The Truth and Poker Night

October 15, 2552 0900 hours

Viper woke up, feeling some weight on his left arm. When he looked up, he saw his daughter sleeping on his side, holding onto his arm. Viper noticed that Molestia and Nightmare Moon were gone. He internally groaned, since he had to tell his team and his two marefriends about how he has a daughter, and on top of that, he has to explain how his daughter knew Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Nightmare’s names when they meet for the first time.

As Viper got up, he put his daughter on the bed and covered her with the blanket and put his skin tight suit on, and headed towards the armory to have his armor put back on. When he started walking to the armory, he saw ponies, ranging from fillies and colts to mares and stallions, were interacting with the civilians and soldiers of the base.

When he was informed of the situation about the weapons factory, he was furious and smashed his fist into a wall, leaving a huge dent in the wall. He watched as both humans and ponies interacted by helping out with the base or the ponies helping with moving injured soldiers and tending to them. He just shook his head and went to get his armor on.

After he got his armor on, which gave him some comfort since he spent eight years wearing it, Viper headed towards his team’s room and was met by a fist to the face. Viper staggered a bit and looked up to see a pissed off Nightmare Moon and Molestia, along with his team, albeit with curiosity on how Viper was a father.

"What the hell was that for?" Viper asked her.

"That’s because you had sex with another mare... I mean woman!" Nightmare Moon yelled at him.

"Look, I never had sex… with… another... woman,” Viper said slowly as he realized how he has a daughter.

"Oh God, I can't believe that happened," Viper said as he remembered what happened.

"What do you mean by that?" Blake asked.

"Do you remember that bar on Paris IV on February 2, 2548, and I met that twenty two year old brunette named Janelle?" Viper said.

"Yeah, why do you ask?" Brandon asked until the answer hit him and the rest of the team like a Warthog.

"Oh my god, you had sex with her!" Callie yelled as the others went wide eyed. Andrew and Ryan were confused, since they joined his team in 2550.

"What does she mean by that?" Andrew asked Viper.

"*sigh* well in 2548, I asked Colonel Holland if me and my team could leave the base for a week, before you two arrived," Viper said as he pointed to Andrew and Ryan. "He said we could, just that we couldn't leave the system. So after buying fake I.D cards, we went into a bar that was pretty close to our base. Anyway, when we all went our separate ways, I stayed near the bar, I met Janelle, the daughter of the local police chief," Viper said as the team went slack jawed.

"As we started talking to each other, I started to buy her and myself drinks, until we couldn't think straight. Then she started to kiss me, and I started to grope her, and I took her to the hotel room that I paid for and.... well, you know the rest," Viper said as he remembered Janelle.

"What happened after that?" Marcus asked him.

"After our little intimate time with each other, I woke up early and left her seventy-five thousand credits and a note saying that if she does get pregnant, take the money and get off world to stay ahead of the Covenant. If my daughter is here and not her, that means she didn't make it," Viper said with a tinge of sadness in his voice, feeling like he couldn't save her.

"So what are you going to do now, since your daughter’s here?" Brandon asked as he twirled his knife in his hands.

"Well first I'm going to check up on my daughter, and her name is Maria, and two is to see what we can do about getting her some new clothes," Viper said before leaving.

The team shook their heads, with the exception of Ryan, Andrew, Nightmare Moon and Molestia.

"Great, just what we need, a super soldier who is also a single father, this day just got better," Blake said with sarcasm oozing from his words.

"What do you mean by that?" Nightmare Moon asked him.

"You see, Viper has a soft spot for kids, and he goes berserk when a covenant elite or jackal or brute hurts one, and he kills them in the most unimaginable and painful way possible," Jaeden said as the team shuddered at Viper’s rage.

"We saw it on an inner colony that we don't know the name anymore, he went so berserk that he killed an entire Covenant army with that katana of his, when he received word that an orphanage was under siege by them. Ever since that day, we heard elites and grunts whisper his name and nicknamed him 'the blood stained human’," Callie said as the dark side of Celestia and Luna took in the information they got.

After that, the two left to find Viper and his daughter, since Viper didn't tell them where he's going or when he's coming back.

Meanwhile in Ponyville

Matthew was helping Twilight and her four friends throw Pinkie Pie a surprise party for her birthday. As Matthew kept an eye on Pinkie Pie, he noticed that her mane and tail were starting to straighten out and her usually bright pink color was starting dull. Curious, he decided to see why she's looking like that. As he entered the bakery that Pinkie Pie worked at, she went into her room, carrying a sack of flour, a bucket of rocks, and some party hats.

