Pink
Dangerously Close
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe next morning, Twilight awoke with a yawn and opened her eyes. Blinking a few times to get her vision back, she looked over to see the pink mare asleep beside her. Smiling, she just lay there and kept her eyes on the earth pony. After a few minutes, the pink mare's eyes slowly opened. Seeing the unicorn watching her, she smiled and let out a yawn of her own.
"Morning," the pink mare said as she stretched her arms above her head, sitting up and letting out a sigh. "You sleep well?" She asked, placing her hands on the bed and looking over her shoulder at the unicorn.
Twilight smiled up at her and sat up as well. "Best I've slept in a while."
Chuckling, the pink mare slid off the bed and stood up, stretching again. "I can't imagine why..." she said sarcastically.
Twilight smiled and climbed out of bed, too. "It was amazing to sleep next to someone," she said, moving around to Pinkie's side of the bed. "More amazing that it was with you--" She stopped suddenly when she saw a bandage on the mare's ankle. "Uh, what's that?" She asked, pointing. "That wasn't there last night..."
"Hmm?" Asked Pinkie, before looking down at her ankle. "Oh, that?"
7 Hours Earlier...
An orange mare ran into her kitchen and slammed the door shut. Panting heavily with tears streaming her face, the mare ran to the counter and pulled a knife from the magnetic knife holder on the wall. Turning around and holding her knife out, she let out a gasp when she saw the kitchen door open.
Going wide-eyed, she slowly made her way around the counter in the center of the room to see if the mare was hiding behind it. As she approached it, she was rushed from behind. Letting out a yelp, she stumbled into the wall and fell to the floor, dropping the knife.
Rolling onto her back, she looked up to see the pink mare standing above her, completely naked. The pink mare smiled down at her before placing her foot on the mare's face.
"I would so love to force you to lick my feet but I have a girlfriend to get back to..." Pinks cooed. "So, I'll just end this now..."
She then moved her foot off the mare's face and pressed it to her neck, choking her. The orange mare choked and gasped for air as she tried to pull the foot off her neck.
"Just let it happen..." Pinkie cooed, pressing harder.
The orange mare looked to her right to see the knife. Quickly grabbing it, she swiped at Pinkie's leg, cutting her ankle. Letting out a grunt, the pink mare pulled her foot away before kicking the mare's hand. When the mare dropped it, Pinkamena knelt down on her chest and grabbed the knife.
"Fine... This is how you wanna die?" Asked Pinkie, before holding the blade by the mare's throat.
"P-Please, don't..." begged the mare, tears streaming her cheeks. "I don't wanna die..."
"Not your choice," Pinkie cooed darkly, before jamming the knife into the mare's neck.
As the mare coughed up blood and blood sprayed from the wound, Pinkie's face became covered. Closing her eyes, she let the blood wash over her before opening her mouth. Feeling some land on her tongue, she let out a moan. Slowly standing up, she pulled the knife from the dead mare's throat before looking herself over. Her breasts and belly had blood splattered all over them.
Licking the blood off the knife, she headed upstairs to use the bathroom to get cleaned up.
Now...
Pinkamena looked up from her ankle. "I got up around midnight to go check on Scootaloo. As I was heading up the stairs I scraped it on a piece of wood that was sticking out."
"Ouch," Twi said, looking at the ankle again. "Does it hurt?"
"I've had worse..." the mare cooed, before walking up to Twilight and putting her arms around her. "You gonna be good on your own today?" She asked with a smile. "I need to run the shop."
Twilight nodded and held the pink mare's hips. "I should be just fine..."
Pinkamena gave her a kiss on the lips before gathering her clothes and getting dressed. Watching the mare get her clothes back on, she sat on the bed. Her eyes fell on the pink mare's bandage on her ankle, wondering if it hurt. When Pinkie was dressed, she gave Twilight a wink before leaving the bedroom.
