Quill Lines, a golden Earth pony mare with a rich red mane with a bright white quill as a cutie mark, stared at the small envelope, after several weeks working within the Ponyville journalist department Quill had reached the limit. The final nail on the coffin hadn’t actually been her or anything that affected her, technically, but her fellow employees had been investigating a particular creature. A strange half-pony half-snake hybrid thing, it was supposed to be a very good story, so why did it screw up? The mare protecting the stallion hybrid had distracted them all by, quote, pointing out a filly who had injured herself. Not only was it humiliating to know that they fallen for a non-existent filly, but they’d given up the hybrid as a trade. The whole company was a joke so Quill set out looking for new employment, preferable out of the city, after those tentacle vine plant things, this town was too much of a death trap.

Quill had applied for several journalist jobs in various cities, Canterlot had politely refused, Quill suspected they’d heard about the stupidity of her co-workers and didn’t want to hire anypony like them. Hay-Seed didn’t have any available spots, small town possibly true. Quill had run through several different letters, all with very similar ‘excuses’ finally she reached a shred of hope. Manehattan had offered her a job, on one condition; she wrote a decent short article on a story, any, she could use her imagination, which was important apparently, around Ponyville. Quill crossed off the snake-hybrid story, Canterlot was preparing to send out a small team to focus on that and she didn’t need them shredding her up on her first job… However the hybrid had come from the Everfree forest, and if a mare blundering through the forest could find one so could she.

Quill packed up a camera, a note pad and quill around her neck, a saddlebag with a lamp, emergency flares, some food in case she had to camp out with it to get an interview and a few other bits of survival gear, including a set of goggles that looked like something you’d wear when welding, they were reflective, in theory a cockatrice wouldn’t be able to petrify her. In theory. Quill decided she was set and headed off from her rented apartment, once this was over she could say goodbye to the cheery town that had tricked her in, good riddance too.

Quill’s ears pressed against her head in fear, she’d walked in for several minutes and the place was eerily quiet. She kept repeating to herself motivation

“Manehattan, leaving Ponyville, fame, a husband, steady living, no more shame.” But her voice was quickly retreating down her throat to join her bravery. A crack of a twig caused Quill too squeak like a mouse. Quill began backing away and held the goggles against her eyes, fumbling with the straps trying to put them on properly. A little rabbit popped out of the brush, a normal chestnut brown rabbit which stared at the bizarre Quill who was shaking like she would fall any second. Quill let go off the goggles which fell around her neck with a sigh

“Hay little guy, you scared me.” She whispered and kept going instantly realising she’d lost the path.

Quill trudged nervously through the Everfree forest, she felt like crying. This had been such a dumb idea, she could have just interviewed Princess Twilight, Ponyville had a Princess for Celestia’s sake but she choose the dangerous forest. Her job had rubbed its stupidity on her, she had to get out before she became as dumb as they were. A crack of thunder made Quill jump to a lunch height a Pegasi would be proud of, Quill looked up angrily at the sky and it spat on her. Rain began to gently trickle down before it began pelting. Quill groaned as her mane flattened out against her head, she didn’t have time to deal with looking for a lamia in the rain right now, as far she knew she had at least a month to get this article done. Waiting for the rain to let up for a day wouldn’t do too much harm.

Quill wandered about until she came across the entrance to a cave, if she didn’t know any better Quill would say that a group of Ursa Major’s had formed a triangle formation and had run into the mountain digging out the tunnel before her. Quill gulped hoping a dragon didn’t live here and pulled out her lamp. The tiny glass encased flame, held from Quill’s mouth, illuminated a small circle of the cave. Quill, alone and frightened, thought her steps sounded like cannon fire. She walked several feet in then discovered a set of slightly smaller tunnels, three in total, splitting away in different directions. Quill decided to hug the left of the cave so, on her way out, she could hug right to find her way out again. Quill passed through two separate tunnels which both led into little circular chambers with three mores paths, including the way back, when she froze; her lamp had illuminated a faded blue wall of scales, they were slowly turning grey, the scales, and were clearly breaking apart, but they looked so fresh, no more than a couple days. Whatever had shed these things was the size of Canterlot castle and could wrap a single coil around a Ponyville house, or so Quill’s panicked mind decided. She wasn’t far off, presumably a single coil could wrap around Quill with ease as well as several other ponies standing below the mare

“I think I found a lamia.” Quill whispered to herself.

