//-------------------------------------------------------// From Pony to Dragon: Spike's Life -by Star_Draco- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Manly to get back on my feet once more, it has been hard for me to do the other stories because ponies are bit hard to do. Dragons have always been my thing and it is easier to right about them because they are Elementals so to speak. In the MLP universe, their mythology or race has yet to be fully explored and I wish to go after it in my own way without interfering with the way the show has it. It is a clopfic because we all damn know there are little mature fics of dragons (even thought this site is mostly pony based, though that doesn't stop people from talking about humans, crossover and all that crap,) I generally want to go back to my roots. My stories have always started with dragons and that is why, this is going to be a thing and while I will still work on my other two stories, this one has been on my mind since Spike's dragon quest episode. Please enjoy it if not, tell me what is wrong. Prologue: Prologue: It was soft, drizzling night at Canterlot Hospital. Few nurses were walking the hallways and ever fewer patients occupied the rooms. One room, however, was not so empty, the waiting room. Eight ponies were sitting in the room, all of them either filled with fear or sadness. Of those eight, one of them was constantly crying, her heart filled with dread and sadness. The mare cried onto her older brother’s chest and her sister-in-law had been trying to comfort her as much as possible, but it really wasn’t helping. They were all there for one reason and that was for Spike. The poor dragon had been there most of the day and had little signs of showing recovery. The doctors had been trying to do their best to help the poor little drake but dragon anatomy was limited and magic had little effect on him. Twilight had been distraught by the fact that her own little baby brother was on the bed and she was helpless to do anything about it. She had practically begged Celestia to use her powers to help him. She didn’t object and quickly went to her castle to find anything she could about dragons. Her friends also went to seek aid. They enlisted Zecora the Shaman to help them. Princess Cadance and Prince Armor had personally come from the Crystal Empire to help them. The Crystal Empire even sent several train carts worth of crystals and gems to Spike, for he was the Crystal Empire’s Hero. None of her friends really knew what had happened, but they knew it happened as soon as Spike hit his first growth spurt last summer. The dragon practically grew up in a matter of months. Though unlike his greed transformation, this one was done naturally and with the help of his friends, he was able to control himself and grew to about the height of Big Macintosh. His spines were bigger his snout longer and from muzzle to tip, was as long as two ponies standing one in front of the other. Truly Spike had changed for the better, but this current case had everypony wondering if something had gone wrong. It was almost a quarter past ten when the doctors came out. Twilight quickly awoke after falling asleep crying on her brother, and quickly shot out to the doctor. “Is he okay?! Will he be aright?! Please tell me!!” she practically yelled. The doctor, an cream colored male earth pony, did his best to calm her down. “Please calm down, Princess Twilight. We did all we could and for now, he is stabilized. Though it is hard to check with the limited info of dragons we have, can you please explain what happened to him?” Twilight quickly thought back to his growth spurt. “He just his first growth spurt last summer and we thought he would go through his greed rage again but we managed to keep him out of it. After that, he grew slowly until now and I think that is when it happened.” She paused and a more worried look appeared over her. “He began complaining of starving, going so much about how he was still hungry despite eating a lot of food. He managed to eat a chest full of gems and the entire buffet at a dinner, but he said he still felt hungry… He often gave weird looks to us and even chased one of Fluttershy’s chickens around, almost killing it when he caught it. He kept saying that it was all… missing something to him and we don’t know what it was.” “Meat is what he is missing.” Everypony turned their heads to the approaching of Princess Celestia. Despite the news, everypony still bowed their heads, all except Twilight, who had a chill running through her spine. “W-what?” she asked, almost shakily. Celestia regarded her with soft eyes. “Meat, my dear Twilight. Spike requires meat in him. That is why he is ill.” Just about everypony in the room, gave a shutter though Fluttershy gave a ‘meep’ at the word. Twilight was left a bit speechless, so Celestia continued on. “Spike is a dragon Twilight. No matter how long he lived with ponies or if he would continue to live with them till time ends, he will be a dragon and he will never stop being who he is. Dragons all have needs and since they are mainly carnivores, they need to eat meat, especially when they hit their first growth spurt. Do to his life mostly in pony society, the lack of any kind of meat, is why he hasn’t gone on an eating spree to eat any kind of food that contains meat or otherwise.” Fluttershy, the most shyest of the group, still a little bit shaky of the news, managed to speak up. “W-well, I know that it is part of live and all.” Everypony turned to her. “I have to give fish to some of my animals, especially Mr. Bear, and even though I don’t like doing it, I know that he needs to eat meat to survive.” She paused. “Maybe we can give him some of that?” she asked, a bit hopefully. Celestia gave a small, weary smile. “That would help some Fluttershy, but the fact that he has eaten nothing but Pony food and gems his whole life; it would take a long while before his body will adjust back to normal. He would have to eat…” she paused, almost having a hard time trying to say it. “A few ponies worth of meat.” Everypony paled and Twilight felt all sense of hope leave her as she said that. “Not to mention that because he has been around ponies his life, he might reject it and that could make it worse.” It was silent for a moment leaving tension in the room. The doctor left to go check on other patients. Twilight looked up at her mentor with teary eyes. “Is there nothing we can do?” she whimpered. Celestia looked down at her. Her broke her heart seeing her former student like this. Pulling her into her chest with her wing, she nuzzled Twilight. “I will do everything in my power to help Spike. I promise you.” Twilight pulled away to look at her. Celestia gave a reassuring smile. Twilight gave one back, before hugging her former mentor tightly again. A few minutes later the doctor came back. “He is weak but he is awake. You may seem him now.” Everypony nearly jumped out of their seats and quickly ran to the room. Twilight was held back by Celestia. “When he gets out, I am bringing him to the castle. There, I will help him get what he needs.” Twilight’s eyes went a bit wide. “How…” “Shhh…” she quickly silenced her. Giving her a steady look, she lowered her voice. “You may come if you wish but know this, it is not the best smell in the world and seeing it might make you change your views on him. Might.” Twilight stared unblinking at her. Celestia continued her steady gaze. “I ask that you remember that he is a dragon. He needs this and no matter what, he is still the Spike we all know and love.” Twilight sighed and nodded. “Thank you.” Celestia smiled. “Don’t worry, he’ll be fine.” With that she gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Now go along and meet him.” Nodding Twilight turned around to go before she stopped at turned back to Celestia. “Have you ever… you know… been around it?” Celestia gave a nod and a smile. “I have. Whenever the gryphon ambassadors or the dragon elders come for a visit, they expect certain… pleasantries to go with their visits in Canterlot. Most of the time, the chefs have to prepare, marinate and cook it for a number of hours before its ready… or serve it fresh.” Twilight blanches and almost felt like she was going to lose her lunch. A quick ‘thank you’ she gave before quickly entering the room. Celestia gave a smile before she let it go and sighed heavily. As much as she wanted to join them, she knew she had important matters. Lighting up her horn, she disappeared. She arrived in her studies where her she had several candles lit around her desk. She approached her work desk and set out a scroll with ink. “Please…” she whispered. “Don’t make me beg.” She said and she dipped her feather quill in ink before writing. To the King of the Dracus Empire I, Princess Celestia, have a dilemma with one of your young dragons that was left in my care. He has hit his first growth spurt but had become ill do to the lack of certain… nutrients your kind need to grow and survive. I know it has been a near year since we last spoke but I beg that you aid me with this young one. I fear that he may grow up confused or scarred at not knowing about his own kind or fear of hurting the ones he loves. I know that when we made our agreement to take care of your own to show that we were capable of trust, that we would make sure that he would live a healthy life, but it was my own mistake that I had not established proper information to him about his anatomy and what is to come. Currently, he is ill because I forgot…was fearful that the one who took him in would fear him if he took in his draconic needs. I humbly beg that you come and give what aid and knowledge you can to him and help him learn about his race so he can know what to expect when he matures more. Any rapid changes or any food that he can eat to help him, would also be a benefactor for us all. I hope to hear from you soon. Signed, Princess Solis Celestia of the Equestrian Nation Celestia sighed once more before she rolled the scroll up and tied it with her signature bow. With that she levitated the scroll a bit over the candle light, burning the edge before using her magic to send it to her contact. With a weariness that has been with her all day, she retired to her bed, knowing that in a few hours, she would have to rise the sun and begin the day anew. The next morning, Celestia had already risen the sun and was already greeted by her morning assistant. As her assistant began naming off things for her schedule, Celestia’s horn came to life in an almost redish aura before a scroll appeared, steam coming off if. Her contact had finally answered as she prayed for good news. Opening up, she saw that he had indeed responded though the lettering had her worried. Dear Princess Celestia, I have received your letter and I am indeed a bit upset you have let something like this happen. However, I can see why you wished to hold it off as long you could, fearing that they may reject him if they knew what he did naturally. I expected you to establish to your kind that we are not all mindless beasts, but you and I know that your kind can be frightful, hard headed or idiotic. Though the few tabloids and letters you sent me of him being a hero, I can say that you and the wonderful student of yours have pleased most of us.’ Don’t I know it, mentally thought Celestia. This brings me to my next point. While I enjoy hearing of young Spike’s heroics, I am troubled by the fact that he has been without meat or without general information of his kind which you could of asked for during the years, along with I knowing that you could have provided him with some with your personal hidden area where you have meat when us carnivores visit, and neglected to mention it to his caretaker. I will personally come to Canterlot and speak to the young drake about his draconic heritage… including how he is of kin to me and the dragon empire. What! No! NO! He can’t! She read on, fearfully reading it word for word. I will show him of his inheritance and that after all these years, he must return to his home. His mother and I miss him so much and it being nearly 20 years since we have given you our egg in your care, now we seek to take him back. We will come by week’s end to return our son to home and I will bring back your pony as part of our agreement. She is alive and well and I believe that now she is older, she should return to her own kin, just as the young drake should to his. My son is now our responsibility and we will take care of him properly. This is not negotiable and I expect that he be made aware of this soon. Signed Lord Talonus EmberWing of the Dragon Empire //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting Father //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting Father Spike’s Life Meeting Father It’s been three days since after Spike had entered the hospital and with some help from Fluttershy, Spike managed to get better. At first, Spike was reluctant to eat fish, mostly because of how it looked, however, when he gave the first one a bite, he almost immediately gobbled down the entire bucket of fish that she brought, much the horror of the others. Fluttershy seemed a bit used to it, having to feed her bear, Owlicious and other animals that ate meat. Soon after, Pinkie Pie had already began setting up for a ‘Glad you are better now Spike!’ party. However, it was short lived when Twilight had told them that she had to get Spike to see the Princess. “Oh, well then we can set up the party there!” Nobody argued over that. The others were just as happy with Spike getting better. He got a hit on the shoulder from Rainbow Dash, saying how they were worried about him before giving him a smile and a hoof bump. Applejack brought a ‘Get Well Soon!’ postcard from her family with Granny Smith, Applebloom and Big Mac. Rarity practically cried happily knowing that Spike was going to make it, though Spike enjoyed the heavy embrace he got from her… a lot! Pinkie tried to give a cake but Celestia’s warning made her hold it off till he had a proper diet. Though he would have tried to eat it, Gummy ended up popping out of the cake. Cadence and Shinning ended up bringing a lot more. Well, they brought a post card, but they said they had at least a few train carts worth of gems and post cards from the crystal empire, mostly all saying they wished for their heroic savior to get better. When Spike heard of the gems, he didn’t believe it at first. However, RD and AJ both brought in a chest worth of it to the hospital. The doctors yelled at everypony to get out of the room when Spike passed out. When he did managed to wake up the doctors managed to get him to stay calm before he can rush out of bed and devour all the gems. When the fish has settled his stomach, the doctors had managed to check his vitals to see that he had roughly gained some nutrition from it and will recover, however, he must continue to eat meat for a while. Cleared from the doctors, everypony walked with Spike to the Canterlot castle where Princess Celestia had been expecting him. “What for?” he questioned. “Princess Celestia is going to find a way to help you and maybe find a way for you to either keep eating just fish or maybe find some other source of substitute.” As Spike walked along with Twilight, his gaze seem to fall on the floor. “Would you see me differently if I had to eat meat?” Twilight stopped walking while the others walked on. Spike stopped beside her and looked at her. She looked down at the floor as if in thought. The look she carried, Spike knew that from the moment Celestia said what he had to do to survive and where is origins lied, it would be a difficult task for her to look at him than a predator. “I… I don’t think it will Spike.” She said with a somewhat sincere voice. “I have been around you since they day I hatched your egg. Your like a little brother to me and no matter how much you change, you won’t stop be one.” She gave a smile. “I know that you have to eat…” she paused saying the word. “But we may be able to work around it and hopefully not scare of the residents when you have to eat or go hunting or whatever.” Spike smiled but let out a sigh. “Yeah, especially with Fluttershy. I know that fish is good but something tells me I am going to have to go and get game.” He paused. “I am surprised that she hasn’t hidden from me or try to avoid me since I nearly killed her chicken.” Twilight gave a small smile. “She may fear what you have to do but she too will always be your friend. It’s a good thing you didn’t eat the chicken or she might never forgive you. Along with that, maybe her fear of dragons might have been switched back to you.” Spike nodded. “I just wish I know of a way to get rid of this… gnawing feeling in my gut. When I tasted the fish, it was like having a salty gem but with flavor I never experienced before. It almost tasted good with a cooper taste and something else, I can’t explain it.” “I wouldn’t want you to Spike. Your food is what it is to you and I ask that even if we managed to get you to at least eat food, that maybe you can keep it to yourself and away from others.” Spike nodded but inside felt crest fallen. If and when he would have to eat or ‘hunt’ or whatever, he would have to do away from his friends and away from other ponies to not cause a scare. That meant going to the Everfree to hunt and or eat there. Even if he could get meat, he would most likely also have to eat in the basement or cook it so the smell doesn’t offend anypony. Without another word, he walked on with Twilight walking next to him, heading into the castle. It was just short after noon when Celestia had managed to finish her morning duties and allowed them all to visit her. She seemed surreal with a smile on her face when other ponies where in the room but when she had asked all to leave save for Spike, Twilight and the others to stay, her face turned a bit down and her smile dropped. “I am glad that you have all come.” She greeted, though it lacked its normal warmth. Twilight looked puzzled at her former mentor. “Is there something wrong, Princess Celestia?” She did her best to keep a smile. “My faithful students and friends. I have found our solution to Spike’s… changes and have personally required aid from the dragon Empire.” Everyone looked surprise, Spike most of all. “Your bringing a dragon here? In Equestria?!” he half yelled. Everyone gave the same response. Celestia gave him a nod. “It’s alright Spike. I know you and the others have had bad encounters with dragons before be these are different. These are where your origins lie. Unlike the ones you have met in the past, they were feral and consumed by greed, these dragons are of high intelligence, enough that they have built temples, societies and established orders. They have scholars, teachers, scientists and more. You think that Twilight teaching you to be as sophisticated as a pony was a miracle.” She regarded him with a smile and a glint in her eyes. “They have taught us ponies some new tricks as well.” Spike as well as everypony as sat there in awe at how Celestia just described dragons. Fluttershy was the first to break the silence. “S-soo… not all are huge, gigantic, terrible, enormous, teeth-gnashing, sharp scale-having, horn-wearing, smoke-snoring, could-eat-a-pony-in-one-bite, mean dragons?” Celestia gave Fluttershy a look before shaking her head and smiled. “Well… they are all huge, they still have teeth and horns, many smoke for a living and they can still eat a pony… if they wanted to but… no, these ones aren’t mean.” Fluttershy still felt a bit fearful but relaxed a little that they weren’t all mean. “Wait, Origins?” Questioned Twilight. “As in... where Spike… came from?” “… Yes.” Hesitated Celestia. “Though it much more than that. For Spike, he will hear this in private but once I have already told it to him, he may choose to reveal it to you all or not.” “Well… why can’t they know of it?” asked Spike. “It’s not like something special or bad… is it?” “Nothing of the sort, however I still must trust that should you like them to know, it may be on your time.” “Why not just reveal it to us now?” Twilight question, her tone rising. “Because it is not my choice, Twilight.” Her voice a bit high and full of tension. Everyone quickly stared at her with uneven eyes and Twilight was a bit unnerved by her former mentor’s response. Spike was the only one who seemed unaffected, still had the lingering question. Though the question in mind was not of earlier, it changed into something that Spike, in all of his years under Twilight’s care and intellectual guidance, that taught him to view things at a different scale. “Who am I?” Silence filled the room. One could hear a pin drop and even then it wouldn’t break the silence. Spike let the question hang in the air for a moment before he slowly took a step to Celestia. “Where do I come from?” Celestia was about to speak but the doors at the other end busted open with two guards running in. “Princess! Dragon approaching from the east!” Celestia gave one last look as Spike before walking to the door. “Colors?” she asked. Her horn began to slowly light up. The guards looked at each other, wondering what the colors meant. “Uh… dark purple… with a green underbelly.” Celestia kept her eyes at the distant approaching dragon. He is here early and she had yet to tell them. “Tell the guards that the dragon is friendly and help keep the public from panicking. The dragon is an ally and won’t harm anypony so long as he and I can speak.” The guards remained still before quickly saluting and running off. Twilight approached her mentor and saw the look of both sadness and disappointment. “Are you sure that it’s wise to let the dragon into the city?” Celestia sighed. “I have to Twilight. It’s part of the agreement we made.” “Does that agreement have to do with me?” asked Spike, now both ticked and confused why this was happening and what Celestia was hiding. “Yes Spike it does. It has to do with him, your origins and what the means for you.” She sighed once more giving him a heartbreaking look. “Your father is coming to take you home.” Outside Canterlot, guards rushed back and forth, trying to keep from ponies from freaking out or causing mass hysteria as the dragon was approaching. The dragon was close to Canterlot city but its trajectory was towards the Canterlot Gardens where there was plenty room for him to land. The guards surrounded the area as the dragon was making a hovering decent. Its massive wings almost covered the entire garden. Each flap threaten to blow the guards away or remove the trees and wildlife from the floor. Celestia and the others arrived at the garden, waiting till the dragon finally