//-------------------------------------------------------// The Dragon Chronicles -by Sirinus Sapphire- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prisonish escape //-------------------------------------------------------// Prisonish escape ????? Prisonish escape I sat up moaning with stiff pain alongside pins and needles. I get up. More moaning. Ow, ow and more ow "Hello?" I called out. My voice seemed to bounce across the room, make a vague shape of every thing around me. Not much in the room but a bed and a large door. Great. I can hear like a bat. I went on to open my eyes but could only see blackness. Double great. I'm also blind. I lifted a... foot? A thing? Anyway I lifted a thing  up to my forehead to wipe the sweat that had formed. Doing that I noticed three things at once. I don't have things. I have sphircle, flat, fuzzy things. Hoof is the word that comes to mind. But without a horseshoe. I have a cone on my head. After running a... hoof along its length I found it had two lines twisting around and meatiness a a single, sharp point. A horn? I have thick(and kind of long) hair stretching on top my head and down a longish neck. I'm a horse. A midget one, no less. Curse Poseidon! Poseidon? Hmm... Anyway, I begin to discover the strangeness of my body. Very overly large wings and a extraordinarly thick tail. I stretch the Lents of my tail and find that it is actuly folded, when it really is(approximately) seven meters long. I toss it against  the floor. Hold. I felt that! Not vibrations or anything. I mean I actuly felt that in my tail. I'll  try some thing else. I reaching out to grab the far corner off the bed. My tail obeys without qustion. I try the set it to "default" mode. It automatically folds up to how it was before. How odd. I have nerves in my tail. After about another ten minutes messing about with what I can do I hear footsteps. Correction. Hoof steps. Toward this room I'm in out of pure defence instinct my tail lashes on to the bed's feet and hoists it above my head. Key and lock clicking. The door groans open. "Good afterno-  WHOA!" The voice was calm, collected and confedent.. Except for the "whoa" part. And he was absolutely male (I hope). I threw the bed to my left and bolted, seeing my escape opportunity. I jumped over his head and barrelled down the corridor leaving a lot of yelling behind me. Not half a moment later I heard whooshes and whistles past my ear while forming a wall of stuffy stuff up ahead of me. Oh shist, what do I do. Speak the following word while focusing and channeling your power. A voice in my head. Loverly. I did what the voice told me to anyways, although I doubt it would work. "Ha-di!" I screamed out. I heard a shimmering sorta' noise followed by lots of explosions on the barrier ahead. I kept running onward. Eventually after about twenty minutes of running, I slammed into a door raced to what I could guess was a large garden, by the sound of it. By that time I ran out of breath and stumbled into a... waist... high pond. Then I herd sounds of steel upon steel. "You are surrounded. surrender now, or be poked!" said a gruff and cautious voice. "Poked?" Another asked, "that's stupid. How 'bout 'or be aggressively disemboweled?'" "Nah." "Damn it." Everyone was silent. After afew moments I heard yet another voice, no louder than a whisper, coming from the water. "Do you need help? I think you need help. We can help!" Followed by a fair amount of giggles. Water. Let's see what I can do. I tried To imagin the waters spinning around in a circle, incasing me in a sphere, protecting me. That's exactly what it did. More yelling. And girly giggles from the water. I could try to keep this going for a few seconds. But I'm out of energy now. A ant could atack me now I would hardly be able to defend my self. So I throw a stick. SLOSH! A silent pause. "I'm out," was all I said. Another pause. Then came single laghter. "Impressive, I must say!" It was the voice from when I was in the room. "Soldiers, stand ground," after that order, I "heard" the spears point away from me, followed by a chuckle. "You have caused me a good deal of trouble, sir. My name is Shining Armor, captain of the royal guards. And now, I'm afraid, I must take you to see the princesses." "Shining Armor, what was all the noise about?" A new vice spoke when I entered a very large room with "Shining." The new voice was definitely female as well as more stronger and regal than the others I have heard. "It was this stallion here, your highness," oh good. Just making sure I was a guy and not a tricycle. Then one more voice came, again female, but more grouchy and annoyed. "I doubt he could cause that of much of a din." No comments from anyone. "Anyways, thank you Shining Armor for bringing him in. Please leave us now," called the first one. I heard a trotting down the corridor behind me. I was alone in a large room with only two super powerful beings. How did I know they were super powerful? They sent off a sort of vibe, an aurora if you will, that radiated power around the room. That would be why I flinched when one began talking to me. "Greetings, my name is Princess Celestia. This is my sister, Princess Luna. And who may I ask are you? "I'm afraid I don't know who I am. And sorry for trashing your castle," I responded rather sheepishly. "I accept your apology, thank you. Do you happen to know of where you came from?" "I don't think you will get many answers, sorry." So we continued on, each princess asking me a qustion in turn. Luna kept insisting that I was lying, which made it kind of frustrating. After seemingly hours of talking, questioning and answering, Celestia finally told me of the few things she new of. "You simply appeared here, with only an amulet." At the end of that sentence I felt something fall around my neck. Something a bit weighty. "It has been tested and has a