The other world
Chapter 1
Load Full StoryThe tree and the sun worked together to make a dark, cool canopy for ponies to rest under. Bon Bon and I relaxed under that very same canopy, as I sketched out humans, trying to show her what they were like.
"Hey, don't fall asleep!" Bon Bon's eyes were closed, her head was against my shoulder, which was now covered in her drool.
"Ah! Sorry!" She perked up, wiping the liquid from her face. She leaned in to look at my illustrations. "They look pretty weird. What's up with their eyes? They've got tentacle thingies..." She pointed her hoof at a sketch of an eye I had drawn.
"No, no!" I laughed. "You can't see those tentacle thingies, because they're inside the human's head! They attach to the brain to let them see." Bon Bon nodded her head, finally understanding. Her eyes darted around the paper, observing every line. She continued to ask questions, and I continued to answer them, until it grew dark. I looked up at the sunset.
"It's getting dark. We should go home now." Bon Bon nodded in agreement. She headed back towards the house, and I headed towards Zecora's.
"Hey, where are you going?" Bon Bon called back.
"Going to Zecora's! I wanna see if she can make a potion that'll give me hands!" Bon Bon snorted, trying not to laugh. I could tell! I knew her too well.
"Well, be careful that you don't run into any Everfree beasts!" She called back jokingly.
"Don't worry, I will!" We both burst into laughter, and went our seperate ways.
I wish we hadn't.
