Crimson Moon woke up. He sat up in his bed in a cold sweat... Nightmares. They always were the same. Death of mother, her coming back, rips out neck, wake up, repeat. Ever since that day, he hardly has any nice dreams. If he does... He tries to remember them as best he can.
"It's those fucking dreams again... Shit... Well...", he sighed as he looked at the clock. 5:07. He stared and shook his head. That was the day his mother died... And the time. He always wakes up at that time now. It pains him to wake up like this... But he, like always, never has had a choice.
He combed his black mane while he grabbed his axe and rushed outside to the dark, dreary woods. He tried to not make any sounds except for the snapping of twigs and crunches of dead leaves.
He chopped down a few short trees to create some wood for fire and carving.
Woodwork is okay. He picked it up while he lived in the forest. Heck, if your gonna live in a place surrounded by trees, might as well... But that wasn't his profession. He was a hunter, but not of animals...
No... It wasn't at all...
Vampires. Yes, vampires. Ponies that have been bitten and sworn into being parasites of the night. He usually needed the wood for stakes. He tried to keep the vampire population growth down but some how, they still get bigger and bigger numbers.
While cutting down one more tree, he finally knew what to do...
He need to get more hunters.
Pain is misunderstood. Pain is something that hurts you. Not only physically but mentally as well. Sometimes, if your lucky, it will only be mental but eventually, it makes an appearance on the physical side.
That was always Ginger Snap's philosophy on life. She's been hurt to many times. Inside and out. Her father was never in the picture and sometimes her mother would visit her at the orphanage, telling her one day, she will be out and her mother will have her in her arms. But of course... That never happened. Turns out, mommy doesn't like to be true to her word, and that's what caused her mom to become the target of a huge mafia drug ring. Never saw her after that. Probably somewhere in equestria blowing some one. EW. Just gross...
Well... At least she's not alone... There are far to horrible things happening to other ponies...
Living on the streets is a tough life. It's also taken lightly. Ginger always sleeps in alleys. Not some apartment unless its raining, of course, and its vacant.
She's been living in Manehatten for some time now and lets just say... It's been one hell of a ride. She's picked up a few tricks along the way, such as, hiding a blade in her clothes. Many ponies, mostly stallions, try to rob you. But she doesn't take it. She either runs, hides, or just hurts them.
She's learned many things but its not enough... She has learned that...
She has a grandmother. She heard she lives in Ponyville but the only way to get there is to know the right pony. An assassin. She does not know who, what, or where to find these guys but... If she's going to get a home, she needs to know where to find this dark species.
"Shit! Shit! SHIT!!!", The door of Cabaret Lights' dressing room kept banging from the other side. She quietly lit her cigarette under the table. There were thugs coming to take her. Why? She did not know. All she knows is she got 3 letters last week. One said this:
Dear friend,
You do not know who I am, and will not know ever. But you should know...
They are coming. Who they are? Thugs. But I do not know who exactly. Please take my words with care. If not, you will have another letter.

The next day she went out like there was nothing wrong, but she got another letter:
Dear Friend,
You did not listen. Now they know what you look like. You have begun to anger me, but I do not blame you. I would not believe a random letter either. Please, do not go outside again. They do not know of the letters yet. Be wary of who you trust.

She listened but she was still confused. Who would send her letters? Barely anyone knew her and no one ever
sent her anything, unless it was somepony wanted a little... "Action"... But she got one last letter...

As soon as she got the letter, she felt like everything came crashing down. Then the whole club became DEAD SILENT. Wait... Dead Silent...?
She hid as best she could and didn't make a sound. The knocks finally stopped. It was still silent. She didn't leave the room until dawn peaked through the window. She fell asleep on the cold, wooden floor. As she drifted of in to a soft dream, she heard a strong voice talk from behind the door...
"She'll be out sooner or later... She needs to get food at some point."
And just like that... It all went dark.
"Oh Celestia, Drawn Demon! You just can't do that! That's not how you fly!" Iron Maiden shook her head in dissatisfaction. It upset her to know that a little foal could be that stupid.
"You know that's not how you fly... You can't just jump off a branch and expect to float into the sky".
Drawn Demon knew that. She was a curious foal but she wasn't stupid. Sometimes she found herself up a tree trying to flutter up higher... All she wanted to do was see the moon... She was always so close... But then she falls...
Only this time, her mother was there.
Iron Maiden was a Unicorn, not a Pegasus like DD, so she did not know how to teach her how to fly.
The only Pegasus she knew... Was DDs father... But it was too late for that. She didn't know what to teach this thin, weak foal... What was she going to teach her?!
Then it hit her...
"DD?"
The little light red headed foal looked up,"yes, ma?"
`Iron Maiden looked into her bright red eyes," Would you like to become stronger?"
The little foal lit up,"yes! Yes I would mama! How? How can I?" She jumped up and down in Maidens' lap.
"I can teach you... But your going to make a lot of promises and oaths... And your going to need to...", she paused and thought...
"what is it? Mama?" Iron Maiden looked and smiled...
"Would you like to help the helpless ponies? The ones who are hurt everyday? The ones who can't take care of themselves? And would you like to hurt the ponies that hurt others?"
DD smiled and shook her head.
"...good..."
