It is classed as romance cuz of some parts but it's mostly comedy and slice of life, the story is meant to touch your heart
Also this fanfic contains numerous references so if your name, a place or game you know or your favourite movie is mentioned and or you don't like the opinion remember everything said is for the purpose of plot (Meaning story development not the other kind of plot XD)
Finally this entire fanfic will be from a first person point of view using myself as a template for the reader, in other words you'll be experiencing the story from my perspective so if something seems specific it's cuz you know it's me you're reading as, I am basically the protagonist in this thing

The girl in the wagon
A brief sigh escaped my mouth as I walked down the street, I was dressed in a black T-shirt and Tracksuit bottoms, never did care for jeans too restricting.
It was chilly, though I thought everyone around me was over reacting with the thick coats and gloves, I was fine in my thin red jumper my dad had given me for Christmas, I turned a corner brushing my long curly locks out if my face as the gentle breeze blew them into my face holding them there just long enough to read a poster stapled to a telephone pole.
'Come one come all!' It read 'see the spectacular spells and enchanting incantations, performed by The Great and Powerful Trixie!' Trixie had been emphasised in large bold purple letters with a gold outline, it looked kind of cool and I did enjoy a good performance, magic, theatre heck I loved musicals, 'this might be worth a look' I thought. Then I read the name again, Trixie... Trixie... I placed a hand on my chin mutating the name to myself trying to place her, the name sounded familiar.
Suddenly the realisation hit me like a bolt of lightning. "AHA!" I said and quickly noted the arrow on the poster pointing to another poster stuck to a wall at the end of the street, I rushed excitedly to it following the arrow to the next one around the corner.
My persistence was rewarded as finally a came into a small field by the town square where a stage had been set up and a group of kids and some adults were gathered, not a lot of people my age, suited me just fine I never really fitted in with people like me anyway, which was odd when I thought about it, I must've been the only 17 year old who did as his parents told him, willingly did chores around the house for nothing and wasn't obsessed with sports.
No I was more the theatrical type, movies, music and performances, heck I'd been one of yeh dancers on stage when the London 2012 Olympics came to my home town, ofcourse that was before I was transferred to canterlot high, ah memories, no one else might've cared anymore but to me there was no feeling like being on stage, that was one thing I had in common with this girl, we loved the spotlight.
Though if my memory served she had a bit of trouble sharing it, but that was a whole ago, I'm sure she'd changed since then, highschool and middle school are very far apart.
As the show started I eagerly found a nearby bench and sat on it, I was a bit in yeh back but I could still see the stage fine.
Music started playing, it was beautiful, a subtle violin solo starting off, 'just like her' I thought with a smile as I rolled my eyes 'dramatic and ominous, mounting up to.' A loud bang went off as night blue smoke, sparkling with traces of silver glitter mixed in for effect, flooded the stage.
"Her grand entrance." I muttered to myself.
A girl in a short purple skirt, soft night blue hoodie and a matching lavender cape and wizard's hat adorned with gold and silver stars, her silver hair peaked out the back, her very aura radiated confidence and splendour, 'a true performer' I thought 'ready to put on a show to dazzle the crowd.'
As I looked around, only a few people clapped, I didn't but then my appreciation had always gone without saying in my mind and I never was the type to make a lot of noise.
The lack of admiration didn't concern her, infact she seemed un phased. "Behold I am the great and powerful Trrrixie!" She declared some fireworks launching creating an amazing display above her, thankfully it was cloudy too so they were a lot easier to see, I gave a subtle "wow." In admiration, a wide smile from ear to ear plastered on my face. "Watch in aw as you are dazzled by Trixie." The silver haired Sourceress continued "with mind boggling illusions." She seemingly pulled all four of her fingers off and then produced flowers form nowhere, a creative spin on an old trick. "Fantastic fireworks!" More fireworks went off, I covered my ears a few more people cheered this time and I joined them. "And ofcourse." 'Here it comes.' I thought fixing my gaze on her. "Marvelous Magic!" She rolled her hands faster and faster infront of her, producing light using a concealed lighter and some iron filings hidden in a vial under her sleeve which made a small sparkler effect, how she avoided burning herself was astounding in itself, but what she did next was truly amazing.
She threw the sparks in the air temporarily blinding the audience before everyone turned to see Trixie standing atop a pedestal with stars and moon shapes around it. The emerald clasp holding her cape on her shoulders glowing brightly, sometimes I couldn't tell if she was the worlds greatest illusionist or a real sorceress.