managed to land safely. Spike was in awe as he stared at the dragon that was supposedly Spike’s father. Spike, after his growth spurt, was as tall as Celestia from horn to hoof. His father was… enormous! Roughly the size of the largest dragon he had encountered in the past. His wings alone spanned twice his body and his tail looked like a sea serpent itself. Spike half wondered if he will even come close to the dragon… that is, his father size in his lifetime. Once the dragon made its final flap and landed, it gently tucked in his wings to its body and regarded Celestia. “Sun Bringer.” He spoke. His voice stronger than male yet, could be easily understandable. (For this, I choose James Earl Johns voice!) He gave a bow to her. “Sky Lord.” She bowed her head back. The two exchanged ancient words that neither pony nor Spike understood. When they looked at each other once more, there was a small smile on the dragon’s face. “It has been years since we last truly met each other, Celestia.” “Almost 20 years, Lord Talonus. I had feared that you would hate to see me again.” The dragon gave a low chuckle, which was still loud enough to echo. “Oh, my dear Celestia. I could never hate you… not after all the fun that we had before.” Celestia blushed and the others stared confusingly at one another before looking back at her. “It was… enjoyable for the most part. But now, I believe you came here to aid young Spike?” The dragon gave a weary grin. “Business as always, ehh Sunny?” Her blushed grew and the dragon gave a wink before moving his eyes towards Spike. Spike’s eyes instantly caught his and the moment it did, Spike saw into the soul of the dragon before him. A sudden tug, almost force pulled Spike into and he could only gaze deeply within. Same color pattern and looks meant squat to Spike, if not knowing this dragon was his father. His eyes showed the moment he saw Spike’s egg and reveled in the fact that he was once again a father. Then the moment to which he made a deal to Celestia, to keep the peace between the dragons and ponies as he took one of her ponies to live with dragons and he gave his heir to Celestia to raise. However… the moment lingered back more. The history of his father showed… not all of it but he caught glimpses of his father’s past. The moment he had hatched from his egg, the thrill of a kill on his first hunt. When his first greed came into be, but was quickly quelled by his mother’s love. The memory showed when he grew and gained his wings, his first leap off a cliff and took flight for the first time. The air that surrounded his wings, the feeling of weightlessness unbound by the earth and seeing the skies much closer than possible. Not all of it was joyous however. The struggles when he fell when the first time he tried to fly. When he had caught fire to half the forest, nearly destroying his families food population and his fight to win his lovers affections against another drake. His heroic deeds when he fought over a corrupted council member in the Empire and removed him, succeeding him in everyway. Despite his mistrust in ponies, he still asked the council to leave their affairs of theirs, to not hunt ponies despite their misdeeds with previous dragon hunters and the Discordian wars. And lastly, he earned the name ‘Sky Lord’ for not only his amazing feet in beating rival dragon clans but doing so in Ariel Combat and going against impossible odds to beat them in the highest altitudes. From there, his vision came back and he rapidly blinked, trying to shake the vision from his eyes. “Wow.” Was all he managed to say. That was enough for his ‘father’ to laugh in joy. “You my son, truly never cease to amaze me!” He gave another roar of a laugh the scared the girls, mostly Fluttershy, half to death and what was left of the wildlife to run off in fear. Spike however, couldn’t help but smile a little at the display. It was as if seeing this dragon… no his father, happy, made him happy. When the dragon finished his laugh, lowered his head to me his son closer. “My dear drake, when you return home, oh how your mother would adore what you have become. Her hear would be filled with love and your sister would be in tears knowing of much alike you two really are? You both sharing my gift.” “Mother? Sister?” It wasn’t a question but not knowing if it was true enough if he had both. Celestia had more or less been like a mother to him and Twilight was already a sister to him, if not by blood, but by bond. Nodding he then turned his attention to Celestia, who now seemed a bit stoic and the moment. “Don’t worry my dear Celestia. I have not forgotten out agreement.” Turning his head, he unrevealed between his wings a large dark green saddle of sorts with a cot resting upon his back. The saddle had a large cover and from the cover, it opened to reveal a pony. Rising slowly from the saddle, the said pony looked up, expecting to see mountains over her head. What she saw was a Castle and a familiar one at that. She then blinked and looked towards Talonus. “Father… have we made it?” she asked. The dragon gave a small nod. “We have my dear; we are back to your home.” The pony blinked, her sky blue eyes looking around her before slowly rising from her cot and gazing upon her surrounding before finally her eyes caught on somepony. Her eyes gazed into the white Alicorn, just a short distance away. Her heart was suddenly beating fast and emotions of just about every caliber flashed through them. “C-Celestia?” she managed to say. Celestia gave her a warm smile and even let a tear drop from her eye. “Welcome back home, Sunset Shimmer. My faithful Student.” Author's Note No edit because I wanted to upload as quick as could with the limited time I had. The voice in my head was done by the very talented James Earl Jones. For those of you who don't know who he is, he is the voice actor behind Mufasa in Lion King, Darth Vader in Star Wars, etc. I didn't like Equestria girls so I up and changed the history. Sunset Shimmer didn't want to understand the studies of friendship so she choose to try a different lesson. In the next chapter, we will see how this 'exchange" came to be. In the comics, SS was older than Twi when she left Celestia, so I am putting her age roughly 13 or 14 while twilight was roughly 6 or 8 when she became her student.... give or take(Judging by the Cutie Mark Chronicles) So SS has been with the dragons for roughly 20 years. EG movie messed it up because they were both the same age in the movie, so I changed it. Lastly, I have a name for what happened between Spike and his father, though it will be in the next chapter, it was inspired by the Eragon Inheritence books and the movie where Eragon and Saphire do first flight. That is all! //-------------------------------------------------------// Reunions and History //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note No edit, just needed to submit it in by today or tonight or whatever. All art belongs to their respected owners, I have no hand in drawing none of them, just using them as references. Anyways, if anything else, I will say that I got a pm that somewhat gave me a second thought as to what to do with shippings and all that... currently its a one of between spike and other before his focus is back to dragons. Again, any dragon mythology here is of my own making. Also clearly stated in the chapter before, Equestria girls never exsists, I moved around it and changed the outlook. Yes characters from there might be included or mentioned. FInally... THIS IS A SPIKE STORY!!!! If there is off screen talk and mentioned into the story, it dosent matter because this is focusing on SPike. Leave it be. Reunions and History Spike’s Life Reunions and Histories Spike was utterly amazed at his father now. Not only was he a kind and gentle drake, much like himself, but he had a history with Celestia that showed that they had no malice to one another. Though it did beg the question what had his father and Celestia did in the past? However, those thoughts didn’t linger for long, for they slowly looked towards the beautiful mare that came down from his father’s back. She truly was stunning and it kind of reminded of how Celestia would like with a fiery mane… and was the size of a normal mare. Red and yellow mane with tail grazed her body, just like fire. With the gentle wind that just blew, it almost looked like fire as well. Her light tan coat seemed to bring out more of her fiery mane and as well as her Cutie Mark, which was of a yellow and red sun. Thought it did remind him of the Yin-Yang symbol from his old comic books. Last was her beautiful sky blue eyes, which he got almost lost in, just like he had with his father. If it weren’t for the fact that he had managed to get over his obsession over Rarity years ago, as well as her sister, he might have never managed to keep his eyes off her. However, that quick little look into her was all that it took for his father to see the sudden affection he had for his ‘daughter’. “Sunset Shimmer, my faithful student. You have returned.” Celestia said with a pleasing smile. Everyone gave a huge, “HUH?” at Celestia’s words. Even Twilight was a bit shocked at Celestia’s words. It was obvious that Celestia had students before her, that was something she had been told. However, she wasn’t aware that this mare, this one pony, who had just come from the dragon lands and was the adopted ‘daughter’ of said ‘Lord of the Dragon Empire’, was a student of Celestia. Talonus used his wing to make a makeshift walkway for the mare to cautiously and slowly come down from him. Her eyes manly focused on Celestia, watching her former mentor as she gazed back, not with an angered or sad expression, but one of general happiness and almost like she had finally had gotten back her long lost daughter. Then her focus was that of the purple Alicorn next to her. To her, that was a moment of pure fear or sadness that overcame her, that the Alicorn here, was the newest edition to Equestria and that she had been replaced. Many conflicting emotions passed through Sunset. Fear, Anger, pain, sadness, jealousy and greed over passed her, but in the end, only sadness had taken her the most. “Y-you… you replaced me?” It came out almost like a whimper and tears formed from her eyes. https://camo.derpicdn.net/422f55bf242c2dd0604402a51b730de0b57e5bb8?url=https%3A%2F%2Fs-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com%2F736x%2Fa4%2Fd9%2F3f%2Fa4d93f1ab0161ffe0500d915db4a75ad.jpg Instantly, Celestia teleported from her spot and appeared in front of Sunset Shimmer. She didn’t flinch, but her head inclined to the sudden figure over her. Expecting her to yell or say something far worse, she closed her eyes and let her head fall. She whimpered more and would have cried but suddenly, she was wrapped, almost tightly and she felt Celestia bring her head to her. “Oh Sunset, my dear student. I could never replace you!” She wrapped her hoof around her, bringing her closer and Sunset hugged tightly. She finally broke down and let loose, as Celestia whispered to her. “You are the most, precious thing to me and you were… no you are like my daughter. I could never, ever replace you. You are special to me and never forget it. Never forget it, my little Shimmy.” Memories of when Sunset was a foal and she became her student came flooding back, back to when she was young and she called her ‘Shimmy’ the first time and the feeling of being Celestia’s daughter, did she cry out wholly and held her mother tighter. “I missed you so much, mom!” Celestia let loose her own tears and she once more held her daughter for the first time. The scene did cause an emotional wave for the others. The girls seemed all teary at the reunion, even Twilight, who was once shocked by Sunset’s arrival smiled a few tears at Celestia reuniting with a former student. Spike had watched the scene but was at a different emotional level. His eyes went from Sunset to Talonus, who had watched the mare who is his ‘adopted’ daughter reunited with her former teacher and ‘mother’. His eyes then went to Spike, who had yet to speak a word to him. He saw that his son was still confused and a little conflicted at the events in which have unfolded now. “You have many questions, my son?” Spike looked at his father’s gaze, managing a nod from him. His father smiled and lowered his head to meet him. Spike almost stood back as his father’s head was a little bit bigger than him. His draconic, dark green eyes met his and this time he wasn’t pulled in like before. Was it something that he controlled or was it a magical vision that he had before? “Your question’s will be answered soon son.” He said gently. It was odd hearing a dragon’s voice, who was so large, sound gentle. It was not overpowering or loud or even have a usual edge or roughness that most other dragons that Spike had encountered before. The wind from his father’s voice was as gentle as a warm, summer breeze. His form was giant but it also wasn’t as menacing as he was the moment he had arrived. “They’ll be answered…” He motioned his to Celestia and Sunset, still locked in embrace. “Once the pleasantries and… reunions are over.” Celestia had managed to remove the entire wall of the gala hall, with Twilight’s help, to let in the giant drake. Practically, he filled it half way in and would have room to lay out completely flat with room to spare. Something Celestia’ casually mentioned as ‘Room for guests of all kinds’. Spike still had his eyes set on the size of his father, towering over everypony. His early memories of how Celestia raised and the towering form she was compared to other ponies, he felt like an ant compared to her. But now in the case of his father, Spike was as tall as Celestia but even then he still felt small compared to him. Spike also started to see the resemblance of his father and himself. Other than the shaper than his own spikes from chest and back, the overly large wings, the extend on his head fins, huge serpent like tail longer snout and huge quadruped form, Spike pretty much saw himself staring at a 50 hoof mirror. If also a bit menacing mirror… https://camo.derpicdn.net/b13b4bd627eb18c9a6a7cf6fa04b54efe032dddc?url=http%3A%2F%2Ffc03.deviantart.net%2Ffs71%2Fi%2F2012%2F322%2Fe%2F6%2Fadult_spike_by_equestria_pony-d5lf4kx.jpg Though it did beg the question as to why when he had been forced changed from baby to adult in a matter of seconds when Twilight forced it through her magical outburst when she was at Celestia’s school or his greed transformation, that when the other’s described it, he had the lack of wings, spikes or otherwise, and yet, his father carried that? Was it different stages or different ways that dragons were raised that could… change their physical appearances? Greed? Magic? All of that brought many more questions with the few hundred others that filled his mind that were begging to be answered. With the reunions over with and everypony already settled, Celestia had arranged a feast to be set up. Do to Talonus’s early arrival, he had to wait at least a while before his ‘special’ dinner be cooked. In which everypony would have time to eat and leave before that could happen. However, thanks to Spike’s ‘Get well’ gifts from the Crystal Empire, he had brought up a chest’s worth of gems for his father to munch on while his food was being prepared. Much to the amusement of Spike and Celestia, his father’s eyes lit up like a foal on Hearts Warming Eve, and opened the chest before devouring them all. He let them fall all down like eating a packet full of rainbow sprinkles, onto his tongue before taking savory bites, swallowing them and giving a small moan. “Oh gods above.” He said almost heavenly. “I have almost forgot what it was like to eat published and properly prepped gems. Having to find them and clean them before eating them was always a hassle.” Spike gave a smile, seeing his father happy. His father quickly looked at his son. “Forgive me son… I uh… did you wish for some?” His father already felt crest fallen and his chest crest had fallen…? “Oh, uh no worries…” He couldn’t bring to say it. “I uh… Cadance and Shinning Armor had brought several carts worth of gems from the Crystal Empire.” “Oh?” He turned his head, though his tongue licked his lips. “Why would they do that?” “When I was ill… the Empire sent me ‘get well’ gifts after I got ill.” He paused. “I uh… save the Empire… Twice.” He was unsure of how his father would react to it. “Ah yes. Celestia did send me letter of your rather… should we say dangerous but brave exploits over the years?” Celestia who was busy eating her salad, looked up at the dragon, almost as if caught with her hoof in a cookie jar. Her eyes tried to read the dragon but he remained silent and with small grin on his mouth that she couldn’t interpret. Her eyes quickly darted to Twilight before back at him. Bad move. “So, Princess Twilight Sparkle. You are my son’s care taker for his whole life?” Twilight’s ear twitched at the sound of his voice and judging by how it sounded, she seemed almost fearful as she gazed up at the dragon. With a mouth full of salad, she managed a nod. “Mhmmm!” Talonus gave a nod. “And tell me Princess Twilight. What have you taught my son for his whole life… besides getting into danger and shall we say… risky situations?” Twilight swallowed her salad and almost chocked because she didn’t finish chewing, ending up coughing a fit. Thankfully, Spike saw how she was now looking fearful and quickly spoke up. “Twilight didn’t get me into danger… most of the time.” His father turned his head back to his son. His gaze meant more to him than it did to Twilight’s but Spike felt still relatively save from his father. “I… I choose to save the Crystal Empire… even though Twilight could have done it. However, she was trapped and I was the only one who could do it. I also managed to burn a huge fall rock of ice from hurting anypony… I also choose to do that. She would not have known any of that would have happened and if she did,” he turned his head to her. “I am pretty sure she wouldn’t have allowed me to do it. She would… protect me from all the bad things.” Twilight gave a smile and she felt proud of Spike. Talonus felt fine with the answer and settled back. This caused for Sunset, who had yet to speak since her arrival, speak to Spike. “So… Spike. You are the… hero of the Crystal Empire?” She gave a small smile. “They worship you now or something?” Her cheeks held a faint blush but it was invisible to everyone except Spike, who did his best to speak, despite her angelic voice and her stunning features. “Yeah… I guess they do. They even build a statue of me.” Susnset’s ears picked up. “Really! That is amazing! I bet you have a ton of fans and ponies chasing you and all.” Spike gave a cheeky grin. “Well I do but it’s not like I go in there and expect a parade or something. I did what I had to do. I did it to not only save the Empire but to help out friends and do what any of them would have done if they were in my situations.” “Nothing wrong with being a hero,” commented Celestia. “Each of you have saved lives on multiple occasions, whether by yourselves or with each other. Some feats many go through out their whole live, not achieved by others.” Her eyes focused on Talonus. “Though some might take longer than others.” The dragon gave a hearty growl. “And is that supposed to incline something, dear Princess?” he said with a grin. “No nothing!” she said innocently, though the smile was there on her lips. Just about everypony and dragon, was confused by the play of words and left confused, though it seemed that Sunset Shimmer is the only one who got it and was left drinking from her cup, hiding her blush. With the feast done, at least for everypony else, Talonus focused his attention on Spike. “With the meal done, I do believe my son and all of you have questions pertaining to why he was raised by ponies and Sunset by dragons?” All nodded. Twilight the first to respond. “Also, why this is the first that I or anypony has ever heard of being taken and raised by dragons.” Talonus eyes focused on Celestia. “Celestia?” Celestia cleared her throat. “Well to clear things out… this happened before I took in Twilight as my students some more than 20 years ago. I had brought Sunset in when she had a magical outburst from her orphanage. Yes, Sunset was an Orphan.” Sunset lowered her head, almost feeling ashamed of it. “But it was because of her… gift that I managed to find my first student to take in for the last century. More importantly, her pyrokinesis and that she was the strongest unicorn at the time. Just like Twilight’s magical outburst, I was there to help her out and conquer her magic.” “Pyro-what-now?” asked Rainbow Dash. “I can control fire.” Sunset said simply. “More so then others.” “But couldn’t anypony err unicorn control da fire?” Commented Applejack. “Twi managed to start da fire with her horn.” “It’s one thing to start a fire, Applejack.” Spoke Twilight. “It’s another thing to control it completely. Sunset has an amazing gift that is harder to control. Elements are difficult to control, much less create them nor create destruction.” She turned her head to Sunset who looked really crestfallen. “Uh, no offense.” “None taken.” She mumbled before looking back up to them. “At first, I had no real control. I nearly burnt down the orphanage several times. The other’s called me ‘Firestarter’ or ‘Pyro-maniac’…” Celestia laid her wing on Sunset. “It’s in the past and it is not your fault. “ Sunset nodded. Celestia turned her gaze back to the others. “At the same time, the dragon council was having a conflict with their feral counterparts.” “We had been trying to keep the ferals from going after ponies,” spoke Talonus. “Despite our… mutual alliances at the time, dragons and ponies stayed away from each other. However, with the dragon migration happening at the time, many had tried to capture or eat ponies when passing over towns.” “In retaliation,” continued Celestia. “Dragon slayers rose up and began attacking them.” Shinning Armor cleared his throat and spoke “None of which were Celestial Guards or were under Celestia’s order.” “So… freelance, dragon slayers?” asked Spike. Celestia nodded. “They hated knowing that had to go in hiding or had to move away from the area whenever the migrations passed over. Many had even began contracting or setting up dragon traps to hunt down or kills them.” Spike visibly shuttered. “How many were successful?” Celestia turned her head to Talonus and he shook his head. “Enough to nearly create a war.” He sighed. “Despite the ferals and the Council having different views and… intellect… we still had a responsibility to watch our own. “With war closing in, many of the