“Are you sure that’s where our target is? I don’t see anything beside wasteland and dust like everything else here. Besides its too hot here, lets finish the mission and go back to base already, where it’s cool and comfortable.” Hooves said as she complains, crossing her hooves while fanning herself and a unicorn beneath her with her wings flapping up and down rapidly.
“Oh ye of little faith, yes the castle is there I can feel the magical aura covering the place. It is very faint but of course as the greatest and most powerful unicorn I can feel it. Now stop complaining and keep fanning. I’d rather not use magic to cool us both in case the sentries notice the magic power.” Lulamoon said with irritation, her hoof holding the communication device secure in her ear.
“If we know it’s there, why are we waiting here in a hot and dirty cave instead of assaulting the castle?” Hooves said with confusion as she continues fanning both herself and Lulamoon in order to cool down.
“Because Heartstring have the right idea, if we do not know where Celestia is we risk her escaping before we can reach her.
Leave it to her to find them first, besides her puppet can plant explosives first in the castle before we move in order to soften them up. Damn pyromaniac, if not fire she’s obsessing over the former human at the base.” Lulamoon grumbled.
“He’s nice I don’t get why you don’t like him. A bit quiet, but he’s one of us. Who else will maintain our gear, it’s not like we have giant hands to repair our gear and know how to use it. As a former human he knows how to operate those giant hands he has on his back.” Hooves pointed out, frowning a bit with Lulamoon’s attitude.
Before Lulamoon can answer Heartstring voice can be heard over the communication device in their ears.
“Stop the chatter you two it’s getting annoying, I’ve finished planting the explosives and currently being escorted to our targets. Be ready when the castle explodes, proceed to assault the castle, take down any remaining guard and rush to my position. Check your heads-up display I have mapped the castle and make sure to follow the route calculated to my position.” Heartstring said through the communication line.
Hearing this Lulamoon grinned and rising to stand and position her-self near the cave entrance.
While Hooves lands and stretches her wings, and checks her gears for any malfunction.
“Finally, time for action for a minute there I thought you were slipping Heartstring.” Lulamoon replied smirking at Heartstring response.
“By the end of the day I bet I can bag more alicorn-level pony than you do Lulamoon.” Hearstring said with a challenging tone.
“You’re on, loser buy the drinks back at base.” Lulamoon said accepting the challenge.
“Better hurry, target is on sight and if you’re not here yet then they will retreat and I will have first strike in my favor. Timer set for 10 seconds from now, when the bombs explode just rush through the gate. I planted a bomb at each gate to clear the way for both of you.” Heartstring advised
“Well you heard the lady, Hooves ready for action?” Lulamoon asks
“Just try to keep up Lulamoon.” Hooves answered.
Then somewhere over the wasteland the sound of multiple explosions can be heard and a castle appeared suddenly, as the magic device maintaining the shield get caught in the explosion.
From their position they can see about a dozen guards scrambling to stand when the gate blew open and the way into the castle is clear.
Hooves then rushed inside as a red blur and strike each changeling guard with a back-handed hoof to their head, and each falls unconscious to the ground.
“Hey no fair, Hooves come back here! I wasn’t ready!” Lulamoon hurriedly teleported inside the castle and started blasting guards with freeze spells.
Both Lulamoon and Hooves rampages through the castle until they saw their target inside the inner castle garden.
As Hooves finishes another guard, the last guard escaped and run into the inner garden towards the direction of their target.
“Hold it Hooves, I want to try something.” Lulamoon stops Hooves pursuit.
Lulamoon then shaped an orb made of concentrated ice spell covered in spikes.
“I have a new spell I want to try out, it’s called frost seeker.” Lulamoon explained.
As the floating orb become ready to throw, Lulamoon locked on the guard near the party and cast the spell.
The orb launch from the castle gate and then it swerves and homes directly for the guard.
The bluish orb then strikes the guard and freezes the guard solid which causes some changeling maids near their target to scream in fear.
One of their targets, Queen Chrysalis then boomed a challenge towards their direction with a demand to show themselves.
“Hooves follow my lead. Our audience is demanding our presence. Let’s indulge them shall we?” Lulamoon said with a smirk.
Lulamoon then proceed to teleport over to the inner garden where an exchange of introduction carried out.
Some changeling guards have to be strike down by Hooves and then she proceeds to freeze the fleeing changeling maids.
Lulamoon then deliberately provokes the target in order to distract them while keeping an eye on Heartstring puppet in Princess Celestia’s embrace.
As a fight seems close at hand Heartstring shows her hand by incapacitating Princess Celestia.
With Princess Celestia down and Heartstring comes into play it was a simple matter to overpower the lone Changeling Queen.
With their target secured and Chrysalis frozen, they proceed to defeat the other hives reinforcement.
That reinforcement was defeated within 10 minutes.
The reinforcement did try to evacuate Chrysalis and Celestia, but Chrysalis was stuck frozen to the ground and Celestia is being covered by Hooves, any changeling that gets close to her was quickly brought down.
“Job well done everypony, we’re cleared for the 2nd phase of the plan.” Heartstring congratulated Hooves and Lulamoon.
“Whatever Heartstring, it’s because I’m so great and powerful that we’ve made it in the first place.” Lulamoon rolled her eyes at Heartstring.
“Oh be quiet Lulamoon, you haven’t forgotten to bring the scroll right?” Heartstring replied with irritation
Lulamoon then take out the scroll and toss it without care at Chrysalis frozen form.
“There, now can we get back to base already? I’ll do anything to get out of this damn heat.” Lulamoon replied
“Not yet, Hooves are supposed to return to our forward base immediately at the frozen north through our prepared battleground at the center of the Ghastly Gorge. A teleportation disc has been set up for her. While you, Lulamoon are expected to wait for Chrysalis forces tomorrow and make sure you stop them there.” Heartstring ordered
Hooves nodded and carefully pick up Princess Celestia’s still form using the talon on her rear hooves.
“Then I will see you both at the forward base, I would be disappointed if both of you do not make it tomorrow.” Hooves saluted before flying with Chrysalis towards Ghastly Gorge to the west.
“Fine what will you do Heartstring?” Lulamoon asked
“I’ll be on standby on the Galleon with you as an intelligence analyst and as back-up if you can’t handle Chrysalis forces yourself.” Heartstring answered.
“Don’t interfere, I will command our forces myself and stop them there.” Lulamoon growled
“Fine, we will see how you command the Legion yourself. I will be there as an observer to see how we can improve the Legion performance.” Heartstring conceded.
“Good, for now let’s have a race who can reach the Galleon battleground first. Last one there is spoiled milk.” Lulamoon grinned before teleporting across the wasteland towards the Gorge.
“Sigh, how immature...” Heartstring complained before teleporting as well, leaving a scene of devastation.
As both Unicorns disappear a few changelings start stirring and dragging their body towards Chrysalis frozen form.
One of the changelings picks up the scroll and hold on to it, while other changelings started to chip away at the ice covering Chrysalis.
It will take a while before they managed to free Chrysalis, by the time Chrysalis is free it is already dusk.
Once Chrysalis is free and the order to march issued they returned to their hives and proceed to rouse the swarm for war.
Location: Center of Ghastly Gorge – Galleon Battleground
Hooves have finally reached the Equestria Galleon where the 2nd stage of their plan will be carried out.
Hooves then flew inside the deck and flying carefully inside the ship corridors with Princess Celestia respectfully carried on her front hooves.
While travelling to the captains quarter she passed a few of the Nightmare Warriors on sentry duty, noticing her approach but allowing her passage as they recognized one of their code-bearers.
One of the Nightmare Warriors opens the door to the captain’s quarter for her entry.
As she resides inside the quarter, she enters the teleportation disc and activated it, transporting them instantly north across Equestria.
Location: Frozen North mountain range - North of Vanhoover city
Both the disc, Hooves and Celestia suddenly disappears through a slip in space from the confines of the captain’s quarter only to reappear in a frozen wasteland instead.
Around them the blizzards are howling and snow hails obscure Hooves vision limiting it to a stone throw away.
Hooves then notices a small red beacon light from one of the mountain wall opposite her, she approaches the red light and she can hear the sound of siren coming from the mountain when she is literally face to face with the mountain wall where the red light is located.
In front of her the mountain wall opens up before her, there is some light coming from inside the mountain, but for the most part it is also dark inside as they do not wish for the locals outside to see the light and come investigating.
No, that won’t do at all.
As she enters the mountain with relief as the interior are temperature regulated, she monitors the equipment available at their forward base in the frozen north mountain range facing the ocean.
She looks at their fighters with satisfaction. A dozen vulture fighters have been activated today in preparation for the ground operation.
They are in standby in case something went wrong with the 2nd phase of the plan.
She counted around a dozen vulture fighters in guardian mode ready to fly on short notice.
She hopes Lulamoon and Heartstring can hold their own in the gorge.
She would hate to see these fighters launched to strafe run the swarm in order to force Chrysalis to seek help from Equestria, unlike the Nightmare Warriors these things do not have stun or drain setting on their blaster.
The energy coursing through their mechanical veins are an angry red, much more powerful than the green energy but less versatile in application.
Much like her in fact, sometimes she wishes she can do magic as well but that’s unicorn territory.
Nightmare force energy facts
Among the Nightmare forces, 3 different spectrums of energies are used, in order these are green for support, blue for capture and red for destruction.
The green energy is used to drain or inject energies to either organic beings or mechanical constructs, this energy are used for a wide range of application. The green energy can be used to incapacitate enemies by draining energy or revitalize allies by giving said energies depending on whether the setting is on positive or negative current. Focused application of the green energy has been proven to have a healing effect on organic being or increased performance for mechanical construct.
Next the blue energy is primarily used for capture as the manipulation of the blue energy disrupts or blocks the flow of energy within organic beings or mechanical construct and keeps them in stasis. While the green energy can also incapacitate enemies, only the blue energy can do this for extended periods of time without permanent damage. Focused application of blue energies have been proven to have a stasis effect on living beings and this makes it ideal for storing fresh supplies or produce for extended period of time without expending additional energy on cold storage. In some circumstances intruders might find themselves frozen and dragged to the dungeon for interrogation, but in this case the green spectrum would be more appropriate use for stunning opponents as it takes less intensive energy for the same purpose.
Finally the red energy is the most destructive of the three spectrum of energy, it emits a highly volatile energy that will convert into high voltage electricity in contact with organic beings or mechanical structure. Specialized material must be manufactured and specially designed for these red energies to be utilized as the power source of mechanical construct. At the cost of more intensive labor and the difficulty involved in mining the materials, any mechanical construct powered by the red energy will have vastly increased performance and the ability to be an effective torpedo when the power source goes critical. Focused application of red energy have been proven to have a nuclear effect, the thermal power is such that metals around the impact site will be converted to plasma.
Through the laws of physics these three energy spectrum have a relationship where one is strong against and weak to another.
Green spectrum energy overpowers blue spectrum energies by taking away the energy used to block or disrupt energy flow but is weak against red spectrum energy which simply burns through it.
Blue spectrum energy disrupts and blocks the flow of the red spectrum energy and renders it inert but is weak against the green spectrum energy as it takes the energy necessary to maintain those blocks and disruption.
Red spectrum energy overpowers and burns through the green energy but is weak against the blue spectrum energy which blocks and disrupts its energy flow, rendering it inert.
In summary, the relationship between the energy spectrum is: Green > Blue > Red > Green.

Hooves then proceed to the medical bay where she gently put Princess Celestia on the bed waiting for medical inspection.
A moment later the door opens to let in a familiar sight, one of the code-bearer, “Lust”.
“Good to see you again Dusk, haven’t seen you a while. I thought you’d be raiding the sea-ponies for gems that can be only be found in the abyss of the deep sea." Hooves greeted good-naturedly.
“Hoovesy! I would have been raiding sea-ponies if Princess Nightmare Moon did not call me back to check on her sister health.” Dusk replied as she glides in effortlessly through the air.
Hooves then notice the white-colored heart-shaped clip on her ear.
“Ah, still the white-colored one. You’re still gunning for code bearer “Solitude” I see and he has yet to accept your invitation for a date. Sometimes I don’t know why you bother.” Hooves sighed with sympathy.
“Don’t say that I wouldn’t be here if he did not save me back in the human world. After the mane-six destroyed our gems we were lost and scared, it was desperation that drove us. Without the gem Sirens cannot feed and it was only a matter of time until we die of starvation. It was then that I know what Aria and Adagio really thought about me, as a spare. They tie me up and were in the process of sacrificing me to make a new gem until he dashed in and kick both of them into the ritual circle instead. Sigh, when he unties me he apologized for… for... doing that to Aria and Adagio as he passes their remains into my hands.” Dusk tears up remembering that dark episode of her life.
“Wow that was cool of him, then what?” Hooves probes for more stories.
“Well I was crying and crying on the ground until he put a hand on my shoulder and said to me if there’s nothing there for me anymore then whether I would like to join him in returning to Equestria.” Dusk answered
Hooves nodded and motion Dusk to continue.
“Well I accepted and then we went through an old mirror in the school basement. I found that it turns out that he’s actually a grey-colored unicorn and I admit I thought he was a Night Guard at first until he admitted that he’s actually Princess Nightmare Moon student and possibly friend. I took the best decision of my life then when I asked him to let me join, and here we are. This heart-shaped pin will stay white until he agrees to take me on a date. Only then will I color this pin red showing that my heart fills with happiness.” Dusk answered while squealing excitedly.