I chuckled at the thought. Then I looked around, my smile faded, Trixie coward on stage, taking cover behind her pedestal as the audience boo'd loudly, a few of them throwing garbage at her, some of it pulled right out of the trash can next to me.
I jumped on stage and spread my arms out wide glaring down at them. "HEY NOW THAT'S ENOUGH!" I yelled loudly. "IF YOU DON'T LIKE HER SHOW THEN WHY DID HALF OF YOU EVEN BOTHER COMMING! NOW GET LOST OR I'LL CALL THE POLICE!" I raised my phone to my ear to show I was completely serious.
Thankfully this was one of those moments in the fifty percent of the time when my silver tongue got me out of a situation rather then into one, the audience of angry people dispersing, mutating to themselves, a few of them glaring at me over their shoulders.
A girl with pink and blue, short, curly hair blowing a raspberry at me as she grabbed the arm of the girl beside her and pulled her away "Come on Lyra." She said, the two were the last to leave, I sighed and turned around.
"Hey you ok?" I asked holding out my hand to help her up.
She stood up by herself and and brushed some dust off of her skirt "I-I'm fine," she said looking sort of glum. "Rats." She said sort of quieter, probably trying to avoid me hearing her. "That's the third show this week." My eyes went wide.
This was the THIRD time this had happened? My thoughts turned to anger for a moment, then a took a deep breath remembering their were more important things right now. "That was a pretty great show, guess the critiques here are worse then I thought." I said trying to cheer her up, I smiled as I managed to draw out a slight chuckle from her.
"Thanks." She said "nice to see someone enjoyed the show at least." Her smile quickly faded and she hugged herself. "Hey um, I'm gonna go, thanks again." She turned to leave but I stopped her smiling.
"You don't remember me do you?" I asked in sort of dramatic few words kinda way, what can I say, Trixie wasn't the only one who enjoyed drama perhaps a little too much. The girl raised an eyebrow and shook her head.
"No, um should I?" I chuckled.
"We use to go to middle school together, I sit behind you in science now." Trixie shook her head again.
"Sorry, not ringing a bell." She said looking sort of thoughtful and worried, like it bothered her she didn't remember. "Hey I really need to go, last time this happened someone took the parking break off my wagon and it rolled all the way down the block, but uh it was nice seeing you again." She said and turned, bolting down the street.
Now forgive me I've always been the paranoid type.. But the way she just ran like that told me there was more the. Just a concern for her wagon going on here.
So, like the hero in a fairy tale book... Or a creepy stalker, I followed her, just to make sure she was ok. Her wagon was parked in to trailer park nearby, it looked about as homy and quaint as ever, I'd always loved her wagon, reminded me of all those caravan camping trips my parents had taken me on.
I crept carefully to the window and peaked over the windowsill to see her sat infront of a dressing room table complete with mirror, it took up half the living room area of her wagon but then again it was pretty small, only really built for one or two people.
Then my heart suddenly turned to lead in my chest, it felt heavy and almost ready to crack as Trixie took off her cape, seething it with her hat on a small mannequin, stared at her reflection... And placed her head on the dressing room table... Crying.

Ok chapter two here you go guys hope you like it, personally cannot tell if this is as long or shorter then the last chapter but I noticed, the likes outweigh the disliiiikes XD

The ongoing performance
I watched from the windowsill, listening intently as she cried her ptetty lavender eyes out.
It tore my heart to pieces...
"Why?" She sobbed looking up at her reflection as if to ask the mirror. "Why do they even bother showing up? 'Sniff' if they're just going to boo me off stage they may aswell not even come but they do it anyway. 'Sniff' why can't they just leave me alone."
I continued to listen as she poured her heart out to her reflection, how long had this been going on? No way it was just the last three shows, this had been happening for a while. I placed a hand on my chin puzzling as I listened.
"I-it's not like I haven't tried." Trixie continued wiping tears from her eyes futilely as more dripped down her cheeks onto the desk. "I stopped referring to myself in third person 'sniff' I lowered the number of fireworks, stopped bragging about that incident with the bear which never happened." She banged her hands on the desk as she hit her lowest point. "What more do they want ?!"
I watched as she slowly looked up at a couple, of pictures taped to the mirror... One was of her when she was little, putting ona magic show using a kit her father had bought her for her birthday... I remembered that, she was so happy she didn't even care I was the only one who showed up. Another was of our class, perhaps she did remember me after all but if that was the case why did she pretend not to earlier? And finally, she took the third from it's place giving a small smile, tears still in her eyes... It was a picture of her mother.
