The magical land of Equestria is sick, maybe even terminal. Years ago a war between Ponies and Zebras decimated life across the globe, only those that were sealed in underground bunkers known as Stables were able to survive. In the generations since the war, life has slowly started to return, while the creatures of the wasteland can make that difficult; occasionally a bright light flickers to bring hope that maybe one day Equestria will start to return to its former glory. They say that war never changes, but its also known that life always finds away, though sometimes life needs a Doctor to nurse it back to health.

Not my first fic, but My first attempt at a FOE fic, set several years before Velvet and Littlepip left Stable 2. Going to try and keep this as canon as possible. Try and go easy on me.

For Doctor Whooves fans: This is not the regular Doctor Whooves as seen in the show and most fic, this one is based on the 11th Doctor and no, his assistant is not Derpy. This story is in loose continuity with Edowaado’s Doctor Whooves Comic.

There will be references to some of my others stories, including another Doctor Whooves fic that I never finished, but might someday. This has become a stronger and more fleshed out idea.
