You're that crazy pink one!
We all know that a negative and a positive comes out negative. But what happens when a smile meets a frown?
She with her two pigtails coming out from her head, made her way to the living room, Spongebob Squarepants would be starting soon. And what reason would a seven year old miss an episode of it? She smiled at the thought, but made a frown as she remembered her older brother in his computer room, watching his videos online, or writing some fanfic, or drawing something pony-related. But she soon cheered up as she turned on the sleek black television.
She scooted onto the couch, giggling in anticipation that her show was about to start. In 20 minutes time. She still couldn't tell the time. Her big brown eyes seemed to be brimming in disappointment as she surfed the channels, one by one. There wasn't a lot of kid shows airing at this time of day, it didn't help that she had a small choice of channels to choose from. It was either The Hub, Nickolodeon, or disney junior.
She pouted, Disney junior was for children much younger than her, and Spongebob wasn't starting anytime soon. So it meant The Hub.
Maybe Pound Puppies is on! She tried to be optimistic as she turned the channel to The Hub, to her disappointment, it was the show that made her brother lose time for her; My Little Pony; Friendship Is Magic. Her fingers danced on the remote, opting for the notion to change the channel, but soon the colourful characters on screen perked her interest. The decision was made. Halfway through watching the show, she could recognise the mane six but couldn't remember their names correctly. Instead, she gave them names according to what she thought of them.
There was this purple super unicorn, a skittle coloured cyan tomboy, a orange farmer girl, a fashsion designer unicorn, a cute yellow shy pony, and a crazy pink one.
And she couldn't be bothered to remember them, they were like the third party in her brother's sibling relationship with her. Now a brony, her brother was head-over-heels with them, especially the yellow one. What made the little girl wonder though, was how her brother; who used to love playing that gun game and that squarey game, would like a show made for girls like her? After finishing her smart thought of the day, she was a bit infuriated and jealous, her fingers reached for the remote. Grabbing the remote with her short fingers, she smiled a triumphant grin at the cartoon characters on the television. Looking at the ponies for the last time before turning the channel.
It was that pink one, only younger.
On the screen, a straight haired pink filly, whose skin was an awfully darker pink instead of the baby pink that was shown earlier. However, the filly didn't stay that way for a colorful rainbow came out of nowhere, breaking the dull and gloomy atmosphere, brightening the place up. The filly, back facing the girl, hair was now cotton-candy shaped, with a couple strands of mane popping out, but the blast of the rainbow was so strong that an after reaction was created, throwing the young filly out of the screen into the young girl's open mouth.
The girl was the first to open her eyes, realizing the two-dimensional character that was in her mouth , she spit her out. Her tongue went instinctively all over mouth, tasting what the thing tasted like; cotton candy.
Next, she muffled a scream. How could she forget that a cartoon character just came outta nowhere? The pink filly, curious as to what happened just stared at her. The little two-dimensional character opened her mouth as if she was going to cry, but she instead bounced around on the sofa, leaving behind darker brown spots on the light brown sofa from her saliva-covered mane. "Again again!" She repeated in a sing-song manner.
The little girl stared awkwardly at that pink animation bouncing around on the sofa, giggled a little,"Crazy little pink one, you went into my mouth, covered in saliva and you want to go again?" She asked.
The young filly rolled her eyes jokingly and replied,"Of course silly filly! That was fun! And my name is not 'Crazy pink one'! I'm Pinkamena Diane Pie, at your service!" Pinkamena did a little curtsy, before losing her balance and falling on the sofa. "I could never do that properly." Pinkamena made fun of herself and giggled.
The little girl giggled too, but then remembered that this 'thing' took away her brother. She gave the pink pony a stern look and replied with seriousness,"Well, Pinkamena, my name is Ashley. Also, how are you real? You came from the telly!" Ashley pointed a finger at the sleek television.
