Awoken by Love

Discord took a deep breath and knocked on the door. He knew this was probably pushing it but he was just feeling really lonely. He wanted some company and Fluttershy was his friend. He felt like she would allow him to just visit for at least a little bit, even if it was really late.

After a few seconds, the door came open slowly and Fluttershy stood in the door way.

"Discord? What are you doing here so late? I mean, I'm happy to see you but..." Fluttershy was interrupted by Discord.

"It's fine my dear, I know what you meant. It's just...I was a little lonely and I always enjoy your company. I hope you don't mind me stopping by at such an hour," Discord said.

"Oh, I don't mind at all! Come in, Discord." She gestured for him to come in. He did so and Fluttershy closed the door behind them.

They both walked into the living room and sat down.

"So, why were you lonely Discord?" Fluttershy asked.

"I um...I don't know. I just kind of...wanted to be with somepony and you were the first pony I thought of..." Discord lost his train of thought as he looked at the Pegasus and felt like he couldn't look away. She looked so beautiful.

"Aww, that is sweet, Discord. Why don't you stay the night then? You can sleep in my bed and I'll sleep on the couch," Fluttershy said with a smile.

"Oh no! I wouldn't want to impose on you..." Discord said, a thought occurring to him.

'When did I become so polite? I usually want to impose on ponies...'

"I insist and it's no trouble at all. It's late though so why don't I show you to the room and tuck you in?" She asked with a smile on her glowing face.

"Alright...as long as you don't mind," Discord said, still kind of feeling bad for being a bother to her.

"Of course I don't," she said as she lead him up to her room. He laid down on the bed and Fluttershy slowly covered him up with the covers. "You don't need to do that Fluttershy..."

"I want to, Discord. It's my pleasure to make sure you're comfortable," she said. Discord then wrapped his arms around her and snuggled her up.

"Thank you for being my friend," he said.

"It's no problem, Dis-" Fluttershy then heard Discord snoring and smiled to herself. She herself was getting very tired so she just placed Discord down and covered him up again but then she snuggled up beside him and put some covers over herself. She was too tired to even walk back down the steps to the couch. She laid her head down on his shoulder and began to drift into peaceful slumber.
