//-------------------------------------------------------// The Vampire Pony Returns -by YugiohMAN420- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One An echoing creek from a grasshopper played under the evening sky. Nature is in full effect out there in the Everfree, so silent and peaceful while the violence and macabre go on hidden from sight. Animals tearing each other apart in search of nourishment that would keep them satisfied for a few more days. A small bush shaking about without giving sight to the predator killing its tiny prey, not anything else to notice it. Nature the deceitful beauty, urging you to follow her footsteps before being entrapped in its hidden claws. While the symphony of nature continues to play, a large unknown quadruped walks through the tall grass before finding a circle devoid of any vegetation. On the dirt sat a fat boar in the middle of the circle. It was a recent kill, blood seeping out of its neck from the massive tear mark. It had a blatant expression of terror on its face. On the sight of the blood, a growl came from the quadruped, two bright red eyes lit up from the darkness. Created by the tall trees that blocked the setting sun. A flash of bright light caused the quadruped to show its true form. Pink from head to toe, hooved, a long-streaked mane and tail, three balloons on her flank. She backed away from the powerful light before hissing like a snake. Showing her large vampiric teeth before they retracted back in to her mouth. Cowering behind a tree is an instinctive thing to do in these situations. You wouldn't want to be melted alive in a single second. "Pinkie Pie, come this instant." She shuddered at the deep voice; it didn't help that her hunger was consuming her let alone going to this meet-up in such odd circumstances. Pinkie Pie knew that being this far without satisfaction would cause her to act erratically and didn't expect herself to freak out on the sight of light. She had grown accustomed to the sun and its bright rays, always following the guidelines so she wouldn't hurt herself too bad. The voice she heard is recognizable, yet hard to pin point. Trust to come out came short. "Who are you? You sound familiar" yelled Pinkie Pie. "Come out of hiding and you will know". Pinkie thought for a second of who he might have been. It had been too long since she had seen anypony that would mail her with the sign of her kind. Getting it in the middle of the day while the sun lit up above on a casual morning in Ponyville. It was jarring to say the least and using an excuse of visiting Twilight to hide the fact of what she is doing was risky. Pinkie continued to stand behind the tree trunk, awaiting for an idea of what to do. "Is this how you treat your master, Deceite?" No, it couldn't be!? It's him!? How! Pinkie cautiously left the tree she so hid behind. The clothed figure stood on top of the boar while a pool of blood was made around it. His weight caused the creature to drip even more blood. Pinkie Pie's fangs jutted out easily for her hunger was incredible. She dived forward at a fast pace and went headfirst into the pool. Sucking its delicious contents from the dirt, Pinkie was ravenous and took it all in a few seconds. "Good, when your finished maybe we can talk more about your friend Twilight Sparkle" With a slurp of the last drop, Pinkie finished licking her blood covered lips. She had her fill and looked up to her food supplier. He turned towards a tree and brought a hoof near its trunk. With ease, he slammed his hoof onto the base and cut it into a stump. The tree itself flew a few feet away. "Come and sit, we have much to discuss, but first, would you take off your skin?" Pinkie took a look at her epidermis. The usual fun, Pink coloration that she is used too. She grasped her skin and groaned. With herculean strength, she ripped and it came off easily. Under the fake pink skin was something darker and more akin to stone. She continued ripping the skin that hugged all over her body. Her face came off like a saggy mask, and her mane fell down like a popped balloon to her sides. When she was done, her mane was bright red and her body black as onyx stone. She sat on the stump that was cut down, it was rugged on her rump. "What are you doing here father!?" "I've come to inform you that everything is coming together", The cloaked figure stared as the morning sun settled down to the earth. "I've read through you and Maud's reports about the friends you've made" "What is it that you require of me then?" said Pinkie. The clothed figure, now seeing the sun come down and the moon watch overhead, uncovered his hoodie to show his stone mug. He was dark like Pinkie, but had a long bright orange mane and tail. "Don't be so hasty child, I've just been wondering how is life among the common food supply, you haven't gotten hurt have you?" "No father, I've been having a wonderful time and just need a little while longer to figure out things" said Pinkie with a shrug. "I'm sorry Deceite, the reason I have come personally is to inform you that we are moving forward" "I see...", Pinkie looked downtrodden, all the time she had spent with her friends and it is now the time to strike. If only she could have had more time. "You know what we must do, it has been too long that we have waited for our Princess to return, you and I both know that she has been brain washed by that burning curse of a sister!" "Yes, I know, I also wanted to say sorry for the failure of turning Fluttershy, I didn't expect her transformation to have such results..." "It doesn't matter, we have you, we will always have you as our Bearer of Laughter, we don't need any more than that" "Well, thanks dad, at least" "Good, now be a good girl and do what is best for us all, your sisters and all of your family are going to be counting on your success" "I understand, I will make sure it all works out" "Good, till next time" Igneous turned towards the torch and blew, all thats left was total darkness. Pinkie Pie heard the familiar screech that would make itself