council members were seeking either revenge or payment from the attacks. However, it was because of me and a few others, that we agreed a trade of sorts… to help ease our fight and hatred for one another.” “Trade a pony for a dragon eggs?” asked Twilight, a bit apprehensive at the thought. Celestia turned to Sunset. She really didn’t want to speak of what had happened but felt that now that they were speaking of Spike’s and her past, she felt she had no other choice. “At first… Celestia told me she had a destiny planned out for me. That I was destined to become something great… something wonderful. She had told me that if I had practiced enough with my studies, that I would be closer to my destiny.” “When she showed me a… Magic Mirror, I saw that I was destined to be an Alicorn Princess. But in order to do that, I had to learn the Magic of friendship.” Twilight shifted in her seat and her eyes seem to show concentration and a hint of anger towards Celestia. She had planned for Sunset to be an alicorn. “When I thought it was a dumb idea, she only encouraged I tried it. I didn’t want to and felt… at the time it was a waste. Not to mention that nothing in the mirror showed me I would be a Princess of ‘Friendship’ or that I didn’t need any. I felt anger knowing that Celestia wouldn’t show me any more magic or teach me more if I didn’t first try to gain friends. “I thought she was holding me back, that she was keeping me from my destiny and that… the only way to do it was through her way. I didn’t want to listen and I was stupid enough to think that I could force my way into Alicorn by stealing a few forbidden books or find some other method. I would have ran into the magic mirror but… when I looked into it… I didn’t see me.” Tears slipped from her eyes. “I saw a demon, an evil… dark version of me, that didn’t look nothing like me. If I had run in to the mirror or would have found a way into Alicornhood, that I would end up as this evil entity. I didn’t know what to do at that point.”She hung her head. “I felt like I had failed, my own teacher… my mother, when I refused to listen to her.” Twilight had also seen the mirror she spoke of. She had also seen some other version of her if she had stepped through. The mirror was known to show past, present or future. Whatever Twilight saw, it wasn’t either. “What does this have to do with her getting traded by the dragons?” asked Dash. “Rainbow Dash!” Spoke out Rarity, a bit harshly. “Can’t you see this is a sensitive subject for Sunset Shimmer?” she pointed. Dash grumbled something and looked towards the crying Sunset, who had her head buried into Celestia’s breast. Celestia looked towards them. “It was at this time that Talonus contacted me for a solution for the conflict that was between the dragons and ponies. His kind wanted a trade, something that can show that we could coexist with one another. “I too had felt like I failed Sunset and that she had deserved more that what I could offer her. With Talonus seeking to provide aid for both of our kind, I found a solution to both Sunset’s problem and his.” She paused as she pushed Sunset away and looked down at her. “Something I prayed that wouldn’t end up regretting.” “I offered to teach her to control and enhance her pyro-kinetic abilities.” Continued Talonus. He focused his eyes to Sunset who gave a small smile to him. “She may not be an Alicorn for it but she would become the most powerful Pyromancer known.” “At first I didn’t want it.” Spoke Sunset, clearing her eyes and moving away from Sunset. “I was scared beyond death, thinking that… Celestia was going to abandon me or feed me to the dragons for failing her.” A twinge crossed Twilight as she remembered feeling the same way before. Always thinking that Celestia would no longer before her student or send her back to Magic Kindergarten… though being fed to a dragon sounded worse. “But she reassured me that I didn’t have to go and find some other pony to volunteer, I knew that I was being selfish and… felt like I needed to atone for my actions. I would willingly join the dragon empire and in exchange for my safety, the dragons would give one of the eggs to the Princess to raise and nurture it.” “So why didn’t you?” asked Fluttershy. “I mean, not that your bad or anything but why use the egg for the entrance exam?” Celestia thought for a moment. “At first I would have, but then, I felt that I would be neglecting the hatchling if I were to try to hatch him and not take care him, with my duties constantly in the way. I was about to give it to one of my most trusted caretakers but Talonus had told me that because of Spike’s mother, the egg might need to be hatched by magic.” Spike would have commented but remained quiet. If he wanted to hear about his mother, he would hear it from Talonus… err his father. “So… you put it in the entrance exam and… hoped that one unicorn would be able to open it up with magic?” Questioned Twilight. Celestia nodded. “And with so many before me had failed, what would have happened if I failed?” Celestia opened her mouth to speak but couldn’t. It was no secret… well not anymore that Twilight’s destiny was to be the Element of Magic and that she would be destined to ascend. One thing that was failed to be mentioned was that if she couldn’t crack open Spike’s egg, who would? “Something I believe that should be discussed between you and her.” Commented Talonus. Celestia shot him a look and he returned it back, though a bit more stern. “Should you not be able to open my son’s egg, Celestia would have continued on with more and more students until it was not till a long while before any who tried would give up before they started. She would have opened it up for herself and raised it. That would cause conflict with her and her duties and either have them turn on her or cause a distrust between her and her ponies.” His eyes turned to Twilight. “That is why… if by fate or gods, that you didn’t fail, Princess Twilight. You had truly a blessing that millions of others will never receive.” His eyes pierced hers. “Your name is sung through the dragons as a the unnamed hero that many don’t wish to acknowledge. Your destiny was planned or even mentioned amongst us. “The defeat of the Nightmare to plunge night eternal, to stop the Madness of a Draconequus Lord globally, to imprisoning a god of evil, even when all your magic gone; no feats have been accomplished since the rise of the Sisters. “The Princess of Friendship, bringer of Harmony and Light, the Star Guider, and the savior of the world… All of this planned before your birth.” Nopony spoke and no one really had to, because they were either shocked or to amazed by the dragon’s words. “That being said, your destiny still continues on and your gifts will only grow stronger with now the return of Sunset Shimmer. You may not know it yet but she had also been mentioned in the stars.” Sunset Shimmer smiled a bit of that. She had always thought that her destiny had been changed or screwed the moment she failed Celestia, but when her father told her that she still had to play her part in Equestria’s destiny, she had kept her hopes up. “With her here now, she can continue with that Destiny and Spike can come home to fulfill his destiny by becoming a dragon Lord.” http://www.deviantart.com/art/Virtue-Spike-1-279485856 (Spike's looks though he is bipedal in story but can work with four if needed) //-------------------------------------------------------// Peek of Intrest //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Sorry no edit but wanted to submit this one in before I get to busy the next couple of days, so considered a gift or a piece of crap, I don't care, just read or enjoy. Chapters with edit will come out soon! Peek of Intrest Spike’s Life Peek of Interest The sounds of anger and shouting quickly filled the large room as Twilight and friends argued of Spike being forced to go back home. Celestia was doing her best to try and calm everypony down but it fell on deaf ears. Spike was beyond upset with the news yet he couldn’t voice his disapproval. Sunset was the only one who wasn’t speaking yet she felt more out of the crowd than the others, opting to lower herself into the chair more. “ENOUGH!!!!” Talonus roared. The roared was enough to shake the foundation and cause every pony’s ears to ring. Spike didn’t however, but he did flinch at the sudden boom of his father’s voice. Everypony recovered and looked towards Talonus. “I am aware that this news is troubling… especially by how well you care for my son, but this is a decision I must make. Not only for my sake but for his.” His voiced lowered a bit more. “My son could have stayed ill and the only way he could have gotten better is if he went back with me and properly learned of his draconic heritage.” “But Spike is our friend and you can’t just take him!” Spoke out Rainbow Dash. “Yeah!” continued Pinkie. “At least, not without a “Going away party!” Everypony turned to her. “What?” Celestia shook her head. “Talonus… as much as I want to honor our agreement, Spike has a life here and he has grown to live with us as a family. We care for him deeply.” “I am aware of this, Celestia.” He commented lightly. “But he must return home, especially since his mother has yet to see him since the day she laid his egg. We yearned for his presence for 20 years and we have come to love Sunset as our own as you have with Spike, but he needs to return soon.” “Why soon?” asked Twilight, her voice filled with fear and sadness. “Why can you not let Spike live with us and visit you when he wants?” Talonus was about to speak but Spike spoke for the first time since this had started. “Why can’t I choose what I want to do with my life?” Everyone became quiet. Spike’s focus was on everypony and his father. “Why can’t I say if I choose to stay or go? Why are you all talking about me, as if I wasn’t here?” “Spike…” started Twilight. “No Twi.” He said shaking his head. “I want to say something now. You all have been speaking for me. You have been speaking over me since I was hatched and only once in a while was I able to actually do something of my own will that any of you allowed.” He sighed deeply. “My whole life, after my first trip to the dragon’s colony, I have wondered what kind of dragon I was going to be. I thought that I could maybe discover that myself and I somewhat had. Whether I would be forever a dragon stuck with ponies or I will someday outgrow everypony and have to leave. “I knew that even if you guys raised me right, I would never be part, truly be a part of Equestrian society.” He looked to all of his friends now. “I would be the outcast at social events.” Pinkie had thrown parties for him before but Spike had limited friends and even few actually didn’t think him the odd of the bunch. Just a few. “I wouldn’t be able to fulfill my dragon code if I wasn’t up to the task because of my stature.” Applejack and Rainbow Dash looked at each other at the mention of it. “If I were to grow huge and fierce looking, would all of you still look at me the same, especially that I would have to go hunting for animals to eat?” Fluttershy hid herself in her mane, not knowing whether to speak about it or not. “What would happen if I became rouge again, would you all have to fight me and put me down or I would be banished from Equestria.” Celestia lowered her. “Never even getting a chance to know what true love is, being that a pony and dragon can’t love one another, let alone be together.” Rarity looked away to try and hold back tears “Feeling fear that I would out live my friends, watch them as they pass before me or I would have to find someway to coupe without them.” His eyes focused on Twilight. “Even if it meant those moments lasted for a single day.” His focused turned back to his father. “I could care for less of any of that.” Everyone quickly shot their gazes at him, stunned by his words. “I love my friends, and they love me. I know I could never do any of those things but it doesn’t mean I won’t stop being who I am.” “I am still Twilight’s number one assistant. I will stay as Pinkie’s prank student. I will honor my own code if I have to owe my life to Applejack. I would work with Rainbow Dash as her stunt coordinator. Being Fluttershy’s assistant animal care take is still a nice job to have. Heck, I don’t even mind if I am Rarity’s pin cushion still. Celestia will always be my mother. And my other friends may or may not leave but as long as they remember me for who I am, than that is all that matters. Because that is all that matters, me being Spike the pony dragon.” Spike in usual moments like this imagined a big huge crowd cheering for his speech and chanting his name, with inspirational music in the background… Instead, it was just stunned silence and maybe a bit of award wording. However the message got through. “They have taught you well my son.” His father spoke an in impressed tone. “You truly are a family here with them?” Spike gave a firm nod. His father sighed loudly and felt a little heartbroken. “Then I am at an impasse, my son. I don’t want to leave here without you but I do not wish to tear you away from you friends.” Spike could feel his father’s disappointment. Unlike his friends or Twilight’s, he could literally feel some kind of wave emitting from his father and that carried his emotions straight to him, on an almost personal level. This was the first time he had met his father and now he was disappointing him, hurting him more than anything. He really didn’t want to do that but at the same time, he didn’t want to leave his friends. A small idea formed in his head, something that maybe able to work for them both. “What if I came and lived with you… for a little while?” he asked. His father focused his dark green slit eyes on him. “A little while?” Spike nodded. “I… can’t say that I don’t wish to learn more about being a dragon and maybe… seeing my mother, but I don’t wish to loose my friends here. As I said before, they are my friends and I am a dragon. I know I don’t know a lot about our kind but, I know that we live really long lives and… I know I will outlive them. That is why I want to spend as much time as I can.” He paused, thinking of his next words. “What if… what if I came with you and lived with you for an entire year. A year where I would learn everything I can about being a dragon. I can learn how to eat properly, I could see my mother and maybe see a side of dragons I haven’t seen before. And after that I can return to live here.” His father hesitated with his next words. “Son, you must understand that… despite your love for your… family, we need you to return home. Not just for your sake but for your blood born family. Your mother needs you so and it would break her heart if you were to leave her again.” “Then make is a monthly ordeal, Talonus.” Commented Celestia. “Let him live with you for the year and then after that, he may return home, spend time with his family here and then the month after, he returns to you.” Talnous thought and Spike looked hopeful, as did the rest of them. Even Sunset Shimmer hoped the best for Spike. “That would be… acceptable.” He gave a smile as his son sighed in relieve before smiling. “Once again, your words of wisdom provided a peaceful solution to our conflict, Princess Celestia.” Celestia gave a cheeky smile. “It is my honor to find the best for both worlds to come to a happy conclusion.” “Oh, I am aware of that!” he responded before giving a hearty chuckle. The message was clear and everypony except Spike and Sunset were blindsided by the inside joke. Sunset was blushing, despite her bright coat and Spike, for him being the second time he had heard of that kind of response, that he knew something happened between the two. “So it is agreed that my son shall come with us, at least, for a single year to learn about his ways and begin to grow accustomed to his draconic heritage.” He paused, sniffing the air and a grin grew. “Starting with properly receiving the right nutrients.” Hearing that, everyone turned to a pony, whom they recognized as the head chef of the kitchen, who approached the dragon without a second thought and bowed “Your meal is prepared, Master Talonus.” “Excellent Head Chef! You may bring it when ready.” Celestia quickly cleared her throat. “To those who don’t wish to stay or see the display of… said meal, I suggest you take a break… roughly half an hour… or more.” Just about everypony shot out of their seats and quickly headed towards the door, almost disappearing before the door closed. Only Spike, Sunset and Celestia remained. Twilight quickly reappeared in a flash next to Sunset. “Sunset! Why are you here? Don’t you know what they are serving?” Twilight asked a bit hysterical. Sunset gave a nod and gave a sad smile. “I’ve seen it before Twilight. Both when its cooked… and when it is raw. Don’t forget, my father is a dragon and I lived with them for 20 years.” She then continued her sad smile. “I grew accustomed to it and have come to… enjoy the taste.” Twilight’s eye twitched and before she commented, the chef and several servers came out with large dishes with silver domes on it. Few were out in the open and sizzling. She quickly teleported out. Sunset sighed. Celestia saw the sadness on her face. “Worry not, Sunset, they are not used to the concept of meat eating nor what you have been through.” “It’s not what I have been through mo… Princess Celestia.” She answered solemnly. “It’s just knowing that I might not get any friends because of who I am.” Celestia gave a smile at the near mention of ‘mom’. ‘Soon’ she thought. The chefs brought several more trolleys including a table sized dish to Talonus. The others would be shared between Spike, himself and if feeling in the mood, Sunset and Celestia. Spike looked at the silver tray domes, not sure what to really expect before turning to Sunset and Celestia. “Can ponies even eat meat?” he asked. Celestia gave a small nod. “Ponies can eat meat, plain or not. It will not cause us illness, but neither will we gain any nutritional value.” “For princess Celestia,” Began the chef. “A think piece of Sirloin steak cooked well done.” He then motioned for Sunset’s dish. “A single slice of T-Bone Steak, cooked medium rare with chicken breasts on the side.” He motioned for Spike’s dish. “A thick, four-pound charred boar slice with heavy spices, a 32 oz of Kobe Beef cooked rare and a Whole Bluefin Tuna, cooked to a crisped over Everfree wood.” Then four servers pulled a large, overwhelmingly dish, what looked like a whole cow was on there and a few sheep surrounding it. “One bovine, burned in 700 degree heat over 30 minutes with tender and rare middle. Four mutton, completely shaved and heated in 200 degrees with innards filled Rainbow Peppers.” Celestia nodded. “Thank you very kindly. You may all leave now and take an hour break.” The chef and servers bowed before leaving. Celestia then continued her conversation from earlier. “What meat is to us is what grass is to you, Spike. Our stomachs can digest, it can process it and safely pass through, but again, no nutrients, no chemicals, no fat, some protein, nothing more.” Opening up her tray, she found the thick steak about the size of her hoof, with a brownish color and smell that was familiar but nearly unmentionable. Using her magic to grab the fork and knife, she slowly cut into the meat, letting the juices slip and cascade onto the plate, showing a bit of pink in the meat. Her eyes took in the sight and her mouth watered as she drew it in to her lips before taking it into her mouth. This was scary for Spike and Sunset but hearing Celestia moan, it was nothing they have heard before. She chewed a few times before smiling and looking at them. “At times, it can be… an acquired taste!” A loud smacking sound was heard around the room as Talnous had chewed his food loudly. Despite the dragon having a mouth almost as large as Spike, he took his time savoring and chewing on the food, something never seen by a dragon. “You must have to pay the chefs a lot of bits to even think about cooking another living animal.” Commented Spike. Celestia nodded. “You have no idea. Roughly, it took me almost 6 months to find chefs who even wanted to be near a kitchen that would serve meat a near millennium ago. When I offered them a spell that would let them focus on cooking on the meat and prepping it right, it still wasn’t enough.” She took another cut from her steak and stuck it in her mouth. She chewed a few times before swallowing. “Each server and chef that has to serve or cook meat, recieves a daily salary of 50, 000 to 100,000 bits, depending on what they are cooking.” Both Sunset’s and Spike’s eyes widen. “How can you even do that?” Spike almost exclaimed. “I mean, that’s more than the mayor or other royals make in a year!” “Trust me, dear Spike.” Celestia said confidently. “It may be a lot but it only last a few days. Not to mention that the spell I place, which alters their sense of smells and eyes, it keeps them calm and not throw up or go crazy with knowing their serving of a once living animals. Besides, you think that was expensive? Most of the jewels I sent you or fed you were worth more than that. That’s expensive!” With that, Celestia continued to eat her meat like if she were eating normal pony food. Sunset removed her silver dish and began to slowly eat her meal, a thin strip meat with chicken breasts to the sides. Spike looked down at the silver dome and slowly uncovered it. A fume of steam and unimaginable scents blew into his face and his eyes watered. Looking down, he felt his heart race and his eyes grew wide. He honestly didn’t know what to choose. However, he didn’t want to look like an animal. But looking at his dad, he saw that maybe it wouldn’t be bad to indulge. Still it would be the first time he would be enjoying meat. Using his claw, he sliced a palm sized piece from the Kobe beef before bringing said peace to the mouth. It smelled appetizing and his mouth watered and seeing it so close. Yet, with living with pony society, would his views on them or any other animal change? “Spike?” spoke Celestia, finishing the last of her steak, using a napkin to wipe the leftovers from her mouth. “Yes?” “I have a private farm full of them. I know you have lived with us your whole life but for today, don’t think about it, don’t fear you friends and never forget who you are. Now, stop thinking, stop worrying and open your mouth and begin eating!” He stared at her before looking back at the piece. He opened his maw, placed the piece of meat into his mouth and closed. His eyes blew wide, his world disappeared from around him and his mouth drooled like a waterfall. Soon, his vision was clouded with colors unimaginable