Pinkamena turned her head to look at what Ashley was pointing at, only to see something that had moving pictures on it, which also included her, she scratched her chin, something she did when she didn't know what was going on. "Well, gee, I don't know Ashley! That looks like a mirror, but that its moving on its own!" The pink filly stayed perfectly still, to see whether what she thought of the 'mirror' was right. Indeed, even though she didn't move, the pink filly in the television moved.
"EEK!" Pinkamena, defying physics, even as a filly, managed to jump up to Ashley's neck and hide behind her. Her view of the 'mirror' covered, she waved a hoof and whined,"Goooo awaaay, go away!" Ashley smiled, although this kind of pony stole her brother, she was kind of cute. Ashley stood up to turn off the television, by now, Pinkamena had already climbed up to her brown locks of hair, a pink dot in her ocean of brown hair.
"Stop that, it tickles!" Ashley chortled, her pearly whites being exposed as Pinkamena maneuvered through her maze of hair. But the incessant rummaging of tiny hooves through her hair never stopped, she sighed and grabbed the little filly out of her hair and gave her a look a foalsitter would give a filly eating paste,"What are you doing in my hair? What were you even expecting to find in there?"
Pinkamena widened her eyes and attempted to say seriously,"Cookies! It was soooooooo brown, your hair, like cookies!" Ashley cracked up, and the duo fell on the floor, laughing as loudly as they could.
But a deep voice broke the laughter,"Ashley? What's with all that noise? Are you talking to someone?" And out from the computer room, came her brother.

"Ashley?" Her brother with his Twilightlicious T-shirt came out of the room, looking around for his younger sister.
Ashley started to panic, if her brother ever saw her with one of his favourite cartoon characters, he would freak and take away her new friend, on probation new friend away. She still couldn't trust that little filly. "Quick hide! So my brother won't see you!" She whispered to the young filly.
But Pinkamena ignored her and kept laughing, with a swoop, Ashley grabbed the palm-sized pony and placed her in her pocket, muffling her laughter. Ashley's brother, a young 21 year old, sauntered over to her and put a hand on her shoulder,"Hey buddy, you alright?"
Her brother hardly asked questions like that, the little girl nodded innocently, hand clamped over her pocket to muffle more of the filly's laughter. "Oh yes," Her brother getting to the reason why he probably came out for,"was there somebody here just now? I could have sworn I heard a little kid's laughter other than yours." His eyes darted from side to side, surveying the room for any signs of a little girl. Ashley began to perspire profusely as she heard Pinkamena begining to become hyperactive in her pocket, currently squirming around, her sing-song voice breaking the silence, "Heeeey Ashley! Whydya put me in here? It's really dark..." Ashley could hear the young filly's voice, silently praying that her brother wouldn't hear.
However, her brother did hear. He leaned forward and eyed her suspiciously,"Who was that?" Ashley bit her lip and tried to think a way out of this, finally an idea came to her,"Oh big brother, I was throwing my voice around! Really good, wasn't it? Well, I'm off to watch cartoons now!" Her voice shakily said as she went to turn on the television.
"Right... You'll be good, okay sport?" Her brother asked with a caring voice as he petted her head, Ashley, being much shorter than him, hugged his legs as she whispered,"Of course I will, Big brother."
Ashley's brother smiled as he retreated back to his room, she heaved a sigh of relief and she pulled the pink filly out of her pocket, whom was still chattering away, making gasping noises,"Ashley! it was so dark in there! And so hard to breathe too!" Pinkamena then started the seemingly endless string of questions,"Who was that? Is he your brother?"
Ashley slumped on the sofa with a soft 'thud', she kind of wished though that he would probe around more, or tickle her whenever he thought she was lying, but that was all in the past. Suddenly remembering a verse from the songs her brother usually sings, she began to sing softly,"He was my big brother, best friend forever. And now we'll never do anything, together..." As she sang, unbeknownst to her, a single tear rolled down her cheek.
Pinkamena realized what was happening and stopped her string of questions, miraculously, she managed to jump up onto the sofa, a feat unmanageable by most ponies and just snuggled next to the crying girl, the pink filly knew a party wasn't needed, just her company.
