Not a Single Button Anymore
A normal day for ButtonMash. Playing Mooncraft on his pBox. Just building a simple wood house before he went to school. He finally got his backpack and walked out his house's door. Doing the same as he did everyday. Walking to school, putting his things in his locker. All normal things for him. But this time, SweetieBell, the filly who owned the locker next to his, asked him a question.
"Hey Button, erm, want to come to my house say around, six thirty tonight?"
"Well, I guess. I just haft to ask my mom. But, I'm sure it will be ok!" he replied.
She then stared into his eyes, in a way he had never seen before. Almost a look of great anticipation. He just ignored it.
During Ms. Cherliees math lesson, Button noticed something. It seemed Sweetie always had her ayes on him. Kind of creepy actually. But then, something really strange happened. One of SweetieBell's friends, the orange one, handed him a note. He was a little confused by it.
Aren't you two cute. It read. Now, he though she knew something that he didn't. But, the bell rang for lunch. So, he went to his locker, grabbed his lunchbox, and galloped outside. He sat at his usual place. The tree next to the school building. But, he heard a voice from the opposite side of the oak tree. It was SweetieBell. She quickly scooted beside. This made him nervous. Almost like a surprise attack. She just, stared at him. Eyes glittering. He didn't quite understand. She was even blushing. He, just had a confused look. But then, she kissed him! His eyes darted, he blushed, and then SweetieBell ran to Celestia knows where. But what had to be the best part, was every pony was watching! They all just Awed, and oooooooed. Now, the more or less anger kicked in. After school, he got home and slammed the door.
"Honey, what's wrong?" his mother asked.
"SweetieBell kissed me! For no reason. While every pony was watching!" Button screamed. "They all mocked me the entire day!"
"Aw, my little boy is growing up. Maybe by force. But growing up!" she replied with a happy tone.
It then clicked in his head. The staring, the invitation to her house, her friend's note. She had a crush on him. And apparently thought the feeling was mutual. he then, felt kinda mean. So, he asked his mom about going to her house, which she said yes. He decided he would say sorry. And explain the situation.
As he walked up to the large dress shop as he recognized it, his heart was speeding. He was even starting to come around to the idea of having a special some pony. He walked up to the door, and knocked. A white pony with a purple mane.
"Oh. SweetieBell, your friend is here" she said as she did air quotes with her hooves.
Sweetie came down, face pale as a vampony. She just ponied him to a table in the middle of the room with what seemed to be a pot of green tea on it. He just took a seat. Then, it was awkward silence.
"Soooo." Button muttered.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions." she stated quietly.
"No, I'm sorry. I may have mislead you." he retorted.
"It's just, I've had a crush on you since the beginning of the school year." SweetieBell added.
"Well, we can try and make this work I suppose." Button stated.
Then, they just laughed and talk. And had some green tea. Everything seemed, better now. It was time to say goodbye though. At 9, ButtonMash had to go home. They hugged, said they'll see each other tomorrow, and button left. He walked in the door, and entered his room. He then played a hour of Mooncraft. Then went to sleep. All in all, it was a pretty good day. And he looked forward to a better one tomorrow. Dreams of happiness all over. Button dreamt of their conversations, their laughing, all of it. In fact, he was so anxious for tomorrow, he could barley sleep. Smile on his face, fun in his dreams, and a happy year for all!
Not a Single Button Anymore
Everything was perfect. Button and Sweetie had a nice relationship. Eventually, all the gossip settled down at school as well! They had a lot of fun. Even got to know each other a bit better. Now, it was a even better school day.
RING RING RING. Went the school bell as lunch ended. SweetieBell and ButtonMash returned to their desks for science. Their teacher talked about the ponyiodic table of elements, science safety, and all kinds of cool experiments soon to come. After that, it was time to go home. Sweetie was coming over to Buttons house to play Mooncraft.
They walked into Button's house, talked to his mom, and went up to his room to play the nifty pBox game. Button booted on the console and connected two controllers. They started chopping wood, making tools, etc. Then started to mine. Of course, encountering a few creatures. Some zombies, creepers, and enderponys. But kept digging. Eventually finding gold, and diamonds. Having fun at every turn. Even building a mansion of gold! They also made diamond equipment. Swords, axes, you name it. All in a few hours. Sweetie of course had to go home. But hey, time fly's when your having fun. Right?
But, as the days kept rolling, the fun never stopped. Even during summer break. All smiles and laughter. But yep. two is always better then one. So, maybe every pony could learn this lesson. Now that, would be something. None the less, days of fun and splendor. And a happily ever after. For button, Sweetie, and all.