to his spectrum, his taste buds exploded with flavor and the rest of his senses focused on the single point of his tongue, taking in the meat. In less than a second, he went from the polite and gentle drake everyone loved, to the ravenous, meat eating dragon he was born. He tore into the rest of the steak, taking large chunks before that was completely consumed in a matter of seconds. He moaned at each bite, making sounds that he never knew were possible. When he moved to the boar, he growled or moaned, it was hard to tell with a dragon but either way, it was loud. He ripped a large chunk from it, some blood squirted from the boar across the table; any that still leaked ran down his scales in a redish river. Lastly, the Blue Tail was almost savored, he had already tried fish before but this was the king of the sea when it came to it. The scales may have been removed but the roughness still lied there. His mouth easily bit through the soft bones, crunching sounds followed suite before the savoring fish fell into his gullet. From head to tail, the fish was torn in pieces or was swallowed whole. It took roughly a minutes before Spike was empty and the satisfaction of the meal hit him. He sat there, panting as if he had ran a marathon but had finish his food like a savage beast. He felt… not wired but like as if something had been replenished in his body. The meat gave him something he never had before; like some hidden away trait or personality he never experienced before. Still, his maw carried a few bits of blood and bits of food left over from his meal. A clear of a throat was heard and he quickly stood up as he realized what he had done. He turned to Celestia, expecting a glare or shocked face, but instead he found her smiling. Not the awkward kind of smile, but a generic and satisfied smile. Sunset looked embarrassed but at the same time carried a sense of awe at him, like if seeing him like that was an amazing feat. His father was all too happy seeing his son feast like a dragon. “So, did you enjoy your meal, Spike?” //-------------------------------------------------------// A life worth knowing //-------------------------------------------------------// A life worth knowing Spike’s Life A Life Worth Knowing With lunch already over, Celestia had asked Talonus to give Spike a few days to say his ‘farewells’ to his friends. That meant a day here in Canterlot and the next in Ponyville, where it was home most of his life. But for now, he was to get a few lessons from his father. Celestia meanwhile took Sunset to her former quarters. The mare practically pranced when she heard Celestia had practically kept her room the way it was the day she left. Spike meanwhile had left with his father outside. The guards left them all alone, except the few to keep citizens away or aware of their presence. The day had turned to afternoon with Spike’s friends still out enjoying Canterlot, which left him alone with his father. The concept was both odd and foreign to him. Celestia had raised him since birth while Twilight taught him everything to know. He never really had a father on his own; Twilight’s father was more or less like an uncle. Shinning treated him like a best friend or as close to a brother as possible. What made this particular principle odd was that he hadn’t really considered what it might mean to him if he were to know of his father. Ever since he knew that he was a dragon and that they were ponies, they were on two different worlds. Celestia told him that one day, he would want to find out who he was. How he accomplishes this would be up to him. Now his father stood before him, standing 15 times larger than him and was almost intimidating. But, the gentle smile and the amazing stature his father carried, it was almost like staring into the eyes of a titan or deity. His father and him where back at the gardens with the clearing made for his size. His father managed to lay on all fours and tuck his wings in. Even then, his stature remained huge but his body spoke peace. Spike sat in front of him on a stone garden bench. He once again met his father’s eyes. “Try not to gaze to deeply son.” Talonus spoke out first. His voice was once again gentle as a summer breeze. “Draco’s Eye really is for when you’re trying to get inside of somedrakes head.” “Draco’s eye?” questioned Spike. “Hmmm. When your eyes first caught mine, you saw into my past did you not? You saw bits of my life, not all of it but some of it to know little of me.” Spike realized that he had gazed into his father and did see a few pieces of his father’s past. “M-m-My birth… the deal you made with Celestia… you fighting another dragon… becoming a council member and… earning your name… SkyLord?” Talonus nodded. “Aye, that name only given to those who do a selfless duty for the peace of not just dragons, but others as well. I fought off 20 dragons myself in aerial combat… not an ease feet even on ground. Though, I am surprised you didn’t see your mother or sister yet.” Spike gave a shake of his head. Talonus sighed. “Well… we will wait for that moment to come, but for now, I believe you have many questions and since its just you and I, you may fire when ready.” It took a while for Spike to gather his thoughts. He tried to organize them like he would with Twilight’s library. He already had a few answered right away but it was best to get them straight and clear from the source. “Who am I?” Okay that question came out rather ridicules but still, what if he had a different purpose? “Who are you?” Talonus repeated the question. He gave a thought, with a ‘hmmm’ involved. With a click of his tongue he spoke clearly. “Well, in order to answer that, I will give you a bit of history first. Though, you already are aware of ponies and dragons at the brink of war, I will skip to near the time of your birth. At this point, Equestria had tried began to round its forces and the angry dragons that wanted revenge were assembling during the migration. The council and I were literally screaming at each other on what to do. I still had hopes for ponies, thinking that we could co-exist. Then, one of the other council members suggested we would make a trade of sorts. That if they truly believed in my ideas that ponies and we can live peacefully, that I would trade something of value with them.” “Me.” Was Spike’s simple response. Talonus heard neither malice nor distain in Spike’s voice but he did carry uncertainty and sadness. “Yes. When they heard that my mate, your mother, had just laid your egg, they all decided that if they traded your egg with a pony, that I was really sure of our kind and pony kind to work with one another, than there would be no trouble anymore. The ponies would stop hunting us and we would not war with ponies. I couldn’t argue with the council but neither could I deny that if this were to work, than there could be peace. The trade with Celestia was successful; I gave your egg to be hatched by her and a pony from her own to be traded. However, I knew that the council might think back on the trade and we could have ended up with a useless pony or a criminal and we could have dispose of them anytime. Celestia knew that as well, so she brought Sunset Shimmer to my attention. At first, I thought this would go south very quickly. Her being a filly and me being a dragon, she would freak out or think Celestia was punishing her. However, I offered to teach her to control her pyro-kinetic magic and explosive magic.” “Dragons… can learn magic?” “Do you send scroll through fire to Celestia and receive?” Spike nodded. “We’ll touch more about that in a moment. Continuing, once the trade was accepted, Celestia would grant you safety when you attached and was guaranteed till adulthood where you would return home. The same would be with Sunset Shimmer. But… Celestia had other plans.” “Its not her fault.” Quickly countered Spike. “She may not have hatched me, but she did raise me. She was… I guess ‘mother’ to me as Sunset was ‘father’ to you. Twilight was more of a sister than anything.” Talonus looked at his son for a moment before looking towards the city. “Then they both raised you right. You truly are more of a Dragon than most dragons are.” Spike snorted. “Right. The last time someone said that was a dragon. They didn’t even think I was a true dragon because I didn’t act like one and hung around with ponies.” His father raised a brow. “Oh? And who were these dragons and when did you meet them?” Spike waved a claw. “It was a decade ago, when the last dragon migration happened. I tried to go my own way and found myself wanting to find out who I was.” “A journey of self discovery? At your age?” His father seemed to be annoyed by the thought. “And you did this by yourself?” Spike could hear the growing anger in his father’s voice. Spike answered truthfully. “Twilight did tag along… in eyesight, but that’s not the point. I go there, thinking I would know what it means to be a dragon but all that ended up was me seeing that dragons were awful, evil dragons…” He let that hang in the air. “They chased us and we got away.” His father remained silent for a moment before responding. “I was there at the migration. I had to make sure that there were no ponies or rouge dragon would stray from the path.” His voice lowered. “I should have been aware of any hatchlings walking away from the nesting area.” “I was actually were the teen drakes area. I didn’t know there were separate areas.” “That’s understandable.” Commented Talonus. “But doesn’t excuse the fact that you were chased by the teenagers.” His father paused. “You wouldn’t happen to remember the names or what they look like?” “Um… Grumble?” He paused. “Red dragon… that’s it. There were a lot of red dragons.” Talnous nodded. “To many, though the name sounds familiar.” Spike shrugged. “I didn’t care afterwards. They wanted me to squash a Phoenix’s nest but I refused. That’s when Twilight and the others came to help and then we quickly got away. I managed to save one of the baby chicks and kept him as a pet.” His father gave a smile. “Truly remarkable. You when against your own kin and saved another, along with adopting a familiar.” “… Peewee wasn’t my familiar? I didn’t have magic or anything with me…” “Any creature,” began his father. “that sees a creature in front of them and carry a magical signature will leave an imprint on them. They will see you as their master, as their lord and as their guardian. You may not have known that your… ‘Peewee? … ‘imprinted’ on you but he did, nonetheless and became your familiar because of your magical signature.” Spike thought about it. At first, Peewee did spend time around him more than anything. When Spike was feeling down or got hurt, he was always there before Twilight. When he returned him back to his family, Peewee seemed to cry when he was put back home. Spike felt his heart almost break, as if losing a family member. Maybe he was his familiar… “But you said I have a magic signature. Celestia placed a magic spell on me so I can send the letters but I can’t cast magic.” “Not that you know of but, here is something for you to understand.” He leaned in. “Dragons are immune to magic.” He left that statement hang in the air and Spike to think in awe about it. “Celestia casted the spell on you because you allowed it. You, and so few other dragons, actually can cast magic as well as have magic affect them. Any other dragon you met, would not be affected by magic. Magic can work around them, say lift a gem from their claws, but a magical blast couldn’t hurt them…” he paused. “Unless it was really powerful magic… like Celestia’s magic and even then she would have to use powerful magic to harm a dragon.” Another pause. “A full grown dragon that is…” “And… I am a dragon capable of magic.” “Not in the way you think son. Magic could easily bounce off of you in the next couple of years. Even if you allowed some act of magic to happen to you, the affect would be vastly weak. Once you reach my height or age, you could within roughly stand any magical attack or effect. Now, your magic is vastly different. The few abilities you have which are ranged to growth size, fire manipulation, strength, elemental controls, magic casting and more. One that we both share 'Draco's Eye', which allows us to few into other dragons, view 'Gaze into the eyes of dragons.' The sending of scrolls via fire is one such ability. Even though it was made for you, it is part of your abilities when young. As far as I can tell, you are able to control your greed easily, you have alternate forms…” “Wait, how did you know of that?” His father gave him a noted glance. “I looked into your eyes to son. I have see parts of your past, notably, the growths. You had one form when Twilight had a magical outburst, you had one when you let your greed control you… for the time bit and your natural growth.” “Are there others?” “Other forms you will take?” Spike nodded. “Its unheard of that you took three different forms. You should have only your natural growth and your greed growth, which runs through all dragons though few can change their sizes at will. The magical form maybe part of your magic heritage but we both are limited to that knowledge. However, the rest of your magic is solely based on you. Since Celestia used your fire for use, you may have some fire manipulation as well. You haven’t tested your abilities as of yet?” Spike thought. What did he really do that was something that he considered an ability. “I guess I didn’t really notice it till now but, I have survived a lot of… would be painful accidents. I had huge books fall on me, I smashed into walls at break necks speeds that would normally kill a pony… does belly-flopping into a lava pit count?” His father cringed at the thought, making Spike wonder if that was some miracle he didn’t get hurt. He rubbed his belly a bit, almost imagining the pain. “That bad?” “Well, seeing that you survived lava and… belly-flopped into it… I suppose you have a somewhat high degree of physical resistance, especially at a young age where scales are barely beginning to completely form and harden.” “I thought it was because all the gems I ate.” “You would think so but no. We all think that as younglings but the gems are more of a treat to us like sweets to ponies.” He thought on for a moment. “Anything else?” “Well as you already know, I did manage to blow a huge fire a huge glacier cloud at the Equestrian Games.” His father nodded. “That is a feat on itself. One that even pure fire dragon hatchlings would have trouble with at the age.” Spike nodded. “I guess that’s it.” “You forgot one, my son.” “What?” “You ability to go so long without eating meat and not having lasting affects till the last few months. Your growth spurt should have only kicked in when you had your first kill or tasted of meat. After your bodies had ingested the protein and iron in the meat, it would have sped up your growth spurt.” “And not because my friends kept me from eating other ponies?” “They were… your heralds to hold you in place. They may have not known your need for me but they did keep your appetite from going out of control or feral. Your friends were your greatest anchor to staying yourself.” Spike bathe in the praise of his father’s words. Yes, they truly were his anchor and many times he really did feel like he would have been lost if not for them. “Your abilities are limited for now, but later on they will grow.” “What about wings?” “Your wings are different part of the story though they still revolve around your first growth spurt. Your wings, that I will say may or may not be the most painful experience of growing up.” Spike winced and his hope seem to dwindle at the thought of it. His father nodded. “They do come from your back bone and from there, erupt from your shoulder blades. And when I say erupt, I don’t mean explode or blow from your back. Dragons usually get them early either through greed, finding a life-mate or their diets of meat. In your case, like I said, may or may not be painful. Since your growth was somewhat altered and you are also a magic drake, they may appear magically or sprout from your back. However, if they appear from your back, they will be strong wings that may make you faster with stronger beats. If they are magical, they be could for quick maneuvering and hovering. It all really depends between the current moment till the event which causes your wings to grow, we won’t know.” Spike really was now scarred of getting his wings. The most painful experience he has ever had? What are the chances that it won’t be painful? That begged the question. “How did your wings come out?” His father gave a warm smile. “That is a good question. My wings came when I tried to take on a huge kill without help on my first solo hunt. I wasn't ready for the danger and I wasn't prepared to fight for my live, that I would be going after small hydra. I was literally at the edge of my line, but when I realized that I had to do this or risk not becoming the drake I wanted to be. Next thing I knew, my wings burst from my back and I charged the hyrdra. I latched onto its middle neck, it being the only one that can stop the hydra heads from growing two more, snapped is off and quickly shredded the others. I then quickly set it aflame to prevent any possible regrowth of their heads. I roared to the sky in victory and took my first bite into my feast." His father gave a proud grin. "I truly was a drake that day and maybe someday, you will earn your wings in some heroic fashion as well." "But you were young when you did that. I am already 20 years and still don't have my wings." "True but I was already trained by my father to hunt and while I am glad you were raised by ponies, you would still need to overcome your fear of bloodshed before that may happen. Now, let met ask you this. How old do you believe me to be?” Spike was stumped. It was not a question he ever thought of asking before and for anypony, it was really hard to tell the age of a dragon. Little is known to tell, but they were known to have lifespans of thousands of years. From earlier, he could tell that he knew Celestia for a long while, but that could be anywhere between the moment of their trade to a millennium. Many thought that the bigger the dragon, the older they are and his father is roughly 30 to 40 hooves tall. He past any previous dragons Spike has encountered including the few that resided near Ponyville a decade back. Looking more confused than ever, he answered. “I honestly don’t know. I haven’t really bothered to check how old is a dragon or what they look like when they are old.” Talonus gave a smile. “That is a good observation son. For you, you are still considered a hatchling because you hit your first growth spurt. Yet you are a size past Celestia and can take on a number of ponies if need be. Dragon sizes and age are vastly different from each other. You could have stayed in your greed form but still be a hatchling because you lacked either intellect or maturity to control some of your greed. Now, as for my age, I am near 750 years.” Spike’s jaw dropped and his father gave a hearty chuckle. “Yes, I am aware that is extremely old or hard to believe but at this age, well, I am in my prime as to say. Yet, other dragons that are my age can either be three times my size or stay as small as you. Dragon growth, at least normal dragon growth can stop between my height or the size of a castle. Few dragons can change their sizes at will.” “Can I?” He asked, his voice a bit hopeful. “That is something even I don’t know of, but, when you return home, we will discover the answers together.” Spike thought on. “Can you change your size?” “I can but I only do it when I have to when situations call for it. Changing size requires energy, patience and a clear mind. It also it best to prepare yourself for the changes so your body and your mind adjusts with it.” “How small can you get?” “About your size.” “And you said other’s can as well?” “Few others.” Spike nodded in understanding. “So, any more questions?” And so for the rest of the afternoon, Spike and Talonus engaged in what would be the most educational experience of Spike’s life. Yeah, Twilight and Celestia taught him roughly everything he needed to know. But, his father, which still got some used to saying, had taught him everything he wanted to know. The dragon life cycle. From the moment a dragoness lays an egg, the hatchling is ready to hatch, but how it hatches it depends. From heat, to magic, to love and even other elements, it what shapes the hatchling. Elemental dragons, fire, water, wind, earth, lightning or a mix between them is how they may hatch. Whether their elements will work with their body or will work against all depends on how well the egg works with them or not. Hatchlings can lay dormant an in egg for a thousand years if it has to, though it will take longer for the hatchling to grow up. The gender is not known till the hatchling breaks from its egg. However, differences in body temperature help change the fact when inside the dragoness’s womb. When the dragon hatches, the first thing is that they are somewhat blind. They are sensitive to light, even fire or lightning hatchlings. When they hatch, they must immediately hide from any bright places, which is why a mother or its guardian must cover them. The first food as well, is what its going to eat for the rest of its life. Roughly around the time it hatches till 20 years does the hatchling continue to absorb and take in any information. They could learn practically anything and retain that information for years to come. Spike, being around one of the smartest minds around had helped him early on in life, even at newly hatched, he still had memories of then. What is the barrier between hatchling to child to teen and then adult, is close to pony kin to some degree. From hatchling to child, it would be roughly between birth to 40 years. Roughly between 20 to 40 years, a dragon can mate and carry clutches of hatchlings. Though it is verily when can explore their urges and mate without having hatchlings to care for. From child to teen between 40 to 100 years and from that to adult is around 100 or more. Dragons can continue to grow and may reach their “prime’ until 200 years or more. Their prime lasts for as long as the dragon is strong and healthy with no physical wears. His father had been in his prime for 650 years! He won’t reach elderly till his 1500’s or more! “Few dragons have lived longer than 2000 years and even fewer can still remember what the world was like back than. At that point a dragon may choose to sleep and never wake up or they can live past and continue on.” “Any currently you know of?” His father