Having been stuck in Canterlot High's alternate Earth for nearly five months, Gearhead is stumped: he wants to get himself, Twilight Sparkle, and Spike home to Equestria, but is having trouble finding a portal, or even connecting to the 'stuff of magic.' On top of that, he is trying to earn a sustainable amount of money without raising too much suspicion as to his means and identity.

Enter Rochelle Grant, his girlfriend-for-sanity's-sake, with a possible solution: go out for a fun, relaxing day – and what better place to do this than the pool?