known from Sugar Cube Corner. It had been late and opening the door would hopefully not wake anypony. She didn't want The Cakes to see her form as is and needed to quickly get into her room. She closed the door without making anymore of a peep. Around her the darkness was prevalent, yet she could easily see through it with her natural vampiric eyes. Every single dimension of each furniture could be seen and she navigated the darkness with ease. Quickly opening the door to her room, past the cash register and up the stairs to where the living quarters were. Inside was the usual small fair that she lived in. Pictures of her friends and their many adventures in Equestria littered the walls of the place. She turned under her bright pink bed and shuffled through the many toys, trinkets, and party tools until she found a little wrapped pink circular fabric. Tearing the fabric from its plastic prison, she slammed it into her skin. It spread over her natural rock hard vampiric body. She had to lift up her own hooves for it to spread easily throughout. Then, she took a deep breath as it covered up to her mouth and eyes. Pinkie, now completely one with the fake skin, looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. Even though there was going to be a major conflict sometime soon, she could still pretend for what time she had left. A bit hungry, she went to her closet right next to the bed and pulled apart the clothes she would wear at special occasions and find a hidden refrigerator sitting idly on the left of the small closet. It had a coded lock and she inputed it in the numbers "2681" in quick succession. It made a quick beep and Pinkie released the door to find large blood packets cooled in a frozen atmosphere. She took one and bit with her vampiric teeth, sucking away the blood that was kept inside. Suddenly, a light from out of the window. It was the sun rising to greet the earth once more. Pinkie used to fear the sun, always having comfort in the darkness that wouldn't burn or scathe her. Now, seeing the sun rising gave her a feeling of joy. Something about this that always pumped her up for the day. Parties and bakeries to be made and no time to lose. It was a nice feeling. Now all she had to do was her daily routine. Wait, no she couldn't, it would be too late if she wasted any more time. The biggest threat had to be dealt with. They had a plan for Princess Celestia, even for the goddess they cherish so if she succumbs to her mind control. No, Pinkie had to do something about the only threat that they had no contingency for. Pinkie left Sugar Cube Corner and went straight to The Crystal Tree. She had to do what must be done. At any cost. Spike dusted the floor of the crystalline surface that made up the place. He had been dusting for several hours now, helping Twilight keep the place clean. It was an arduous task, though he would do it without complaint. He swiped a drop of sweat from his brow and made a tired groan. Now that he had swept all over the place, he decided to take a break and sit in his seat near the round table while Twilight sat in hers. "Hey Twilight? Why did you want this place so spic and span anyways?" Twilight looked at her surroundings, the crystalline architecture felt like it all meant something, but she couldn't quite get her hoof on it. "I feel like were going to be needing this place more than we think, I just want to keep it nice and clean for what we use it for." "Well alright, I'm gonna rest here, I set the broom over to the side if you'll need it" "Alright Spike, thank you for your hard work." "Any time, any time." Spike sat his head on the crystalline table to rest. Entering through the door, Pinkie Pie emerged to find the two slouching at the round table. Twilight turned her lazy head to notice her compadre Pinkie and waved her hoof as a sign of hello. "Oh, hey Twilight, you still cleaning up the place?" "Yea, now were just sitting here for a bit, what is it that you need Pinkie?" Pinkie Pie went to where Twilight sat and began to massage her. "Oh, I just wanted to come and visit for a job well done, the place is sparkling!" "Sweet Celestia, your hooves feel amazing" Pinkie Pie now done with the back, started working through the head until she got a firm grasp. "Hey, Twilight, I'm sorry." "Sorry for what?" Pinkie then snapped Twilight Sparkle's neck. Her head fell before Pinkie Pie held her. She then carried the dead body and left the Crystal Tree in silence. Spike continued to lay his head while Pinkie Pie left with the corpse. It was very cold, and dark. A cramped feeling, wooden walls that tightened movement. Panic set in before jerking and breaking through the wooden surface. More darkness, but it was odd, she could see all that was around her. It was a weird sensation to be able to see in the dark so well. She got out of the coffin and found herself in some kind of catacombs of sorts. There were equine skulls all over the place, like a decoration. She looked down at her purple skin and couldn't recall anything prior to waking up here. All she could know was the hunger that scratched her brain. Then, she noticed the clothed figure watching her. "Uh!? Who are you!? Where am I?" The clothed figure revealed its face, Onyx skin, Bright red mane and tail. "Welcome home Twilight." "Home?" "Yes, hungry? I brought you a meal" In her hoof, Pinkie revealed a packet of blood she saved. "Have some, it will quench your thirst" Twilight was hesitant, she didn't know who she was or who that pony is. She could talk and do anything like any other pony. Although, the only thing that continued to bother her than all these questions, was the hunger. With instinctive fervor, Twilight snatched the packet and bit down. She drank it heavily and felt a sensation of satisfaction all over herself. So desperate, that Pinkie Pie would only smile at how hungry she was. "Ah, yes, you will do just fine here, come! we have much to discuss" And so, Twilight followed the unknown equine to wherever she may go. For vampiric instinct was all that is left.