nodded. “Your great grandmother, my mother’s mother, is the oldest known dragon around. She is older than most pony history began recording. Passing a bit after 2700 years, she is one of the oldest ones still living.” Spike hurt his jaw the rest of the day for it kept dropping and was really hard to keep holding in his surprises. “How…” “How she has lived that long?” Spike managed to nod. His father gave a chuckle. “Well, she is a stubborn old… really old… really really old dragoness. She hates knowing that she can’t walk straight or stand long anymore because of her size but still has no problem screaming at the rest of her children or the council. Believe it or not, she was one of the original dragons to start the council separate from the feral dragons. She still likes to give advice to any dragon that she deems worthy or if history is asked. She still is actually the holder of the draconic archives and teaches the younglings history of our kind. But she still is stubborn when it comes to being old.” “Has she always been stubborn?” His father gave a hearty laugh. “Yes, she was. She believes that dragons were always the smartest species before ponies began to really develop hoof writing. She would always use to say that, without dragons, ponies wouldn’t have been as smart as they are now. She created written language; she had created energy preserves in gems, so on and so forth.” “Huh…”commented Spike. “I could have sworn that Celestia once said that her mother, Faust, had created words and gave ponies intelligence when she created the world.” His father snorted. “Celestia believes anything her goddess of a mother would say, but truth is, Faust only came once to them and told them to help pony kind. After that, she left to take a vacation or something. My mother told me that Faust was just trying to give her ponies an edge and make them all worship or flank when she came. In all honesty, dragons were around longer than pony kind can even remember. Even when they were ferals and graze eating horses, we dragon had already a history with the world.” He paused. “That is to say that they are not all bad.” He paused again. “Not even Celestia.” Turns out, he really did have a history with Celestia. And not the kind that he would have figured. “When I was one of the new council members and managed to get everything in line, I was charged to meet with the princess the first time to get to know of our ally. At the time, she didn’t really trust dragons much and I gave no exception, but after a few days living around her and knowing her personally, I changed her mind and she became an ally to the dragons.” Spike suddenly grew a bit weary and somewhat curious. “When you mean personally, do you mean, like… spend lunch together with her or something?” His father gave a large laugh that shook the grounds and scattered the wild life. When he calmed down, he looked his son in the eyes with good joy. “Son, when I meant personally, I meant that she and I did lunch together and spent the night together in her bed. We mated with each other like teens in heat!” Spike’s jaw was really hurting now. “I had to take her to an exclusive area just so she wouldn’t scream in all of Canterlot and cause panic.” Spike instantly got a mental picture in his head with his father pounding away at Celestia. Oddly enough, it didn’t disturb him but it did rattle him a bit. “W-what did mother say or were you with her at the time?” His father gave a broader grin. “I brought your mother along the trip son. She was at a cave nearby when I brought Celestia to us.” “So she…” “Your mother watched, played with herself and joined in on us. Yeah, she got screwed by two dragons.” Author's Note No edit, just had to shove this one in as soon as I could. Also, this one will be a bit raunchy towards the end. Next chapter will guarantee sex... yes I said it and maybe extended. Lastly, again this is based on my own concepts of dragons. I am not following, well not following some of the rules in the show or any other place, so ideas are 100% mine. Love it, hate it, don't care just tell me 'what the fuck dude!' //-------------------------------------------------------// Emotions We Endured //-------------------------------------------------------// Emotions We Endured No edit: :applecry: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/applecry.png Sorry... lag everywhere... :ajbemused: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/ajbemused.png Spike’s Life Emotions we Endured Evening rolled around and before he knew it, sunset fell and Luna raised her moon and the night skies ruled. Today’s events were… peculiar. Spike now knew a lot about his father… much to his credit and a little bit more about Celestia… to his uncredited. He now could no longer look at her roughly the same anymore. He knew Celestia had secrets but the secrets between his father and her? Along with his biological mother? It was still a wonder how his mind didn’t snap and he convulse over thinking that his parent’s banged or mated or whatever it was called… with Celestia… Monarch and Holy Pony of all, often viewed on as the purest virgin to many churches in her owner. Oh would it be lovely to destroy their hopes and ideals of their dear old Goddess and her not being a virgin. That did bring up the thought of how Prince Blueblood was born? Before his friends got back, they managed to eat a quick meal of whatever was left over of the meat. It was quick but it wasn’t clean though. Spike saw his father devour as well but when it comes to meat, it is customary to eat with your mouth open. If it was other dishes, that is when you eat with your mouth closed. Shining Armor and Cadence had to return to the Crystal Empire. They would return back so they could say ‘Goodbye’ to Spike before he left to the Dragon Lands. With that, Princess Celestia offered guest rooms around the palace. Talonus stayed outside in the gardens. “You sure you don’t wish to sleep inside the great halls?” asked Celestia. The giant drake shook his head before yawning. “No, Thank you Celestia. I would feel cramped and daft if I were to sleep in there.” “You could shrink down to size.” “Yeah but it would be incredibly taxing to regrow back and I actually don’t mind sleeping our here. I love to view you sister’s stars.” “Glad to know that even the mindless beasts care for my nights.” From the shadows of her night, Princess Luna arrived and she had a big grin on her face. “Though I figured a big reptile like you would understand beauty if it was a shinny gem or a dragoness.” Spike had known that Luna was gone when his father had been born and up to this point, never came to the castle. So he really wasn’t sure if things were going to be hostile with Luna and his father, despite the teasing she was giving. “Ah, dear ‘Illuminous Umbra’,” he said in his ancient tongue. There was no malice or hate, just the same playful tease that she was giving him. “You forget that certain ‘drakes’ love to hunt or play under your darkness. We have often even given our prayers and gratitude for it.” He then gave a grin. “Princess Moon Pie.” Oh gods… that was an inside reference and he knew it too! Did he end up mating with Princess Luna?! Luna’s grin didn’t waiver. “I figured that since I entered your dreams as of late, that you know only to call me that in them.” Her eye focused on Spike, giving him a wink before approaching Talonus. Celestia brought her wing around Spike. “Let’s leave these two to themselves.” She whispered. Spike didn’t budge as he watched Luna walked almost… sexily? To his father and he already was moving his hind quarters. Celestia managed to cover his view which distracted him long enough to pull him towards her. As he moved and headed back inside, her managed to hear a final comment from them both. “I hope you taste better than in my dreams.” Damn, either his dad was really horny or he knew which mares would fuck a dragon. Wait… he thought fuck… why would he think fuck? Why fuck? The doors behind him closed and he watched as Celestia walked in front of him with her huge plot swaying left to right. Her huge… sexy butt… Oh fuck… “Are you surprised at your father’s… quickness with my sister?” Spike really didn’t know how to answer that. He really didn’t want to mention that he knew that she and his father and his mother all fucked each other. There goes that word again! Oh was he going to burn in Tartarus for that! His stuttering and unable to even start the sentence had Celestia turn her head and see the stuttering drake. His eyes were cast down but he would occasionally glance back. Don’t say that you know your mother fucked your parents! Don’t say that you know your mother fucked your parents! Don’t say that you know your mother fucked your parents! Don’t say that your know sexy mother fucked your parents! Details were already forming in his mind. Stop thinking fuck! You’re mother didn’t raise you like shit! Don’t curse! “Your father told you about me, him and your mother, didn’t he?” “Fucking!” His eyes went wide. “Lauren Faust!” He cringed. “Gods Dammit!” He then quickly covered his mouth. Oh Shit. Oh Faust was going to really burn his tail in Tartarus! He can already feel the heat between his legs and it was the feeling that came with shame and embarrassment beyond anything. Right now, he saw that Celestia was staring at him, as if he gone crazy. Any moment now, she would either be screaming at him or kicking him out the front door to sleep outside. Her mouth turning into a smile was the least he expected. “Oh what my mother would do to you if she was here.” I fucking know that! Shit there he goes again! Dammit! “I would expected different reaction from you, since I raised you and you would see me as a mother figure.” “I still do!” he quickly said. Though he quickly closed his mouth. He dared not to say anything else. Her smile didn’t waiver. “Your father has already told you that and I am glad that you still see me as that. But just like any other foal who finds out their parents had sex at one point to conceive them, which in your case wasn’t the case, that is still must be viewed as something natural and that you shouldn’t look at your parents in a different light.” He nodded, but then again, it was really hard (literally!!>-<) to see that now, since A, as he grew older, he did find some attractiveness in her that he couldn’t see in any other mare and B, that she was more or less a mother that had many males… even females, throw themselves before her, asking to be her lover. He even had to admit that Luna was sexy looking and he rarely saw her. Rarity was more or less a crush, a mare who is never going to look at him other than a friend. Same with the others. “So I ask, will you see me the same? As your mother or do you know see me as something else?” Her face then went expressionless. Did he really have to answer that? “Of course I still see you as my mother…” “But?” Oh why did you have to say that word?! “But… I guess after everything my father told me about dragons mating and that… there are some that have…” he dared to say the word. “…Incestuous relations, I am not sure what to think anymore. I have been attracted to… mares before and when I grew up… you were… no exception. I just knew I couldn’t do it because your raised me like a mother would and I was your son. It is wrong.” “And now?” “And now… I feel like a new world has open up to me, even though it has always been opened. Maybe I just see a new light and I am scarred of what I might see. I am scarred that I can’t… stop seeing that part of you and it might drive us apart.” He shuddered almost if holding in his cry. “I am… so confused.” Or Horny he thought. Celestia remained quiet. Her face was expressionless now and he kept his head down and his gaze away from her. His heart was beating a mile a minute and his emotions were in flux. If he were pony, he would be sweating bullets now and his only nervous reactions available on a dragon were his claws. Celestia took a step forward and with her hoof, she raised his head. His eyes matched hers. “Would you want this?” she asked as she brought his lips to his. His eyes widened and his body went stiff. Her lips tasted like vanilla and felt so gently on his, despite not having any lips. She then pulled away. “Or this?” She brought her lips this time on his forehead between his eyes. It wasn’t a sexual kiss but it was a motherly kiss… one that he knew to well. When she pulled away, her face remained stoic. Spike didn’t say anything. His expression left him confused and he honestly couldn’t do anything. His mother kissed him and to him… that felt good but it didn’t feel right in his heart. It was something that he felt almost tear in him, like if he looked at her like that, he would lose his mother. He didn’t want that, not in anyway. Yes, it didn’t matter that dragons had relations with siblings but that didn’t mean it should change the fact between himself and his pony family. Celestia would always be his mother. Yeah, she had a body that would turn anyone’s head and even his own, but she didn’t use her body to tease or persuade others. She was naturally gifted with it and he should be happy that despite this turmoil, she still looked at him as her son. Now and forever. He brought his arms around her and brought her into a hug. A few tears streamed down his face. Her arm and wings wrapped around him. He knew that in his heart, she was his mother and now matter what, that would never change. “You are my mother.” He said softly. “And you are my son.” She replied warmly. She then pushed away from him. “And it’s alright that you see me like this. We are two different species and if you are attracted to me, that is fine.” “But…” She silenced him with a hoof. “But nothing. I raised you, I nurtured you and I saw your grow from a hatchling to the dragon you are now. Twilight raised you along with me when she was a bit older and wiser, and she is your sister. That will never, ever change. You can view me all you like, you may even tease or play with me, you can even mate with me if you like.” He gulped loudly and felt tense as his mother stared into his eyes. “But, you will always be my son and I will always be your mother. Right?” He nodded softly. “Good.” She gave a smile before bringing his head down and giving a kiss to his forehead. “Go to sleep now. I will see you in the morning.” She then moved away from him and started heading towards the stairs. “Good night… mother.” “Good night, my son.” He then disappeared at the corner of the stairs. Spike was then left alone in the giant hall. He stood there for a few more minutes before he too began to head towards his room. His feelings were now dwindling down and he now felt a bit more at peace. He headed back to one of the guest rooms he had been set up with. However, along the way, he encountered Sunset Shimmer leaving one doors that lead to a guest room. Her eyes met his and his met hers. “Hi.” They both answered in unison. They then gave sheepish smiles. Spike was the first to break the tension. “So… I guess we never really been introduced?” She shook her head but gave a smile. “No, I guess not. I wasn’t expecting today to go so…” “Unexpected?” She gave a nod. “I am Sunset Shimmer but you already knew that.” “And I guess I am Spike.” She expected him to go on, to mention his last name but he didn’t. “Oh, father hasn’t told you your last name?” Spike gave a quizzical look. “I have a last name?” He paused. “Well I do have a last name since I am part of Twilight’s family. It being Spike Sparkle but I didn’t know I had a last name or my father did.” Sunset gave a slight nod and a smile. “Last names are earned when it comes to dragons. You know of father’s, it being ‘Skylord’.” “I thought that it was a title he earned when he defeated rouge dragons.” “Hence he earned his last name.” “Wow.” He then thought on. Why didn’t he mention it when they were talking the afternoon?” “He probably wanted to wait for you to come home to see what gained him the name.” she answered, almost if reading his mind. He then gave an unsure nod. “I figured I would have earned mine or something after saving the Crystal Empire twice or something.” Sunset gave a small shrug. “Gaining a pony name and a dragon name are two different things, at the same time they sort of work the same way.” “How?” She was about to answer when a patrolling night guard passed by. “Is there something you two need?” Sunset and Spike shook their heads. “No thank you.” Sunset Spoke. “We were just heading to my room now.” Spike looked at her. “We were?” She gave a small nod and motioned with her head. Spike followed and the guard left them be. Walking down the familiar corridors of the castle, Spike often forgot how any new comer might get lost in these halls without an official guide. Sunset seemed to find her way back to her room easy enough, maybe after 20 years she actually remembered her way back. She opened a door and motioned him to follow. Spike knew roughly every door and every room of this castle since he could remember. He had visited virtually all of them. All except this one and Luna’s room. Celestia always kept those two doors closed to all staff. She only went in there and she was always the one that came out. It was no surprise that Sunset gained access back to her room. When Spike stepped inside, he expected a normal looking room… and that is what he got. It pretty much resembled Twilight’s and his room when they were living at the castle. A large bookshelf lined one side of the wall with virtually any book an egghead could want. A huge bed was in the east end with fiery red colors(duh) and had comfort pillows. There was a desk at the corner with a lamp near it where one could spend late nights trying to study. Lastly was a door that leads to the restroom. All in all, it was a pretty decent place. The walls did line up with sunset colors and it felt more or less like Princess Celestia’s room. Sunset closed the door behind him and she walked passed to her bed. “So,” she began. “You wanted to know of how pony names and dragon names differ yet are somewhat the same?” Spike gave one last look around the room before he finally focused on Sunset. “Yeah. Though do you have a last name other than your own?” She gave a nod. “Father gave it to me when I first completed my ‘Flare’ Spell. I created a huge fire wave with enough heat to match or even past the temperature of lava. It was enough to actually give some heat to dragons.” She gave a satisfying smile. “My last name is Sunset Flare or if I add it to my name, Sunset Flare Shimmer.” “And you only go by Sunset Shimmer with ponies?” She gave a brief nod. “A dragon’s last name only has meaning if the dragon has earned it within the dragon’s council or among other dragons. But a last name isn’t necessary a last name. It could be a sort of title after. Like yours; you could have gone by Spike The Crystal Empire Defender or Spike Crystal Soul, for you have saved the Crystal Empire risking your life.” He gave a cocky grin. “Yeah, that does sound better though.” Sunset giggled. “It does and I guess that is something that maybe you would have to prove to other dragons. You may have been a hatchling when you done it but you could still earn that title.” “I don’t think the Crystal Empire would want to get into another dangerous situation again, especially since we just finish saving them a few years ago.” Sunset kept her smile. “There are many ways to earn a title, Spike. Not all of them involve heroic deeds. Some dragons have earned them by incredible acts of bravery, intelligence, wits, combat, magic and more. Some have gone their whole lives searching for lasts names to be earned.” She noticed his sudden crest fallen, if barely visible, on his face. “But you have more than proven that, not just to the ponies but to Celestia and father.” Spike gave a small smile. “Thank you.” It then returned to silence between the two. It didn’t occur to Spike until now but Sunset did live so long with his father that it became her ‘father’ too. Just like Celestia was a mother to him and Twilight a sister, was she his sister. “Would that make us siblings?” he asked, a bit loudly . “Hmm?” He paused. “You keep saying ‘father’ and I know that he was your father for almost 20 years. He adopted you, he raised you and he took care of you. So does that make us siblings or just… pony and dragon?” Sunset didn’t answer. She too thought of it and it was an odd concept thought it wasn’t entirely new to her for she also had Stylla, Spike’s blood related sister, as her sister. They practically were sisters in every sense of the way as well. “Well, what do you think?” Spike noticed a sudden change in her voice. Almost as if, saying something had changed her demeanor. “What do you mean?” She removed herself from her bed and almost casually, if not, smoothly walked her way to him and sat directly in front of him. Her sky blue eyes met his and his green eyes met hers. Instantly, he knew that look. “Do you want us to be siblings or dragon and pony? Either way, I am fine with it.” Lust… Simple and to the point. However those eyes did hide a different agenda. Not a moment ago, she was as innocent as Fluttershy with bunnies and butterflies all around her. Now… now she carried herself with pride and persuasion. Her tail moved a bit side to side, almost to show her eagerness. She made herself look taller by sitting up straight, thought it didn’t help much since he was a full head and a half taller than her. He didn’t answer, he couldn’t answer. His heart was beating a mile a minute and he could have sworn he heard hers as well. “Well?” she asked, almost eagerly waiting for his answer. He didn’t know if he could talk. Here was a mare, not just an ordinary mare but a mare raised by dragons. She didn’t have a problem knowing that Spike was a dragon or that he was an adoptive sibling of sorts to him. She was honestly begging for it, despite not saying the actual words. One of the problems he had with Rarity in the past was that she thought of him as a little brother of sorts or a helper. She never saw him as anything else. When he did grow in size, her view changed with his size but stayed pretty much the same. He was a dragon and she was a pony and they could never be. It tore his heart when she told him that and he swore off of mares, despite he still had his eyes wonder here and there for them. He had even a few explicit magazines under his mattress where Twilight couldn’t get them. And yeah, he even had masturbated to a few mares after seeing a few pass by. It was difficult not to fine something attractive if you lived your whole life around it. Yeah, he knew that, as he grew older that it would be difficult for him to gain or even