When he went to her room, with the Cakes’ permission, Matthew saw that Pinkie was going crazy when she started to use inanimate objects for her party. He immediately went to her and tried to talk to her.

"What do you want? Aren’t you supposed to be with my so called 'friends’?" Pinkie Pie said to Matthew as he sat by Pinkie.

"Pinkie, Twilight and the other are still your friends," Matthew said as carefully as possible, so he doesn't upset the party pony.

"If they are my friends, then why are they avoiding me?" Pinkie asked, pointing her finger at him.

"Because they are planning something special for you, but I can't say anything," Matthew said as he raised his hands up. This got Pinkie’s attention.

"What do you mean by that?" Pinkie asked him.

"I can't say it, but it’s something big just for you," Matthew said. Pinkie went back to her old self when he said that. Pinkie asked where her party was at and Matthew said it was at Sweet Apple Acres. She grabbed his hand and dragged him to the orchard, unaware that something was watching their every movement from a sniper scope.

The mysterious person was about to fire until the person’s radio turned on.

"Not yet, we need them alive, until their usefulness is done. Then you can kill them," The lady over the radio said as the figure disappeared from sight.

Back at the base

Nightmare Moon and Molestia were wandering the base for Viper, until they bumped into him, who was holding his daughter.

"Sorry, she had a nightmare," Viper said as he carried Maria into his room as the two alicorns followed him in. Viper set his daughter onto his bed and pulled his blanket over her.

"Okay, that's out of the way. I'm guessing that you want to know how she knew your name?" Viper asked Nightmare Moon as she nodded.

"Well, in the twenty first century, Lauren Faust created a tv show called 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’," Viper said as he started to tell them about the show and the characters, mainly Twilight and her friends. Nightmare Moon and Molestia soaked in the information they were receiving, including about Molestia being a fanmade rejected character that came from a comic.

When Viper was done, Nightmare Moon asked Viper, "So we're just animated characters for young kids?" She asked.

"Look, even though the tv show made you look like it came out of fiction, you are the real thing and that’s what matters to me, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take a nap," Viper said as he went into his bed and nodded off. Nightmare Moon and Molestia just looked at him before heading back to the nursery, his sentence still fresh in their minds.

Later...

Viper woke up a few hours ago and got something to eat before heading to the rec room for a game night that Callie asked for last week. As he approached, Viper saw Trixie, Zecora, Nightmare Moon, Molestia, Queen Chrysalis, Arachia, Rusty, and Parker entering the rec room. As Viper entered, he saw his team setting up a huge poker table and a lot of poker chips being put up.

"What's going on here?" Viper asked Callie.

"We're having a poker game, Viper," Callie giggled as everypony and everyone present sat down around the table.

"Okay, we're going to play strip poker. If you lose all of your chips, you can leave and watch, or remove one of your articles of clothing and get five hundred credits in poker chips. And no cheating, Nightmare Moon and Molestia," Marcus said, looking at the alicorns, who raised their hands in the air. As they started, with Brandon shuffling the cards, Viper sighed. This was going to be a long night.

Four hours later

After four hours of playing, and a lot of clothes and armor being put into a pile, the game started to get serious. The mares had their bras and panties on, while the Spartans and single Centurion had their skin tight suits. Viper tried to hold himself as he kept smelling something that was similar to blueberries and strawberry cheesecake.

'God damn it Nightmare Moon and Molestia, stop fanning your scent, it's driving me crazy!' Viper thought as he looked at his cards, unaware that Marcus, Parker, and Rusty were dealing with the same thing as him. For Marcus, he smelled an earthly scent from a recent downpour from Chrysalis, Rusty smelled Cherry Blossom and Rose from Arachnia and Trixie. Finally Parker smelled herbs that Zecora used for a perfume she would sell to the ponies. Viper knows that a human male can withstand having sex, but eventually that man will snap.

Eventually, that breaking point came too early when the mares removed their panties and the smell increased in intensity, driving the four men insane. The four are trying to resist the smell until the game is over. But fate decided to be a jackass and the mares’ scent pushed them to the deep end and each of them grabbed their respective marefriends, some of them squealing in delight and in surprise, as they started to kiss each other and went to different locations as they were going to have the best night of their lives.

Back with the others, they all stared at the door that the four men went through until Blake turned to Callie and said, "You owe me thirty credits."