Quill followed around the shed skin, it slowly shrank but was still massive, no way to tell how large since it seemed to tangle and hide around itself in the dark. But it eventually shrank down to pony length again. Quill checked the other tunnels but saw nothing

“Buck this, I’m not risking my life over this as soon as it’s morning I’m leaving- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Quill let out a high pitched scream that echoed through the whole cave as a flock of bats flew past her. Quill breathed heavily

“You damn stupid bats!” she cried and sobbed, this was too scary for her currently shredded nerves. She set her saddlebag down and unpacked a sleeping bag, piling her camera, note pad, quill and goggles beside her. Curling up inside it, having set up in a corner able to see all the entrances. Quill watched the fire in her lamp flicker and cast long shadows, she closed her eyes and waited to fall asleep.

Quill’s scream echoed into a larger chamber, chandeliers of rock hung from the ceiling of the cavern, a little stream trickled in from a hole through the middle separating the small cave like a miniature model of a planet, little spiked rocks acting like plants. Pillars of stone climbed up to the ceiling like trees with branches of jagged rocks. Little glowing plants, a lot like flowers, illuminated patches of the cavern. Dominating the room was a bright dark blue tail with black spots and a white underbelly, the large mass of muscle curled around the rock trees over the river and zigzagged all around the room, in the centre was a larger pile of coils and lying atop them was the form of a little Earth pony. The pony was dark blue with a long feminine like blond and green mane, the scream of Quill pierced his sleep and the pony opened his green eyes and looked around. The pony stood up, stretched his front hooves over his head and glanced around. At first glance somepony might be forgiven for thinking the pony was standing on his hind legs but in fact they did not exist, instead they joined up to the massive five hundred feet of coils around the room. Quill had found a lamia alright, but it wasn’t anything like the other one in town, this one was wild.

The lamia flicked out its tongue slowly and glanced towards the direction of Quill, grinning

“Somepony has arrived and are scared… Sounds like they could use a hug” the lamia squeezed its tail and a chunk of rock became a chunk of dust. The lamia carefully choose the tunnel to take, leading towards the way Quill had come in. Effectively trapping the poor mare in the cave with the strange beast. The lamia stared down the tunnel, his night eyes glowing faintly as he looked at the flickering halo of light in front of him

“Let’s play, little pony.” He mumbled.

Quill was having trouble falling asleep, finally she dug into her supplies for some comfort food. Quill pulled out a small sugary white cupcake and stared at the simple luxury food. She nibbled on the edge of it and the taste made her sigh contently, it reminded her of home, her parents’ home when she used to sneak into the cake tin and stuff her face. The thought made her miss her parents and think of her last visit, it was far too long ago. Quill might have travelled down memory lane but the sound of a small rock bouncing around caused her head to whip up and glance around.

Quill’s breathing became fearfully heavy and she set down her cupcake, grabbing her lamp she walked slowly to the way she’d come in, the direction of the sound. The lamp illuminated the rocky tunnel but as far as Quill could see it was completely empty, then she noticed something funny; the lamp flame seemed to stop at some random point and not continue, as if a wall had formed. Quill nervously walked up and as she got closer the lamp illuminated a wall of scaly blue muscle blocking the entrance. Quill stared at the living wall then turned back towards her make-shift camp, she stuffed everything into her bags as fast as possible. Grabbed her camera, note pad, quill and goggles; she was in too much of a panic to put the latter on.

Quill raced down the furthest tunnel then went right twice, after that her sense of direction just went away. Quill blindly raced through the tunnels, doing her best not to break down and cry. She didn’t want to die like this; alone in a dark cave with Celestia knows what! Finally Quill saw a shred of light ahead and put on a burst of speed, slight tears of relief running down her face. Her hopes were dashed against the rocks like a bug being stepped on, Quill had just entered a forest of rocks. Granted it was actually quite beautiful, the cavern, with glowing little plants like fireflies and a little stream cutting it up. But Quill couldn’t admire the scene, she was too busy staring at the vast amounts of tunnels. She could spend days traveling down each one and if that thing that had shed that massive skin was following her

“Hello Miss.” The s’ within the word were dragged out strangely, almost hissed as if a snake could talk.