“And here I was wondering what’s taking so long for the report to arrive and lo and behold here I am looking at a pair of fillies gossiping like old mares.” Princess Nightmare Moon dryly said as she enters the medical bay.
Hooves jolted and looked abashed at Nightmare Moon while trying to make her-self look as small as possible.
“Princess Nightmare Moon! Sorry about this, we were just finishing up. I’ll get started on that report right away.” Hooves saluted as she hurriedly exit the medical bay.
Dusk looks embarrassed and covers her mouth with both her hooves.
“Now as interesting as the romantic relationships between my code-bearers are, I hope you can start the medical screening for my sister. Please make sure that she stays unconscious, it’s high time that we have a ponyal chat with each other.” Nightmare Moon said as she stands near Celestia and checks her condition.
“Yes princess! You can leave it to me!” Dusk said as she starts charging up her magic through the scythes on her hooves.
“Good, I will delve into her dreamscape while you check on her. If there’s anything just shake me a bit and I shall be awake.” Nightmare Moon said as she cast the spell that allowed her to delve into ponies mindscape at Celestia.
The last thing she sees before her consciousness separate from her physical body into a ghostly form was Dusk approaching Celestia and places her scythes gently on Celestia abdomen for a diagnosis spell.
In her ghost form she approaches Celestia and dive into her head until she disappears entirely into Celestia.
For Nightmare Moon everything became a blur as she delves into Celestia’s dreamscape in a rush of her memories and sensations.
Once she enters Celestia’s dreamscape she suddenly can hear Celestia’s voice and not only that, she can hear the passion in her words.
“My darling finally we are alone, just you and me. I can’t get enough of your luscious dark skin. Your sweet and creamy filling, oh and the curves, don’t forget the curves such red curves with sprinkles of brown on them. I can’t wait to taste you darling should I take my time savoring you of gobble you up right here and now? Let me have a lick of you first darling… ooohh that hits the spot.” Celestia said passionately and moaned with satisfaction.
Nightmare Moon was taken aback, she couldn’t believe her ears. This is Celestia?
She wonders what the both of them have been doing in the past few years without her or Luna.
The Celestia that she knows was such a stiff board but this Celestia is spouting words like a Casanova.
Nightmare Moon then rushed into the space where she knows Celestia reside.
“Now just wait a minute sister! I’m happy with how you finally found someone to love but spare me the details of your… Oh my…” Nightmare Moon trailed after seeing Celestia in a bed chamber in disbelief
Nightmare Moon gazes at the innocent cake on a fancy stand beside Celestia, all that for a pastry.
She sighed as Celestia hurriedly put the whole cake in her mouth.
“Hnishs noom! Hiwsd dadw u inmsdhbo ne!” Celestia mumbled with a mouthful of cake.
“… No I am not going to hurt you, just here for a chat. And finish your food first before you talk please…” Nightmare Moon said with exasperation.
Celestia flushed red before chewing her cake and swallowing it.
“Last we met you tried to plunge Equestria into eternal night and take over as its ruler. Forgive me if I have difficulty believing you now.” Celestia dryly quipped.
Nightmare Moon then joins Celestia on the bed chamber and making herself comfortable before answering Celestia in front of her.
“Oh that, you can keep the throne, I mean who want to rule over Equestria if I can’t even enjoy the love and appreciation of my own night due to some paperwork that I have to check and sign. As well as listening to the complaint of the court. I’d sooner banish myself to the Moon first before I have to be locked up in my own castle stuck behind the desk doing a thankless job. But what am I saying, of course you know that. Otherwise you wouldn’t run away and leave all the paperwork for Luna to handle right?” Nightmare Moon answered and smirked when she sees Celestia’s abashed expression.
“Oh… What about eternal night, political power, wealth?” Celestia offered dangling the carrot.
Nightmare Moon yawned and looks bored hearing the offer.
“I’m having my eternal night in the frozen north where it will not force ponies to starve by killing the plants that sustains ponies’ livelihood. I can’t really understand why I did not thought about it in the first place to be honest. Political power how’s that working for you by the way? I heard the Griffon Empire is flexing their muscle again and encroaching on our territories. For wealth, I am building a resort here in the frozen north for ponies to be able to enjoy my beautiful night. I believe I will have all the bits I need by catering to ponies on holiday and honeymoon’s and such. The outdoor hot springs are close to completion and mares and stallions are welcome. We even have a private hot springs for the more… amorous couple.” Nightmare Moon answered while smirking.
“Oh… you can have the most gifted student as an apprentice?” Celestia feebly offered
“Pass, I already have an apprentice and he’s taking his study well.” Nightmare Moon countered
“Oh, anybody I know? Who is it?” Celestia curiously asked.
“I am entitled to my secrets Celestia, I already told you a fair share myself.” Nightmare Moon said
Celestia frowned at this but eventually conceded that yes, Nightmare Moon is entitled to her secrets.
“Well I am halfway convinced that you turned over a new leaf since your goal seems to be achieved not at the cost of the rest of Equestria. I have only one question left though, what do you plan to do with myself and Luna?” Celestia asked
“Nothing, I just need you to stay here for a while. Two days at most. I will speak with Luna and explains things to her myself eventually. As for the motive I can say it’s for your benefit and Chrysalis as well.” Nightmare Moon explains
Celestia starts to fret about Chrysalis and look around for her in case she’s in the dreamscape with her as well.
“Oh! Where is she by the way? Have you taken her as well with you? I was unconscious before Chrysalis so I don’t see what has happened to her. You did not hurt her did you?” Celestia rapidly ask beside herself with worry.
“Not to worry, she’s not hurt I know that for a fact. She was left behind at the scene of battle frozen, but she should be free and fine right now.” Nightmare Moon tried to soothe Celestia
“Oh thank goodness...” Celestia said with relief
“And now she is in the process of raising the swarm to save you. How romantic is that Celestia? Chrysalis, your dashing prince raised an army to save her distressed princess from the clutches of evil old me. Who knew what dastardly deed am I doing to you right now?” Nightmare Moon said teasingly while blowing on Celestia’s ear
Celestia blushed red and hastily tried to force Nightmare Moon away from her by flailing her hooves at her.
Unfortunately, for Celestia she went through Nightmare Moon like she was not even there.
Nightmare Moon laughed loudly and good-naturedly at Celestia flank exposed in the air while the rest of her on the soft pillows and bed.
“Have you forgotten Celestia? In the dreamscape, I am its ruler and goddess. You cannot do anything to me while I can arrange it so that you will feel fear, happiness, pain or pleasure. You cannot escape this realm without my say so as well so accept it Celestia. It’s only for a few days, while we’re here lets catch up on things for old times’ sake, sister.” Nightmare Moon said.
Celestia pouted but have no choice but to accept that she’s a prisoner in her realm.
“Very well, it’s not that I have a choice in the matter but you said that you are doing this for my and Chrysalis benefit. What do you mean by that?” Celestia asks
“When Chrysalis tried to save you and failed she will have no choice but to approach Equestria for help. An enemy of my enemy is my friend right? And once both of them join forces and try to save you again I will allow them to beat my forces eventually and return you to them without harm. After the fight it will be up to you to incorporate the Changelings to Equestria and make sure the relationship will be a successful one.” Nightmare Moon explains.
Celestia expression becomes thoughtful.
“Yes that is my desire as well ever since I stay with Chrysalis but she’s resistant to the idea. Chrysalis is always saying that Equestria is not ready for such a union.” Celestia frowned
“And they will never be ready, ponies fear what is different and the natural changelings look too different for them to be accepted. Unless… Something happen that threw out their hesitation and doubt. Something that is dire enough to force them to overlook their differences in order to survive. I am that catalyst. I will make them believe that they will not survive alone. Change is on the horizon Celestia. A new era is upon us. Will you accept it or hinder it?” Nightmare Moon presses on eyes alight with zeal
“I…I… Will any ponies lose their life over this?” Celestia asks with trembling voice
“What I do, I do for the good of Equestria. No innocent life will be lost if I can help it. Equestria shall prosper or the world will burn with it.” Nightmare Moon promised.
“Then I will support you in this, I may not agree with your method, but I can see the benefit of you helping us, other kingdoms are not invading simply because of myself and Luna. We always know that once we are gone, Equestria is doomed, because of this I always fear for my little ponies. While your method is extreme I hope that there will be a brighter future for all of us when this is done and over with.” Celestia nodded accepting Nightmare Moon goal and motivation.
Before Nightmare Moon can reply she felt that some-pony is shaking her on the physical realm.
Remembering Dusk, she informs Celestia of her leave of absence.
“Please wait sister. It seems like one of my code-bearers is requesting for a meeting with me. But before I go I will change your dreamscape into a lucid dream. You can live a past memory again or create an entirely new event altogether.” Nightmare Moon said before turning around and disappears back into the physical realm.
*Back in the medical bay
“Princess! Oh thank Luna you’re back! I have found something when checking on Princess Celestia that I feel you should know!” Dusk said near Nightmare Moon, lifting her tail away from Nightmare Moon’s head.
“What is it? What’s wrong with Celestia that you feel the need to inform me?” Nightmare Moon worriedly glanced at Celestia’s still form on the bed of the medical bay.
Dusk was nervously pacing before answering Nightmare Moon.
“Nothing is wrong with Celestia per say but there is something that shocked me when I found something odd during the medical examination.” Dusk tried to explain.
“Well? Out with it, don’t leave me in suspense.” Nightmare Moon said with irritation and worry.
“Well if you can please look at the screen.” Dusk requested as she maneuver a mechanical scanner over Celestia’s form.
Nightmare Moon looks at the screen and can see something pulsed on the screen with regular pace.
“What am I looking at? Is it her heart? Is something wrong with her heart?” Nightmare Moon asked worriedly.
“That’s not her heart princess that above it is her heart.” Dusk said while pointing at a beating mass much bigger above it as she zoomed out of image for a clearer perspective.
“Then what is it? Is it a parasite? Is it an infestation? Will Celestia be alright?” Nightmare Moon asks with worry.
“In a sense princess, Princess Celestia is pregnant with a foal.” Dusk finally said.
Nightmare Moon then proceeds to faint on the medical bay floor.
“Princess!” Dusk screamed looking in disbelief at Nightmare Moon still form slumped to the ground.
When Nightmare Moon became aware of her surroundings again she notices that she is laying on one of the bed in the medical bay, next to her is Celestia, still sedated.
“Princess! How are you feeling?” Dusk asks as she approaches Nightmare Moon bed.
“I have a headache but I am fine. What has happened while I was out?” Nightmare Moon asks as she clears the fog in her mind.
“Lulamoon and Heartstring has returned and they also reported that they have succeeded with the 2nd phase of the plan, Lulamoon suffers magical exhaustion and is currently on a magic recovery regime, consuming some of our stored magic recovery potion. Since Heartstring did not participate in the battle she is fine and is now currently reviewing the battle.” Dusk reported.
“How long have I been unconscious?” Nightmare Moon asks.
“For the better part of the day princess, by then the battle is already over. Scratch, code bearer ‘Ambition’ has reported that the changeling swarm and Queen Chrysalis are currently in her area of operation, which is Canterlot. Queen Chrysalis has met Princess Luna and the elements of harmony, they have remained in the royal chamber ever since but Princess Luna has issued a royal order for the militia of Canterlot to be assembled and be ready on castle ground at dawn.
“Good, events have proceeded to play out as we desired. Now leave us Dusk, I wish to be alone with Celestia. “Yes princess.” Dusk then glides out of the medical bay to leave Nightmare Moon in peace.
Nightmare Moon then approaches Celestia on her bed and stared at her peaceful sleeping expression.
“What am I going to do with you sister?” Sighed Nightmare Moon as she once again dives into Celestia dreamscape.
When Nightmare Moon encounters Celestia’s consciousness she found that Celestia is also sleeping inside the dreamscape.
“Celestia, wake up I have news for you.” Nightmare Moon gently shakes Celestia.
Celestia groggily wake up and saw that Nightmare Moon is back.
“What took you so long? I run out of things to amuse myself long ago.” Celestia complained.
“Certain… facts have been found by my medical staff which is shocking to say the least. When was your last heat period Celestia?” Nightmare Moon asked.
Celestia frowns, the confusion obvious on her face.
“I do not understand the question Nightmare. What are you trying to say?” Celestia asks with confusion
“You are pregnant Celestia. When was your last heat period? I wish to know how far along is the foal.” Nightmare Moon asks impatiently.
Celestia promptly proceeds to faint.
Nightmare Moon sighed.
She conjured a pail of water over Celestia’s form and dumps it over her, soaking her wet with water.
Celestia wake up with a shock due to the sensation of cold water washed over her.
“Ahhhhh!!!! Oh my... Oh my… I can’t be pregnant. I’m not ready for parenthood. Somepony help me!”Celestia whines as cold sweats starts to forms on her face.
Nightmare Moon brows are raised high with disbelief, then proceed to slap Celestia repeatedly.