Smiling as she watched Pinkamena leave, Twilight let out a sigh and stood up. Gathering her clothes, she headed into the bathroom to get freshened up. Once she was cleaned and dressed, she left the library to search around town for clues.
Pinkamena entered Sugarcube Corner as Scootaloo ran up to her and hugged her.
"You're back," she said with a smile.
Kneeling down, Pinkie hugged back. "Sure am. I just have to take a shower and then I can open shop. I'm assuming you're heading out, as usual?"
Scoots nodded before letting go and taking a step back. "There's a new trick I wanna try that I thought up last night."
"Oh, a new trick, huh?" The mare asked with a smirk. "Nothing too dangerous, I hope. Hate to see you get hurt."
"I'll be careful," Scoots said excitedly, her wings fluttering.
Pinkamena hesitated for a second before hugging the filly with her right arm. "Just be careful, sweetie..."
"I will, Pinkie..." the filly said, before pulling away. "See ya!" She said with a wide smile, running out of the building.
Smiling at the filly's excitement, Pinkie stood up with a sigh. "So cute..." she cooed, before looking at the stairs, leading up to the bedrooms. After hesitating for a moment, she turned and made her way into the kitchen.
Twilight let out a sigh as she made her way away from the library and towards the market. "Alright..." she said to herself, nervously. "Time to investigate..."
It didn't take long for something to happen. As she neared the market, Rarity came running over to her.
"Twilight!" She called to her, waving a hand and looking frightened.
"Oh, no..." Twilight groaned, knowing what this was about. Quickly walking over to her, the white mare stopped in front of her, panting.
"There's been another murder," Rarity stated.
"I figured..." Twilight said, rubbing the back of her neck. She didn't want to see another body, but she knew it was her job. "Where?"
"Over there," Rarity said, pointing. "You'll know the house when you see it. There's a guard waiting for you."
Looking to where the mare pointed, Twilight nodded with a deep breath. "Alright..."
"Shall I get Pinkie for you?" Rarity asked, making Twilight blush. "I know you feel safer with her around."
"She's busy with the shop..." Twi said, before looking at the unicorn. "Can you see if Applejack's available?"
"I saw her in the market," Rarity said, turning and leaving to go track down the earth pony. "I'll let her know you're asking for her!" She called back.
"Thanks!" Twilight yelled, before making her way towards the crime scene. "Why me?" She asked herself.
After sticking to her current path, she finally found the house with a dark blue female bat pony night guard. When the guard saw Twilight, she gave a light smile.
"Twilight," she said, sounding unhappy that she had to be the one to deliver the bad news.
"Night Breeze?" Asked Twilight, before smiling lightly. "Shouldn't you be asleep?"
"Yes," Breeze said with a soft yawn. "But, the body was found last night during my shift... So, I had to stay here for you."
"Oh," Twilight said, before eyeing the door to the house. "I may have Applejack joining me on this..." she said, before looking at the guard. "Is a day guard coming to relieve you?"
"Soon..." Breeze replied.
Twilight gave her a pat on the shoulder before stepping in front of the door. Taking a deep breath, she placed her hand on the the doorknob and opened the door. Stepping in, she went wide-eyed. On the left was the kitchen and on the right was a staircase leading to the top floor. On the left wall was a doorway that led to the living room. A trail of blood drops led from the kitchen to the staircase.
"Oh, damn..." the unicorn gasped.
As she stared at the blood, she heard a voice behind her.
"Halt," Breeze said tiredly. "Oh, wait... Applejack? You can go in..."
"Thank you," the earth pony said, before stepping in and closing the door. "Twilight?"
The unicorn looked over her shoulder at her. "Thanks for coming."
"Damn..." AJ said as she stepped up beside Twilight. "You ready for this?"
"I have to be..." was all Twilight said before she made her way towards the kitchen. Stepping inside, she took a deep breath before turning to her left. The mare's body lay on the floor, a large gash in her neck. Tilting her head, Twilight crossed her arms. "Huh... I was expecting something... messier..."
