In the eyes of Equestrian society, royalty could do no wrong. Princess Celestia was, for lack of a better word, perfect. She was graceful, polite, stoic, and she was the most powerful user of magic known to her faithful subjects.

It was only natural that her one and only nephew, Prince Blueblood, was expected to follow in her hoofsteps... and he tried. He kept himself perfectly groomed, he kept his manners and emotions in check, and he donned the same blank mask that his beloved aunt wore when she wasn't behind closed doors.

For years, his life was lead on a monotonous track. After a morning full of panic and destruction, however, the winds of change finally come into his life. But, strangely enough, they come in the form of a small unicorn filly named Twilight Sparkle.