“You are delirious sister, have you forgotten we are the last of alicorns? In the thousands of year since we live, how many times have we tried to conceive with no result? Luna did not even birth me. It was a one-time occurrence per alicorn with the assistance of magic. Believe us we know, we tried repeating the procedure, it does not work when I tried it again. But with this discovery, I am ecstatic that we have discovered changeling queens can impregnate alicorns. How soon can we request Chrysalis to impregnate myself and possibly Luna as well?” Nightmare Moon said with a straight face and a hopeful expression.
Celestia shocked expression give way to fury and she slapped Nightmare Moon back with a vengeance.
Too bad in her anger Celestia has forgotten that she is not able to touch Nightmare Moon without her approval, as her hooves phase through Nightmare Moon’s head.
“Chrysalis is mine sister! Keep your hooves of her!” Celestia said angrily.
Nightmare Moon shocked that her gentle sister can slap her own family, and can only stare dumbfounded at Celestia, even if it failed, it’s the intent that matters.
Fortunately, Nightmare Moon is not limited to such weakness in her realm.
Nightmare Moon narrowed her eyes and pounced at Celestia.
“Celestia! The fate of alicorns is at stake and here you are keeping it for yourself! Surely you can share her with the rest of us in order to save our race?” Nightmare Moon growled.
Celestia was ready for Nightmare Moon attack and viciously countered with an attack of her own, forgetting that its futile, lost in her anger.
“Get your own damn changeling queen! This one is mine! I’ve spent too many time and effort getting her to be mine!” Celestia growled back
The physical fight between sisters was fierce and should some other pony is there with them at that moment, they would have seen an epic fighting scene between two goddesses.
Nightmare Moon, offended at Celestia’s response continues to slap fight against Celestia with a vengeance.
“You’ve spent time and effort?! I don’t see you laboring to fight for the continuation of our race! I knew you wouldn’t understand! I’m glad I pony-napped both you and Chrysalis last year!” Nightmare Moon shouted, and with wide-eyes she realizes she just admitted something she should not have.
Celestia was incensed with Nightmare Moon admission and with a burst of renewed energy she pounced at Nightmare Moon with retribution as her sole intention, again she phased through and with her flank rising in the air.
“It was you?! We were worried sick after we were pony-napped, all those nights of worrying and feeling guilty over whether it’s either of our faults that the other was involved!” Celestia growled
“And I would have done it again, thanks to that we were able to confirm a theory of ours!” Nightmare Moon retorted as she runs to spare Celestia the embarrassment of making a fool of herself again.
“What is so important that you need to pony-napped both of us?!” Celestia shouted while chasing Nightmare Moon around
“Increasing our number of course, we managed to replicate the magic process that happens to Luna that birthed me. It succeeded and we are now working to give your alter ego a body of her own. Keep in mind this was before we found out Chrysalis can make alicorns pregnant.” Nightmare Moon said peeking from the corner of a pillar.
“You did what?!” Celestia shouted shocked at Nightmare Moon admission for the second time.
“Another sister will be coming for us whether you want it or not. You should be happy that our family is growing besides the one in you at the moment. We do not consider blueblood as a family of sort. He’s too deplorable for our taste. Now that we have the little foal though, I am reconsidering our previous attempt to geld him since there’s no need for us to depend on Blueblood for the chance of an alicorn reproduction.” Nightmare Moon said
“If she also wants to take over Equestria, you will have to be responsible for her action.” Celestia said with trepidation.
Nightmare Moon rolled her eyes and wave over the matter lightly.
“Oh please, from the impression I got from her the only place she wants to take over is a bed. Her primary negative emotion is lust. The body that she is making now from what is already formed has an even more… impressive build than yours.” Nightmare Moon said with a snicker
Celestia blinked and flushed red hearing that her alter ego is an amorous pony.
“Lust? Then what’s your primary emotion?” Celestia asked
“Its envy, but it should be obvious. At least it’s not distracting and it does push me to work hard for what I have.” Nightmare Moon answered with a shrug.
Celestia became sad and guilty hearing Nightmare Moon answer, remembering the time when Luna was depressed and sullen for a long time and she was too preoccupied to notice.
Celestia then tries to hug Nightmare Moon with affection and kisses her on the cheek while doing so, even if she is not able to touch physically, she’s still able to carry out the motion.
“Oh Nightmare Moon, I am sorry that you have to went through that.” Celestia apologizes
Once Celestia releases Nightmare Moon, adding a kiss on her cheek for good measure, Nightmare Moon smirked and with evil intention asked Celestia.
“If you’re really sorry then spill how did you get pregnant, I want all the detail. Better yet, just think about it now from start to end.” Nightmare Moon pushes.
Celestia frowns but complies with Nightmare Moon’s request.
“Alright, but I don’t see the point of doing this.” Celestia said complying.
Nightmare Moon then cupped Celestia’s head and with a hoof withdraws a silvery thread from Celestia’s mind, a memory made manifest in the dreamscape.
“Its done sister, look at this silvery thread. Inside this thread contains your memory of the event you’re currently focusing on.” Nightmare Moon said
Celestia looks at the silvery thread with wonder and trepidation.
With haste, Nightmare Moon then throws the thread to the air where it started to dissolves and ripples across the space around them.
The ripple then grows into a whirlpool of sounds and images which drags both Celestia and Nightmare Moon to the whirlpool center.
Celestia shrieked with fright as she disappears into the void at the center, she’s not alone as Nightmare Moon also disappears into the void as she went quietly into the void.
The magical phenomena then encompass the whole dreamscape, changing the scenery from a dreamscape to the changeling’s castle in the badlands.

Both Celestia and Nightmare Moon watches all this in their ethereal form, invisible and without substance.
Celestia tried to make noise and flailing wildly at Nightmare Moon to no avail, no matter what she did she‘s not able to make a noise or interact with anything, living or otherwise in this new environment, not even Nightmare Moon herself.
Nightmare Moon smiled and pointed at the bed at the end of the room where both Celestia and Chrysalis still forms are sleeping together.
Celestia only shakes her head helplessly, accepting that her most private memories are up for view.

Chrysalis snuggles at Celestia’s mane not willing to wake up due to how comfortable she is just laying there beside her.
Celestia’s soft mane, which smells like fresh morning dew and summer sun appeals greatly to Chrysalis.
Chrysalis can also feel the softness of her coat and her rhythmic breathing.
Chrysalis does not want this feeling to end.
Unfortunately good things must eventually come to an end as she can feel Celestia starts to shift as the morning sunray starts to seep in from the curtain and the balcony.
She’s thankful for the idea to send Raiden as Celestia’s replacement and organize Luna’s role expansion.
Ever since Luna became responsible for raising the sun as well she has become more beloved by the citizen of Equestria and she has since taken the responsibility of raising both the Moon and the sun seriously.
Chrysalis cannot be happier with how things are now.
The universe is still spinning, her kingdom is well-fed, Equestria is prospering and she has an unbelievable mare to share her bed every morning.
Everything is perfect, things cannot get any better.
“Chrysalis, wake up please, it’s time for your breakfast on bed.” Celestia’s voice sweetly reaches Chrysalis’s ears.
Chrysalis became confused on what does Celestia means by breakfast on bed.
As Chrysalis wake up and yawned loudly, with tears coming out of the corner of her eyes due to the transition from feeling lethargic to wakefulness, she feels something on her lips which surprises her to full alertness.
“Celestia! Oh my, it’s too early for this…” Chrysalis said blushing red at Celestia forwardness.
Celestia not taking no for an answer, kisses Chrysalis full on the lips and proceed to pour as much as love as she can down her throat.
Chrysalis protested feebly at first before she melted in a puddle of bliss and just enjoyed the feeling of sweet love flowing down her stomach.
After a few seconds Celestia stops kissing Chrysalis, but Chrysalis was still out of it as she dazedly stares at Celestia’s face.
Amused, Celestia proceed to bop Chrysalis muzzle and nuzzle Chrysalis’s cheek as well.
“Hi Chrysalis, its morning already and sunshine is wasting.” Celestia said as she rises out of the bed and sat in front of the mirror checking her appearance.
“Wha..What?” Chrysalis stuttered at Celestia with confusion.
Celestia took a letter on her muzzle and approaches Chrysalis with it, her cheek flushes a bit with embarrassment.
“Oh Chrysalis, don’t tell me you forget today is Heart and Hooves day? I would be so disappointed if you forgot what day today is.” Celestia whined cutely at Chrysalis, Celestia then pass the letter with the heart seal to Chrysalis.
Chrysalis took Celestia’s letter and opens it. Inside the letter was a simple note.

On one hoof she’s very happy with Celestia’s letter and offer.
On the other hoof, Chrysalis completely forgot about Heart and Hooves day!

Might take a while, advisors all over Equestria you know?” Chrysalis laugh awkwardly and she kicked herself when she realizes that she is rambling.
Chrysalis then rushed out of the royal chamber in a rush leaving a confused Celestia behind.
Celestia blinked and chuckled seeing Chrysalis panicked escape, she knows Chrysalis forgot what today is.
Celestia then walked to the balcony seeing Chrysalis rush and start ordering changelings left and right.
The changelings then move into a frantic frenzy of activity, the whole castle become alive with sound and movement.
Changelings’ maids cleaning the castle, changelings preparing the castle for festivities, preparing the decoration all hearts and hooves theme, changelings chefs fired up their kitchen for a banquet, even the changelings’ guard are abandoning their duty in favor of helping their brethren.
The changeling guard bigger size enables them to redecorate by moving heavier items and furniture.
As Celestia watchful gaze zoomed in on Chrysalis, she started hearing music, oh good a musical number is coming up.
Changelings rarely do a musical number so this is a treat.

Celestia noticed then that Chrysalis is almost finished with her preparation, she better prepare Chrysalis gift.
When Celestia left the balcony and back into the royal chamber she noticed the tray full of food on the bed, she must have missed the maid delivering her breakfast.
Celestia do not want to miss preparing her gift before Chrysalis come back so she levitated the tray and put it on the desk for later.

Chrysalis finishes her preparation and currently levitating boxes of gifts for Celestia.
She ordered the changelings to prepare new dresses, precious gem, exotic food and imported perfume from saddle Arabia and wrapped them in pink luxurious satin.
Remembering to get flower also she ordered a changeling to get her the most beautiful rose from the kitchen, even though they usually use it as garnish for Celestia’s dishes it would serve her well as a gift.
Chrysalis hold is full with the gifts trailing behind her levitating so she ordered the changeling in front of her to put it in her mouth to hold.
Chrysalis checked her mane, she feels her mane to be glossy and soft and they smell of roses.
Once Chrysalis is confident of her appearance and making sure the gift is secured and perfect she enters her chamber only to gape at the sight of Celestia inside.
Celestia’s body is gift-wrapped in a red glossy ribbon and bows, behind her there’s love-shaped pillows in frills.
Celestia’s is also lounging on the bed with the word happy hearts and hooves day floating above her in red.
Overall her appearance looks seductive and sweet.
Chrysalis eyes bugged out and she dropped her rose and the gifts dropped to the ground in a mess.
Celestia smiled and softly laughed at Chrysalis expression, she then pulled Chrysalis with magic and closes the door to the chamber and locked it securely.
Celestia then closes the curtain to the windows and sound-proof the whole chamber as well as conjuring floating hearts which glows in the dark, bathing the whole chamber in a red afterglow.
“Chrysalis, you can start un-wrapping your gift now…” Celestia demurred, wiggling her tail at Chrysalis.
“Wh..What…huh?” Chrysalis said with confusion on the floor, still out of it.
After that everything is a blur as both Chrysalis and Celestia images faded into the background.
In their place both the real Celestia and Nightmare Moon come into focus and back into the dreamscape.
Celestia is blushing red and Nightmare Moon is pensive or in a thoughtful mood.
“So Hearts and Hooves day was it? Then that makes it around 2-3 months ago, another 8-9 months to go before you gave birth. It will probably show that you’re pregnant after 3 more months. I hope that you will consider performing the wedding ceremony before the symptom starts becoming more noticeable then sister.” Nightmare Moon said in conclusion
“Kill me now.” Celestia said with embarrassment
Nightmare Moon chuckled at Celestia’s embarrassment.
“That would be unfortunate sister, since I want more of us in the world. In fact I would station one of my code-bearer as a full-time guardian in Canterlot once you return there for the wedding, and hopefully the coronation of Chrysalis as an official princess as well. Please be patient with Scratch as well, she’s the most handfuls of my code-bearers but nobody can argue with her as my enforcer. She will protect you with extreme prejudice of that I am sure.” Nightmare Moon said with a smirk.
Celestia groaned at the prospect of returning to Canterlot and back to dealing with the nobles and all the paperwork she has to go through to introduce a new princess.
As if doing it for Cadence and Twilight was not enough suffering.
“Well then, I have no intention of seeing both you and Chrysalis in coitus but I believe I can fast forward the memory to the time both of you finished.” Nightmare Moon said as she start the memory again and the process repeating itself as a whirlpool of magic swallow both Celestia and Nightmare Moon for the second time.
As both of Celestia and Nightmare Moon become immaterial and invisible, their surrounding becomes the royal chamber.
On the royal chamber bed, both Celestia and Chrysalis was laying there with a satisfied look on their faces.
The difference is that Chrysalis has shifted into a male form and is nuzzling at Celestia’s mane.
“That was amazing Celestia, this is the best Hearts and Hooves day ever.” Chrysalis said with a masculine voice.