Quill turned around holding her lamp higher but it didn’t show the pony, the little glowing plants did. A dark blue pony, with a long blond and green mane and piercing, slightly glowing, green eyes stared at Quill from across the room. Quill dropped her lamp and charged over. The stranger was caught unprepared for a random mare jumping into a hug, crying

“Oh thank Celestia somepony else is here, I’m lost and I just want to go home.” She blubbered. Quill backed up slightly realising she might have scared the stranger

“I’m sorry miss I didn’t mean… Sorry.” Quill whispered

“Miss?” Quill looked up at the pony who had lidded eyes as if unimpressed “I’m a dude.” He mumbled Quill changed from golden to red in the face

“Oh I-I’m sorry just your mane…” Quill’s voice faded as she took the ‘pony’ in.

The lamia smirked at the clear fear in the pony’s eyes as she took in his majestic form. The lamia leaned towards her and she leaned back in fear, cowering

“Something wrong?” he asked Quill shook her head “Clearly something is,” the lamia placed a hoof under Quill’s chin lifting her head up to look at him “What is it?” he hissed

“Y-You’re a lamia… Aren’t you?” Quill asked nervously. The lamia smiled tilting his head

“Indeed, I’m called Sine, I’m a constrictor. May I ask how you found out about me, did somepony tell you?” Sine asked.

Quill decided to go with what this Sine pony had provided

“Y-Yes, you see Mr Sine, recently another lamia was spotted in town and-and I wanted to do an article about one, but everypony was going after the safer one. B-But a friend of mine told me about you and you sounded a lot more impressive and available. I figured I’d go for you since you… Well my friend didn’t do you justice on your magnificence.” Sine hissed softly as if pleased. So stroking his ego worked, noted.

Sine leaned towards the pony journalist

“So tell me, what did you want to know, miss?” he asked

“Quill, Quill Lines, sir.” Quill nodded politely “Just, anything really. How you live, the sort of challenges you have to face, what you eat and relationships you have, you mentioned you knew other ponies, could you tell me who they are?” despite Quill’s pure fear she grabbed her quill in her mouth and pushed the notepad around her neck up so she could write (it was on a neck brace like type contraption so it was easier for ponies to write comfortably) at the very least it would look like she was truly interested. And if she lived it would make a nice story.

Sine smiled, keeping the pony focused on his front half as the bulk of his tail curled slowly around the back of the pony out of sight

“Well you can see how I live, mostly here in my cave. I haven’t really faced anything that couldn’t be solve by… Giving it a good hug,” Sine smiled and Quill gulped but kept writing little notes. Terrifying and imposing though Sine was, he was still fascinating

“As for ponies I know, they mostly just wander in, many of them have some sort of constriction fetish because they know I like to give hugs.” Quill looked up

“Are you okay to tell me who these ponies are?” she asked Sine smiled

“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I’m allowed to give out that information.” Sine said

“Okay now I have a question, please don’t get offended I’m comparing him too you not vice versa. The other lamia, apparently, has shown signs of what can only be classified as hypnosis, do you have that ability?” Sine watched his tail slowly working its way towards the mare from behind

“Oh I have the ability, but I get a serious headache if I try too purposely do it. Sometimes it sets off on its own but I don’t have control over when.” Sine reached forward and Quill stiffened as his hooves unlatched her saddlebag, tossing it aside.

Pine pulled the goggles off over the frozen mare’s head then unclipped the camera

“You didn’t get my answer for the question you asked about what I eat,” Sine whispered softly tossing the camera aside. Quill shivered, as if static was jumping from every single hair on her body, the bolt made of ice. She guessed his answer before Sine even said it

“Sometimes, I eat unwelcome visitors.” Sine’s eyes changed from gentle green to glowing blood red. Quill’s body froze, her quill still in her mouth fell to the floor with a soft little ding, like a little bell. Sine chuckled at the shivering pony, she looked so cute he could just cuddle her

“P-please Mr Sine…” she whispered as he tossed her pad and quill aside

“Aw, but you ran up and hugged me earlier. You didn’t give me a chance to hug you back!” Sine said devilishly.

