Vinyl was setting up all of the chairs for every pony to sit down and then she was moving on to the food and drink stands and an extra stand for donations. She had at least 6 ponies working on the stands if she could remember correctly. Rainbow Dash was preparing everything on stage, like setting up the speakers, positioning the microphones and things like that. “No problem Vinyl,” mumbled Rainbow Dash. “What was that RD?” asked Vinyl Scratch “You aren’t worried are you? If you are why? You’ve sung a load of times in front of half of Ponyville, this performance’s audience is only 1000.” “ONLY 1000! YOU SAY THAT LIKE ITS NOTHING!” Shouted Rainbow Dash. Vinyl Scratch was used to being shouted at because of the uptight, snobby Canterlot ponies, she wasn’t used to being shouted at by Dash. Rainbow gasped. “Oh my gosh Vinyl, I’m so sorry, I don’t know what got into me, I’m just really worried about what ponies are gonna think of me tonight” said Rainbow Dash, mumbling the last part. “It’s fine Dash, I’m used to it, and I can understand why you were worried, I overreacted about the whole ‘It’s only 1000 Ponies’ thing” Said a slightly saddened Vinyl Scratch. “What do you mean, your used to it?” asked a curious Rainbow Dash. “Now that’s a story for another day, we better get a move, at the speed were going, we’ll never be finished in time! The show starts in three and a half hours!” exclaimed Vinyl. “Then we better get a move on!” replied Rainbow Dash. “Oh, and Rainbow Dash?” “Yeah?” “Those speakers go over there,” said Vinyl Scratch as she pointed to where it should actually go. “Ughhh,” groaned Rainbow Dash. *** The time was now three thirty PM. ‘Only thirty minutes till the concert starts, one hour till I go on stage to perform. Why am I worrying, my friends will be there to support me. Better be getting ready then, seen as Rarity told me to brush my mane seen as it looks like I ‘never brush it’ apparently, and that will take almost an hour, luckily I’ve been let off from wearing stupid fancy stuff. Wait why do I even listen to Rarity again? Oh Yeah, She’s My PFF. Man I’m forgetful thought Rainbow Dash. She hovered down the hallway, which had small rooms where ponies could get ready to go and preform. Stopping to say hello along the way, Rainbow Dash found herself standing in front of her room. Opening the door, Rainbow Dash trotted into the room which had plain and boring brick walls, a small red sofa and a mirror, which had a few brushes. Usually, the mirror would also have some makeup on it, but Rainbow informed Vinyl that she wouldn’t be needing that ‘girly stuff’. Just as she was going to start getting prepared for the concert, she heard a loud knock at the door. “Who is it?” shouted Rainbow Dash, not bothering to open the door. “It’s the pizza mare! Who the hay do you think it is?” sarcastically shouted a fiery voice through the still unopened door. Trotting over to the door, Dash slowly opened it and found a yellow Pegasus mare, tapping her hoof against the wooden floor of the hallway. “Oh, sup’ Spitfire, wasn’t expecting you to pay me a visit before the show,” said Rainbow Dash. “Yeah, yeah, whatever, we need to talk about something in private, somewhere where no pony can hear us, got any ideas?” Spitfire held a look on her face of seriousness, and when she looks serious, she really means it. Well this doesn’t happen often, giving me the serious face, the only time she’s ever done that is back at the Wonderbolt academy, but that was ages ago. This must be really seriousRainbow Dash thought to herself “Hmm…Let me think, wanna try in here?” asked Dash as she pointed to her room. “Okay then” responded Spitfire. Closing the door, Rainbow was still curious about what was going on. “So, Spits, what’s going on” curiously asked RD. “It’s about the performance” “What about it?” “You know how three of the Wonderbolts were supposed to be coming?” “Yeah?” “I’m afraid only two of us can come…” “Why? What’s Happened!” “It’s Soarin, he, he just disappeared overnight!” “Did you hear or see anything? Have you called the cops! Have you done anything yet? Wait a second, why did you come to me?” panicked Rainbow Dash, frantically pacing around the room, many thoughts if what could've happened to the stallion rushing through her head. “That’s what I was about to tell you. I came to you because Soarin has been keeping a big secret from you, he told me specifically not to tell anypony, but I have to now” “What’s going on Spitfire?” “It’s Soarin, he has…he has…” “For goodness sake just spit it out already!” screamed Rainbow Dash “SOARIN HAS A HUGE CRUSH ON YOU! Phew, glad I finally got that off my chest” “WHAT! OH HECK NO, WHAT! I’M SO CONFUSED!” “Would you like me to repeat it?” “Sarcasm Spitfire, just sarcasm” “I know, do you really think I’m that stupid?” “Maybe…” chuckled Rainbow Dash, moments later turning into a fit of laughter. “Anyway, back to the point. He’s been wanting to confess for over 3 years no-“ “3 YEARS! You don’t keep your feelings for a mare in for that long!. Didn’t know he was that shy…he’s almost as shy as Fluttershy if you put it like that.” “Well anyway, how do you feel about that?” “That’s something for me and him to discuss” said Rainbow Dash as a sly grin started to form on her face. With Spitfire just staring off into space, Rainbow Dash was lucky she didn’t just see what she did. Waving her cyan hoof in front of the fiery mare’s face, Spitfire finally snapped out of it. “You now have a decision Rainbow Dash, we either try to track him down, or you stay here and sing for a crowd of about 1000 ponies. Which one will it be, Rainbow?” “Let’s go and find him” said a confident Rainbow Dash. “Dude, I wasn’t expecting that” “What do you expect from me? To go perform in front of a judgemental audience of over 1000 ponies? Sheesh, I’m not that confident” admitted Rainbow Dash “Anyway let’s just get going,” said Rainbow Dash. With that being said, they both speedily through the door and off into the place of not only the stage, but the whole crowd too. Chapter 2 - CampingVinyl stuck her head through the indigo coloured curtains. Her glasses got caught in the material and were then were dragged off of her face. "Dangit!" Vinyl mumbled to herself, only just noticing that the lenses had a big crach through the middle of them. Realising that the same incident had happened multiple times before that due to her blaring music. Everypony was staring at her as if it was the first time they had seen her. They were shocked that for once her glasses were not on her face, but on the floor. "Guys! You need to get back to you preparations! This concert means a lot to me, as it should for you aswell!" Vinyl shouted them, a look upon her face that was not at all amused. Everypony continued with there activities, mumbling rude things about the world famous DJ whilst she casually strolled past them. Realising that Rainbow obviously wasn't in here, she continued to walk down to her room. The walk now turning into a panicked gallop, she ran towards Rainbow's room to find the door wide open. Her eyes now filled fear and worry for her friend, she searched everywhere in her room, calling her name whilst she was at it. Sighing, Vinyl Scratch walked over to her mirror, to find that there was a not left in it. Realising what it was, Vinyl quickly picked up the small scrap of paper and read the messy handwriting. Either she was in a rush or it was just her writing. Probly her writing no doubt, as Rainbow Dash was not known for her writing, or anything related to that. Dear Vinyl, If you are currently reading this, then you obviously just rummaged round my room curious to where I was. Vinyl turned her head, wondering how she had guessed so easily at her previous actions. That's what happens when you hang out with Pinkie Pie too often. Anyway, I had to leave early and won't be able to perform, as something bad has happened to Soarin, you know, the guy in the wonderbolts? Yeah, him. Apparently Spitfire heard a scream the other night and went in to his room and BAM, he was gone. So yeah, my point is, I'm with Spitfire trying to rescue Soarin. Sorry, Rainbow Dash (P.S : I left twenty bits on the table for you, hopefully that should make up for it for now) Dropping the letter, Vinyl looked at her watch. It was time to announce the next performer. It was Rainbow Dash's turn. She ran towards the stage and took the microphone of it's stand. Before speaking, she cleared her throat. "Fillies and gentlecolts, I'm sorry to say but the next performer, known as Rainbow Dash, was unable to make it tonight as she is busy with something" the crowd let out a huge aww. They were interrupted by a grey unicorn stallion with a short purple mane when he shouted, pointing his hoof in the air, "Look everypony! Its Rainbow Dash and Spitfire! Wasn't expecting an airshow!" When Rainbow and Spitfire heard the stallion, they had already found which way to go, and immediately flew off. Once again, the crowd let out a huge aww, including the stallion who had just shouted it. Young fillies were in tears, until Vinyl finally spoke up, "We still have more performers to