The woman in the picture looked a lot like. Trixie, but she was more mature, dressed in a lavender suit and had shorter more grey hair then silver, and speak black glasses, the kind you see on executives and sequiturs. "'Sniff' At least... You always understood." Trixie said clutching the picture in her hands "I miss you mom."
Those words struck me like a black iron arrow to the heart... Was she homesick? No, granted she'd moved far away from home to come to this school as had I, but... No... This was deeper...then a sudden realisation washed over me as the pieces clicked together in my mind making me go wide eyed for a moment. "Oh my god." I whispered to myself then ducked as. Trixie turned to the window, damnit she'd heard me.
"Who's there?!" She asked in a mixture of anger and fear. "Stay away from me ok?! Just leave me alone !" She yelled out the window before returning to her seat, I cautiously peaked my head up again after I thought it was safe, Trixie was smiling at the pictures again, tears still rolling down her face... Even when she was sad, she was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen... But damnit if it didn't eat me up inside to see her this way.
Then.. I pricked up my ear as Trixie cleared her throat.
And with a deep breath... She started to sing.
The tune was slow, Soft, Like a lullaby. And the way she Sang it, I could almost imagine the music that accompanied the words in my head perfectly.
"Siiiilver wings, whisper to you. hush, hush your dreams await. Cloooose your eeeeyes and I will follow, into our kingdom of magic and snooooooooow." I didn't dare look away, nor did I pay attention to anything else, she was amazing. "Castles of gold and shiiiiining copper, knights in armour, courageous and booooold. Aaaaall is calm, the people tender, they'll shelter us from all the sorrow and coooooooold."
There was a pause. She turned a key in music box three times... That same melody.. Just as I had imagined it, slow and piece full, something you could fall asleep to. I realized I was leaning in too far and ducked back down before she had a chance to notice me. Listening as she continued. "Sleeeeep my dear, and have no fear, for no one can find us theeeeeere. This land is safe and weeeell protected, the people are kind and their judgement is faaaaaaair... There aaaare no dungeons, there aaaare no chains, the outcasts are welcomed with gleeeeee, for here we're the same and no one's to blame, the stars all shine bright for the whole town to seeeeeeee." She spread her arms out wide and suddenly stopped, I ducked as she gave an "Oh!" Of surprise.
Peaking my head back up I saw her bent over picking up the shards of a broken ceramic case meant for a powder puff which instead had odd bits of string, beads and a needle and thread, Trixie put them onto the desk and picked up an old wooden music box which had also fallen onto the floor hugging it tightly, whispering to herself "please don't be broken, please please please."
I watched as she turned the key... And gave a sigh of relief as it played flawlessly, it was perfectly fine.
Then I gave a. Audible "Phew." And instantly ducked as Trixie turned again, 'rats!' I thought covering my mouth.
"H-who's out there?! Show yourself!" She yelled. I tried my best to stay quiet and still, I had always been good at sneaking around dispute my abnormally tall stature but dang it she just sounded so scared I couldn't just leave, I'd be worrying all night if I'd scared the poor girl half to death, I stood up and walked towards her slowly.
"Ok relax it's just." Before I could finish. Trixie smacked me in the face with the broom knocking me into the Side of her wagon where the impact made me stumble and trip of a rock, landing face first on the ground and managing to knock myself out.
"Uh oh." Trixie said throwing the room back into her house and picking me up by the shoulders, doing her best to carry my unconscious body into her wagon.
A few hours later I woke up with a pounding headache, it didn't help that as I sat up I hit my head on the ceiling. "Ow!" I cried out clasping a hand to my head.
"Careful!" Trixie exclaimed rushing over to me with. A small bowl of cold water and soaking a towel in it, pressing it to my head. "That's a nasty bruise, I'm not surprised you gave yourself a concussion." Thinking to myself 'if memory serves YOU were the one who hit me in the face with a broom.' I realised it better not to say that less I invite her to mention me being right outside her window with no explination, the last thing I wanted was to be branded a stalker. "Does it hurt?" She asked.
"What this? I've had hangovers worse." I said chuckling, though that was probably only funny to me since it had been a while since I last saw Trixie and she probably didn't remember me that we'll.. Great now she probably thinks I'm an alcoholic. "I'm kidding." I said as she gave my a raised eyebrow. "I don't drink honest."
