Chapter 4-Invasion of Canterlot

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Four and Six jumped down from the hole and into the streets of Canterlot. Still not completely used to his body Six fell as soon as he hit the ground. They looked for the nearest changeling to attack. One was roughly ten feet away and eating the love out of a couple. It finished with a swipe of its tongue and looked for its next victim. The changeling saw Six and Four, and flew at them to knock them down for its next meal.

The two brothers looked at each other and nodded. They stepped apart and waited for the changeling to get close. Once it got within striking distance Four dove under its legs to catch it off guard, while Six stayed back and delivered a blow powerful enough to crush its skull. A green goo spilled out of a split in the changelings forehead.

Four looked at Six and asked, "Do you have wings by any chance?"

'Umm...' Six looked under his cloak and saw that he did in fact have wings. 'Ya, why are you asking?'

"Look up." Four pointed towards the sky and Six looked to where he was pointing. There was a small swarm of changelings above, ready to attack anyone. "That's why. So you ready to fly?"

'Not yet. My wings need to stretch. I'll stick to the ground and rooftops while you take out the ones in the air.' Six replied while he stretched his wings under his cloak.

"Okay, see ya later." And with that Four took to the skies, leaving Six to run and jump along the streets and rooftops.

A couple changelings found their fallen brother with a cracked open skull. They caught a small glimpse of a cloak going around a corner and decided to follow it in hopes of it being the killer. What they found was a surprise, they found nothing. They were so busy being confused that they didn't notice Six sneak up behind the three of them. Six grabbed one changelings head and twisted it, leaving the body to fall to the ground with a small thump. The other two saw their sister have her neck snapped and charged at Six with all their force in their wings. Waiting for the first to come within striking distance, Six readied for the attack.

With a hoof in front of it the changeling hoped to catch the attacker in the face, but instead had that same hoof pushed to the right and felt a deathly blow in its side. Six jumped back a couple feet waiting for the next attack. The second changeling charged with its horn ready to stab. A couple more inches and its horn would be lodged in the cloaked ponies heart. The changeling felt an opposite and guessed it stabbed the pony. That was not the reason, the pony had stopped its attack with a single hoof. With speeds immeasurable the pony brought a hoof up and under the changelings chin. The force didn't stop once it struck the changeling, and went into its head and out the top with green goo covering the pony's hoof.

'That was too easy.' Six thought, 'The combat trainers need to do a better job, these giant bugs are too predictable.'

Four had been ambushed by a small squadron of changelings from below. Two tried to grab Four from directly under along with two more above. Four thrust his wings forward and the four changelings collided and fell onto the roof below. Four looked down to see if any more tried that stupid trick. He saw about five or six came at him from a rooftop not to far away. Two flying side by side were quickly pushed down and stomped, while three flying behind them were punched and kicked into a state where they couldn't fly and fell.

Looking into the streets hoping to find Six he found at least fifteen surrounding a pony. Upon closer inspection he noticed it was Six fighting the group of changelings.

'He'll be fine.' Four thought while flying to find more changelings to kill.

Not noticing a bulky changeling dropping down onto his position, Four was pushed down. The changeling was forcing Four towards the ground with its hooves. Four didn't have enough time to think of a way out before he hit the stone slabs that were the street. He stood and coughed a bit as the dust cleared, he noticed a decent sized hole where he was standing.

Four looked at the muscular changeling noticing a small red heart on its left shoulder. "So we got a mommies boy." The changeling charged now enraged at the comment. Four simply stepped to the left as the changeling slammed into a brick wall. "Gotta try harder than that pretty boy. Ha!" Four walked away from the now unconscious changeling.

Changelings were every where! In the castle Celestia, Luna, and the Elements were fighting to get to Celestia's chambers. There were too many and they quickly over powered the seven ponies.

"Disperse!" They heard an orderly female voice command the changelings as they finished tying up the princesses and the Elements.

A black and green changeling that was significantly taller than the others walked right up into Celestia's face. "Chrysalis!" Celestia spat at the changeling queen.

"Oh how wonderful it is that you remember me. You know this time you don't have your precious niece and her hubby to stop me this time." Chrysalis said as she walked around the two princesses.

"Maybe we don't but we have something you don't have."

"And what is that, Celestia? Hmm, is it more guards, a bunch of citizens that will fight, or maybe a dog?" Chrysalis laughed.

