, and got Twilight's father. She then walked back, and smiled as her husband hugged their daughter. Nyx contiued to take in her grandparent's appearance, as she looked over her grandpa, who was a unicorn like his family and seemed to literally be blue all over, yet the non-blue bit was his yellow and purple crescent moon cutie mark. ''Twily, are you gonna introduce us to your charming daughter and friend then?'' ''Yeah. Okay, mommy, daddy. This here is my beautiful daughter, Nyx.'' said Twilight, with a smile as she levitated her daughter in front of her and smiled. ''Twilight....'' mumbled a mother, with a hint of concern that frightened Nyx. ''She looks like the Nightmare Moon that took over Equestria all that time back......can you explain this?'' ''Oh...'' whispered Twilight, nervously. ''Well, to explain, Nyx kinda is Nightmare Moon. She was born thanks to a spell, that a cult tried to cast that was aimed at bringing Nightmare Moon back as they believed she was the true queen of Equestria. Yet, Celestia interuppted the spell before it could be completed, and the spell was cast aside, being incomplete, it was very unstable and didn't finish. It created Nyx, who I found the next day. She was very weak, and I'll admit, I was scared to see a filly version of Nightmare Moon, yet I took her into my care under the disguise that I was keeping my eye on her. At first, that was it, yet I slowly began to think of her as my daughter. But, by the time I knew I was her mother, she was taken away from me and changed into Nightmare Moon. Nyx, she thought she had been betrayed by me and thus, hated me at first yet when she saved me a little while later, I knew she was still there. She brought herself back by slowly bringing back the sun and happiness to the ponies, yet she didn't believe she could change at first.........till I helped her believe it. With the help from Celestia and Luna, she changed back and I took full control over her, as a parent not just a guardian.'' ''I see, that's a lot to take in at once.'' mumbled her father, nodding. ''But, I can see that you love her, Twily so I won't hate her or you.'' ''I'm agreeing with my husband on this. Nyx, sorry if I scared you a little there.'' said Twilight Velvet, as she gently hugged Nyx. Twilight smiled, as her parents fawned over her daughter. Sunset walked up and hugged Twilight. ''See, your parents do care about her, even though she has differences.'' ''Yeah, I should have believed you.'' said Twilight, nuzzling Sunset gently and smiled.