Quill remained motionless, even as Sine bared down on her. She was too scared to move, and any sounds she made were like little mouse squeaks, which amused Sine further. Sine brought the coils he’d moved behind Quill forward, they slowly encased her in a single coil easily able to cover her whole body. Sine pushed the base of the coil around Quill up so her head remained above the wall of blue muscle. Sine gently touched Quill’s muzzle and she stared at him, flat out terrified

“Please don’t kill me.” She begged softly. Sine hissed baring a set of fangs

“No promises”.  He whispered.

Sine gradually tightened his tail around the helpless mare. Before it felt like Quill was simply being cradled in a mountain of muscle, it was actually quite comfortable but she wasn’t focusing on the feeling of Sine’s scales against her fur. She was focused more on the concept of dying. Sine’s tail tightened to a light constriction, no effect to Quill’s breathing but a little bit of pressure on her body, it would have been good for something like a message. Sine passed the gentle message point and Quill’s breathing began to get slightly more difficult. At first it wasn’t very noticeable, but as more and more of her lung space was squeezed down Quill began to panic, she was rapidly reaching the point where it would hurt a lot more. Sine rushed past the next point and Quill would have screamed if she had any air, instead a low moan escaped her lips and her head rolled to one side against the scales. Quill was a faint tinge of blue now and her mouth hung open as she tried to get more air and failed

“Sine,” She groaned attempting to beg “I… Can’t breathe…” she managed. Sine slowly dragged his forked tongue along Quill’s cheek and she shivered at the rough texture of his tongue

“But you’re clearly enjoying it so much.” Sine whispered “Wouldn’t you like it to be a little… TIGHTER?”

Quill’s lungs were constricted to the point of them skewering on her lungs, she had started to cry, her eyes rolling into her head. Any sound was wheezing coughs and moans, she didn’t have the air to speak. Sine grinned at Quill’s fluttering heart against his coils, her warmth bleeding into his scales, she looked so cute, totally helpless.

Sine loosened his tail slightly and Quill coughed breathing in great gulps of air, she still hadn’t recovered enough to speak when Sine tightened around her again. Quill struggled futilely against the coils of this monster, but it was as effective as trying to knock down a wall with a feather. Sine continued to comfortably tighten his tail around the mare, in fact her struggles were actually entertaining. Sine rarely had somepony like Quill, a pony with a little fight left even after the first round of constriction. Quill let her head fall forward as her breathing became even more laboured

“P-Please… Sine… Stop.” Her voice was like the chime of a triangle, quiet and fragile. Sine loosened his tail against and Quill breathed freely once more

“P-please, let me go! I don’t want to die.” Quill whispered looking up her eyes bloodshot from crying.

Sine placed his hoof under Quill’s chin and grinned

“Oh I have no intention of killing you, you are much too fun to simply do away with. And eating ponies isn’t often my thing. Unless they really annoy me.” Sine said sliding behind Quill

“T-then why did you say that you eat unwelcome visitors?” Quill asked in a little voice

“Because sometimes I do… But you are not unwelcome.” Sine’s tail tightened again, more gently this time and Sine wrapped his hooves around Quill’s neck

“And aren’t you having fun?” he asked Quill felt something brush against her neck, four something’s and she had a sneaking suspicion they were Sine’s fangs. Sine said he only ate ponies that annoyed him, which probably included ponies talking back or resisting him. Quill’s ears pressed against her head

“Yes. Lots of fun.” She whispered her voice close to breaking from fear. Sine growled softly

“You’re lying.” Quill broke out in a cold sweat

“I-I’m not, I’m having fun, being squeezed; love it!” Quill said nervously then felt Sine’s breath against her neck

“Are you scared?” Sine asked Quill nodded silently “Good… Because you should be.”