Celestia then nuzzled Chrysalis back while giggling at Chrysalis.
“Oh come on Chrysalis, this is the only Hearts and Hooves day you went through with some other pony, so you can’t say it’s the best when you never go on a date on Hearts and Hooves day.” Celestia said with mirth.
Chrysalis grimaced at a long repressed memory.
“Remind me to tell you the story when Discord visits on Hearts and Hooves day asking for a date. To add insult to injury, he did it on a Monday and secondly he transform both of us into foals and my bed chamber into a carton box with a blanket.” Chrysalis shuddered.
Celestia laughed at the image Chrysalis as a filly and Discord bothering her for a date.
“Oh I’d pay to see that.” Celestia said as she giggled again.
“Well, if it would make you happy I can show you the image of what it looks like when it happens.” Chrysalis said as she moved closer to Celestia and crossed both of their horn and cast a spell for transferring memory.
Memory formed in Celestia mind and what an adorable pair those two made. Celestia resolve to remember this memory to cheer her up in the future.
Celestia laughed loudly and then kissed Chrysalis full on the lips.
“Chrysalis, I thank you for sharing me your cute moment, my handsome & manly stallion. Does it bother you sharing it with me a moment when you’re vulnerable?” Celestia asked good-naturedly.
Chrysalis is embarrassed but is composing herself more and more.
“Well, I figured showing you this memory would make it up for my prank at the last Nightmare Night.” Chrysalis guiltily while shifting uncomfortably as Celestia’s mood soured.
Celestia sighed as the mood is lost, and then turns into annoyance.
“Sigh Chrysalis, what a way to ruin the moment.” Celestia said annoyed.
Chrysalis looks at Celestia with worry.
“I mean, yes it was mean to prank me into the castle basement and scared me into believing there was a monster in the basement. Stops my heart for a moment there but it was nothing compared to when I realized it was you I blasted through the castle Chrysalis.” Celestia said trailing her hoof at Chryalis cheek, kissing it again softly.
“Yeah, it took me a week to get back in shape. Did I really look that scary to you Celestia?” Chryalis said
“I can show you my memory what you look like then, maybe you’ll understand why I blasted your ugly face into oblivion.” Celestia said offering her horn to transfer the memory.
“Ouch Celestia, that hurt my feeling. It couldn’t be that scary right?” Chrysalis said good-naturedly
Celestia shiver and grimaced remembering what Chrysalis look like then.
“No it was really scary and on Nightmare Night also. I didn’t think I can sleep after that. Even remembering it still gives me shivers. Are you sure you want to see what you look like then?” Celestia asked.
“Just give it to me you big softy, I can’t remember much before the blast, but I’m sure it’s not that bad.” Chrysalis said with impatience as both Chrysalis and Celestia locked their horn together and Celestia cast the spell to transfer the memory.
“AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!” Chrysalis screamed loudly and fainted.
Celestia stared at Chrysalis unconscious form and snorted.
“I’m taking back that manly comment, really it was bad yes but at least I did not faint.” Celestia said rolling her eyes.
Then everything starts to become a blur and the royal chamber melted into nothingness.
Out of the nothingness, the form of both the real Celestia and Nightmare Moon materializes back into the dreamscape.
Nightmare Moon is filled with mirth, and it’s not often she’s in a good mood, her responsibility seldom give the chance for her to relax and enjoy herself.
“That was entertaining Celestia, we should have dinner together in the future. I look forward to tease Chrysalis that she fainted because of something she did herself.” Nightmare Moon said with amusement.
Celestia pouted at Nightmare Moon but can’t even produce the willpower to argue with Nightmare Moon, so she let it go.
Nightmare Moon then suddenly pounced at a surprised Celestia, pinning Celestia with her back on the bed.
Both of them tumbled on the bed a bit before Nightmare Moon secured Celestia, tying her up with red ribbons and bows just like in Celestia’s memory but this time Nightmare Moon make sure it actually binds Celestia tightly, it’s good to be a goddess of dreams.
Nightmare Moon then kisses Celestia’s stomach while cooing at Celestia’s exposed abdomen.
“Little one, I’ll be the best auntie you’ve ever have. You’ll be the cutest most adorable foal ever in Equestria. Yes you are… Yes you are.” Nightmare Moon said with a giggle.
Celestia groans at Nighmare Moon from her position bound like a wrapped gift for Hearts and Hooves day.
“Great, Luna will act just like you when I tell her for sure.” Celestia complained.
“Well we are both originally the same pony. What do you think Celestia? Is it going to be an alicorn or a flutter-pony like the element of honesty, Applejack’s foal?” Nightmare Moon asked as she stays on top of Celestia’s abdomen grinning like a Cheshire cat.
“It doesn’t matter what the foal will be. I will love the foal just the same.” Celestia answered.
“I hope it will be a flutter-pony. Oh if it’s a mare she will be so beautiful when she grow up. I always have a soft-spot for fillies. I wonder how she would look like as a flutter-pony… Not that we won’t love the foal if it’s not a flutter-pony Celestia, but something new is always appreciated after so long living. Maybe she would look like this grown up?” Nightmare Moon then shaped an adult flutter-pony mare combining both the feature of Celestia and Chrysalis, a dreamscape image of what could be.
The illusion of an adult flutter-pony starts to form, with white coat, a crown and straight mane colored a glossy blue and a pink insect wing.
The mare also has a horn and a pink butterfly as her cutie mark.
Overall she is a very beautiful and cute flutter-pony mare, with deep sapphire blue eyes.
Nightmare Moon is certain that she and Luna would have to beat stallions away with a stick to stop them bothering their niece once she grows up.
“Oh she is so adorable! Celestia! Quick look at her, isn’t she the most adorable thing?” Nightmare Moon gushed.
Celestia look at the image that is supposed to be her daughter if she turns out to be a flutter-pony and fell in love.
“Yes sister, she is indeed most adorable. Now then release me and if you don’t mind how long until we are released from this dreamscape?” Celestia grumbled at her situation.
Nightmare Moon then releases Celestia from under her and unwrap Celestia to free her.
“Oh fine Celestia, be a spoilsport. I’ll arrange to return you once I exit your dreamscape. I’ll keep you sedated though just in case there are complications. I will see you again on your wedding sister, until then farewell.” Nightmare Moon said and then she faded to exit from Celestia’s dreamscape.

Nightmare Moon shakes herself awake in the medical bay, looking at Celestia still on the bed.
Silently she stands and exits the medical bay, which is guarded by a pair of Nightmare Droideka constructs, they are large construct which is equipped with magic shield.
Blue spectrum energy powered these constructs, these constructs are designed for maximum mobility, firepower and defense, fast when moving and very hard to destroy when their shield is up.
The blue spectrum energy the construct use as weapon put intruders on stasis which will then be dragged to the dungeon for interrogation.
Confident that Celestia is well-protected, she proceed to the command center where she expect to encounter the code-bearers which are currently on this base at the moment.
As she enters the command centre, Heartstring, Hooves, Dusk and Lulamoon stops what they are doing and stand on attention.
Waving their vigilance away, she signaled them to continue what they are previously doing.
Nightmare Moon then looks at the screen where she can see the combined army of Chrysalis and Equestria are fighting it out fiercely at the site of the Ghastly Gorge Galleon.
“How long have they been at it?” Nightmare Moon asked.
Heartstring then raises her head from the console to answer.
“They have been fighting for close to an hour now princess. Currently their forces are down by a third while on our side over 500 Nightmare Warriors have been destroyed, that’s 20% of what we have available at the base. The destroyed units have been teleported to the repair bay and we are maintaining the active units on the field by sending the Warriors at a constant ratio to keep the number on the battlefield.” Heartstring recited while eyes continue to be glued on the screen monitoring the battle.
Nightmare Moon then consider whether she should stop the fighting or continue until only the alicorns are left to prove that the combined army need to be developed or trained more.
She decided to take the middle ground and turns to Heartstring.
“Stop sending reinforcement to the field but keep the units that are already in the battlefield. Set the teleportation on auto for the destroyed unit which is currently in the battlefield to be sent to the repair bay. By right they should be able to defeat what units already on the field. If they are victorious then the combined army would have destroyed over a thousand Nightmare Warriors, that’s good enough for me. We still have one thousand and five hundred left on the base but we should leave them on standby. We are not out to destroy them, just to test their resolve and skills to win this battle.” Nightmare Moon commanded.
“It will be as you command princess.” Heartstring nodded complying with Nightmare Moon orders.
“Once that is done, follow me to the gate with a few squads of Warriors. Heartstring, Hooves, Lulamoon will follow me. We are to give them back Celestia unharmed as a reward should they be victorious in this battle. Dusk you are to be on stand-by in the command centre as an overseer and monitor the battle, inform us once the battle is over and open the portal to the edge of their camp.” Nightmare Moon instructed.
“Yes princess.” Heartstring, Hooves, Lulamoon and Dusk acknowledged.
Nightmare Moon then exits the command centre and proceeds to walk to the gate which serves as the base’s rally point.
As she enters the base’s rally point the hulking form of the gate was there in front of her, it is deactivated and it will take time to activate and set the coordinate but she do not mind waiting as she can meditate and clear her mind for the coming encounter.
After a while meditating she can hear the footsteps of Nightmare Warriors falling into formation behind her along with Heartstring, Hooves and Lulamoon leading them.
The code bearers then stand ready behind Nightmare Moon each leading a squad of ten Nightmare Warriors behind them.
After around half an hour, Dusk voice resonates within the chamber.
“Princess, the battle is over and the combined army is victorious, should we move Celestia from the medical bay now?” Dusk voice asked
“Yes please dusk, and the gate is already active. Set the coordinate at the edge of the camp and once Celestia is here we shall proceed.” Nightmare Moon answered.
“At once princess…” Dusk voice acknowledged carrying out her orders.
Within 10 minutes the sedated form of Celestia being carried into the chamber approach their formation.
Celestia is being carried by four special versions of Nightmare Warriors with experimental thrusters which enables flight.
Nightmare Moon the stand in front of the gate as it rumbled into activation and lightning arced around the gate to connect it nearby the camp in the Ghastly Gorge.
Once it opens, Nightmare Moon then takes a deep breath and led her forces to meet her counterpart and Chrysalis, the elements of harmony and Cadence.
She has all the cards on the table, what can go wrong?

After the disastrous encounter in which by all right should have been an easy delivery…
Nightmare Moon groaned and was reminded not to tempt fate by raising a death flag even if it’s only mentioned in her mind.
Should have learned to be wary of tempting fate after Doctor Whooves promised to marry her in the 4th dimension abyss when he returns, that’s before he dashed off trying to save the universe by fighting an extra-dimensional evil with tentacles mouth and bat wings of all things, both disappears in an inter-dimensional explosion rupturing time and space.
She was lucky to escape with her life right then, was pretty hopeless trying to outrun the rupture before the universe decided to spare her and contain the rupture, saving multiple universes in the process.
Oh but that’s another story, she do not want to be reminded of the time war, it was headaches all around.
She counted her blessings in the last leg of this debacle, Chrysalis survived in spite of her idiocy, Luna was convinced of her allegiance and that she’s doing this for the greater good and Celestia returns unharmed.
Last she heard Luna promises to have both Celestia and Chrysalis to be joined in holy matrimony as soon as possible, incorporating the changeling kingdom as part of Equestria and become another addition to pony-kind, joining the hybrid flutter-pony.
She looks forward to their contributions as spies more eagerly.
In spite of all the mishaps and problem she ticked this off as a successful operation. Equestria is on the road to prosperity, Luna, Celestia and Chrysalis can take care of internal matters.
Now she can focus on masterminding the downfall of neighboring kingdoms which proves to be a thorn on Equestria’s side for such a long time.
Griffon kingdom shall feel her wrath first then the Minotaur kingdom and finally Saddle Arabia.
But before the world burns she feels that she deserves to sleep, Celestia be damned.
Nightmare Moon concluded before she enters the rift to return to the base to get a well-deserved rest.
EPILOGUE
Nightmare Moon did not forgot to attend Celestia’s and Chrysalis wedding, she did enjoy watching Chrysalis uncomfortable sweating under Luna’s harsh gaze. Probably the sharp swords levitating surrounding Chrysalis did not help her jitters but Luna have the right to punish Chrysalis a bit for making Celestia’s pregnant.
Twilight did diagnose Celestia’s foal which by then already developed enough to be identified as another flutter-pony slash alicorn with horns, insect’s wing and confirms that it’s a filly. Luna royal voice shatters the entire castle’s window with her expression of joy.
Blueblood was transformed into mare permanently after Nightmare Moon bribed Discord and stripped of royal status with the birth of Celestia’s foal. She has since found peace and fulfillment after marrying Big Mac and is currently expecting a foal, turns out the only way to change blueblood was the threat of a manticore eating her and being saved by Big Mac. Applejack grumbled but accepts that its Big Mac’s decision and that she have no right judging pony for their choice after marrying a changeling.
The nightmare six regularly work together with mane six to save Equestria from every evil which regularly plagued Equestria. They did work wonderfully well together, with the mane six capturing and defeating evil with the elements of harmony, the nightmare six delivering the evil entity to Tartarus to be taken care of… Permanently… As well as clearing Tartarus of evil, eventually it would be clear for immigration once it’s purged of evil entity. The codes of rebellion are taking in evil powers and unleash it back against the source, weakening and eliminating their influence with its own power.