"Right." Trixie said sceptically "and I'm just suppose to take the word of a guy I found hiding outside my window." I rubbed the back of my neck nervously as she tended to my head injury.
"Right, good point." I replied, too rational for my own damn good.
"So um." Trixie began. "H-how long were you out there?" I stammered nervously for a moment, then took a deep breath.
"We'll um... You see after the show I kinda followed you home to try check if you were alright." I said not looking her in the eye. "Then I heard you sing and OW!" Trixie tensed putting pressure on the bruise on my head before backing away slowly.
"H-how much did you hear?!" She asked, this was new she almost sounded like Fluttershy.
"Not much. " I admitted "just the first two verses then you stopped when you knocked over that music box." There was a moment of silence, Trixie hugged herself staring at the corner away from me, leaning on the wall, there wasn't exactly anywhere she could go to get away from me considering the size of her little practically one room wagon. "Y-you sounded... Beautiful." I finally worked up the nerve to say.
"Oh.. I uh.. Thank you." She replied nervously.
"Hey I gotta ask." I continued. Trixie looking a little lamer looked me in the eyes as I did her, it was rude to talk to someone and not look them in the eyes. "Back at the show, why didn't you open with something like that? I personally enjoyed your entrance.. But if your previous breakdown was anything to go by." She suddenly slapped me cutting me off.
"I did not have a nervous breakdown!" Trixie yelled in my face. "I was just... Upset." She said crossing her arms and pouting.
"Oookaaaay?" I said "my apologies... Anyway you clearly want to be a crowd pleaser... Why not sing like you did just then? The audience would probably love you."
"We'll.. Um... I." Trixie rubbed her arm nervously "T-Trixie.. Th-that is to say I... Um... Have.. Stez fus." She muttered the last two words so I couldn't make them out.
"Come again ?" I inquired.
"I... I have... Stez fus." She repeated.
"Diiiiidn't quite catch that." Trixie the blurted out.
"I have stage fright ok?!"
My eyes went wide and my jaw dropped, I cleaned out my ears to check I 'd heard that right. "I'm sorry did I just hear you right'?... You have stage fight?"
"O-only when singing." Trixie admitted. "She only, I mean, I only sang in that contest cuz I was performing with the Dazzlings... If I'd been up on that stage alone I probably would've choked." I sat on the bed completely dumbstruck, staring blankly at the girl standing infront of me, this was unbelievable, The Great. Trixie Lulamoon? Master of magic and illusion, not to mention fabulous fireworks extraordinaire Afraid to sing in public?
"Um... Ok?" I said unsure what else I could say, then I cleared my throat. "So um... C-can you tell me exactly... Why?" I asked nervously... Trixie frowned looking down at her feet.
"Um... Y-yeah.. Sure." She said as she room a deep breath. "J-just let me... Sit down first." She sat down beside me on her bed then a few awkward seconds later she looked up at me, "It's kind of a long story."

Ok I had to rewrite this chapter after a glitch made me lose everything I had written so if this chapter seems a bit short, I apologise and I will try to make it up on the next chapter.

Pandora's music box
Trixie took a deep breath, this was clearly hard for her, I gave a gentle smile to try put her at ease, she returned the smile and began, seeming a bit more relaxed. "I-it started when in was about seven." She explained "About five years before I got accepted to Canterlot High, my mother surprised me one morning with an odd purple box, it had the same pattern as my cap now come to think of it." She looked over at the mannequin wearing her cape and hat with assorted of distant far away gaze as though remembering some old fairy tale from when she was little. "When I opened it, there was this odd little wooden box inside."
"I take it that box would be the music box I saw you fussing over earlier?" I asked.
Trixie nodded. "It was so beautiful, then when I notice the key I asked my mom what it was for, she told me turn it thrice and find out." She giggled "she was always trying to get me to figure stuff out on my own, probably cuz my older sisters always got everything handed to them by dad. Anyway I turned the key and it started playing this beautiful music, I was completely amazed, it sounded so too thing, almost like a lullaby."
"Like the one you were singing earlier?" She nodded again.
"Then she hugged me tightly." She closed her eyes hugging herself as she pictured the tender moment in her head. "Stroked my hair and started to sing... The song was so beautiful I, I guess I fell asleep, cuz I woke up a few hours later to find the music box up on my dresser with a note attached." Trixie smiled looking up at me "I won't bore you with what it said but, it made me want to be a singer, so the next day I applied for one of those TV talent shows, I was so excited... Then i got up on stage." She suddenly frowned "the audience was way bigger then I'd imagined, I mean I was just a little kid at the time so it sort of made the audience seem even bigger. And with all of them staring at me we'll.. I just... Choked."