Giving a confused look, Applejack joined her in the kitchen to see the body for herself. "We either have two killers in Ponyville... or we have one killer who decided to make this one quick..."
"I don't wanna think about two..." Twilight said as she eyed the blood trail.
Leaving the kitchen, she followed the trail up the stairs with Applejack following close behind. When they got to the top floor, they followed the trail past the bedroom and to the bathroom.
"So, the killer killed and washed off in the shower..." Twilight pointed out. "Whoever it was probably got naked to avoid getting blood on their clothes and then came up to wash the blood off."
"That's pretty clever," AJ added. "No stains on the clothes... No evidence..."
Twilight turned and went back to the bedroom, looking in. The bed sheets were thrown about and the bedside table was knocked over. "There was a fight in here..."
"A fight?" Asked AJ, walking up behind her. "But the body's in the kitchen..."
After thinking for a moment, Twilight turned to face Applejack. "She was awoken in the middle of the night by the killer and fought back. She must've run to the kitchen the grab a knife to fight back."
"And then the killer used that knife to cut her throat?" AJ asked.
"Possibly..." Twi said, thinking some more. "So, maybe the killer has some bruises or some... cuts..." she said, thinking about the bandage on Pinkie's leg. Eyeing Applejack, she made her way back towards the stairs.
"What?" Asked the earth pony, quickly following her. "What is it?"
"All the other killings were gruesome, right?" Asked Twilight. "This one is nothing in comparison. So, what's changed?"
"I don't follow," Applejack said as they got to the bottom of the stairs.
Stopping, Twilight turned to face her. "What's changed in the past couple days?"
Applejack thought for a moment, crossing her arms. "The only thing I can think about is... you..."
"Exactly..." Twi said, thinking. She didn't want to pin the blame on Pinkie just yet in case she was innocent. "This has something to do with me..." She then made her way back outside and stood in front of the guard.
"Breezy," she said plainly. "When was the body discovered?"
"Around one in the morning, Twilight," the guard replied. "Why?"
Twilight shook her head. "Just thinking..." she said, thinking back to what Pinkie had said: I got up around midnight to go check on Scootaloo. As I was heading up the stairs I scraped it on a piece of wood that was sticking out. She then looked at Applejack, who was leaning against the door frame. "I think I can take it from here. Thanks for the assist."
"No problem," AJ replied with a smile. "Glad I could help. And, it sounds like you're on to something..."
"Maybe..." Twi muttered. "I'm not sure..."
Nodding, Applejack started to head back towards the market. "Let me know if you need help with anything else."
"Will do," Twi called to her, before looking at Night Breeze. "I think I'm done in there..."
The guard nodded. "I'll let my replacement know and we can begin the... clean-up process..." she said, sounding upset by the unfortunate turn of events.
Twi gave her a light smile and put a hand on her shoulder. "I hope you're able to sleep well tonight... You're one of the hardest-working night guards I know."
Breeze gave her a tired smile. "Thanks, Twilight..."
Twilight smiled back before leaving, making her way towards Sugarcube Corner.
Pinkamena ran her hands through her long hair as the shower water washed over her. Eyes closed with a smile, she licked her lips with a light moan. Thinking about Twilight naked, she pressed her breasts to the wall of the shower and slid her hand between her legs. Rubbing furiously, she moaned out and slammed her free hand against the wall. "Fuck!" She grunted.
Turning around, she pressed her back to the wall and slid into a seated position, gripping her breast with her left hand while still quickly rubbing with her right hand. As she sped up a little, she let out sharp gasps of pleasure as she finally reached an orgasm. Panting heavily, she stayed seated as she just thought about Twilight.
As Twilight neared the sweet shop, she saw the orange filly setting up a ramp, her helmet resting on her scooter. "Scootaloo," she said with a smile, approaching the filly.
Looking over, the young pegasus smiled. "Twilight. Hey."
