She breathed a sigh of relief, (she hadn't been followed). She looks around at the forest and then up to the silver moon shining overhead. The moon was full and its light bathed the forest in a dreamlike glow sending a calm over the face of wary mare.

She sighs sadly and an amulet shimmers and glows into existence around her neck. She leans against the trunk of a tree as she opens the locket and  music begins to play.

You're a whisper of a summer breeze

You're the kiss that puts my soul as ease

A wisp of magic comes out and surrounds her like a blanket of silken air. The sparkling pink cloud covers her for a few seconds and then disappears leaving behind a small white alicorn foal with pastel hair barely as big as a newborn. She raises her over-sized wings and lifts herself just  two feet into the air, with a gasp she tumbles unto the cold forest floor. Feathers mix with blood as she examines her injured wings. She shakes out her curly mane and pulls a wand out of thin air, opening a gauge. She touches the wand to her horn and reads the gauge, which is just border-lining empty.

She sighs and the wand disappears. "Not yet." she whispers her soft voice frail and breaking. She stumbles in her attempt to stand, but only falls. With a defeated sigh she curls up into the hollow of a nearby tree and  falls asleep listening to the sound of the wind and the voices of the owls hooting through the night.