Quill cried out… In surprise. Sine had bitten her neck but his fangs hadn’t punctured, he was also tightening his tail along Quill’s body in a soft tempo as if she were some sort of instrument. Quill exhaled slowly, she remained nervous and cautious of the lamia’s actions, but still smiled faintly at the soft pampering of his tail against her fur

“Now this is fun.” Quill cooed softly and Sine dragged his tongue along Quill’s cheek. While the gesture was gross and a little scary, it at least moved Sine away from immediately cutting open her neck accidently. Then Sine reached her ears. Quill didn’t mean to moan it sort of slipped out, Sine pulled back and leaned over Quill’s shoulder. She looked like a flare had set off under her cheeks

“What was that?” Sine hissed playfully

“N-Nothing, you tightened a little painfully, that’s all. It was nothing.” Quill said not making eye contact.

Sine ran his tongue along Quill’s right ear and she shivered biting her lip. Sine took Quill’s ear into his mouth, covering it in saliva. Quill continued to shake uncontrollably as Sine’s tongue pampered a sweet spot on Quill’s body

“S-Stop, please!” Quill’s voice betrayed her feeling and she gasped. Sine forced his tongue into her ear canal and Quill cooed, her mouth hanging open happily

“You’re telling me to stop, but your body is telling me to keep going.” Sine whispered “Which is it?”

“K-Keep going.” Quill whispered rubbing her muzzle against Sine’s coils.

Sine tightened his tail and Quill’s head fell backwards, Sine took her right ear into his mouth again and a large coil pressed across Quill’s other ear over her head. She was unable to see and the pleasuring was causing Quill to lose any form of communication, she was on too much of a pleasurable high for her brain to function. Sine was also enjoying the feeling of Quill struggling, playfully now, in his coils. Sine’s coils curled around her so that they kept her almost motionless but still left a ripple feeling effect, further relaxing Quill. Sine pulled back, his tongue trailing saliva off the damp ear

“Call me master.” Sine ordered

“W-what?” Quill asked calming down slightly as the main factor for her lack of brain functions stopped attacking

“You want me to continue, surrender yourself.” he moved in front of Quill, the coil around her eyes raising up. Quill locked eyes with Sine and she gasped. He head felt incredibly fuzzy staring at Sine’s eyes suddenly, her thoughts became unfocused and jumbled. She mumbled something then smiled faintly as the idea of submitting became more appealing, unknown to Quill her eyes were now glowing like Sine’s

“Y-Yes… Master… I surrender.” Quill cooed.

Sine chuckled but the sound was quickly stopped by Quill leaning up and, despite being hypnotised, kissing him. Sine’s big bad attitude and act fell apart like shattered glass, he grunted in surprise but didn’t move. He blinked as she pulled back

“Love me, master.” Quill cooed softly smiling, Sine managed a slight smile, trying to hide his blush.

Sine tortured Quill’s ears and body with his tail until she passed out into a peaceful sleep. Sine set her down and Quill’s hooves hung down either side of his tail and she smiled faintly against the massive scaly muscle

“Master, who’s she?” Sine glanced around at the source of the voice. An orange Pegasi, with a chestnut brown mane with a lighter orange streak and a triangle, the point facing down, with a cross in it as a cutie mark, stared at Sine as if upset

“Hello Bambi, meet Quill. Somepony who wanted to write an article about me… I think I went too far playing with her.” Sine said Bambi walked slowly up beside his ‘master’

“So, is it my turn to be played with?” he asked Sine grinned, a giant coil lifting the Pegasi up

“Since you insist.” Sine whispered. Bambi smiled faintly.

Quill’s eyes fluttered opened and she glanced around from her high perch on Sine’s tail. She was still on a strange light headed buzz as if she’d been drinking, but she didn’t mind. She was too relieved to be alive. Quill took in the scene; Sine was fast asleep with another pony coiled up not too far away, he looked incredibly at peace even if trapped. Quill, thankfully, was not trapped. She slid down Sine’s tail, quietly retrieved her belongings and was about to head off when she hesitated. She walked slowly back over to Sine, leaned down and kissed his forehead, Sine blushed faintly. She stepped back and took a silent picture, glad that he looked incredibly peaceful

“You’re not so bad, just a big puppy aren’t you.” Quill whispered with faint inspiration poking the back of her mind

“I’ll visit again, promise.” Quill whispered

“Good, wouldn’t want to lose such a curious toy.” Sine opened his eyes and grinned at the shocked and scared Quill “Now get going,” Sine grinned “Before I change my mind.” He threatened. Quill bolted, but her face was unnaturally warm for some reason.