Also yes, Dusk finally got her date and both Rock On and Dusk went for a date. Dusk eventually managed to convince Rock On to marry her. Both of them have since moved to Baltimare and staying on a beach-side home. Both of them have foals, which Twilight dubbed a new race, shark-ponies. Colony of shark-ponies eventually settled horse-shoe bay and all traced to this couple. Dusk have her wish of no longer being alone.
Celestia’s alter ego, Daydream Sol, manages the frozen north hot spring resort and has found fulfillment making new couples and overall making overall single pony more amorous and encouraging them to have more foals. The number of suitors from both mares and stallions continue to increase as they became the single largest family in all of equestria and are officially registered as Daydream Sol’s harem.
Celestia and Chrysalis are happily married and continue to have foals throughout their life. After a few years and with the help of Celestia’ alter ego, Daydream Sol, they managed to convince Celestia and Chrysalis to include both Luna and Nightmare Moon as part of their herd with Chrysalis listed as the groom. Alicorn slash flutter-pony populations continue to increase and are a welcome addition to Equestria.
Nightmare Moon’s warning about monsters roaming the galaxy turns true as her army of constructs battles the forces of chaotic demons across the galaxy. The magical forces of six alicorns goddesses protected the planet from the influence of malevolent entity. While in space the superiority of Nightmare Moon’s legion of construct eliminate the demonic threat in space in a tide of steel and magic bolts. With the inability of the demons to eat the souls of the construct, exorcised with nothing to gain, the demonic forces avoided that sector of the universe. And the humans continue to fight evil demons and hostile aliens all over the rest of the universe, but that’s another story.
And in Equestria, all ponies lived happily and in harmony for ever after…
Well… Except for the griffons, the minotaurs and the saddle arabia horses but I mean who cares about them.

Location: Badlands area 51
“Chrysalisss, be reasonable your kingdom can’t have two Queens. I’m not able to shift gender so why can’t I became the Queen and for you to be my king?” Celestia whined childishly as she braided Chrysalis mane while relaxing at the royal garden.
It has been years since she left Canterlot castle and discovered the location of Chrysalis hiding place.
Since then she has tried many times to romance and seduce Chrysalis every single day and recently she has managed to convince Chrysalis to let her be partners in the changeling kingdom.
“Because I’m still uncomfortable with keeping one of the reigning monarch of a neighboring kingdom captive in my own kingdom, especially if she’s trying very hard to conceive an heir for said kingdom.” Chrysalis replied blushing furiously.
Chrysalis is laying her head on Celestia’s flank while Celestia is braiding her mane on the throne room.
The throne is made of swords taken by past rulers as spoils of wars and serve as a reminder of its long history of conflict’s won and lost.
Celestia smiled, satisfied with Chrysalis reaction, she still had it. It has been hits and misses trying to find what appeals to Chrysalis sense of attraction.
It was not until she became increasingly toned and athletic from the chase that she sensed that Chrysalis objection became lesser and lesser.
Apparently changeling hierarchy goes to the fittest and strongest of the race with individual who are the most physically and magically gifted to be ruler of the hive.
“You know you loved me anyway and Luna is capable of managing the kingdom even without your agent masquerading as myself.” I answered with eyes rolling.
Unknotting a particularly stubborn mane in Chrysalis mane, it’s like she does not care about appearance in front of her subjects.
“That’s not what Raiden reported when I first send him as yourself and you know it. I almost lost my best agent when Luna tried to murder what she believes to be you. Thankfully he was smart enough to offer Luna that she is welcome to raise the sun and the moon while offering to help with the paperwork. I think that was the only thing that Luna was willing to accept in return for sparing you.” Chrysalis argued
“And I am grateful to Raiden for taking my place in accompanying my sister, but Raiden would not have been needed to accompany my sister if we just come out and integrate changelings to pony society. I have received news that one of the elements of harmony Applejack which has openly married one of your changelings managed to produce an offspring. Twilight has dubbed Applejack’s daughter to be a new race dubbed flutterponies. Surely this is a sign that changelings can join us openly as a member together with unicorns, pegasus and earth ponies.” Celestia counter argued.
“That pairing is unique in our history in that it actually happened, statistically ponies are normally too scared of how a changeling normally looks that they will run away the moment they saw us.” Chrysalis reasoned.
“Arggghh do you have an excuse for everything? There’s more to life than statistic, reports and facts you know.” Celestia grinded Chrysalis head with both hooves harshly.
“Ouchhh that hurts stop it Celestia!” Chrysalis exclaimed in pain. Chrysalis cried while flailing her hooves at the vice-like grip Celestia is putting on her head.
“Besides, wouldn’t it be better for us to work together anyway now that there is something out there that threatens the peace of Equestria and the changeling kingdom? We are not even sure what happen last year when both of us are missing and our guard found both of us somewhere in the old badlands ruins.” Celestia asked worriedly standing up and walk to the nearest table filled with food and drinks prepared by the changeling royal maid.
“You know that I have since step up the guard around our chamber since that episode.” Chrysalis frowned remembering that event. As Chrysalis stands and joins Celestia to the table and pour herself some tea and liquid love to her cup.
“Whatever happens to us occurs during the night while we are sleeping, I can’t help but feel that Equestria’s night guard would be able to better protect us during the night than your changeling.” Celestia answered while spreading butter to her toast and pouring some coffe and honey to her cup.
“You know that my changelings have performed as a night guard in the Equestria palace right? They have the experience necessary to do their job.” Chrysalis argued defending her guard while being attended by the royal changeling maid.
“Experience yes, but they are not magically modified to adapt to the night as well as the real night guard. Only Luna is capable of performing the magic to modify ponies into a night guard.” Celestia explains as she bit into her toast.
“I’m afraid you are right on that sense, but for now I see that we are not able to integrate both our society without friction or conflict.” Chrysalis acknowledged.
“How goes the investigation on the mystery of our abduction though? I understand you have the Mystery Inc. handling the case now.” Celestia asked.
“Yes, though that’s a recent development after my regular investigators reach a dead end on their investigation. At most they reported that word on the underworld said that there is a new group on the loose that is hunting criminal elements in Equestria. They said members of the underworld keep disappearing into the night without a trace, never to be seen again. Most of them have fled to neighboring countries instead of staying in Equestria. Whether this is related to our own abduction no evidence can be found. The mystery Inc is a group of our own changeling youth who have proven record of solving the paranormal case. Maybe they will have better result.” Chrysalis explains.
“I’ve heard of them, aren’t they the one who solved the case of the haunted cave which turns out to be a case of a jealous changeling wife trying to scare her husband to find work in the hive?” Celestia grins at the story when she first heard it.
“Yes that is the one of their more recent cases, we are shaping them to be an investigative team and their pet giant bat really helps with the investigation. I can’t understand its fascination with our love-laced snack though.” Chrysalis answered.
As both Celestia and Chrysalis enjoyed chatting more about the mystery inc rather than the serious matter of their abduction and shadowy group.
From the direction of the castle then a group of changelings approached them with a strange changeling in tow.
“My Queens, we have found this strange larvae wondering inside the hive demanding to be delivered to you. We seek your council on what should we do with her as she claims that she is a royal larvae descended from your line.” One of the changelings said to Chrysalis as they near the dining table both Celestia and Chrysalis are occupying.
As both Celestia and Chrysalis gasped at this, the little changeling breaks free of their hold and rushed to Celestia.
“Mommy, I was so scared. These guards don’t recognize me and don’t believe me when I said I’m their Princess.” The little changeling filly whimpers and buried her head deeper into Celestia’s mane.
Celestia was so shocked she dropped her toast which falls to the little filly head. Chrysalis was close behind as she gaped and close her mouth repeatedly.
The royal maids started whispering and gossiping about this event behind their backs.
Celestia eventually snapped out of it and gently lifted the changeling filly head to look at her closely.
She looks exactly like Chrysalis if she did not know any better she would have said she looks like an exact clone of Chrysalis as a filly.
“What is your name little one?” Celestia gracefully asked the little filly.
The little filly frowns and looks at Celestia with glittering eyes.
“I’m Princess Onyxia, so it’s true. I really am in the past. Oh it was so terrible mommy. The hive was attacked and everyone was fighting for their lives, there were these horrible undead-like ponies which beat up everyone. There was even a dark alicorn leading them and six ponies with very strange and powerful weapon with them defeating our captains and guard. You were facing the darker alicorn and dad was fighting with these six ponies alone. During the fight you asked the remaining guard to evacuate me to the throne room with the intention of sending me to the past to warn you. The guard would have come also but the portal only can send one very small person safely and which is why I am here now.” The little filly, Onyxia gushed without pause. After that she huffed and takes a deep breath.
Chrysalis which until then can only pause and lost in thought while muttering inaudibly repeatedly. She doesn’t even dare to look at the filly.
Parenthood was unnerving for her, she might be Queen but her job was to give birth to a royal heir only when the alpha changeling was born and raised to adulthood.
Is it possible that Celestia presence was blocking the Alpha changeling to be born up to now and that she is able to replace the function of the alpha changeling.
These are questions that she dared not ask and think about, so she asked the only question that she can ask right now.
The threat to her kingdom whether in the future or now it doesn’t matter, she need to prepare and stamp the threat now before it can move against them.
“Wait what do you mean we were attacked, who are they?” Chrysalis asked, breakfast forgotten.
But before the little filly can answer the sound of battle drifted from the other end of the castle and it gets more violent and louder as it gets closer to their location.
The pair of changeling maid in the royal garden, Celestia and Chrysalis and the two changeling guards gazed at the direction of the castle.
There they can see blue wave of magic, explosion and the red dash of a pegasus blurring here and there inside the castle.
As they stared at the castle an injured lone guard runs out and heading towards them urgently.
The lone guard stands near them to report, his armor dented and body bruised. He clearly was pushing himself to reach them as fast as possible to report.
“My Queens, we are under attack by unidentified ponies! Our defenses are failing as they have taken out our guards too fast for us to rally and stop them. I recommend my Queens to evacuate to our other hives while we hold them back to give you time to retreat.” The changeling guard reported
Chrysalis frowns at the changeling guard as he gives the report, what kind of opposition can give her royal guards this much trouble.
“How many attackers are there and who are they to give us pause?” Chrysalis demanded of the changeling guard.
“There are only two attacker my Queen and they are ponies with weapons and equipment we have not seen before. It is to our shame that we cannot defeat these two interlopers. Still I beg of you to retreat as we cannot hold them back for long.” The changeling guard practically begs.
He did not notice nor realize that a magical strike was heading for him from the direction of the castle gate.
The magical orb hits and strikes the guard and started freezing the changeling guard at the point of impact and it spreads instantly to his whole body leaving him frozen.
Shocked silence as the unfortunate guard falls victim to the assault.
The royal changeling maids shrieked and holding each other tightly with fear.
While the remaining pair of changeling guards snarled and started to go into rage and looking for the interloper.
Celestia gasped but she did have time to close the eyes of the little filly close to her to spare her the sight of the changeling demise.
Celestia also reassured the scared little filly wrapped in her hooves that everything would be alright.
Chrysalis narrowed her eyes scanning the now quiet castle.
Chrysalis is not able to believe that the interlopers have overrun the defenses of the castle so soon.
There were at least two dozen guards in that castle ground with more coming as reinforcement from the neighboring hives.
Unfortunately, it will be a while before they arrived. This left only the maids, the pair of remaining guards, Celestia and Chrysalis to stand against the interlopers.
However, with both alicorn level of power Chrysalis was certain they would be able to prevail against two ponies.
“Show yourselves coward and face our wrath! You dared strike against the monarchs of my kingdom!” Chrysalis boomed at the direction of the castle challenging the interlopers.
Then a unicorn appears a short distance from them via teleportation.
“Greetings both of your royal highness, you called and I answered.” The unicorn answered with a flourish of trident and the rotating orb of magic on one of her hoof with grace.
This was the moment the tense pair of changeling guard rushed at the unicorn with intent to subdue the threat to their Queen.
Then a red blur rushed in to block the strike of the pair of guards and with a roundhouse kick sending both guards flying off to the distance and hitting the ground unconscious.
“That was a nice save, thanks red.” The unicorn said approvingly, as she walks without care to approach the group.
The unicorn grunted and glared at the remaining maid shaking on the ground.
This spooks the changeling maids which made them shriek again and bolted to run away from the scene of the fight.
“Now we can’t have that.” The unicorn then throw the orb on her hoof and it strikes both maids, freezing them through the same process as the changeling guard which warned the group to retreat earlier.
Such casual words while dishing out violent action against civilians angered both Celestia and Chrysalis and they tensed ready to battle the threat both ponies represent.
“Who are you and why have you attacked us without reason!” Celestia boomed at the unicorn opposite her as she and Chrysalis shifted into battle stance.
As practiced in the past Celestia shifted into a defensive stance to protect the little filly and Chrysalis into an offensive stance to eliminate the threat.
“Ah where are my manners, my name is Lulamoon. I am the code bearer of ‘Pride’ part of the ‘Codes of Rebellion’. That muffin freak over there is Hooves, code bearer of ‘Anger’. She is also part of the ‘Codes of Rebellion’. Don’t make her angry though, you would not like it when she’s angry. The angrier she gets the faster and more agile she became.” The unicorn who has newly introduced herself as Lulamoon answered.
