The End Of The Rainbow
Voices
Previous ChapterPinkie Pie, in tune with her new routine got up at 7:00. She sighed, while looking into a cracked mirror that was apparently 'a doorway to the soul'.Twilight's ramblings, while usually being tolerable and sometimes amusing, now constantly left her even more tired as usual. She sometimes felt the need to throw up, constantly worrying about said ramblings, for example 'Oh my, Pinkie! You look awful! Have you been sleeping?!' Pinkie was also suffering from insomnia, which took of a bit of an edge off of the depression, as less nightmares meant less of seeing Dash's face when she found out about her illness.
Sickness had taken it's toll on Pinkie. Her mane was flat, her eyes dark and puffy, she barely moved around and she didn't smile. What was the point in smiling when there's nothing to be happy about?
She just sat sometimes. Isolation was apparently good for her, but her friends were still concerned about her well being. Knives littered Pinkie's room for some apparent reason.
Then the voices started.
'Hello Pinkie... Have you reconsidered yet?'
The voice, Pinkamena, always asked the same thing. She apparently knew of a cure to Dash's illness. Her conditions were unknown to Pinkie, but she knew they would involve blood. Pinkie had snapped, and she was finished. She gave up on life, as if losing her family wasn't enough, now she would lose one of her dear friends.
Pinkie was done.
"Fine."
'What did you say, Pinkie? I didn't hear you....'
"FINE. I will do as you ask, Mena. I don't care what it involves, I want to help Dashie."
'Oh, fantastic! We're going to have so much fun, Pinkie!'
"That's Pinkamena to you."
Pinkie felt herself giving in to the voice. She began to writhe in agony, seeing though the nightmare that was possessing her, to the true sacrifice she would have to make.
"I am done."
Mena slowly stood up, sensing that her host's soul had shattered, making way for her. Sugarcube Corner filled with laughter once again.
Pinkamena had arrived.
