Phoenix was a miracle child. At first he had been a still birth but when his parents had decided to cremate his body, he woke up. His parents were so delighted and surprised by his awakening that they named him Phoenix, because he had been reborn from fire. Or in this case, the prospect of fire. Being the typical Earth pony, he had big plans about him continuing on his Family trade of Black smiths. His father, Flash burn, was the fifth master smith in the family tree so Phoenix didn't want to disappoint him.

AN: This Fic takes place before the first episode, ever. But it will follow all the rules of the actual Equestria-verse. I haven't decided what other tags I should put on because there isn't one that accurately describes this Fic. I hope you enjoy it anyway.