"Actually we have those but you drained them of their energy. What we have that you don't is FRIENDS! Rarity, would you do the honors?"

Rarity immediately knew what to do. She screamed at the top of her lungs, "HEEEEEEELLP!!!"

"HEEEEEEELLP!!!"

Four and Six looked at each other from above and below. "Hey Six, did you hear that?"

'Yes. It sounded like it came from the castle.' Six looked towards the hole in the wall then to Four, 'Let's go!'

Four flew as fast as he could and Six ran and jumped among the rooftops. They reached the castle and Six used his wings to help propel him up. They ran through the various hallways until they came upon the screams source in the throne room. Rarity was sitting there tied up and screaming for help. Seeing the princesses and the other six ponies tied up made Four hesitant to run in and save them. He had to choose the princesses or the six ponies that he recently befriended. The answer had to come soon or he would make the stupid decision and try to save all of them.

Six on the other ha- hoof had a different idea. 'Hey Four?'

"What is it Six?" He replied.

'They haven't noticed us yet. That means we got the element of surprise. Also, look at where the guards are positioned. Two are on the balconies and four are below. We could take them out one by one and hide the bodies, but we have to do so quick.' Six said/thought to Four.

Four looked at the positions of the guards and saw that Six was right. "Okay," Four said, "Let's do this. I'll take the two on the balconies, while you take the ones below."

Four quietly flew up on to a balcony where a changeling was standing guard. With a kick to the hind legs the changeling fell to ground, before it could call for help Four broke its neck with a swift twist. He then crawled around to the other side careful to stay out of sight. He hovered above a guard for a few seconds before dropping down on its back. Wrapping his hooves around the changeling's neck, Four choked the changeling into an unconscious state, then broke its neck.

Looking down to find Six he saw a moving shadow. The shadow moved in behind a couple of changelings and brought both hooves onto the back of their heads. They were moved back into a shadow to have their throats stomped on and moved to a room. Unfortunately the guards across the room saw their comrades disappear, and went to find them. The moment the two came upon the previous guards position they were pulled into the same shadow, they only had a few seconds before two hooves smashed their heads into the wall in front of them.

The two brothers met up on the floor and made their way to the tied up ponies. They were sleeping do to the lack of movement. Six pulled two curved knives out from under his cloak, threw one to Four and began to slice the ropes away on the princesses, while Four cut the Elements out of their bindings.

Luna started to shift in her sleep then wake up. She looked around and found Six cutting the ropes holding her and Celestia together. She continued to observe Six's movements on the ropes.

"Six? Is that you?" She asked.

'Yes, and Four is cutting the Elements loose. I need you to wake up your sister, can you do that for me?' Luna nodded in response and began to nudge her sister in an attempt to wake her up.

"Sister, wake up. Help has arrived," Luna told her sleeping sister. With one finale nudge Celestia awoke with a start.

She worriedly began to look around, in search of Chrysalis coming to finish her off. Hearing the sound of splitting ropes she looked at the source, there was Six with a strange looking knife. Cutting the ropes to set her and Luna free. Waiting patiently for the ropes to become loose she looked over the room they were in. She saw Four also using a knife to set the Elements free, but he stopped as if something was wrong. Celestia looked at Six, also seeing him stop she wondered what was wrong.

"Why did you stop?" Celestia asked. "You are almost done, why sto-"

Four silenced Celestia with a shush. "Did you hear that, Six?" Four asked while looking towards the door.

'Yes brother, I heard it.' Six replied while moving towards the door to look out into the hallway. Putting a hoof on the handle a green blast hit the door, busting it open and sending Six flying into a wall. Four dropped his knife and ran to help his brother up. Looking back at the now broken door, the two saw a changeling that was taller and had crown-like crest on its head. It looked towards them and laughed.

"Ha ha ha, are these your friends that came to help." Asked the new changeling in a deeper than normal female voice. She looked over Four and Six and laughed again, "They don't look like much. I bet they can't even face on of my children without screaming in terror!"

Six did't like being called a coward, so he did the only thing he could think of at the moment. He started running towards the changeling queen. The queen started to laugh at Six, which made him even more angry. He jumped and slid on his flank to hit the queens legs, but that never happened. The queen charged another spell and blasted Six before he could even get close to her. Six got hit in face and flew back to where he started.

"Who are you?!" Four asked her while helping up Six.

She laughed, "I am Queen Chrysalis of the changelings. I am here to take over Canterlot and then the rest of Equestria! Ha ha ha!"

