The holographic screen flickered to life, projecting a flickering, but constant image on screen. Static traced at the corners of the feed, as though the makeshift terminal were to fizzle out at any moment and take the image with it. The sounds of junk being moved around were heard from the ongoing video, as well as the grunts of a female voice off-screen. The image shook, eventually stabilizing and being sat upright towards a blank spot on an olive paint-flaked wall.
"Ugh... dammit, where the hell did he..." A loud thud was heard off screen, followed by a few profanities muttered in an unfamiliar, aggressive language, taking a good minute for it to stop. "Whatever, I'll ask him later..."
A light turns on in the nearby room off screen, giving a bit of light to the face that then appears, taking a seat a good few feet from the camera. Scarred, and covered in an assortment of tattoos scrawled across parts of her face, a young woman with short, multicolored hair smiles into the camera. "Figured I may as well do this before something happens that might prevent me from ever getting this out... Anyways, girls, it's Rainbow Dash." She remains quiet on screen for a moment, obviously letting a bit of the shock settle into the intended audience.
The woman on screen then offers a half-hearted shrug before easing back into her seat. "Yeah, I know. I look different. Happens when you pretty much jump to a whole other... how did Envoy say it... 'plane of existence'..? Yeah, so y'know that weird magical anomaly that happened a few clicks out of Cloudsdale? Yeah, apparently, some Shaman..."
She pauses, looking offscreen for a second in thought. She then lights up, leaning forward in her seat a little closer to the camera. "Okay, think something similar to a Unicorn -- but anyways, some Shaman was traveling through the Astral Plane, searching for auras to trace and all that of Shadowrunners, and one of these Shamans managed to get a tether on our world. Just in one little area, hence that anomaly stuff. They couldn't get a stronger bridge anywhere else so they just kept their focus on there. So, they held that and after myself and a few other Pegasi were sent to check it out, since it was causing the weather in the area to act... violent, we got sucked in when we came too close. Fucker sucked us right in and brought us here..." She finished the last sentence with a large amount of venom, her expression darkening for but a split second.
She remained still, looking up directly into the lens of the camera, keeping a level stare with it. "Still with me? To shorten it, some Shaman did some Astral Projection to track down some auras of some runners here and ended up causing a bit of a bridge between our world and this one, and after I and a few other Pegasi flew unintentionally flew into it... there was a flash, and then we were here."
She suddenly goes quiet. Her eyes dart a little from the adjacent walls, her mouth opening and closing as she clearly has trouble speaking her mind. "I'll... I'll tell you girls everything when I get back, alright? But please, right now, don't let anyone get close to it -- don't let them get dragged in."
Another voice booms from off-screen, clearly male, and largely deep. "Hey Dash! Proxy's found us a client in the Shadowlands!"
The woman let off a tired sigh, shaking her head a little. "Dammit, knew this was going to happen... listen, girls, this is just a message to let you know that I'm fine with where I'm at... so far. I got friends here working to find some way to get me back home to you." She lets off a hearty chuckle, shaking her head at some profound memory. "If you girls get this message, that means that we're getting pretty damn close to sending me back."
The male voice booms again. "Dash, c'mon! Proxy says our client needs us to be ready for this run tonight!"
She sighs, then looks offscreen. "Tell Proxy she needs to find more flexible clients, seriously! She gets us jobs on such short notice, and whenever we're not ready for them!"
The male voice is obviously getting frustrated. "Yeah-well, you should be ready for anything in the first place! One of the main rules of being a Shadowrunner out here!"
She leans back into her seat, crossing her arms and shaking her head. She looks up to the camera, fatigue showing in her features and voice. "Listen, I'll talk to you all when I get back... hope you took care of Tank for me, Flutters. See you girls later." She reaches towards the camera, flicking something that causes the feed to die.