come!" *** "Do you think this is the way the pony went when he took Soarin?" Shouted Rainbow Dash over her shoulder, as the winds were quite strong where they were heading. Spitfire just gave a simple nod. Rainbow wasn't so sure, but when the fiery orange pegasus saw the look on the cyan mares face, she gave her a reassuring smile and placed a hoof on her shoulder, as if to say they were going to find him, although she wasn't so sure herself. They flew towards a tall hill, no doubt one of the tallest in Equestria. Stopping to sit down on top of it, they decided they would spend the night there. Seen as they hadn't thought to bring any essentials, they decided to set up as a small camp area. Rainbow Dash collected the sticks and Spitfire created the fire. After they had started to settle down, a strong breeze filled the air. Shivering, the two mares decided they should snuggle up to each other for warmth. Thought the night the pair of peagsi rested in peace, but what they didn't know was that there was something luring over them. Feeling something wasn't right, Spitfire's ears perked up and her eyes shot open. Looking down on the mare next to her sleeping peacefully, she decided she would discover what was going on by herself and wake her up if needed. Standing up ever so carefully so not to wake the snoring mare next to her, Spitfire ventured across the mountain, following the sound to find it's source. As for the creatures who were watching, they fled as soon as the Wonderbolt captain headed there way. Deciding that it was just her mind playing tricks on her, she abandoned the search and slowly walked back to camp, where the rainbow maned pegasus was still asleep. Hopefully. As she approached camp, Spitfire thought that she probably wouldn't be able to get back to sleep anyway, and went for a walk across the mountain. She stared in awe at the amount of trees there were surrounding her. She had never seen this many trees in her entire life! Completely forgetting about the mysterious sound and Rainbow Dash, she continued to walk through the forest like area, she thought that earlier she saw an open area which would be ideal for her and the wonderbolts to practise, as it was also peaceful too, well, if they did end up training there it wouldn't be so peaceful due to Spitfire's lack of shouting. After about an hour of wandering around the hill, Spitfire decided to head back to camp. When she arrived back at camp, she was met with a sight she did not want to see. Cyan feathers, a few strands of rainbow hair and tiny splodges of blood. This was not good. *** "Great job boys, let's teach her how it feels to be...heartbroken," said a manically laughing voice. Chapter 3 - Why?Rainbow Dash woke up to the sound of maniacal laughter and screams. She tried to jump up on all fours but when she did she fell back down and hurt herself. She was chained up to the wall. What the hay is going on! One second I'm looking for Soarin with Spitfire, and now I'm here?!? she thought to herself. Just then, she heard a door open, a groan, and a slam of a metal door. Yet another groan came from the cell next to her. The cyan made honestly didn't care what condition she was in at the moment, she wanted to see who was in the cell next to her. But before she could, her own cell door opened and something grabbed hold of her. It was a caramel coloured hoof. She thought of all the possibilities of who this strange pony could be. And then it hit her. "Hoops?" She curiously asked whilst being dragged across the stone cold floor. The stony floor was stained with blood, how had these guys not been caught yet? Well, at least she thought there was more than one pony behind this. He stopped at a dark brown, wooden door and opened it and then threw her into the room, where she no doubt supposed to be. She landed with an "Oof" and a slight crack but apart from that she was completely fine. Suddenly, she heard hoofsteps approaching her. "Hello, Rainbow Crash...Miss me much?" said a male voice, despite it being a bit higher pitched than a normal stallions voice. Rainbow instantly recognised that voice. An old enemy of her's from flight school, "Dumbbell?" Rainbow Dash asked curiously, knowing that it was the real him. He laughed alone, then uncovered himself from the darkness. It was actually him. The real him. He had the same chocolate brown coat, light blonde mane that flopped over his light blue eyes, and dumbbell cutie mark was exactly the same. The brown coated stallion's laugh died down until he eventually spoke up and said, "So you do remember me...It