"C'mon, guys! I don't want to miss the show!" A rainbow-maned Pegasus took turns pulling each of her friends, or pushing, to the Wonderbolt arena.
A purple-maned Alicorn was not amused as her over-excited friend pushed her from behind. "Rainbow! We're a half-hour early and we're the only ponies coming!" she yelled causing her to stop her efforts.
"Oh, yeeaah! Thanks for being a Princess of Friendship again, Twilight!" Rainbow jabbed Twilight in the ribs.
The Alicorn Princess snorted with laughter as she heard her friend. "Rainbow, I didn't get these tickets and sold out the arena because I'm a princess... Princess Celestia told me I had to relax and have fun, again. So, she gave me the choice between Wonderbolts or Cottage Cheese Sniffing," she shuddered at the thought. "My choice was obvious. And, Rainbow?"
Said Pegasus looked up from the cloud ponies she had constructed during Twilight's explanation.; she crushed them flat. "Hm?"
"If I'm royalty, so are all my friends. Especially since all of us have throne seats," Twilight giggled out the last part.
"Yeah, I know, Twilight. I know." Rainbow Dash patted her friend's head and smiled when the scowl burned her.
The ponies sat down in the reserved box the arena held. It wasn't anything grand. A large space where, six velvet sitting pillows, and a confection stand outside of the door that the Pegasi had probably just installed.
"Ladies and gentlecolts!" The announcer, a blue-gray Pegasus with a scruffy black mane, tail, and sideburns, blanched as he saw the only audience. He turned around and repeated his entrance again. "Ladies and Princess Twilight Sparkle!"
Said, princess blushed when he said her full title and covered her face with a hoof. She felt a hoof pat her back, head, ear. The ear was a bit weird, but she looked up halfway, nonetheless.
The announcer continued, "Introducing the Captain of the Wonderbolts: Spitfire!" A yellow-gold Pegasus shot out from behind the stallion and created a trail of smoke with golden lightening found in it. She twirled and circled her own trail; she got lower and lower the trail transforming into a tornado shape. "And let's not forget Soarin' and Fleetfoot!" The two Pegasi popped out from behind the tornado shape and began to encircle it. The shape began to rotate faster and faster, becoming more windy, and unstable. Fleetfoot went to dive into the eye of the storm, but was thrown out as soon as she went in. Soarin' tried as well, but failed also, the both of them thrown somewhere where nopony could see them.