Four replied with a smart-ass comment, "For being a queen you sure don't look like one," he stuck his tongue out at her.

"Enough chit-chat, more fighting," said Chrysalis as she flew at Four.

Four waited for her. She tackled Four and started to pummel him with all her strength. Six tackled her off when she wasn't paying attention and delivered a strong blow to her stomach. She coughed up a little blood and looked at Six with hatred in her eyes. She thrust her wings forward hoping to get a hit before he could react, seeing how he was just standing there she smiled. Six charged at the last moment and caught Chrysalis off guard, causing her to fall. Six reared up and brought his hooves down atop her head, but she rolled out of the way in time to see Six break up the marble floor. Chrysalis was surprised to see how strong this hooded stallion was but at the same time a little scared.

With immeasurable speeds, Six appeared in front of Chrysalis. He grabbed her by the horn and threw her into a pillar, causing it to crack. He then rammed into her and broke through the pillar, into the wall behind. Using his right hoof he punched Chrysalis in the stomach, which in return coughed up more blood onto Six's face. Delivering a powerful blow to Chrysalis's chest, Six broke five ribs and cracked her sternum, then grabbed her by the head and repeatedly smashed her head into the wall, leaving small blood stains behind. Six punched Chrysalis one last time and threw her to the side, landing next to the Elements.

Tears in her eyes, Chrysalis tried to crawl away from her opponent. She looked behind to see where he was, but she didn't see him. Focusing her attention in front to escape for a chance to cast a healing spell, Chrysalis saw Six standing in her only way to escape The door.

"Please, have mercy!" Chrysalis pleaded.

Four walked in between Chrysalis and Six, looked at Six then at Chrysalis. "Sorry bitch! All out of mercy for evil's minions. You know, maybe we can change you. Convert you. I'll strike a deal with you." Walking towards the Elements to finish cutting them loose he said, "And I won't have my brother here kill you. If you tell your troops to fall back and fake your death, we'll let you live with the permission of the princesses."

Thinking it over Chrysalis looked up and spoke, "Okay, I'll tell my troop to fall back. But first-," standing up she trust her horn into Four's chest area and fired a spell. The wound began to spit out a puddle of blood. Six ran over to Four and tore of a piece of his cloak to use as a bandage. Having Four drift into an unconscious, but alive state. The dark pony glared at Chrysalis, who saw his eyes filled with anger and hatred.

Six dashed forward and punched Chrysalis in the muzzle, breaking it. Picking her up in one hoof, Six slammed her to the ground and cracked it. Six then brought his right hoof onto her face repeatedly, having blood cover his hoof.

'Any last words?' Six asked.

Gasping for air while trying to talk Chrysalis replied, "I have a couple. I don't wanna die, so you're gonna have to!" Chrysalis shot a green fire ball at Six's face. It connected and Six's hood burned with the rest of his cloak revealing a new pony with armor that covered his body, legs, and neck, along with a strange rune-like symbol with a small moon in the middle that was on his shoulders. The armor appeared to be metal with black and dark blue as colors. From what they could see, he was midnight blue with a dark gray mane and tail, a mechanical right leg, and a black skull under the cover of a shadow on his flank. Hundreds of deep scars adorned his body, six long and deep scratches covered his face, and three scars ran diagonally across his left eye. A strange rune-like scar marked his right shoulder. A couple sharpened teeth poked out of his cheek and frightened the ponies. His eyes were mismatched, his left a pure black with a thin blue iris in the middle, and his right a mixture of colors, a purple iris with a dark blue pupil.

Chrysalis gasped in surprise, along with the other ponies.
"Oh my Celestia!" Rainbow Dash yelled in shocked surprise.

'Death will welcome you with cold embrace.' Six said as he raised his right hoof with a blade on the tip to end the end the battle. Just as he was a couple inches away from Chrysalis's face, Six heard Celestia yell in a commanding voice.

"Stop! There will not be any deaths today." Celestia looked at Four, then at Six with a concerning look.

"As for you Chrysalis, you will be sentenced to life in prison if you don't call off your drones," Celestia said as she looked into Chrysalis's eyes with a cold stare, as if a mother would if her child was hurt. Sighing she added, "Six, can you tie her up? Please?"

Dragging Chrysalis towards a pillar to tie her against it. Six then proceeded towards Four's unconscious body and repeatedly kicked it, 'Wake up sleepy head. It's over.'