strong magic within it, but not even our best researchers and studiers can unlock it," Luna stated a-mater-of-factly. You will be setting of in the morning tomorrow if you have no objections." I just shook my head in response. "Good. Now go rest," she continued. As I tured to leave, one more question struck me. "How long was I asleep for?" "Five days," both said in unison. I went back down to my "bed chamber" following a guard to get their through the labyrinth of halls. As soon as my body flopt down on the bed, to weak to think about food, drinks or anything. The power I used to get away from the guards must of drained me. My last thought was to hope for a restful night of sleep. Zzzzzzzzz... //-------------------------------------------------------// The town of horsey doom //-------------------------------------------------------// The town of horsey doom ????? The town of horsey doom Mental note: never ride a train again. My body was shaking, shuddering and sweating the whole time. I think I have a fear of trains. Sad really. For what purpose, are we on a train? asked a voice. The same one from yesterday. I now have time to notice that it was similar to mine. Only older, wiser and stronger. Because we are going to a place called 'Ponyville.' I know. Terrible name. I thought clearly as I recalled the instructions that were give to me before I left. I started to feel the train slowing down and ponies walking toward the doors, and jumped off my seat to join them. As so as the door opened my wing flapped them selfs and I shot forward into a wall on the platform. And yes, it hurt. After a few minutes of grumbling on the station platform, I'm picked my self up and went down a random street. Wonder if I'll get mugged here. Anyway, I passed a curious array of buildings. Another three steps and my nose collided will a wonderful smell. A smell of fresh baked cakes. It's hunting time. Nose close to ground like a dog. Check. Sniffing for lovely smell. Check. Following smell. Check. I tracked the smell all the way to a shop. A cake shop. Yumsies! I err... trotted inside for a quick snack. Gods, I got to get used to these horse terms. After I polished off all of my chocolate cake, I went to town hall for housing details. I met the mayor, talked, bought house, blah blah blah, ect. ect. To basically sum it up, it was boring. After about an hour of getting lost, I finally fond the place. It was a comfortable little house sitting in the middle of a  area of grass, like a large paddock with trees dotted around and a stream running through. Right next to a place called the "Everfree forest." Went inside. The interior was plain, normal and stripped bare of any kind of decoration. I decided to leave and grab some very important things for my new 'home'. Ever tried to carry a bed and a mattress around above your head with only hooves? No? My advice: don't. It's HARD. I would spell the word but I can't spell so... meh. And I have to lug it all the way to my place and through the door which is in another category itself . Lift it higher, boy! Shut up and stop trying to be my personal fitness trainer, I grumbled. And tell me who you are! silence. Yeah, so I had a lovely boring time hauling a bed around and finnding a good position in my bedroom for it, once I had I went to the kitchen and whipped out the knife I also bought. That's right. I'm a bad boy. I bought a knife. A very sharp one. Anyone who doesn't like that will have to deal with it. I lay my head down on the bench in the kitchen and raised the knife above me. I slammed down with all my might and I prepared to start sawing. Each of the smallest movements made my head throb in pain and I stated to scream and shriek. "Muaa!" I was so started I lost my grip on the knife, which would of been very dangerous if it wasn't logged 2 inches into my horn. I walked over to the window and opened it. "Muaa?" I repeated. "Yes, muaa. You never heard goat sounds before?" Came a voice from the bushes right underneath the windowsill. "Oi," I said, "get out of there, thank you very much." I was annoyed. So, as I requested, the figure leapt from the brambles. The little dude had the upper half of a human and the lower half of a goat, you know, with the hoofs, fur, the whole enchilada. I'm sorry, but all I could sa y at that moment was "A saytr?" The hybrid bloke just chuckled, "Thank you, for establishing fact of my species you get my respect. My name is Ampelos." "I'm... not sure about my name," I said glumly. "Oh, sor- Why have you got a knife in your horn?" "It's  stuck, I tried to cut it off." "Here, let me help," he began while stretching out his arms and begining to saw, "Are you planning on keeping this off?" "I hope," I said through tightly gritted teeth. "Well then, have this," after sliding the knife out of my horn, putting his hands in a pouch around his waist and pulling out some kind of plant and some verbal instructions, which I obeyed immediately. Kill it the pestering voice said. No was my instant reply. "One more thing," Ampelos began, "why have you got a baboon in your house?" I use my crazy hearing and sure enough, their was a baboon right behind me holding a basketball. "Agh" the baboon commented. "He says his names Nefriety," my new saytr buddy said. "Anyway, I best be going." This is a most startling day. I'll just chuck my horn on the bench, make a potion out of it tomorrow and have an early night. It's around 6:30 anyway. Carrying bed around beds is hard. I flopped down on the soft bed and just felt over the amulet around my neck. It was blank on one side and the other had a 'eye of Horus' design. Funny. Is I started to drift of the little sound in my head talked again. Are you ready for a trip? I assume I don't have a choice, I replied. Not really, he admitted. As I felt my eyelids droop I felt a tugging in my gut, but at that moment I fell asleep.