remain in a relationship between him and a mare. Especially if said mare is well known or has a reputation, but that didn’t stop him from trying. A few mares did find him attractive but more or less as a stud or something completely out of ordinary. But now, here a situation lied before him, a beautiful mare, his adoptive sister no-less, who had no problems with him being a dragon and she a pony. Her eyes still carried the lust, but she also carried a sense of… caution. Maybe, she wasn’t sure if she would upset him or not and remained somewhat vigilante. She may or may not set him off the wrong way and it could end badly for them both. Spike had a talk with his father and incestuous relationships, but never anything about a dragon and a mare. No matter, you should always be wary of the females actions and figure out if she had experience or not. It was almost wise to make sure to take it easy with one another. He gathered his thoughts before replying softly and carefully. “I see only a pony and dragon, both who are of different families but with similar pasts. We were raised by different parents of not of our own but of each others, we struggled to adapt to the environment around us and we both are about to return to lives we may have never thought of going back to. If you are only doing this because you feel a need to, I ask that you rethink this and let me leave. I don’t want something to happen between us and regret it later, when and if we do meet again, there is no conflict. I don’t see you as a sister, but you have been raised by my… our father well. I think that if you really want to do this, you know that I… have never been in a relationship before. Nor do I know how long this will last if I am to return home and you are to return to pony society.” “You want us to see if this is a one time deal?” she asked. Her voice was flat and lacked any emotion whatsoever. He looked her in the eyes and nodded. “Father told me that in dragon society, sibling relationships are fine but up until today, I still felt conflicted with that and knowing what it could mean. You are as part of my family, my pony family as you are with your family. If I were to see you as a sister or not, that is up to you. I just want it to be a choice in which we both can agree on.” Sunset gazed into his eyes, almost viewing his soul. She searched for the honest truth and found that he gave everything to it. He wasn’t some lusty drake that only wanted her for tail. The few dragons that would actually want to mate with a mare where the ones that were so full of lust and heat that they would fuck anything with hole. Yet, here was a drake, who could have easily said yes and fucked her brains out. Maybe she would have liked it, maybe, but he actually declined unless they both knew what they were doing and that there would be no regrets. When her eyes caught sight of a drake her father had only talked about in his letters, she imagined a gentle drake with a heart of gold and burned twice as any volcano. She imagined a drake integrated by pony society, would grow up respecting ponies of every kind and learning to enjoy the same things as they did. A dragon where he wasn’t afraid to show himself to the world that he was a dragon and that he was not hostile or evil. He lived with ponies for roughly 20 years and he turned out as every bit as she imagined. All that she could think of was how dumb she might have felt if he didn’t respond to her advancements right or misinterpreted them. Yeah, he was a hunk of a dragon and something that few drakes that she grew around with carried. But he did it with or without knowing that it may attract mares. He had no relationships and it was because of that, she may have a leap of hope. “I am a virgin as well.” Well... so much for hope. Her mouth opened before she could even think of saying anything. Spike gave her a look before smiling. “I… I’d figure that… maybe you were… you know, chased by some drake or something.” Sunset’s face grew red but she did give a smile. “I had thought and tried many times but in the end, I felt that I would chase after you, when father told me of you and your accomplishments. Not a lot of drakes do half the stuff you did in your life.” Spike leaned down, sitting on his hind legs to move closer to her face. “Well, I guess we both have our accomplishments but I guess one of them isn’t a relationship.” Sunset shook her head but her smile remained. “No but maybe we can try it together.” She paused before adding. “Slowly and softly.” He paused. “Like a dinner or a date?” She giggled and shook her head. “No silly. I believe dinner was earlier and the date was… the moment between us when we first spoke to now.” “Now?” She nodded. “Now, is where we both enjoy each other and see what happens next.” With that, she reached up and pulled him into a kiss. Author's Note No clop in this one, sorry but when ever I write explicit stories, I have to be turned on and the half to the end of this story didn't keep me going, so I will save it for the next chapter. I have to imagine the words and the scenes in my head in order to get it done right and clop-able. I am one of the few people who actually masturbate to a lot of stories here and its no different to mine when I finish the story. But if the mood is off before I finish the plot point to clop point, I save it for another chapter. Again no edit and will have clop chapter done sooner so you can all enjoy!:raritywink: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/raritywink.png That is why the next chapter will feature Talonus and Luna(in the first half) Sunset and Spike(second half) and Celestia by herself(Last half) //-------------------------------------------------------// Emotions we Enjoy //-------------------------------------------------------// Emotions we Enjoy Spike’s Life Emotions we Enjoyed Celestia took Spike away, pulling away his view away from his father and her sister. Luna approached the large dragon, swaying her hips, side to side, teasing him and giving him a sultry look. One thing with Talonus is that there isn’t a day that doesn’t enjoy a good lay. He has a wonderful mate that he mounts on a daily basis. It was never dull, it was never the same thing over again… well it was but the love they shared was endless. It was a bit of an open relationship for them both, something he didn’t really want to mention to Spike, probably already messing up the relationship between him and Celestia. “I hope you taste better than in my dreams.” He spoke. Luna gave a smirk. “You may check for yourself… once you shrink yourself to myself.” “Aww… your afraid I might crush you?” he teased. “Here I thought you goddesses could withstand anything.” She gave a look. “Here I thought a handsome dragon would do his best to please said goddess?” He chuckled. “As she commands then.” He closed his eyes, concentrating for a bit before slowly, his size began to reduce. Luna watched, a bit in awe as the huge dragon before he shrunk down in size. His form didn’t change but his massive large wings shrunk with, making them less menacing. It took roughly ten seconds for the massive dragon to shrink down to her size… or close to it as possible. He was still a full head and a half taller than her, but she would figure out to make it work. Talonus opened his eyes to see that he still looked down at Luna but at least he was closer. From this point, at least he knew that Luna could adjust to him… to a point but still, he would to puffer to play it save. “Does this meet your needs, oh goddess?” Luna gave a grin. “I hope that… with this sudden drop in size, not ‘everything’ went down to size?” As if to answer her question, he lifted his lower hind leg to reveal a third leg… his third leg being his dragonhood. Luna almost felt her mouth drop at the size of it. Indeed, he may have shrunk but his penis was still huge. It was bigger than any stallion could hope and even bigger stallions would be jealous. It was almost up to his chest and thicker than her leg. It pulsed in deep purple; light green veins covered it completely, all the way to the tip which was almost pointed. “Tell me now…” he teased, giving his body a little shake so that his cock moved side to side. “Still believe it shrunk? I could always go bigger for you.” Luna shook her head before focusing her eyes on him. His eyes met hers. “My mate has no complaints, quite the opposite in fact.” He then gave a sinister grin. “Did your sister tell you how she liked it?” With a growl, she charged the dragon and tackled him. Talonus wasn’t surprised so he allowed Luna to tackle him to the floor. With her now on top and him pinned, again allowing her to pin him, she stood over him with a look that would scare most stallions. Lust. Lust of a goddess. “THOU NOW SHALL ENDURE OUR WRATH AS WE SMITE THEE!!!! WE SHALL NOW LAY CLAIM UPON YOU AND TAKE YOU AS OURS!!!! Her voice boomed at him, though it didn’t really affect him as much. He dealt with loud voices on a daily basis... Often enough, it was his mate as he plowed into her… this situation was no different. A lustful female trying to be dominant and controlling… it was something he loved to see… right before he turned the tables and had them begging for more. All to eager to appease to the ‘Goddess of the Night’, he grabbed her from her waist, gaining a yelp from her before quickly turning her over and he now stood on top of her on the grass below. He was already fully aroused and he craved attention for his organ bellow. He didn’t give Luna time to speak or anything else before he reared his head and buried his snout deep in her marehood. She gave a startled cry before her cry turned to a moan as Talonus used his still massive tongue to probe and crawl deep inside of her cunt. His tongue ravished her opening, almost seeking the end of the passage of her body. He tasted every bit of her, savoring the delicious secretions that came from her body. Luna’s senses were overwhelmed and her body was bucking wildly as the dragon devoured her. She hadn’t felt this pleasure in 1000 years, maybe longer. Her body wracked as his tongue reached every inch of her marehood, teasing every bit of her inner body. His sharp teeth were also working her outer lips, occasionally brushing her clit, making her cry out each pass. He made sure not to hurt her as he held her down; using his claws to gentle rake them across her body. Oh, that was driving her mad! Her juices spilt like a dam, with his tongue working her over to drink it up. Despite his maw wrapping over her cunt completely, he still was over flooded with her fluids. This continued roughly for a few minutes before Luna’s inevitable orgasm came like the flood gates of a damn. She gave a final cry as her pussy clenched and her fluids gushed straight into Talonus’s mouth. Her body slummed and she gave a heavy moan, her body still twitching from her final discharges. Talonus lifted his head to inspect his work and grinned. “Oh, how the mighty have fallen.” Luna tried to speak but the last of her energy was drained and she was left to mewl on the floor as her orgasm was slowly subsiding. “Do you now wish to know what it means for dragons to take away Princesses?” Luna looked at him, trying to keep a clear eyes focused on him, before dread filled her as her eyes were soon filled with the drake looming over her and the long organ that was his phallus was near her opening. “Now, lets test the endurance of a Night Goddess, shall we?” Inside the Castle Quarters… Sunset moaned into the kiss as Spike’s lipless maw pressed against her mouth. It was the weirdest feeling that touched her but it wasn’t unwelcomed, especially since Spike had a lack of some experience. He kept pressing against her and she tried to move back. Spike quickly felt it and moved away from her. Sunset opened her eyes and stared at him. He was flushed, both embarrassed and shy at the lack of experience. Sunset gave a small smile. “It’s alright, Spike. I know its your first time.” Spike lowered his head a bit, but quickly reared back as he stared down at his slowly rising phallus. It seems that in the heat of the moment, he became aroused and now, his drakehood had popped out of his slit and was beginning to grow. Sunset stared in half wonder before she tried to look at his eyes… really, really tried. “I-I-I have only seen father’s… and maybe a f-f-few others.” She stuttered, still caught off guard by his shaft. “Am—Am I big?” ‘Fuck he’s huge!’ His dick was easily bigger than her foreleg. It wasn’t as thick though, thank Celestia for that but it looked like she may have to get used to it. She would have to be slow for that. To big for her mouth and it may hurt her more there than her pussy. The throbbing cock almost glistened in the dim lit room. Deep purple, almost like her father’s, covered his shaft with ridges and a cone shaped head where pre was beginning to form. Her mouth almost watered and her eyes didn’t move from it. It wasn’t till Spike covered himself that she snapped out of it. She shook her head and focused back at the now, fully red drake. “Sorry… uh yeah… your pretty big. At least, big for your size.” Her cheeks grew warm as well. “I uh… think we should start slow.” “Okay….” He paused. “How?” He twiddled his claws. “I have never done this before and… I feel like I have to do this. Something… inside of me wants to do this and its really hard to restrain myself.” Sunset felt a bit of dread that his dragon instincts were kicking in but thankful that he was restrained. Yeah, she had to deal with that before and it was thanks to her father and her father’s training that she knew how to subdue or to escape from situations of lust filled dragons. A dragon’s lust was no joke and if done without a consensual partner, chances are that the one underneath is the one that gets hurt or worse. Fortunately, she also knew how to defuse the situation. He was young and inexperienced, which was both a good and bad thing. Good because he didn’t know ways of properly courting a mate. Bad because he may go on his instincts and pin her there and then. He may even go into a lust filled greed. Taking in a huge breath, she let it out gently. “I know that it must be hard for you and I am sorry for doing this to you.” Spike looked at her. “What do you mean? We both wanted this… right?” Now he felt really scarred if she had actually declined. Sunset nodded. “Of course I do but… you are a dragon and I was afraid you might go to your basic instincts and hurt me. We are trying to prevent that.” Spike nodded. It didn’t help though that Sunset was still aroused and her scent lingered in the room. Despite the differences in species, Spike could smell female arousal and his penis was already fully erect. It was almost to his chest and it was still leaking pre. “If you trust me, I can make this work for us both.” “I trust you.” Sunset nodded. “I… want you to be on the bottom so I can be on top. I can adjust to you while you… do with me as you please.” “I don’t want to hurt you.” “You won’t. Besides, I know that for dragons, its instinctual to do what comes to you. All I ask is that your warn me or do so softy and then let yourself go.” He nodded. With that he climbed her bed and lied down on his back. His long penis stood high and proud. Sunset stared in awe at the towering penis and shuddered, knowing that she was just seconds away from experiencing a dragon for the first time… and losing her virginity as well. Her marehood had been wet since their kiss, now, she was starting to drip. She smoothly climbed on top of the bed, leaning over Spike, who was watching her with curious and lustful eyes. He has never had sex before and yet his body felt like everything will come naturally. Pony magazines, masturbation and even spying on your friends who had sex would be nothing close to the real thing. (He spied on Rainbow Dash and Soarin having sex at Shinning Armor’s bachelor party. They often hook up at random places. Same with Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich.) His cock throbbed as Sunset approached, her legs moving sensually, the mattress moving with her hooves as she positioned her left leg over his body and her marehood was just an inch away from his cock. Droplets fell from her pussy and landed in his higher groin area, though some of it still landed on his cock. She slowly lowered herself to gently brush his penis with her lips. The feeling was instantaneous. A shock shot up their bodies and both gave a shiver with a soft moan escaping them. Spike never had the feeling of another at his cock and Sunset never let some touch her there, other than a gemstone she used as a phallus before. Her juices spilt more and his cock throbbed more. His instincts were starting to come in. He slowly pushed his cock back to her lips, letting it gently rub against it. Sunset moaned and pushed back, let the organ press against her lips but never letting it slip in. The tip brushed her outer lips before touching the top of her lips. She pushed more of herself onto it, letting her clit brush the thickness of his cock. Their moans filled the room and the arousal only heightened them both. Spike became strong enough to control his primal needs and gently grabbed Sunset’s hips, helping her brush his organ against her. Her secretions ever so coating his cock with a gentle trickle; his own organ was gushing with pre-cum, oozing on her cunt or down his shaft, creating a small puddle on his scales and dampening the sheets below. He used his claws to gently dig them inside of her fur, this getting a load moan from her. Spike almost panicked thinking that it might alert other ponies, but Sunset’s room was almost completely in its own hallway with no other room for a number of ways. The closest room was in fact the Princesses rooms but they were still a bit away. Quickly using this to his advantage, he dug his claws into her flank, enough to cause her to moan loudly but not in pain. He squeezed, gently scratching them against her flank back and forth, making her marehood brush against his penis. This was almost to much to bare but he had let her decide how they should do this. It was roughly a few more minutes of them doing this before Sunset gave a cry and finally came. Her juices squirted all over his cock, almost like a coating of heated thick liquid had been poured over him. But then it was over and Sunset fell on top of him, causing a splash of liquid and a loud squelching sound be heard. Sunset laid on him, panting heavily and still twitching as the last of her orgasm faded. Spike wasn’t tired but he also wasn’t satisfied. Sunset realized that he not only didn’t get off but he had been patient with her the whole time. His instincts must be burning in him. She looked up at him who just stared at her back. His eyes were filled with lust but also something else. Sunset couldn’t place it but it looked like hope… and love. She may not have her father’s Draco Eye ability but she did have female intuition at that may be just as good. Spike was looking for something in this relationship and maybe more. Something that neither of them had had before. Not yet knowing if that was a good idea or not, she just hope that he answered his question about not regretting anything. She then wrapped her arms and legs around his body before twisting them and he in turn was on top and she was on bottom. Realizing was she was doing, he quickly got on his legs with her legs holding onto his waist tightly. She looked deeply into his eyes and made sure his met hers. “Do what comes naturally,” she whispered. “Do what comes to you… as a the dragon you are.” Spike stared at her silently, his eyes never leaving hers and his heart beating miles a second. He gave a single blink before leaning in, his muzzle not close to her muzzle but on her neck. He breathed in her scent, made his mind and body memorize the scent that may be his soon. His tongue came out, slowly brushing her neck and causing a shiver that made her body twitch. He lowered his legs so that her flank was on the bed and that now, his cock was less than an inch away from her opening. He gave a few thrusts, missing his spot and only end up brushing against her cunt or her thigh. His tongue licked over her neck, almost tasting her and taking in her unique taste. Sunset moaned, still trying to get Spike to penetrate her. With a much needed and controlled effort, she used her magic to grip his cock. Spike growled, almost lustfully before moaning as somehow, Sunset managed to make her magic hot. His cock was surrounded by heated magic and then guided in to her cunt. With a simple trust, he penetrated her walls and pushed deep into her. Both gasped, the feeling so intense that Sunset was already on the verge of a second climax. His thick cock was only halfway into her but she already felt full and her juices were squeezing to get between his shaft and out of her cunny. She moaned loudly, her hooves digging into his scales, her hind legs holding onto him, praying to dear Celestia that he would never let go. Spike slowly began pushing into her more, seeing how far he could go. Sunset body bucked against him as he went in deep into her, only managing to get three quarters of a way in before hitting her end. Spike then stopped, letting her adjust to the size of his organ in her body. Sunset still was bucking against him softly, trying to adjust to his size. It took a few more seconds, him being her first and him still be a huge stal… dragon to take in. Still, he was doing his best to not go fast or hard against her. When she was ready, she slowly began to grin against him, letting his hips know he could go again. With that, Spike withdrew almost halfway before slowly sinking back in. Sunset held him tightly and Spike began licking the side of her neck, making this the most intense experience for either of them. He started slow, doing her in a rhythm that was both natural and himself working it. His cock slid in and out of her, no struggle and no stopping. Despite the soft going on their end, the room still echoed with the sound of her bodies hitting each other. Spike was into it already, instincts kicking in and his body doing the rest. His mind was high above the clouds and his senses where heighted. The smell of her sex filled his nostrils, the taste of their juices lingered in the air, the feeling of his cock penetrating her tight pussy and the oh so sweet sounds of her moans and body slapping filled him joy. It was almost like a high he never knew he could experience and no doubt that he would ever wish to forget. Soon, he couldn’t take more of the softness and began to slowly increase his speed. His trusting got stronger, his tongue traveled across her face and neck, licking her