Coma
Twilight was galloping through the Everfree forest in an attempt to find out what this thing is. She was closely followed by the other elements and both princesses. It had nearly taken 15 minutes to get everyone together (thanks to Rainbow) and another half hour to get to the Everfree. By now, though, they were coming towards the clearing. Twilight saw the princesses slowing down and she, as well as the others, followed suit. Breaking through some bushes, they couldn't believe what they saw...
Brandon's POV
GODDAMNIT GET OFF OF ME! Jesus, that.... thing almost gutted me. Only ten rounds left. Damn.
As I struggled to regain my footing, another one of those strange wolves jumped on me. It was then joined by his other three 'friends' as they tried to rip through my armor. They failed miserably, and I slammed my left elbow into one's gut and fired three rounds into the other's skulls. Two of which died instantly while the third got lucky, as it only broke off his jaw.
While I was trying to hold him off with my empty rifle, the other one decided to say hello when he jumped behind me and onto my back. I fired one round into the one behind me and another into the one in front of me.
I guess I hit the one behind me in the leg, because after I broke the other's back on my knee, I turned around to see that it was limping. I pulled my gun up and aimed as I shot one round in its right eye and another dead center in its head.
I quickly spun around and emptied another two rounds into the last wolf as it charged at me.
Lowering my magnum in victory, I smiled as I looked down on it's corpse and flipped it off. I then turned around to head back to my camp, but stopped when something pricked me in my neck. I lifted my hand up and pulled it out before looking at it.
It was a dart of some sort and looked like it had some weird yellow-ish/green liquid on the tip. I stared at it for a full three seconds before passing out on the ground...
Something Interesting
Twilight, like all ponies at this time, was tired. She would normally have something important to study up on or have her royal duties to attend to, but the week before was very emptied of things to do. Even though she has become an alicorn, most ponies still go to Celestia or Luna if they need something. Twilight for now was a second option. Not that it was a bad thing. She had more time at night to chart stars.
While she was looking for her telescope to do just that, she heard something. A small bang was heard against the sound of crickets and leaves. She was about to excuse it as irrelevant, until she heard it again, then again, then again. Twilight then decided, her curiosity getting the better of her, to go out and examine the noise. She teleported to the castle doors and slowly opened them.
When she got out, she heard the noise again. This time, though, much louder. She looked around for the source. Not seeing anything, she was about to leave to find her telescope again, until she saw a very stressed Fluttershy and a tired looking Rainbow Dash with wide eyes running/flying toward her.
"Twilight! Twilight, please hurry!", was the first thing that was said loudly out of Fluttershy in over three months. "Something's being attacked by Timberwolves!"
"Something?"
"It's some big, weird, creature. Flutters doesn't know what it is, and neither do I! The things got, like, twelve Timberwolves on it's tail!". By now though, Twilight was already hooked on finding out what it was. "Spike!" she yelled. He eventually poked his head from around the corner of the large doors. Since Twilight was going to chart stars, he had to be up to help her when the need arose.
"Yea Twilight?" he asked nonchalantly. "I need you to send a letter to Princess Celestia."...