The pegasus who introduced herself as Hooves simply grunted in acknowledgement.
“Ridiculous I have never heard of these codes of rebellion.” Celestia said with incredulity.
Lulamoon approached the forgotten table and took a vacant seat for herself as sometime when the changeling guards was rushing her the previous occupant vacated it to take battle stance. She took one of the scones and proceeds to take a big bite out of it.
Hooves was simply hovering in the air watching the proceeding silently.
“From what I was told, long ago in the distant past, it is the counterpart to the elements of harmony. But a cataclysm forced it to be lost to time and forgotten. After it was re-discovered and revived by our master I was chosen by the artifact as a code-bearer, ‘Pride’ to be specific. Same like the element of harmony, there are six of us running around Equestria working behind the scene to further our cause.” Lulamoon answered while stirring one of the leftover cups of tea.
“There are six of you so called code-bearers of rebellion?” Chrysalis asks from beside Celestia.
“Sure beside us there are ‘Solitude’, ‘Obsession’, ‘Lust’, and ‘Ambition’. Hey I just realize that if we put the initial of our codes in order it will be S.O.A.L.P.A, not a really cool acronym though that’s too bad.” Lulamoon said chuckling at a private joke.
“You’re mad. You can’t expect the six of you to challenge the whole of Equestria and expect to win do you? You expect to win against two Alicorns with just the two of you? You will never win against us one-on –one.” Chrysalis said incredulously.
“You’re right of course. We can’t win with only six of us against an entire kingdom let alone two. Too bad for you we are a part of a larger organization. We proudly announce that we are part of a larger organization called the ‘Nightmare State’. One of our masters, Nightmare Moon, sends her regards your highness.” Lulamoon replied as she lifted her empty cup of tea in a mockery of a toast in Celestia direction, Celestia froze at the name and starts to become paler.
“Lulamoon stop wasting time, we have our orders and their reinforcements are coming.” Hooves urge Lulamoon to make haste as she hovers in the air gazing at the distance.
“I don’t see your own reinforcements and these chatter are starting to bore me. I hope you will enjoy the hospitality of our dungeon as we interrogate you for information on the rest of your compatriots.” Chrysalis horn started glowing, as well as Celestia.
The two alicorn starts charging their powers to engage and capture Lulamoon and Hooves.
By all rights these are odds that the two normal ponies cannot win at first glance.
“Hmmm you’re right, looks like chat time are over. Too bad, the scones are exquisite. Heartstring you can do it anytime now.” Lulamoon said looking bored.
“What the…. AHHHHH!” Celestia screamed as the little filly Onyxia released a burst of lightning in Celestia’s embrace. This lightning power is powerful enough to shocking her badly even against alicorn resistance and forces her unconscious.
“What in the world….. Why Onyxia…? Why?” Chrysalis gaped at the little filly not knowing how such a small filly can incapacitate Celestia.
A ripple in the air behind Onyxia and another unicorn uncloaked herself.
This unicorn is wearing the same cloak as Lulamoon.
“I am afraid Onyxia cannot answer for herself your highness… For you see she is just a puppet under my strings. I am Heartstring, the code bearer of ‘Obsession’, part of the Codes of Rebellion. Greetings your highness….” The unicorn who introduced herself as Heartstring answered bowing at the stunned form of Chrysalis.
Chrysalis was so shocked and horrified. The odds are now against her. Three opponents against herself alone, this would be a fight that she would be hard-pressed to win.
“Did you enjoy yourself heartstring? Waiting for the most opportune moment to strike while we did all the work?” Lulamoon said grouchily at Heartstring while readying her trident to defeat Chrysalis.
“My plan is beautiful and you know it, I have one alicorn under my bag today while you have none. Besides this way we do not have to look all over this place looking for them. We could have lost them during the confusion as they retreated while we searched.” Heartstring shot back.
“Really? I happen to see one more to even the score.” Lulamoon gazed at Chrysalis and start powering up her trident for a magical strike against Chrysalis.
“Not if I can get her first.” As Heartstring proceed to cut her strings to the puppet Onyxia and with blinding speed shot her strings at Chrysalis with intent to capture.
Chrysalis takes to the air and avoids the strings. When the glowing strings follow her to the air with her she proceed to coat her body with a magic barrier. This saves her from the fast moving strings as it connected but fails to do anything.
Unfortunately this makes her a sitting duck as Hooves shoot at her and back-hoof her head.
As she staggered over she can feel her concentration fails, the magic barrier protecting her disappears. The strings starts to envelope her and preventing her from moving.
Chrysalis starts to rally again and focuses to do a magic blast to release her from this bondage.
Chrysalis horn glows Lulamoon took this chance to throw a bigger magical orb at her.
In slow motion Chrysalis stared helplessly as Lulamoon triumphant smirk plastered on her face as the magical orb impacted against her.
As she feels her body freezing and enveloping her, the last thing she heard was Lulamoon smug tone before she can hear no more.
“Hah that’s one for me! We’re even Heartstring!” Lulamoon shouted.
Chrysalis is not sure how long she was out but by the time she became aware again it was already nighttime.
She was looking at a scene of devastation as her surrounding was littered with debris and fallen changelings.
Some are frozen, some are battered and dented. She realizes this must be the reinforcement that was near her castle from the other hives.
A group of her battered changelings is striking at the frozen layer of her body trying to free her.
Their effort has freed her enough for her to feebly come out of the ice.
She curses Lulamoon for making her suffers like this.
“Guard report to me... What happen while I was frozen?” Chrysalis said as the group of changeling’s breaks formation to give her space to recover.
“My Queen, close to a hundred of us arrived from the other hives as the interlopers finished freezing you and proceed to engage them with the intent to kill. One of the unicorn then disappears from view, we rushed the other unicorn but she teleported to the castle and start throwing magic which has frozen some of our numbers.” The guard reported.
Chrysalis frowns but motion for the guard to continue.
“Then the pegasus simply brawls within our formation and defeated a large number of our forces. We have heavily armored changelings with us as well but for those of us with armors she releases some claws from her front hooves which pierces the armor and shocked them into submission.” The guard reported again to continue
“Why has our forces failed to rush them with numbers? You have sufficient numbers to split up and overwhelm their defenses.” Chrysalis demanded with rage.
The changeling guard shifted uncomfortably as he answered.
“We are unable to coordinate between ourselves as once in a while a group of us turns traitor and attack the nearest changelings. We have to engage the traitors and withstand the assault of the pegasus from the sky and avoid the artillery fire from the unicorn which keeps teleporting whenever we get close enough.” The changeling guard answered
Chrysalis shakes with rage with this insult, they will pay for this.
“Where is Celestia? Have you assist Celestia and make sure she is alright?” Chrysalis demanded.
Silence greeted her after the question as the changelings look down avoiding her gaze.
“Where. Is. Celestia?” Chrysalis again demanded
“My Queen she’s not here when we are able to move again.” One of the changeling guards answered.
Chrysalis glared at the guard, which withers from her glare.
“Explain.” Chrysalis said imperiously.
“The pegasus took her and flies to the west carrying her and the unicorn took out a piece of scroll and throws it to the ground. Then she teleported away, some of our crippled forces dragged themselves to you and scrape the ice bit by bit to free your highness. This is the scroll she left behind.” The guard said as he passes the scroll to Chrysalis.
Chrysalis took the scroll and opens it, inside it simply said ‘Ghastly Gorge’.
Chrysalis then burns the scroll and rise to stand.
“Guards recover our forces here and return to your hives, once there prepares all the hives for all-out assaults to Ghastly Gorge. The changeling kingdom is going to war!” Chrysalis shouted to the assembling changelings.
The next day the changeling kingdom marched to war.
Thousands of changelings and their Queen marched to the Ghastly Gorge in numbers never before seen save during their invasion of Canterlot.
It was a sight to behold to Chrysalis as once again she led her swarm to war, this time to save her beloved Celestia from the clutches of the Nightmare State and their master, Nightmare Moon.
Location: Ghastly Gorge bordering San Palomino Desert
Their war march spooks the residents of Appleloosa but Chysalis paid it no heed, she has something more urgent to consider about.
Nightmare Moon involvement and this organization Nightmare State…. She is essentially committing her forces against the unknown as this is by all right is a trap. But she has no choice but to spring the trap and hope the blunt force broke the trap.
But for what purpose and end-goal for the life of her she do not know, past Queens of the swarm memory of Nightmare Moon shows that she is a formidable and ruthless foe.
Scores of changelings and alpha changelings have fallen under her hoof.
She hopes that her forces are enough to defeat Nightmare Moon.
As the swarm enters the Ghastly Gorge she orders the formation so that the heavy armored trooper at the front and the rest of her forces to follow in. Her position is near the front of the swarm.
The inside of the valley was desolate and dark due to the light blocked from reaching its depth. Overhead the gorge reached miles above. Her fliers are also confined inside the gorge. Chrysalis hated to fight in confined space as the gorge is the perfect place for an ambush to happen.
The narrow gorge robs her of swarming an entrenched position if there is a base in the gorge but this does limit the number of casualty if there are traps along the way.
Half an hour of marching she came across a peculiar sight, a large wooden ship, an Equestria galleon to be exact was lying in the middle of the gorge blocking the path of her swarm.
A familiar unicorn on the galley waiting for her, it’s that insufferable unicon Lulamoon again.
“Lulamooon! Where is Celestia?! I demand you return her unharmed to me or suffer the consequences!” Chrysalis shouted.
The unicorn Lulamoon walk to the side of the galleon and a dozen cannon port opens on the galleon broadside pointed at her swarm.
“Hooves carry her to our base at the end of this gorge. You want her you need to pass me first Queen Chrysalis.” Lulamoon answered confidently.
Chrysalis looks incredulously at Lulamoon if she thinks she can prevail against her forces with her arsenals alone.
“You are mad, my swarm extends all the way to the gorge entrance and the sky is blotted by my swarm what hope do you have against me?” Chrysalis exclaimed from the front of the swarm, meters from the galleon and below the galleon deck that Lulamoon is treating as some kind of stage like a play.
“Ah I feel a song coming, you don’t mind if I break into a song do you, your highness?” Lulamoon asked leaning against the deck.
“By all means, you can buy your time for all the good it will do you. But I really think you should give up if you knew what ‘s good for you.” Chrysalis said dryly.
“Thanks, Queenie.” Lulamoon replied with a smirk.
“Lights, music, action!” Lulamoon shouted as the multiple searchlights situated on the mast concentrate their light on Lulamoon’s position above the deck as well as music coming out from speakers somewhere on the ship.
Chrysalis sputters incredulously at the display of audacity in the face of the swarm, most ponies would piss themselves already… Then she remembers pride does overcome fear if it’s big enough.

After Lulamoon’s impromptu display of music everything is quiet and awkward.
The swarm paused at this display unsure of how they should proceed.
They look at their Queen for guidance. She seems to be shaking uncontrollably.
“Buahahahahahahahaha!! What is this I was worried for a moment but if this is what you do on a daily basis and the rest of your miserable rabble is like this then I have nothing to fear. This is your last warning, stand aside or be destroyed.” Chrysalis said after she managed to control her laughter.
She then raised her hoof for the order to march and destroy Lulamoon.
“Any last words, Lulamoon?” Chrysalis said to Lulamoon
Lulamoon simply brush her cloak and took out a card of some sort from her cloak, summoning her weapon as the card was replaced by her trident.
She flourished her trident as she face the swarm.
“Yes… You shall not pass!” Lulamoon shouted.
This seems to be the sign for Lulamoon’s forces to start the battle as the multiple searchlights moved and refocuses their intense light to the swarm.
The bright light burns the swarm eyes and Chrysalis eyes, stunning them with pain and blinding them.
Then the fusillades of cannons open their broadside and chaos reigns among the swarm as shells after shells explode around her.
Something then hold her hooves and striking her multiple times as she feels around her a battle is taking place among their forces all the way to the back.
The noise deafened her and from the sound of it, her forces also have difficulty holding their own among the narrow space, bright lights and the dins of explosion of shells among them.
Chrysalis is confused.
Where did Lulamoon hide her forces, from the sound of battle the numbers are considerable to hold up her swarm and something is striking her again and again from under her.
Eventually her eyes adjusted enough for her to see, she will see her opponent face to face as she flayed their flesh from their bones.
What she sees unnerve her, as abominations raises from the ground, from the walls and swarmed from the direction of the ship.
The abominations rises from the ground like undead and either pummel her changelings into submission or blasting the changeling’s fliers with a blast of green light.
Their numbers are much less compared to her swarm but the abominations have very hard exoskeletons, physical attack seems to affect them very little.
The fusillade of broadside cannons was also fired indiscriminately and sometime hits the abomination but they suffer little damage and continue to fight while the same cannot be said for her swarm.
Looking back down she blasted the abomination with her magic, this seems to work better as the metal exoskeleton warped and melted.
To her dismay the abomination did fall only to disappear in a green flash and replaced by another abomination clawing out from the ground again to fight.
Chrysalis took to the air dodging beam of green light and blasting them from the air while her swarm holds the line.
