Love is Magic: The Feelings of a Princess

Princess Celestia already raised the sun over her sister's beautiful night when Twilight Sparkle woke up. This was her first morning in her world since the events of Canterlot High. She could hear the birds singing their sweet melody. The light was penetrating through the windows, and that gave to the Princess's bedroom a magic ambiance. The alicorn unwillingly leaved her cozy blankets, brushed her violet, sapphire blue and brilliant rose mane, before putting on her head her magnificent element of Magic crown. The one that was stole by Sunset Shimmer. The one that cause all this adventure. The one that permitted her to met Flash Sentry.

Flash Sentry... This handsome boy she met in the other world. He charmed her with his smile, his kindness, his beauty... The purple Princess would love to forget him, at least just for one day. But she couldn't. It was impossible. Like a beautiful memory, his picture was printed in her head. In High School, the young mare discovered a new emotion. Something she never felt before, something that made her heart melt and brought little butterflies in her tummy, just like Fluttershy's. Something that Twilight felt when she saw him for the first time.

And boom. She bumped into his pony form yesterday, just like in Canterlot High. She didn't thought she would met him in Equestria. However, it was logical, because everypony except her and Sunset Shimmer had a human counterpart, but at first, she didn't considered it. But, even as surprised as she was, she couldn't say that she didn't want to see him. Now, there's no chance his beautiful smile leaved her mind.

Love is a strange thing: That's what Twilight thought. Friendship is less complicated. So, on that reasoning, she leaved her bedroom. Her teacher wanted to see her.

When her student finally stepped in the Crystal Castle Hall, Princess Celestia stopped talking with her guards. Flash Sentry wasn't with them. The goddess's light blue, turquoise, cerulean, and pink-purple mane was flotting softly and lazily, just like her tail. She softly stared Twilight with her light magenta eyes and flashed a sweet smile. Twilight performed a curtsy like always, but the princess of the Sun reminded her another time (it wasn't the first):

• Twilight, Twilight, the white alicorn said with a bright smile. My faithful student, did you know that princesses do not bow to another. But, if you want me to perform a curtsy each time you enters in a room, I can do it.

• No, no... I mean, it's a habit. I wasn't a princess before, the purple mare replied, blushing. And I will always be your faithful student. So you're still my Superior, majesty.

• Good point, my dear, but please don't call me like that. Now, I'm sure you would love to know why you came to the Crystal Empire in the first place, just before the... complications.

Celestia's smile faded when remembering her old student. Sunset Shimmer was a fantastic pony, always happy and ready to help everyone. She studied magic a lot with curiosity and fascination. The Sun goddess got finally the daughter she always wanted, but never had. But, each day, her greed and her jealousy grew bigger. She wanted to be a princess. Her kind, happy, nerdy and loyal student turned into a cruel, dishonest and egoist unicorn. Before anything bad could happened, Celestia banished the wicked mare of Canterlot, but she escaped and jumped into the mirror.

Twilight noticed her sadness, and easily guessed the cause.

-You know, Princess, I saw Sunset Shimmer before leaving. She apologized to everyone she had hurt, and admitted not knowing anything about friendship. My human friends are going to teach her. She's ready to start a new life.

• She is?

Celestia was surprised by that revelation. She tried as hard as possible to convince Sunset Shimmer that friendship is magic, but the amber-coated pony didn't listen. Is the wicked mare really ready to change and returning in the good side?

• Yes she is, Twilight answered with a beautiful smile. So stop crying, my dearest teacher.

• I wasn't...

• Oh yes you were!

• No! I'm allergic.

• Really? I never heard of that.

• Enough distractions. Celestia clears her throat. I was saying...

Toc! Toc! Toc! Someone was knocking at the door.

• Can I just FINISH MY SENTENCE! Celestia shouted, frustrated.

• I'm sorry Tia... Can I enter? I'm with Cadance...

• Oh, forgive me Luna. Yes, you can come in.

The doors opened, and two princesses entered. The first one, who had a dark blue coat, was definitely older. Her mane was a beautiful sapphire blue with a grayish persian aura, and was floating just like Celestia's. The second had a pale, light grayish cerise coat and a violet, rose and pale gold mane. The purple alicorn immediately recognized the goddesses of Love and of the Night.

• Twilight!

• Cadance!

• Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake... Clap your hooves and do a little shake!

After their little choreography, the two alicorns retrieved their seriousness. It was a ritual for them since their young years, because princess Mi Amore Cadanza was Twilight Sparkle's foalsister. And now that the pink mare is married with Shining Armor, Twilight's BBBFF (Big Brother Best Friend Forever), these two are closer than ever.

• We really need to do something like that... Luna whispered to the princess of the Sun. I already have an idea!

• As I was saying to Twilight, the white alicorn said (amused by her sister's comment), now that you have a castle, new powers, a title...

• You need guards! Cadance interrupted her adoptive aunt, excited. It's not all of that because you also need a flag and lots of other things, but...

• Oh COME ON Cadance! Celestia shouted unhappily. I've been trying to say that since 5 minutes! Next time, can you just PLEASE don't interrupt me!

• I'm sorry, auntie... It'll not happen again.

The princess of the Night couldn't take it anymore. She bursted out laughing and fell on the floor. Luna was pratically crying. All that situation was so ridiculous!

• Luna, for goodness sake, just stop! Celestia yelled, without hiding her amusement.

Some curious guards were watching the scene, as disturbed as the purple mare. Candance chuckled. She had the same reaction, the first time. She'd been traumatized for one week, but she was only 3 and  afraid of big and loud monsters.

It was not common to see Luna laughing, because she's really super serious like, all the time! But when she does, nopony can stops her. Not even her sister Celestia! Probably the blue mare will stop laughing when she will get tired.

• What are we doing now? Asked Twilight. She came at her side, troubled by all this action. It was comprehensible, because she never saw Luna like this before. She'll get accustomed to this soon.

• Nothing, Candance answered. We wait.

• How much time this will last?

• Probably 20 minutes. Maybe more, maybe less.

• Gee, that's a lot of time!

• That's Luna. She will stop when she will stop.

• Can I ask you a question?

• Sure, sweetie. What do you want to know?

• More about... the guards. What did you mean?