"Hey, can I ask you a question?" Twi asked, kneeling in front of the filly.
Scootaloo gave a nod of approval. "Sure. Anything."
"Alright..." Twi started, clearing her throat. "Did Pinkie visit you last night to check on you?"
The filly nodded with a smile. "Oh, yeah. She wanted to make sure I was okay by myself."
"And... did she cut her ankle on the stairs?"
Scoots shrugged. "She already had a bandage on her ankle."
"She already had a bandage on?" The unicorn asked, her heart rate increasing as she was starting to become afraid that her lover was the killer.
"Though, my bedroom is on the top floor..." Scoots continued. "So, it's possible."
Letting out sigh, Twilight nodded. "Good... Okay..."
"Wait..." the filly said, tilting her head. "Am I being interrogated?" She then let out a gasp. "You don't think Pinkie did it, do you?"
Twilight hesitated as she stared at the filly. She then sighed and shook her head. "I'm just... following up on some leads... I don't what's going on, but... it sounds like Pinkie's innocent..."
"Good," Scootaloo said as she put her helmet on. "Because she's the nicest pony I've ever met. Now, I'd like to practice my new trick, if that's okay."
"Oh, sure..." Twilight said, standing up with a light chuckle. "Carry on." As the filly grabbed her scooter, Twilight turned her gaze to Sugarcube Corner.
Thinking for a moment, she began heading towards the building. As she did, Scootaloo watched as the unicorn stepped up to the front door and opened it. Entering the building, Twilight looked around. The store was empty due to the sign reading Closed. Looking at the stairs, she made her way over to them, careful not to make any noise. As she got closer, she could hear the shower running upstairs.
Getting to the stairs, she looked them all over before spotting something on the bottom right section. A piece of wood seemed to be missing. Leaving the stairs, she crossed her arms in thought. It looked like Pinkie may have actually cut her ankle on the stairs and pulled out the wood shard to prevent someone else from cutting themselves. Probably to make sure Scootaloo didn't get hurt.
As she was about to leave, she looked over to her right to see a doorway which probably led to the shop's basement. Hesitating with her hand on he doorknob, she thought about whether or not to go check it out. Her investigative mind soon took over and she left the door, making her way over to the door and trying the doorknob. Locked.
Knowing Pinkie could be out of the shower at any moment, she knew she didn't have time to try and break the lock. Letting out an annoyed sigh, she turned and made her back towards the door. When she left, she made her way back towards the market.
As she did, Scootaloo watched her leave before taking her helmet off. After setting it down on her scooter, she made her way inside Sugarcube Corner. Once in, she headed up to the second floor and approached the bathroom door. Suddenly, the door opened as Pinkamena stepped out, wearing a bathrobe. Spotting the filly, she smiled and knelt down.
"What's up, Scoot?" She asked.
"It's Twilight..." the filly said. "She's acting weird."
"Weird?" Asked the mare, tilting her head. "How so?"
"She was asking me about what you did last night. It's like she thinks you're the killer."
Pinkamena hesitated in thought before letting out a chuckle. "Me? A killer?"
Scootaloo began to chuckle, too. "I know, right? You're the nicest pony I know."
"Or, maybe I'm only acting nice and I'm secretly a psychotic killer," Pinkie said darkly with a smirk.
The filly chuckled some more at that. "Yeah, that doesn't sound like you."
"I wouldn't worry about it, Scoots," Pinks cooed. "Twilight's new at this whole detective thing. I bet she'll feel rather silly when she finds the real killer."
Scootaloo nodded and gave her a hug. "I'm glad you aren't mad. Twilight seems nice."
Pinks hugged back and smiled. "Oh, she is. Now, go out and have some fun. Work on that trick you mentioned."
The filly giggled and took off downstairs. "See ya later!" She called back.
The pink mare smiled and stood up. When the filly was gone, her smile faded and she crossed her arms. After tapping her foot a few times, she headed towards her bedroom to get dressed.