Once in a while Lulamoon throw bolts of magic down the ship to freeze a group of changelings which are then rushed by abominations to exploit the hole in the line.
She would have blasted Lulamoon with her magic but she has created multiple ice glaciers as barriers on the deck of the ship to block incoming magic blast.
She blasted the barrier only for her to create more ice barrier.
Abominations are also on the deck with her throwing blast after blast of green beam of light.
Her fliers tried to swarm the deck and engage the defenders but was routed and blasted by the abominations manning the ship’s deck.
The accursed cannons also continue to blast her swarm with regular bombardment, casualties are being carried by other changelings to the rear line but this was complicated by the intermittent abomination rising from the ground to disrupt her swarm.
As the battle continues to the night, Chrysalis is getting exhausted and over half of her swarm already down for the count.
She has felled uncountable abominations only for them to disappear again and new abomination rising from the ground.
Her forces are able to defeat the abomination only with extreme number surrounding individual abomination and pummeling it with difficulty into scrap which then disappears again.
Sometime during the battle Lulamoon has created an ice barrier over the ship to prevent her fliers going through, with abominations taking cover within it to shoot passing changelings flyers.
The search light keeps blinding and exposing her swarm as the place it shines was barraged by green light and cannon shells.
Seeing the tide of battle against her overwhelms her, Chrysalis reluctantly admits defeat and issue the retreat order.
As the swarm retreat and carry over defeated changelings, until no changelings is left behind in the gorge.
Chrysalis join the swarm in retreat, helping a few along the way, not certain how she can proceed to win this battle.
Location: Ponyville
Chrysalis decided to march to Ponyville after the disastrous defeat at Ghastly Gorge.
After she sent the injured member of the swarm back to each hives to recuperate and some of her forces to assist the injured on their way
back to their hives she is left with less than a quarter of her forces capable to engage in combat again.
She realizes that she would not prevail with her swarm alone.
Magic is needed to defeat this threat, might alone is not able to prevail against beings of metal.
She would need Equestria, unicorns, pegasus and earth ponies to prevail against that fortification.
Luna would prove invaluable but this means that she must come clean with some details about the impostor Celestia currently on the throne.
The mane six, especially Princess Twilight and the elements of harmony would also be great against their own nightmare six.
Only one of them can rout her forces, she’d rather not think if all six of them are present on the battlefield.
As her swarm marches along ponyville towards Canterlot castle, ponies along the way clear the road and hide in their homes peeking from their window as they past.
Her way was clear all the way to canterlot castle, there the guards in formation confront them.
Royal guards every single one of them.
Her changelings also reported every able-bodied guards from across Equestria is surrounding Canterlot hemming them in.
“Halt there Queen Chrysalis! What purpose do you march to Equestria with an army at your tow?” The guard captain shining armor demanded from the head of the formation of guards blocking the entrance to the castle.
Chrysalis halted and the swarm halted with her. Looking up she can see Luna and Raiden posing as Celestia, Cadence and the elements of harmony on the main balcony of the castle.
She can also see Chang there beside Applejack looking worried and determinedly grim.
“Heh, never thought I’d see the day a changeling willing to go against the Queen for true love. Perhaps you have the right idea after all Celestia.” Chrysalis softly murmurs.
Chrysalis steps forward to answer Shining Armor.
“I seek an alliance to battle a common foe in Equestria, she has taken something important to me and I wish to get it back.” Chrysalis answered.
Shining armor looks at the royal alicorns and returns his attention to her.
“Who is this common foe you are referring to that we need to join to battle?” Shining armor asked again
“Her name is Nightmare Moon and she has created an organization called Nightmare State. They also have their own version of the elements of harmony which they have referred to as the codes of rebellion. Suffice to say they also have their own mane-six called nightmare-six. I have faced one of their numbers in battle yesterday and was defeated disastrously. They have summoned abominations that my swarms are not able to defeat properly. Only magic can defeat them, which is why I have come here today to seek assistance against this dire threat for both our kingdom.” Chrysalis shouted across the castle.
Shining armor and the guards looks stricken and uncertain.
Above them the royal alicorns was discussing among themselves how to proceed.
Luna then proceeds to come down from the castle and meet Chrysalis on the ground.
“The threat that Nightmare Moon has returned notwithstanding… What has they taken from thou that forces you to consider joining forces with us?” Luna asked Chrysalis directly.
Chrysalis shifted nervously gazing at Celestia on the balcony who is really Raiden.
“Perhaps we should discuss this in private in your royal chamber Luna. What I have to discuss is very sensitive.” Chrysalis answered.
Luna stares at Chrysalis gauging her statement and honesty.
“Very well, leave your swarm here. We can have the discussion in my chamber. If the discussion is that sensitive none of us will have our guards but Celestia, Cadence and the elements of harmony would have to be there in the chamber as well.” Luna proposes.
“I have no issue with that.” Chrysalis agreed.
With a mental command her swarm halted and holds position where they stand.
As Chrysalis took to the air together with Luna back to the balcony, she greeted everyone there.
Chang was uncomfortable seeing the Queen again but return the greeting anyway.
Celestia simply nods in return of the greeting in silence.
“We have reached an understanding and Chrysalis wishes to discuss it in the royal chamber, just those of us that are present here will be attending the meeting inside the chamber. Shining will be monitoring the swarm outside the castle ground” Luna explains.
As the group proceeds to the chamber, they cannot help but be worried that dark tidings are ahead.
As the group reached the chamber and sealed Luna seating on her throne faces Chrysalis.
“Now tell us everything what can we expect from here onwards?” Luna asks Chrysalis
“Celestia was taken from my side and is being held captive in the base within the Ghastly Gorge. Currently we have no idea of her condition and what we can expect from inside their base.” Chrysalis nervously admits.
Luna was shocked and narrowed her eyes at her supposed sister beside her.
“I see… Yes that would explain some things over these past few years. I assume Celestia went with you willingly?” Luna asked sharply.
The audience was shocked that all this time their Celestia was an impostor and the real one was staying with Chrysalis all this time.
“Yes, she insisted with chasing me after the invasion she was smitten with me enough to follow me back to my castle.” Chysalis blushed.
Luna waved her hoof in a dismissive manner.
“We can all see that and was a bit confused on why she seems to bounce back faster than normal after you left. This would explain it. Now that we know this celestia is a fake why don’t you dropped the disguise. It would be no use to maintain the cover now.” Luna said gazing at both the impostor Celestia and Chrysalis.
Chrysalis gazed at Celestia and nodded, giving her approval.
Celestia then shifted back to Raiden, Chrysalis best agent and right hand man. Honestly before Celestia she expected Raiden to transform in an alpha changeling but it did not happen.
Everyone in the chamber is surprised and making noisy discussion at this confirmation of the fate of Celestia and grows worried for her.
“Now that we get that out of the way you can tell me what Nightmare Moon is up to and what we can expect from her forces, don’t leave any detail if we are to plan to join forces and assault their base to rescue Celestia.” Luna narrowed her eyes and addresses her audience to be quiet.
“Of course, time is of the essence after all. I will direct my swarm to assist you prepare your forces as soon as possible.” Chrysalis said gladly and then proceeds to explain in details everything that has happened.
Sometime during the discussion it grows late into the night, Equestria’s captains and generals are being briefed and instructed with orders to march at dawn the next day.
Chrysalis was the last person leaving the chamber instructing her swarm mentally to assist the Equestria forces to prepare to march to war.
By the time she left the chambers it was late at night, she did hear Luna shouted at Raiden though when she passed their sleeping chambers.
“Do you enjoy playing with my heart “sister” is that it?” Luna demanded
Oh Chrysalis is not taking any part in that debacle thank you very much as she silently heads to her own guest chamber.
But she was not without mercy as she proceeds to wipe the mind of the night guards posted outside their chambers and put a silencing charm on the heated discussion inside.
After a night’s rest it was time for the march, she received report from her swarm that all the forces are ready to march and move to assault the Ghastly Gorge again.
This time she would not fail again, it was time to stop underestimating their enemy and seriously hit them with full power from the start.
No tricks will save Lulamoon this time, she will not allow it.
As she heads towards the castle grounds she sees the array of Equestria forces assembling in the castle yard.
It is a sight to behold.
Beside Celestia’s royal guard, Luna’s night guard, the militia of Equestria was also raised as a reserve in the coming battle as a supporting force.
The militia numbers more than the military forces of Equestria.
The Equestria militia inclusion signals that Luna is serious about stopping the threat of Nightmare Moon before she can become a bigger threat.
With the forces assembled, dawn will be coming soon as Luna deemed it to be the signal to march when she raises the sun.
For now it is dawn as the sun is on hold on the horizon some light is present but for the most part it is still dark.
Luna and the elements of harmony behind her signals her hoof forward, together with that the armies that signals the alliance of changelings, unicorn, pegasus and earth ponies marching towards the Ghastly Gorge numbering in thousands.
The difference this time they have magic as a support with the changelings and earth ponies holding the front line.
In the daylight they march and after hours of marching they return to the scene of their defeat the previous day.
Everything looks just as she left it yesterday, the abominations not visible and the ships broadside cannon port is open again and aimed at their combined army.
Lulamoon is not present on the fortification but the fliers reported that behind the ship an army of abominations numbering in the hundreds are present in formation just standing there silently.
“Lulamoon! Come out and face us we are back for a rematch!” Chrysalis shouted at the front of the formation.
Luna then joins her at the front of the formation with the elements of harmony and some of the earth ponies’ militia and a mix of pegasus and unicorns.
“Return our sister you scoundrel before I resort to something that you will regret!” Luna demanded using her royal canterlot voice
Silence greeted both of their demands, silent as the grave.
“If you do not deem it worthy to answer us then suffer the consequences!” Luna shouted and blasted magic over the ship with the intent to tear it apart.
The large beam of magic impacted a green energy barrier around the ships and it managed to stop even Luna’s magical blast.
The green barrier rippled over the whole gorge blocking the way.
Over this magical attack the abominations start reacting and moving and taking defensive position behind the ship and over the deck of the ship.
The broadside port cannons started opening fire again and blasting the combined armies.
With this the battle for Ghastly Gorge commences with fliers and pegasus swooping in and ripping the cannons from the port.
Chrysalis takes to the air and the elements of harmony supported by changeling’s rushes in to the ship for a direct assault.
Twilight’s blasted the magic barrier but it’s not effective as it seems the barrier is designed to be resistant against magic but not able to block physical force instead.
Chrysalis considers this as it seemed the barrier complement the abomination high resistant to physical attack but vulnerabilities to magic, therefore covering each other weakness.
But she had no time to consider this as the abominations on the deck area and behind started shooting their green beam of light at their forces.
The ship is starting to take a battering as their combined forces broke apart the ship with brute force.
Earth ponies and changeling broke wooden planks and engage with abominations inside only to be blasted apart by Twilight and the unicorn guard to disappear like the other times.
As the front line engaged the defenders just like the previous time from the ground the abominations rise again all along the line to engage the combined forces of Equestria.
For the most part, the abominations are able to defeat changelings, earth ponies and pegasus only to be blasted apart by unicorns spread among the army.
The abomination then change tactic and started targeting specifically the unicorns among their numbers and incapacitate them with a physical blows or blasted into unconsciousness with their green beam of light.
They would have succeeded eventually if not for Luna and Cadence who stay away from the front line to support the middle and rear line from succumbing to the abominations ambushes.
Blasting abominations left and right from the air as only alicorns can manage.
The pegasus mostly support the ground army to evacuate fallen compatriots while dodging the beams the abominations throws at them once in a while.
It was a chaotic melee of battle as from the other side the formation of abominations started climbing over the ship from the other side to rushed and jumped to the melee adding to the confusion.
When the tide seems to be unstoppable something broke inside the ship and with a whine the barrier over the ship fails and disappears.
Chrysalis, Luna, Cadence and Twilight then took this opportunity to combine their magic and shoot from the air to the other side where tides of abomination march onwards.
The combined magical force destroys a swathe of abominations at once.
Seeing this combined army starts cheering and fought with renewed vigor.
The alicorns in the air was then shot by a barrage of bolts from the remaining abominations which survives the magical assault.
As the fusillade of green bolts raining towards them a magical barrier stands in front of the assembled alicorns.
Twilight looked down and spotted Shining Armor raising the barrier to protect them.
Even thought the barrage was halted, the sheer force behind it shattered the barrier and incapacitate Shining Armor.
Twilight cries in distress and flies down to defend the fallen Shining Armor from the abominations which still battled around them. The rest of the elements of harmony and some royal guards and night guards started to join in to defend their captain.
Luna, Chrysalis and Cadence scatters and take precise shot to take out individual abominations while dodging bolts in the air.
Eventually Cadence was struck by a beam and falls from the sky.
Members of the wonderbolts who sees this managed to catch the fallen alicorn and proceed to evacuate Cadence to a safe area at the entrance of the Gorge together with Shining Armor.
With her brother safe, Twilight takes to the air again to join the other alicorn in holding the line.
Once again over half of their forces are down but they can see that the reinforcement for the enemy is getting lesser and lesser until finally the last of the abomination was down and the fortification was theirs for the taking.
Chrysalis was panting on the ground and exhausted. The battle was long and hard fought but they have prevailed.