She looked down Solemnly, I put a hand on her shoulder to try comfort her. "I messed up a few notes, then because I'd forgotten to tie my shoes I tripped and landed flat on my face, the audience laughed and the judges all agreed I was the worst they'd ever seen."
"And.. That's why you don't like to perform infront of other people?" Trixie shook her head.
"No... That was just the start." She took another deep breath "a few years later after my twelfth birthday, I applied to be on another show, this one was live this time and with a much larger audience, I had grown a little more use to large crowds by this time, I did rather well infact.. Then my voice cracked on stage and I messed up on the high note at the end... I was so embarrassed, the judge said I sounded like a broken squeaky toy." Trixie's face collided with her heads again "I was so humiliated, I ran off stage crying."
I sat there for a moment completely speechless, I knew this attention grabbing Great tend Powerful stuff was just an act... But I never realised she was this... Fragile. "You ok?" I asked, Trixie nodded.
"Then.. When I was thirteen.. I got a gig filling in for a friend of mine when her backup singer got a cold... I was so excited and nervous, when the curtain opened I.... Ugh." Trixie facepalmed again. "I passed out at the start of the show."
There was an awkward silence as I rubbed the back of my neck nervously. If there was anything I could say, my brain was fop having trouble comming up with it.
"Anyway ever since then I've just given up, I only sing when I'm alone because I'm terrified if I sing infront of other people they'll just laugh at me, or I'll get nervous and mess up again. I transferred here two years later and I pay my rent by selling herbal remedies made using ingredients I get from a market across town, that and whatever I can scrap up doing my shows and washing laundry for the other people in the lot, not all of them like walking half a block to use the laundromat.. It's kind of depressing." As she looked down I gently placed a hand on her shoulder and used the other to tilt her head up by the chin to look me in the eyes.
"Trixie Lulamoon." I said. "You are the most amazing, and talented performer I know and I'll be damned if I let you squander this talent of yours." Trixie blushed slightly a small smile appearing on her face. "So starting tomorrow you and I are going to help you get over your fears and show the world just how great you are."
Author's Note
For the first song I came up with the lyrics but the tune they go to is the Davy Jones theme by hanz zimmer (I think that's how you spell his name) from pirates of the Caribbean but only the slow quiet part not the dramatic, awesome, scary part.
Rehearsals
The next day was Monday so Trixie and I were in school and for the first time when she sat infront of me during home room, she turned to face me... And smiled.
I smiled back and as we both turned away smiling nervously a few other students took notice. The day went by pretty fast and I'd managed to convince Vice principal Luna to let us borrow the music room for lunch so we could practice. "Ok." I said as I opened up the Piano which Trixie sat ontop of. "I'm just going to warn you I'm a little rusty and so year I can only play one song." I said looking at the sheet music which I had been translated into letters, a rag sat in a bucket of cold water next to me to clean off the letters I had written on the keys when we were done.
"Well that's fine." Trixie said. "I'm very good at adapting, no matter what you play I can guarantee I will do great." I chuckled and turned to my sheet music and slowly began to play familiarising myself with the notes.
After a few minutes I stopped. "Alright I think I'm warmed up enough, do you want to do some vocal exercises before we start?" Trixie shot me a confused look then brushing back her luscious silver hair said.
"You''red kidding right? Remember who your working with."
"I do." I said and. Trixie's confident smirk faded "That's why we're doing this remember? You don't need to keep up the act with me, remember I saw what you're really like last night." Trixie looked down, oh great now I'd depressed her. 'Nice going genius.' I mentally scolded myself. I opened my mouth to speak a few times but couldn't bring myself to say anything! Then finally... as I felt my spine reform. "T-Trixie." I said nervously "I-I didn't... All I meant was."
"It's fine." Trixie said putting her hand on mine which caused me to look to our hands first then back at her confused. "I get it, really." She said smiling at me. "It's just... Hmhmhm old habits die hard I guess." She chuckled.
I smiled.
"Ok then, we'll if you're ready." Trixie nodded and slowly I began to play, starting with a simple song I had learned during the few piano lessons I had from when I was thirteen. I watched as she cleared her throat, then against all odds somehow managed to keep my concentration as I heard her sing.