everywhere; her horn included, which gave her a tingle but not much else. Her moaning was almost infectious and hooves around him were tightening, unnoticed by him. Her eyes were filled with tears of pleasure and joy at the wonderful feeling that she was experiencing that filled her heart and made her body so hot. She was so used to heat and it became part of her element, even her magic. She has been to volcanos and barely broke a sweat but here. Here she was so hot, so tired and so sweaty with the sheer force of Spike’s pounding and her body trying to cope with his. It was almost taxing her completely. Spike grew bolder and now trusted her with all his might. He buried his cock as deep as he could before retrieving it almost all the way, letting his tip at her entrance before slamming back in, making her cry in ecstasy. The large bed creaked with their love making, the sheets were drenched in Sunset’s sweat and their bodily fluids. Spike held her close to his chest as his orgasm was approaching. His body filling her almost just alone on pre-cum and her own cum unable to escape. Her voice was lost and was unable to voice her moans. Her orgasm already hit and she was on the verge of passing out. With Spike showing no signs of slowing down, Sunset could barely think and wonder if he would ever cum. His trusts were still heavy and his cock hit every inch of her walls, it was driving her mad! Spike was at the edge and almost had a split second to gain back his focus. Release his seed into her womb and roar out to the whole castle or, claim her as his own by doing what all dragons do to their mate? He snapped down at her and bit her neck. Sunset gave a silent cry as his teeth sung into through her fur and into the skin. Her body reacted and gave a final worn out as her body released her fluids from her puss. Spike’s penis flared out, shooting a jet stream of his seed into her womb and filling it. Sunset immediately passed out as his seed hit her walls. Her pleasure was satisfying but over taxing on her body. Yet, her body continues to twitch and spasm as Spike’s cum flooded her womb. Her belly began to grow slightly as he continued to gush his fluid into her. Spike didn’t stop coming for over ten seconds and his mouth still clamped on the scruff of her neck. He could taste the blood from her body and it was oh so sweet. Like a sweet gem with a bit of an iron taste to it. His tongue instinctually came, with his mouth still on her neck, to lick the blood that poured from her neck. Dragon saliva, which he was not aware of, instantly sanitized the holes on her neck and because it was heated, slowly began to reside the blood. He pulled out his cock, a few spurts shot from the tip and landed on her belly, coating it with sticky, thick white cum. That allowed all the fluids from her body to come gushing out of her cunt and poor into the bedsheets bellow, making the already drenched, spread across the bed. His cock laid gently on her belly as he lied on his side, still holding onto her neck. Strings of cum still dripped from his cock, adding to her pearly coated coat. His cock slowly began to reside, shrinking down in size before retreating into his sheath. Both of the heart beats returned to normal and Spike slowly retracted his teeth from her neck. What little blood their was slowly matted to her fur. Her cunny was still sore and a little red but otherwise remained the same size. Her breathing was now that of sleeping and she seemed really well rested. Spike however, was still lost in a haze. His vision was blurry and his mind wasn’t right. He couldn’t tell if his thoughts were his own. But something in him kicked him to check on his mate. He lazily looked down at Sunset, saw that she was breathing and that her neck wasn’t bleeding out. He saw that there was still blood on it and that fluids still coated her body. He couldn’t decide what to do but his body demanded that he clean his mate before sleeping. An almost draconic need to make sure she was alright and that she would be clean. He leaned down and began to lap at her neck, cleaning away the leftover blood and fill any still open holes on her neck with saliva. Her body gave a small shudder as his heated tongue seemed to cause her body to start mending itself in a way before the holes were barely visible. After her neck was cleaned, he then licked the rest of her body, going from her face, down her neck, to her chest and then her lower body. His tongue gave no consideration or distaste as licked his own cum from her body. He lapped it up, having actually enjoy the taste but still go on instinct and clean her body no matter what. His tongue carried his cum and what he tasted was a thick, salty fluid with some sweetness in it. He cleaned her belly till it was just matted with his saliva only. Then, he moved down her cunny, almost instantly hit with the smell of sex. However, he just focused on keeping her clean. He began licking her thigh sides of any fluids, his or hers and swallowed it up. It was thick enough that a few tongue laps lead to a thick taste of his fluids and hers on his mouth. Her body twitched or she gave soft moans as he licked around and in her cunny but Spike kept it casual, not to make her cause much more of a mess. He stuck his tongue in her, getting any fluids that he could, which got her to moan but he quickly cleaned her up and left her be. Making sure she was almost clean, he picked her up with his front legs before standing on his hind legs, gently not to wake or disturb her. He then kicked the sheets, stepping over them as he kicked and crumbled them. The top of the sheets were thick so most of the fluids were on there. The bottom ones were tolerable, so he wouldn’t have to worry about it at night. Once the sheet was gone, he gently laid her back down on her bed. Her soft snores filled his ears, knowing that he did well. Laying by her, her encircled her with his body, using his tail to cover her legs and bringing her close to his chest. He held her, listening to the steady and gentle rhythm of her heartbeat. The noise was almost deafening, and yet, soothing to his ears, hearing his mate sleep. It was… hypnotic and was making his eyes heavy along with the draining energy. His eyes grew heavy and finally closed. He fell asleep with the only mare who may share a heart with him. In another part of the castle…. Celestia gave a small gasp as her juices spilt from her vagina. She was magically fucking herself with a glass dildo that resembled a lamp with multiple curves. The orifice was coated her secretions and she was slowly driving it in and out of her. What was causing her to do this was what lied in front of her. From her bed, she held a single screen, an almost magic mirror, where it was split into two ways. One was focusing on her sister as she was coming to a climax from Talonus and the other was of Spike and her daughter Sunset Shimmer as they were closing to their climax. She didn’t normally spy on others but the two couples where easily ones to figure out that they would be doing some naughty fun. She was actually surprised that her daughter would go after Spike rather than somepony else. She figured she might go for Twilight or even herself, but she guessed that being around dragons her life has made her want to be with one. Even if it is with her own adopted son. It wasn’t bad, especially since they were both adopted, both never had been in a serious relationship that she knows and both had needs that could only satisfy them. She gave another gasp as she came, her fluids gushed from her pussy as she shoved the dildo deep in herself as she watched Luna cum and Sunset pass out. Her body heaved as her climax was short but satisfying. She sighed happily before removing the glass dildo. Her eyes focused on the screens, as Luna was done and thanked Talonus for the wonderful night before heading back into the castle. She then turned to see Spike cleaning Sunset before falling asleep next to her. Again, it was interesting for something like this to happen but she saw no ill will towards it. After all, one pony’s love is another pony’s lust. In this case, Spike might actually fall in love with Sunset Shimmer but Sunset might need more time to get to know Spike. She gave a lick to her fluids, giving a small moan at her own taste before teleporting the dildo to a secret treasure chest she has behind one of her painting. Luna likes to come in her to take some but she cant have the maids go into her room and find them underneath her bed or something. The scandal that would come from this! Either way, she was both satisfied at her adoptive children and happy they might make each other happy in the future. A future that looks very bright. Author's Note Okay sorry about the long wait but several factors came up that may have nearly made me start this series over. 1. When Issue 14 of friends forever came out, I knew that dragons would be involved. I knew that he would meet other dragons. However I didn't know how or why but I did. When I read the issue, it stumped me and even though this was going to be my version of dragons, some things did make me hesitate or make me rethink my approach on this. I wanted to start over but so much time it would take and I didn't want to change it for the sake of following the story of the comics. 2. I was kind of waiting on Season 5 to start and see what they would do with Spike in the first couple of episodes.... Nothing.... he is still the background and still the useless character they want him to be. So, if anything changes in the episodes, I might change with it. 3. I was delaying this because I was looking for my other stories and doing some short.... short short stories to pass time. I did these stories every week or so and that took time, so for now, this story, 4 villainesses story and Awakening will be my only focus till I get done with 4 villainesses and this one. 4.I can only do these stories if I am in the mood and I have nothing to distract me with. how I get in the mood well is watch or read pony clop but then I get divereted and I loose track so its a bitch of a thing. But I promise I will keep up with this story. Maybe not every week but I will try. Again sorry for not edit but this was rushed and had to be dealt with soon. Let me know what you think and let me know what got you off! //-------------------------------------------------------// What is to come //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note So sorry it took me so long but 3 jobs are keeping me busy along with the massive writers block I have. I will continue this for a while though I plan to space a bit the chapters... no more than a few weeks. On top of that, This story and Four Villainesses vs Dusk are my priorities for now with Villainess being done in like 4 or 5 chapters while this one will break off into another book. Again sorry for the wait by live has me at the horns and I will do my best to continue one. Expect Villainesses next chapter to be done by this week. (No edit to this, lost all my proof readers) What is to come Spike’s Life What is to come The following morning, Spike and gang had a huge breakfast, without the visuals of meat, with Celestia and Sunset in front and Talonus up front. No pony really saw the flirtatious or often passing between Sunset and Spike. Winks, raised eye brows, twitching tails and the not so subtle giggles. This only went noticed by Celestia and Talonus. They themselves saw the hidden gestures but made no comment for it. In which case, Celestia cleared her throat and got everyone’s attention. “If you all may, I believe that due to Spike leaving so soon, I ask that you may… go back to Ponyville to give him a proper send off. With friends and family of course.” “OH does this call for a ‘Happy Good Bye’ party for Spike?!” Pinkie Pie Exclaimed. Celestia gave a happy nod. “Of course! I’ll join you all once Luna awakes and the cakes are baked.” “Careful, Sun Riser.” Spoke Talnous in his Draconic Tongue. “You keep eating those sweets and your ass will grow. It will grow so that I may no longer have to shrink down to size in order to fit inside of you.” Sunset was the only on in the entire room who almost giggled loudly and had to hold herself from losing control. Spike got a few words here and there but was just as clueless as everypony else. Celestia’s cheeks puffed and grew red. “And you be careful, Skylord, that if you don’t watch your tongue you mate not be happy you might go back without it.” “Will it be stuck between your large bums?” he challenged. “She might not like that I won’t come back with it but she will do anything to retrieve it, even if its through you.” “Hey Spike?” leaned in and whispered Rainbow Dash. “You have any idea what your folks are saying? I don’t speak ‘dragonesse’.” Spike gave her a look before turning back to Celestia and his father who were still bickering between each other in draconic. They don’t really appear to be fighting but rather… Celestia seems to be angered for a different reason while his father had a grin that would make a Cheshire cat jealous. “I got every other word… a few that my father taught me… I only hear ‘large’, ‘sweets’, and ‘inside’.” Spike paused. “That’s about it.’ and realized that Sunset Shimmer was blushing furiously while still holding back giggles. “Sunset?” Sunset waved her hoof dismissively. “ Sorry… I’ll tell you later.” She spoke, still holding back her laugh. Celestia and Talonus still argued and it was a point that nopony knew what to do. “Anypony wanna head on outside before things start ta heat up?” Applejack whispered loudly enough for them to hear but not to break the two adults’ bickering. Everypony nodded. They stood up one by one and slowly, and casually began walking out the doors. Spike and Sunset were the last to leave, watching their parents continue to speak to each other… more or less as they kept approaching one to the point where Celestia took wing and hovered in front of Talonus face. They both knew that with the loud voices, the heated exchange and closeness, it meant only one thing. They quickly followed the others and ran outside. The door closed and that caused both parties to look towards the empty table. “Where did they all go?” asked Celestia. “I believe that they saw us arguing and decided a retreat.” Commented Talonus. “What… they thought we were fighting?” ‘Either that or were alerted to leave us in case things got… out of control?” Celestia wondered. “No matter, though I still believe that you owe me an apology for calling me fat.” “And why would I do that?” “Because I am a princess, you low life lizard!” she half yelled in the Canterlot voice. “And it is very disrespectful to insult a royal, especially if you are from another country or species! The dragon lord snorted. “Very well then.” Celestia raised an eyebrow, surprised at his quick change in attitude. Talonus cleared his throat and spoke, turning his voice into a mock of proper Cantorlot speaking. “We apologize for thou bottom in which thou ingests so many fattening sweets that it will in time, become so vastly large that we may plunder my wonder lance into its depths where we can breed you like a whorse in heat without the aid of shrinking my size and spill my seed unto thy flanks were they will perfectly match they coat.” Celestia’s mouth was wide open and the dragon had a smug grin. He spoke again with a normal voice now. “But I will not apologize that you do have a lovely body and that no matter how many sweets you do eat or your ass gets any huge, you will still be beautiful to my eyes as well as all of your ponies.” Celestia tried counter only for Talonus to lean in and gave her a ‘draconic kiss’ which was a lick to the muzzle. She only stuttered and her cheeks turned red before he gave a wink. “Come now… looks go look for our children and their friends.” Celestia gave a growl before turning to leave. As she left Talonus stared at her flank as she moved towards the door. “Nope, I will not apologize for that sexy ass.” Everypony was outside of the doors with each discussing their own thing. Spike and Sunset were close to one another while the girls were speaking to one another. When Celestia and Talonus came out, Talonus shrunk himself to fit through the doors; he then regrew to his size, though there was a bit of a grunt as his tail was still stuck. Princess Celestia approached Twilight. “Will you be heading back to Ponyville?” Twilight nodded, though looking a bit glum. “I think that Spike should have a last party before he… goes.” Celestia saw the sadness in her former student’s eyes, before bringing her close with her wings. “Worry not my, once faithful student. Spike won’t be gone for long. Just like you had all those many years ago, he has to explore his own path and find his purpose in life. Besides, I believe that he needs to learn of his origins. Maybe finally realize what it means to be a true dragon.” At that, Twilight gave a smile. “Wise as always, Celestia.” Celestia gave a small chuckle. “Years of practice. Decades of patience. A lifetime of perfection.” She then nuzzled her. “Something you will one day learn and surpass me even.” Twilight gave a smile and nod. She then turned back to her friends. “All right girls. Time to head back home and throw Spike a ‘Going away party!” Pinkie Pie, whom somehow brought out a party cannon from nowhere, fired it towards everyone and confetti and streams rained upon them with a banner, again from nowhere appeared, saying ‘Spike’s last party for a whole year and lives off with his birth family before returning home party.” Talonus leaned down towards Celestia. “How…?” “Don’t ask, don’t tell, not even I know much of how that mare works.” Celestia said with a smile. Though Talonus saw the smile, she seemed to sweat at knowing that if one where to ask how Pinkie Pie worked, they would most likely get a headache. He gave a grunt before turning to his son. “Spike?” Spike looked from the girls to his father. “Yes?” “When you return, make sure that it’s the most memorable memory you will carry with you. It maybe a long time for them but for you it will be but a moment. A dragon is almost as ageless as the Alicorns and you experience changes to yourself that might affect you when you return.” “Will it be that bad?” he asked, feeling a sense of worry. His father shook his head. “No, not bad, just life changing and some things that change you at home, will change here. So, spend the rest of the day enjoying everything your home and your friends have to offer. Don’t hold back feelings, don’t leave any regrets and make sure that when you leave, the feelings left behind are of smiles and not sadness.” Spike took in every word and gave a nod. “I will.” Talonus gave a small grin. “Good, now go. Go with your friends and enjoy your farewell party.” Spike eagerly nodded and walked back to the girls, as they began to get preparations ready. By near noon, the girls and Spike where all getting ready to board the train back to Ponyville. With Celestia and Talonus waiting for them to go, Sunset was also going to ‘personally’ say good bye to her ‘brother’. “I hope that when you return, you are a better dragon for it.” She spoke with a smile. “I think that returning home will do well for you, just like I hope it will do me. Maybe even learn some new lessons here.” “You will be learning a new lesson, Sunset.” Spoke out Celestia. “But they won’t be from me.” Confusion itched over Sunset’s face before fear and finally sadness washed over. Her heart fell and she was about to speak out, but Celestia silenced her with her wing. “I said you won’t be learning it from me. But you are still my daughter and that is something that will remain forever.” Sunset then turned confused again, as her mother let her speak. “What do you mean?” Celestia gave her the same warm smile she would give to so many others, but this one was motherly and so warm. Bringing her close, she spoke calmly yet loud enough for the others to hear. “I have tried to teach my ways and I failed.” Sunset was about to retort about ‘her failing her’ but Celestia silenced her again. “I have failed you because I didn’t teach you what you needed to learn and that is Friendship and the power it holds.” She gave her a small muzzle. “And I am not the one to teach that. That honor belongs to the Princess of Friendship.” Sunset’s eyes went wide before turning to Twilight, who gave her as warm of a smile as Celestia as well as the other’s standing by her and almost welcoming her to them. Sunset never felt so relieved and so heart filled in so long. For too long she felt that Celestia may never take her back, never allow her to finish her lessons and to never meet her full potential. If anything, just knowing that she still calls her daughter and allows her to continue her studies, it made everything all the better. “You have so much to learn Sunset and all you seek is Forgiveness from others, which you already have. What now you seek is to forgive yourself and use that as an Element in your studies. Spells, magic and enchantments come and go but the memories you share with your friends are forever. I think that since you returned, you might need to learn some new lessons. And with it, gain some friends and create a new destiny for yourself.” With that she gave Sunset a kiss on the forehead and brushed her off with her wings. Sunset smiled and quickly followed after Twilight and the others. The train horn blew, letting know of its departure soon. Spike would follow last, him being the biggest one, had to hunch a bit to enter the train before reclining his tail in as the door closed. Once inside, the train gave a final whistle before the screeching sound of the wheels worked forward and pushed the train forward. Spike and the others waved back towards Celestia and Talonus as the train began to rider further and further away. “Do you think it is wise to let your once ‘student’ take care of our daughter, to teach her where we have failed?” he asked. Celestia gave a warm smiled. “Of course I do. After all, Twilight wouldn’t have ascended if she wasn’t ready.” “And what of our son?” “… Spike will have to learn what it is to be a dragon.” She paused. “Something he tried to learn before but did not succeed on his quest.” The train disappeared around the corner, leaving the two. They both turned around and headed back to the castle. “And you trust me to take care of that?” he asked. There was some seriousness in his voice but nothing that caused her concern. “Shouldn’t I?” she replied, raising an eyebrow. Talonus paused, trying to find the right words. “You know that the only reason Sunset stayed the same is because she was born and raised by ponies before she left with us. She already knew what