sure is nice to see you again...Now I will get the chance to finally get rid of you and your pathetic coltfriend!" Rainbow stared at the insane stallion, head tilted sideways and a confused expression upon her face which then turned into anger. "For one thing, he's not my coltfriend! We're just friends okay! And secondly, why are you doing this to us! Is it because in flight school when you asked me out I rejected you!?" Dumbbell blushed at what she just said, he remembered that time when he got rejected by her, then the cyan made continued, "Or is it because when I won the best fliers competition I went with the wonderbolts instead of you and your friends! We could have hung out some other time!" Dumbbell ignored the last part of her sentence, and continued his plan. The next thing was to torture her. He approached the cyan mare and held up his large hoof to her innocent face. He brought his hoof back and then threw it towards her. When it collided with her face, she let out a large scream of pain. He continued this until her cheek started to bleed. Lucky for her, Rainbow was a strong, confident young mare, but this was really getting to her. After slapping her so many times, he decided he would go even further and punch her. The stallion punched decided that it was a good idea to get payback, and started to punch her in the stomach. The mare's cheeks suddenly got bigger, as if she was about to throw up. Just then, she got punched in the throat and vomited all over the floor. But she wasn't fully knocked out yet. Just as she thought she was prepared for more, she passed out and fell to the stony ground. Before she was fully out, she heard Dumbbell say, "Bring her back to her cell, and clean this up!" the last thing she heard was a recognisable voice that said, "Oh, so I'm now the guy who has to clean up the vomit! I though that was basketball butts job!" then she was out for good, the sound of ringing through her mind. *** When she woke up, she found herself back in her cell and chained up once again. She groaned, knowing that she would probably my be there for a long time. She wondered how long she had been out for. She assumed it would have been at least one night. Rainbow wondered to herself what her friends were doing right now, whether they were worrying about her or had not even noticed her sudden disappearance. How much she longed to see her friends once again... *** Back in Ponyville, Rainbow's friends had gathered at the place of Twilight's old, now burnt, library, but seen as the castle library wasn't as private as they wanted it to be, she decided the five of them should meet there at early dawn, because hardly anypony was up at that time, even the ponies who sell things at the morning market weren't up at this time of day. They were worried sick for the welfare of there dear friend, as she was the one that kept them all together. Every one of the five of them loved everything about her, from her personality to her amazing flying abilities, they were all loved her to bits. Pinkie's hair was deflated, Applejacks hat was over her face as she tried her best to keep her tears in, Rarity and Fluttershy were sobbing heavily onto each others shoulders, and Twilight and Spike were embraced in a tight hug, as even Spike missed her. They just wondered where she was now... -To Be Continued...- Why Is It Cancelled? This is my first story, and it's absolutely CRAP. I'm cancelling this and fully rewriting it, plot and everything. Won't be out for a couple of months... Sorry guys... It was too fast paced as well... -Phantom Here's what I wrote of chapter 4: Twilight frantically paced around the area where her old tree home, The Golden Oaks Library, used to be, as the only remains of it were quarter of the bottom of it and ashes surrounding it. Since Tierek was defeated, the library had been cleaned up, but it kept disintegrating and they couldn't keep up with wiping all of it away each and every single day. Her friends were starting to worry about the purple princess, she had been at this for hours now. It was already almost time for lunch, and most of Ponyville was starting to get suspicious at the sudden disappearance of the rainbow maned Pegasus. No pony actually knew of what happened, or where she had disappeared to. Even Spitfire was clueless, and they were the ponies who disappeared in the first place. Even Vinyl only knew the slightest information, that she had gone with Spitfire up the mountains to go save Soarin, as he had suddenly vanished over night as well.

-To Be Continued...-
Why Is It Cancelled?