“Huzzahh we are victorious! That was a hard battle, why the last time such a battle was done was before we become royalty. And that was many thousands of years ago.” Luna sighed satisfied with the victory.
Chrysalis look around and realized that their forces is in no condition to proceed from here on, never mind tackling Nightmare Moon with her nightmare six if taking their fortification took this much toll on them.
Only Luna is ready for battle again, damn alicorn.
Especially between both alicorns Luna is more in her element now compared to Celestia.
“Just be thankful that nobody actually died in the battle. Whatever the beam did just drain them of energy, physical or magical.” Chrysalis reminded.
Luna grew somber after hearing that.
“Indeed, that is something to be thankful for. Whatever Nightmare Moon plan to do she still cares about the well-being of Equestria’s subject. We should know, she was once a part of me. So take heart Chrysalis, I am sure Celestia is well enough and treated well.” Luna said soothingly.
“I hope you are right Luna. How soon are we able to march again?” Chrysalis asks Luna.
Luna considers and formulates a likely recovery period after seeing the condition of the combined forces from the air earlier and answers Chrysalis.
“Within half a day we should be able to march with around seventy percent of our original force. One third unable to continue due to physical injuries instead of drained of energy. Currently only less than a third of our forces are reasonably well enough to continue fighting.”
Then from the edges of the camp a commotion started to attract the attention of everyone arounds.
When both Chrysalis and Luna look at that section of the camp they can see that a rip in space with lightning arcing are forming and from the rip of space a dark alicorn step through and regally walks toward the camp.
The alicorn turns out to be Nightmare Moon herself, the surrounding ponies and changelings started backing away from the alicorn.
Then from the rift, Lulamoon, Hooves and Heartstring also passed through behind Nightmare Moon along with scores of abominations in disciplined lines in files and ranks, each squad behind the code bearer in attention.
The moment Nightmare Moon steps out both Chrysalis and Luna starts moving to the edge of the camp to confront her.
Both Chrysalis and Luna glared at Nightmare Moon who remained unaffected and regally poised.
“Nightmare Moon! What hast thou done to Celestia, why are you doing this?” Luna shouted at Nightmare Moon
Nightmare Moon finally decided to grace Luna with a response after she deemed Luna passed a certain test in her mind.
“Greetings Luna, it is good to see your time in peace time has not dulled your blade in war time. Unlike some that I see here that are not up to test, your forces looks pitiful now after the assault on the ship. But you did managed to claim my fortification, if only barely. So I supposed you passed this test.” Nightmare Moon answered gracefully.
Chrysalis growled and some member of the swarm behind her starts to become aggressive and tensing to strike.
A move which is being mirrored by the nightmare force behind Nightmare Moon, weapons powering up with green glow ready to defend their master.
Members of the nightmare-six in return summon their respective weapons from their pactio card.
“Control your rabble Chrysalis or I will do it for you.” Nightmare Moon said coldly as both eyes glows with eldritch magic.
Chrysalis bared her fangs but signals her forces to stand down.
At the same time Nightmare Moon forces also proceed to stand down and silently watched the proceeding.
Other members of the combined army simply watch the proceedings with interest and trepidation.
Satisfied with Chrysalis response, Nightmare Moon returns her attention back to Luna.
“Now for the reason I am doing this, I am doing this for Equestria…. Now Luna is such a thing so hard to believe? At one point of time both of us feels that Equestria is getting weaker and weaker every successive generation and the nobility member increasingly frustrate and disgusted us. How many times did the temptation to purge the court and start over crossed our minds? This is my way of strengthening Equestria. Nothing gives more motivation that actual threat over their lives to get stronger.” Nightmare Moon said as she watched Luna’s expression of disbelief turns to shame and frustration.
“Celestia was the catalyst to force both the changelings and Equestria to march to war. Rest assured that Celestia is safe and unharmed. We simply sedated her to keep her unconscious. Now that my goal was achieved, we have no need to keep Celestia with us. We will return her to you now.” As Nightmare Moon give the signal, from the rift emerges a squad of abomination with wings and thrusters carried with them Celestia lying on a stretcher seemingly sleeping and unharmed.
Both Chrysalis and Luna rushed to receive Celestia and checked her condition to sigh in relief that she is alright.
The nightmare warriors then flies back into the rift.
“Now that the matter is resolved I bid you farewell until we meet again.” Nightmare Moon starts to return to the rift before a magic bolt impacted her shield.
Nightmare Moon paused and facing back the pony who dared to shot her in the back.
Nightmare Moon retinue of troops and members of nightmare-six also tensed up and started to power up their weapon again.
As Nightmare Moon faced the Equestria combined army again she sees that every single pony have a terrified look on their faces and was open-mouthed staring at Chrysalis. The horn which still has the after effect of magic bolt still radiating magical aura.
“You attack my kingdom forces us to march to war and when the mastermind shows herself among us you expect me to let you go?” Chrysalis said incredulously
“….Yes when your forces are outclassed, outgunned and facing fresh troops, captains and generals. I was not aware that the Queen of changelings is stupid and suicidal. I have legions of Nightmare Warriors ready to pour out from the rift and crush you and your forces should I desire it. The only reason you still stand is because I willed it so.” Nightmare Moon imperiously said while giving away the name of the mechanical construct which the combined armies have referred to as abominations.
“I demand a duel between us with our honor on the line. You have abducted a very important pony to me, endanger my subjects and partner to my kingdom’s throne.” Chrysalis declared with prejudice.
Luna gasped at Chrysalis and whisper urgently to her ears.
“Chrysalis a duel of honor among leaders according to the ancient laws means to the death and once issued it cannot be taken back. Only very few and specific circumstances allows both participant to leave the duel with their life. I cannot interfere. None of us can as very ancient magic would prevent interference.” Luna urgently whispers.
“I accept the duel as the challenged I choose the location to be here and the time to be now. As the challenger choose the method to resolve our difference according to the ancient laws.” Nightmare Moon narrowed her eyes and bares her fangs at Chrysalis.
With the grim tidings Chrysalis looks at Celestia form and resolve to come out of this duel alive as best she can.
“I choose the method to be a duel of magic.” Chrysalis declared as the challenger.
As the word pass her lips. Eldritch magic forms around them and seal them inside a dome of magic impervious to interference.
Two leaders enter and only one shall leave alive according to the ancient laws enforced by magic older than Equestria.
Surrounding the magical dome both forces surrounds the dome to watch their leader duel.
The nightmare force however seems at ease, which unnerved the joint alliance of equestrian armies.
Especially the changelings as they tried to claws through the dome frantically.
The mane-six, Cadence and Shining finally joins them around the dome and gasped after they have been explained what is happening by Luna.
Inside the dome both duelist circle each other and gauge the other’s ability and move.
Chrysalis started with a blast of magic followed by orbs of light and smoke to confuse Nightmare Moon.
Nightmare Moon simply stands there and absorbs the attack by magic barrier, which she follows with a mind-fray spell.
The mind-fray spell is indirect and affects the opponent through eye-contact.
In a duel where the attention are focused totally on the other this proves fatal for Chrysalis as she reared and screamed in pain as she was affected by the worst headache in her life.
The moment Chrysalis is affected and paralyzed by the mind-fray spell she let loose a full blast of magic aimed at Chrysalis head.
Chrysalis managed to twist her body and the blast grazes her sides and badly burned the side of her head.
Paralyzed by pain Chrysalis is unable to resist the magical binding which follows after the last.
Nightmare Moon then pulls Chrysalis closer and then performs the dark magic ‘magic drain’ on Chrysalis leaving her empty and helpless.
“Do you see now the difference between our power little insect? How futile it is for you to challenge me.” Nightmare Moon whispers next to Chrysalis ear.
“Do it then, kill me then. I acknowledge my defeat and will submit if you will just grant me the peace of a promise that you can grant. I only ask that you will not kill Celestia if she seeks revenge for my death.” Chrysalis resignedly said
Nightmare Moon paused and looks at her surrounding audience.
Her retinue watched on the proceeding, they will accept whatever decision she take as well as covering and defending her from retribution if need be with their lives.
Luna watched grimly but fully expects Nightmare Moon to finish the job and continue to watch no matter how hard it is.
The mane-six is watching wide-eyed and horrified at the proceedings. Some decided to cover their eyes.
Cadence view is shielded by Shining Armor to spare her the grim view of death.
The changelings swarm is still frantically trying to reach their queen by attacking the dome.
Nightmare Moon takes in all this and made the decision for Chrysalis fate.
“Hmmmm… you accepts your death already? Unfortunately I cannot give you the promise that I will spare Celestia if she decided to seek vengeance for your death.” Nightmare Moon answers with a smirk on her face.
Chrysalis looks horrified and the fear is etched on her face for Nightmare Moon.
“Yes, that expression is worthy to pay for the insult you have shown me by attacking me from the back.” Nightmare Moon happily said.
Nightmare Moon traced Chrysalis face and the cold sweat dripping from her face.
“Fortunately for you I have decided to spare your life, and I have the means to do it even through the ancient code which binds us to honor duel to the death you have unwittingly invoked.” Nightmare Moon declared before throwing Chrysalis forcefully towards the side of the combined Equestria armies.
The changelings started gathering on the spot closest to their queen and started to attack the dome barrier frantically to get through her, even trying to go underground. But the magic dome extend even underground.
“I invoked ancient law within this honored dueling ground to let both of us leave the dome with our life intact. Blood of my blood I have face and emerged victorious. Lesson has been learnt and family ties once fractured have been mended. I have no more grudge against my kin, honor gained from this duel not worth the bloodshed between families.” Nightmare Moon invoked the spell to end the ancient magic holding both of them in place.
As the dome pulsed corresponding to Nightmare Moon words and the magical wave washed over the audience, a responding wave of magic was emitted from Celestia which then returns towards the dome.
The dome then pulsed, and then disappears from view releasing both duelists to keep their life.
The changelings swarm then descended on Chrysalis and proceeding to protect her from further threat snapping and growling at nearby ponies.
Nightmare Moon snorted and again walked towards the rift to return back.
However her retinue has learnt from what happened last time and one of the nightmare-six, Hooves takes covering position behind
Nightmare Moon back. Then the nightmare warrior who forms part of Hooves squad stepping forward with her to block any attack directed at their general.
“Wait! Nightmare Moon! Tell me is it really true? Is Celestia really…” Luna shouted after Nightmare Moon before she enters the rift.
Nightmare Moon stops and without turning answers Luna’s unspoken question.
“…Yes turns out Chrysalis has been a very bad bug. Celestia is indeed pregnant with a foal. Imagine my surprise when we were checking her for any injuries after we abducted her.” Nightmare Moon confirmed while smirking at the thought and memories during the examination.
“Then I thank you for sparing Chrysalis, even though you can always decided to kill Chysalis there inside the dome you choose to spare her using one of the few loopholes that the ancient laws allows that family members related by blood in anyway would be spared the fate of slaying kin.” Luna gratefully said.
“It would not do for any nephew or niece of mine to grow up without a father, we have suffered through it and I will not allow my kin to suffer the same thing.” Nightmare Moon scowled and waved off Luna’s gratitude.
“Perhaps you can join us in Canterlot? I am sure we can arrange something to accommodate you. No one actually died in the battle, and a pardon is always possible if granted by myself and Celestia.” Luna offered.
“I thank you for your offer, but as I’ve said Equestria is getting weaker and only I can rectify it. I will warn you Luna that there are monsters among the stars and we will be the vanguard that meets them and keeps Equestria safe and strong…. Whether they want it or not… If we have to play the villains as our part then so be it…” Nightmare Moon said her final words and passed through the rift.
After Nightmare Moon disappears through the rift, the members of nightmare-six then follow until lastly the nightmare warrior follows in and disappears. As the last warrior disappears, the rift collapsed in on itself and vanishes as if it was never there.
EPILOGUE
Soon after the battle Chrysalis and the real Celestia are being forced by Luna, Twilight and Cadence to have a Royal Sword Wedding. Literally a sword wedding as the sword is being wielded by Luna at both Chrysalis and Celestia.
Luna’s reasoning is in the line of she will not have a bastard nephew or nieces while she is still alive to do something about it. And that seals the matter as with the royal wedding the changeling kingdom is being incorporated into Equestria.
Ironically after fighting for their lives together in the Ghastly Gorge, all ponies are more accepting of the changeling and now the changeling are more accepted within pony society with more cross-pairing between races which leads to marriage. Cases of flutter-ponies continue being born after the battle.
Nightmare Moon disappears but sometimes her forces appear once in a while to scare the civilian and beat up any military personnel they encounter. This leads to better skills and ability of the Equestrian military forces in general.
Increasing instances of raiding for the neighboring Griffon kingdom with valuables and materials taken by Nightmare forces escalates tension between Nightmare Moon and the griffon empire.
The nightmare forces also crippled any griffon which belongs to the military that they encounter. No griffon ever died from this attack but the broken wings ensures that the griffon feels that death would have been a kinder option.
The nightmare-six has not been seen since the battle of Ghastly Gorge but speculation is rife that they are within Equestria society biding their time and operate behind the scene to further their cause while masquerading as normal everyday ponies.

The author wishes to introduce a pirate faction within that fandom by introducing a 3rd player, The Nightmare State.
Inspiration for the name comes as an Eve Online Player with a fascination for the Amarr Empire and Sansha Rogue State.
