(Note: This is a story that will be played differently depending on how everyone wants it to play, like Mass Effect and this one story I read. The Prologue basically sets the story up for you all to decide what to happen next. Hopefully you'll all like it, and this will be my side project. Hope you all enjoy.)

Equis.

This is the last place you'd expect to hold some dark secret, or ancient evil, or the such. Sure, there was Discord, Nightmare Moon, and even Chrysalis, but these things weren't nearly as evil as what ponies were led to believe. There was far worse evil than them, be it from games or reality, there is always a very dark evil.

But, aside from that, the ponies thought they were the only race to have lived on Equis... aside from the Griffons, Dragons, Zebras, and the such, but no other races have ever been recorded from what they've found. Some of the ponies thought there were no such thing as aliens as well, and that Equis was the only planet of life.

This is far from the truth.

Now, after centuries of believing they were alone, a simple dig team finds an ancient ruin deep underground, and as you'd expect, immediately tells their princess. The ruins are of unknown origins, obviously not pony made, no... it seemed different, far more different from what they knew of.

What is down in these ruins? What could this mean for pony kind?