she was getting into when she became a part of my clan and my daughter.” He then looked straight ahead to the castle. “Spike however… was born with ponies but never experienced life as a dragon.” He looked down at her. “Something we both know is not the most… pleasant life.” They reached the gardens where all was empty; Celestia had ordered a few maids to set up tea and biscuits for her, while bringing a treat (A whole raw dead pig) for him and have the guards leave them be. Celestia dropped to sugar cubes into her, slowly stirring it while Talonus carved soft chunks of pig. Seeing this made her swallow her tea and sigh. “Your right, it is not the most… pleasant life.” Referring back to his previous statement. “It is not something many pony or even other species will even understand what it means to be what you are, but that could be said for other species.” “True,” he quipped. He tossed a chunk of pig into his maw. A few bites from his steel like teeth before he swallowed. “But our race is the most vicious, the most violent and some of the most dangerous species on this planet.” He looked at the rest of the pig before leaning his head back and dropping the rest of the pig carcass into his maw. The sickening crush of teeth against bones, made Celestia cringe a little. Years of practiced stopped her from throwing up every time the food was served. Decades to master discipline of not showing disgust and even centuries to not even show emotions to the food, especially when she slowly developed a taste for it. “Our methods are odd, our meals are harsh, we take care of our young but grow up to be greedy regardless, other sentient and non-sentient beings hate us and our magic is unstable.” He then turned to Celestia who seemed crest fallen. With a gentle lift of his talon, he moved her head to gave into his eyes. “With that said, I will raise him to be a dragon, but make sure he never forgets who he really belongs to. The ponies that raised him, for even if he were to live more millenniums without end he shall always carry with him, his true home and his true family. Family isn’t always family by blood, but by bond and gods forbid that I fail to teach him how to be a dragon and forget his family, I too should learn my on lesson. “I want my son back Celestia. His mother wants him back, his sister wants him back but most of all you need him to go and become something he was destined for. Just like you had planned for Twilight’s and if possible Sunset’s ascension, I want my son to ascend from his place. I want him to be a better Dragon Lord than I and I know that the only way he would be able to do that is if he had learned what other species see before he ascended. He was raised by ponies, and learned with and around other species as well and with that he will use that with him as a future Dragon Lord. He will know the needs of the many besides his own kind and learn what the difference between right and wrong when it comes to our races meeting. Spike has already earned his name here in the Pony lands; Crystal Empire savior, Assistant to the Princess of Friendship and he will one day gain his own last name outside of ‘Sparkle’ or ‘Sol’.” He moved his claw away and casted his eyes towards the horizon where the quiet town of Ponyville awaited their arrival. “Spike’s destiny is going to be harsh. His fate is planned but uncertain, he will see many trials, encounter big lose and I know that he might even hate us for what we have in store for him but I believe that he will be the one that can cross the line between Pony and Dragon. For two species to co-exist with one another without fear or malice. Spike Dran’gul, my son… will rise…” They both stared towards the distance where the barely visible smoke of the train was scene as it approached its destination. //-------------------------------------------------------// A mix of chaos(unedited) //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note So with the recent episode, this really threw me way off balance but at the same time, straightening a few things out. For one thing, now that we learned a bit more about dragons as well as another episode to feature soon(according to M.A Larson) i have no idea where to go with this other than forward. This one was done before the episode aired and was just sitting here. I honestly was going to publish that day but didn't. WHen i saw the episode late that Night, i didn't realize it was a dragon based episode so i paused any publishing of this story when i saw it. After, i realized that anything i had planned for this was not completely gone but threw me off direction. I had planned for this to be a 3 book series, with this one only having about 5 or 6 chaptes more, then continuing with the second book with 10 to 12 chapter then do a final book. THe first book is the intro and having the bulk of it humor and sex till the end before it got dark. After that, the books go really dark. Depending on how much people really like this series or if others want more, ill continue but at a slower bases to try and work the episode into the books without really changing the original storyline. Sorry for no edit but again, planned to published and edit but episode got in the way. A mix of chaos(unedited) Spike’s Life A mix of chaos The train arrived in the early afternoon with all the girls eager to get out and plan Spike’s farewell party. As soon as the train came to a screeching halt, all the girls except Sunset, ran out of the train and quickly began preparing for the party. Pinkie immediately began zipping through Ponyville, trying to involve just about everypony there. Applejack raced towards the farm to begin preparing that largest banquet possible and ask for any available help to set it up. Rarity immediately began constructing designs and banners for the farewell party. Fluttershy took off to prepare music and help in any way she could for the party and Rainbow Dash took off to send invites from Ponyville to Cloudsdale about the party. That left Twilight, Spike and Sunset at the train. “Spike, while we prepare your party, do you wanna kill time by showing Sunset around? We probably won’t be ready till the night time. Even with Pinkie Pie’s planning.” Spike gave a nod. “Sure… maybe get her used the familiar surroundings where she might be studying under you.” Sunset gave a smile and turned to Twilight. “That would be nice, though I can’t thank you enough for deciding to teach me what you know from Celestia.” Twilight gave her own smile. “I don’t know everything Sunset. I maybe an Alicorn but I didn’t gain all knowledge of the universe. Just what it means to be a friend and how to make them.” “Maybe that is all I need to know.” She gave a look around the small town and found her eyes wondering the sites. The town was simple and had an old theme that made it feel like a comfortable place to live in. “Well then,” commented Twilight. “While you two settle in, I’ll go make a list of the party. Make sure we have everything we need and so on.” Without another word, she disappeared in flash of purple. Sunset then sighed, an almost relieved sigh. Throughout the train ride, she seemed a bit on edge and she hid it well from the girls, but not Spike. “You okay?” “Huh… oh yeah. I guess…” “You sure?” She shook her head. “Before I was taken in by Celestia, I lived at an orphanage outside of Canterlot. I never knew my parents and I am not even sure where I came from. My life was simple and bleak at best, though when I first started to manifest my magic, my life turned around. I started creating fire spells before I even learned simple levitation. Small fires, heat, light or even illusionist spells came fast and simple, everything else came after. However, when one of the other orphans teased me about being a ‘fire starter’, I lost myself and nearly set the whole orphanage on fire.” “I think that my spell must have… been strong enough for Celestia to sense. If it weren’t for her, I think that… they would have kicked me out of the orphanage or maybe just throw me in jail.” “A little filly going to jail?” quipped Spike. “That would be a first.” “But it was almost made possible. The fact that my caretaker had a bigger heart than anypony else is the reason she kept me until help came…. That being Celestia. After that… my life changed.” Her gaze moved through the town as daily life buzzed around. Foals were playing through the streets, ponies past around shops, greeting everypony as family and it all seem so surreal. “I never have been to a town like this, let alone know what to do when I arrived in one. Everything is… calm. When…” She paused. “When I saw myself through the portal, I saw myself ruling all the lands and all of pony kind. Ponies would look at me with proud smiles and admiration, many would come miles around just to see me in all my glory.” “ALL HAIL GLOURIOUS PRINCESS SUNSET SHIMMER!!” Spike boomed. “WITNESS HER GREATNESS AND… VIRTUE AND… and what else?” he asked the last part being in a normal voice. Sunset giggled at Spike’s antics and gave him a nuzzle. “Nothing that I would need now. Though… maybe finding out how I am going to fit into this peaceful town here.” Spike gave a snort with smoke coming out of his nostrils. “Peaceful? Please… Ponyville is anything but normal. Heck we get attacked here like every other day.” Sunset gave him a look. “Yeah right.” She waved her hoof over the town. “There is no sign of anything bad that has happened and even if this place got attacked by something… not saying it would but there would be some kind of commotion to it or at least this place being abandoned.” Spike gave a sided nod. “Yeah that is true, though usually Twilight and the girls take care of it… roughly in 30 minutes or so. And if something does get damaged… well it is replaced quickly…” He paused. “Too Quickly…” “… What like… its replaced over night or something?” Spike didn’t answer though it did unnerve him to know that roughly the 30 minutes it took for Twi and the gang to finish taking care of a problem, something was damaged and then… it was fixed like the very next day. He didn’t really think about it too much if at all. He shook his head. “Anyways so yeah we get attacked roughly every other day, if not a monster from the Everfree forest then something somewhere else happens and this town is the target.” He scanned his eyes for the ponies passing by. “Ask anypony here and they will tell you a story or two about what has happened within the last week or so?” “And what has happened in the last week or so that would cause damage to this place yet no signs of any property damage is seen?” Spike thought about it. “Well, we had the return of the Bug Bear again… though it only ruined one house, an Ursa Major recently gave birth so the baby wondered around here and trampled a few houses before the mother came by to pick it up and take it back.” He sat on his haunches and used his claws to count. “We had a neighbor blow up the windows of every house within a few blocks with her new base cannon, a traveling show mare caught fire to a hay-wagon with her fireworks, Discord accidently unleashed the Smooze again, Timberwolves were seeking some game near—“ “Wait Discord?” asked Sunset. “The Discord? As in… God of Chaos, Master of Disharmony and Crazy Mix-match Frankenstein weirdo, of a thing, Discord? I thought he was locked up in stone?” Spike was about to answer but was cut off by a sudden, eerily familiar and humorous laugh. He sighed heavily. “Damn…” Was all he got before a huge puff of pink exploded right in from of them. Sunset screamed and jumped back… while Spike just casually blinked at the entrance of the Draconequus. “Now Sunset dear, I wouldn’t so much be called a ‘Frankenstein’ as he was a corpse made of different corpses and brought to life by lightning, but the Mix match and the titles are all a nice little touch.” Sunset was terrified beyond anything as the creature of nightmares stood(hovered) before her. Thinking she was about to be attacked, she turned to Spike hoping he would run but instead, he stood there, calmly and looked up at Discord with bored eyes. He didn’t seem tense at all though his tail was twitching left and right as if anticipating something. “What do you want Discord?” he said nonchalantly. “Don’t you know not to do that to every new guests that come here? Hasn’t Fluttershy already told you that?” Discord gave a small grin. “Yes she did but… ahh, I can’t help myself every time a new guests arrive and is told of my presence only to say my name I appear right in from of them. The excitement of getting to do that is becoming less and less now that more ponies across Equestria know of my reformation. Not to mention, I gotta keep my tittle anyhow.” Sunset stared between them, wondering what is going on. Why wasn’t Discord causing chaos? Why wasn’t Spike running in fear? “Ahh… it seems poor Sunset here needs a clue,” he pulled out a question mark. “as to why you’re not freaking out and running or screaming.” Spike turned to Sunset who still seemed puzzled and less frightful though cautious, about the interaction between the too. “You okay?” he asked, approaching the mare. Slowly, she got back up and nodded, though her gaze remained on the Draconequus before her. “Take it in, take it in why don’t you? See the fabulous-ness of the almighty Discord!” With that, a stage appeared and the sound of a ‘crowd’ cheered as Discord walked around the stage, doing different poses and giving kisses to the said ‘invisible crowd’. Sunset was losing her fear but not her feeling in her gut. It was odd, knowing that here was an evil god, casually here in this peaceful town, yet nothing was in ruins. Twilight and the girls were not here to stop him, the ponies behind him either stared at his antics and walked away or ignored him completely. Spike continued to stare at him, though his expression looked bored, almost as if he already knows him long enough that he got tired of his act. Spike sighed at turned to her. “Sorry should have warned you. Discord here, formal ‘Evil Chaos Overload’ has been reformed. Almost a decade ago, after Twilight turned him to stone again, Celestia hoped to reform him and turn him to good. Didn’t work out at first but then, Fluttershy changed him and now… well, he is not ‘Evil’ or an ‘Overload’ but he still causes chaos or liked to hassle every pony now and then. Though he is annoying all the time, he has helped us save Equestira a few times…” He snorted. “Very few times.” “Oh I am touched Spike. Here I thought you would say nothing but negative things about me to your marefriend here.” “He is still a pain in the tail sometimes, though.” “Ouch.” Mocked Discord. “Well there goes the fun wagon.” Sunset had ignored Spike’s quip rather focused on how Discord knew that she was his marefriend, let alone know that they were together.” “Don’t you have to meet Fluttershy or Pinkie for the party or something?” Discord put a claw on his chin. “Party?” he asked almost as if he didn’t know, almost. “Aw yes! Your little going away party! The party where you are leaving us! Party of your departure. You, little Spike, having a party, because you are going back home with your daddy! That party!” Spike gave a snort before looking around. “Where the hay is Screwball when you need her?” He asked either to himself or to Discord, Sunset couldn’t tell. “She is usually a lot more bearable then you are.” Spike stopped looking and turned to Discord. “At least she is funny.” Suddenly Discord mocked a faked a gasp before he clutched his chest. “No! It cannot be! My own… she has… forsaken me!” An eerie musical tone played as Discord dramatically posed. “Screwball! My creation!” A short 'pomp' was heard when a pink mare with swirly eyes, purple and white mane with a beanie propeller hat appeared right in front of them. “Yes daddy?” “It is true?” he begged. “Is it true that you are now more funnier then me?!” Screwball tilted her head. “I shouldn't be?” The two began to bicker back and forth with one another while Spike threw in his own quip now and then. Her voice was like that of a filly and Sunset had a extremely hard time believing that this...'filly' was Discord daughter. Though he did say creation, did he make her or is she flesh and blood? Or whatever Draconequuses where made of… Draconequuii? “Gesundheit!” spoke Screwball. Sunset realized the bickering stopped and Screwball stood(hovered) right in front of her, causing Sunset to jump back in fear. “What's with everypony doing that?!” she yelled, trying to calm herself. “Screwball does it to get inside of your head, literally but she finds some rather interesting stuff in there.” commented Discord. “She might be my daughter, but when she looks into new ponies, she figures them out quickly. Screwball hovered in front of her, giving her a smile. “You look just like a Phoenix!” “A Phoenix?” questioned Sunset, looking to Spike who gave a shrug before turning to Discord. “Screwball here evaluated the best of a pony's character to those who are either lost or misplaced. She is my daughter and carries by traits but unlike my chaos, her chaos is finding it in others or finding none of it at all.” “Meaning?” “You are a Phoenix. Wild, uncontrolled, holding back regrets, filled with emotions and raw power. You have so much potential and your just waiting for your rebirth so that you can become a better being so to speak. Like Twilight, she was reborn as an Alicorn to become the Embodiment of Magic, Same with Luna as the Moon, Celestia as the Sun, and even I. We all had to wait until we were reborn to become what we are now.” Sunset didn't know what to say at this point. So, was it still possible she might still have a chance of a possible ascension? The thought was dissipated when Discord's alarm clock(an actual wooden coo-coo clock on his arm,) started crying out. “Oh that is our cue to go, screwy. We best not be late!” “Right daddy!” Discord turned to Sunset and he lifted his top hat? “Well wish to stay in chat but we both got a gig to get too!” “You have a gig?” asked Sunset. Spike filled in before Discord. “Yeah he does. He actually has a group of ponies that worship him openly. 'Sons of Mayhem', they're called. Bunch of nut jobs that actually want Discord to cause chaos, but with humor and not any harm. You can think of it as a really bad 'stand up' comedy. There is roughly 99 members. They went by different name, 'Sons of Anarchy'...” “That was taken and trademarked so couldn't use that one.” commented Discord. “Anarchy 99...” “That one too...” “Misfits...” “That's a band.” “And so on, but in the end, they choose Sons of Mayhem. Bunch of idiots with nothing better to do with their lives.” “Ohh again with the insults, Spike. Either the writer is making you say it or you really, really hate us.” Spike gave a snort. “Just you. Again, Screwball actually makes us laugh, you just try to make something funny but dosen't really work.” he turned to Screwball. “I hope that maybe you can teach your dad some real good jokes.” Discord grumbled and Screwball giggled. “I'll try but I think he wants to do his own. Maybe you can think of jokes and if he laughs, maybe you can replace him!” Spike gave a half snort, half laugh. “That will be the day.” With that he lifted his palm, turned to a fist and she gave him a 'hoof-bump'. “Yes, that will be the day.” mumbled Discord before quickly grabbing Screwball and waving. “Well, have fun you two. Enjoy the party and I will see you before you leave. Ta, ta!” Screwball waved 'goodbye' before the two 'popped' out of existence. Sunset had remained quiet most of the time and it didn't really dawn unto Spike till now. “You okay” She inhaled a bit. “That was the weirdest moment of my life.” she stated simply in a monotone voice. “And I walked in on father while he was on top of your mother… your dragon mother… and maybe he was ontop of your other mother too.” she paused and rubbed her head. “Dad is a real horn dog.” Spike gave a scoff. “Isn't that normal for dragons, seeing other dragons mating?” “Yes but I was young pony and seeing two other species going at it was either weird or disturbing. I didn't really start to get used to until after 'mother' explained it to me.” Spike didn't respond. Whenever 'mother', came about, he always pictured Celestia, but when mentioned he had a second mother or in this case his 'biological mother', he drew a blank. “I honestly don't know how she looks like,” Spike commented off softly. “...let alone what am I supposed to be looking at. I keep trying to think of one, my mother is either a quadruped, purple scales like me or dad, or something else. When I went to the dragon migrations, I saw all kinds of dragons, I couldn't really tell at the time, which were males and females, other than the obvious bullies that I encountered. But… I didn't know which ones could be females. So whenever my dragon mother came up I draw a blank...” He looked really saddened to think about it, and it made Sunset feel worse knowing that he grew up not seeing his mother. Sunset was lucky to have two moms, knowing both cared for her in each way. They each displayed their own affections for her in their own way and despite the near decade long gap between them, Celestia still cared for her in everyway that is her daughter. Spike didn't want to think of it any longer, seeing as how this time tomorrow, he would be leaving to see her. Just a day less and Ill be seeing her, he thought. With that, he walked on with Sunset as the two explored the rest of the town. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter ??? //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter ??? So this is not an actual chapter but rather a short thing i decided to add for now. So, i have been debating this for the better part of the year whether to continue. THE ONLY reason this had died was because of the new dragon episode in Season 6. It threw me off so hard and so fast that i had to recalculate what i was to do with this. In some way, its my fault for not continuing on despite the shows case of dragons and make these series not follow it. Another thing that stopped me was a potential interests in Spike's future, with the introduction of Ember. I hadn't anticipated that with the show so i felt as though i could make one for myself. That also being that now that season 7 is approaching, i would go with this on my own series and let The Dragon Lord's Consort follow the show. Now, i am not sure if i will continue this or not. I have a chapter being written up for the time being but how it turns out is really what will make this go on. Also, if i can actually find more support for this, maybe i will push it forward. So for now, keep your eyes for the future and may your hopes fly high!