"Nooooble kniiiight on vaaaaliant steeed, come to take you awaaaaay. Doooo not fear the danger and cooold, for wiiiith you he shall staaaaay." A smile spread across her face and I wondered just where she got these lyrics from, what was her inspiration? "His aaaarmour shiiiines as brilliant as daaay, his shield is forged oof goooold, his siiiilver blade it shiiines like the moon, my heeeero brave and boooold." Her words felt as though they came from her heart, and her voice was soft and sweet.. I temporarily lost focus and hit a wrong note.
She suddenly stopped as did I. "S-sorry." I said. "I got a little distracted."
"I-it's fine." Trixie said. "I'm going to go get a glass of water, you want anything?"
"Um." I took out my wallet and gave her two coins "here get a bottle from the vending machine outside it's cooler, and um just a coke for me." Trixie smiled and nodded before walking out. I waited for her to leave before taking out a scrap of paper from my bag and scribbling down her words, they were so beautiful, so heartfelt.
Who could she possibly have been singing about?
I quickly stuffed the paper back into my bag as Trixie walked over to me with a bottle of water in one hand and a bottle of coke in the other handing me the coke. "Thanks." I said.
"No problem." She replied "oh here." She reached into her pocket and placed some coins on the table next to me. "Your change, so uh anyway up until you missed that note.. H-how'd I do?" She asked becoming noticeably nervous when she asked about herself.
I smiled "amazing, those lyrics were pretty cool too, how'd you come up with them on the spot like that?" The silver haired girl just shrugged and took a sip of her water.
"They just, came to me I guess."
I pondered that for a moment before removing the top on my coke bottle raising it up "well whatever it was, it was fantastic, you were fantastic." I brought my bottle closer to her in a toast "here's to a brilliant partnership."
Trixie giggled then clinked her bottle against mine, we'll not exactly a clink more like the sound of plastic bumping plastic but the word for the action we performed was usually meant for glasses.
A few more hours of practice later I started packing up, placing the papers into my shoulder bag after organising and paper clipping them together. "Alright I think that's enough for today." I said. "You really did sound great today, I think I might need a bit more practice though." This managed to get a chuckle out of Trixie which made me smile.
"Well I better get going, I've got english next." This time it was me who chuckled. "What's so funny?" Trixie asked.
"Sorry." I replied. "It's just, I know what class you have now, we're in the same class. In fact come to think of it, we're in a lot of classes together."
"What?!" Trixie asked surprised.
"Here take a look." I took my student schedular and compared it to hers. "See."
"Oh wow." Trixie said as she saw that indeed our schedular were almost identical except for two distinct differences, on Monday mornings I had science where as Trixie had math and vice versa in the afternoon. and then again on Thursday I had music class and Trixie had art. "Hm, odd I've never seen you, or I don't remember seeing you in these classes."
"Yeah we'll we're in different P.E groups and I normally tend to sit in the back, being up near the front row I'd actually be surprised if you did see me."
"But how come you never tried to talk to me?" She asked.
"Honestly?" I chuckled. "I never was the best at talking to pretty girls." I rubbed the back of my neck nervously.
Trixie blushed. "Y-you really think I'm... Pretty?" She asked rubbing her arm, her face revealing she felt both flattered and embarrassed, if not just about as nervous as me.
"Well.. Yeah." I admitted. "Especially your hair." Trixie blushed again brushing her hair back and turning her eyes away from me, a small smile on her face.
"Th-thanks." Was all she said before the two of us gathered our things and left for our respective classes.

Ok seeing how we'll this story is doing I have put Thai at the top of my lust guys, I'm not gonna make anymore fics until my current ones are done and this one is the first so look forward to more pages of this fic XD
Hoping to get a reading of this done but either way the next chapter should certainly be more interesting and possibly the longest.
I try to keep these chapters around the same length to keep readers interested, after all if the chapter is too long they'll get bored, if it's too short the fic will seem amature. So hey there you go guys tere is a method to my madness in these short chapters XD
Knight in shining armor
English class went slightly different then normal, as we walked in Trixie didn't sit in the same place, unlike our other classes this class operated on a two large table system in which everyone was aloud to sit at any seat they wanted. And this time Trixie sat right next to me.
She have a smile as we took out our notebooks and paper, Trixie pulled a broken pencil from her bag and sighed. "Darnit that was my last one." I just gave a smile and handed her a pack of four pens and three pencils from a pack of twenty.
She gave me a look like I'd just slid her an embarrassing photo, her eyes were wide and she looked confused. "I've learned from experience to bring an abundance, especially with my spontaneous sketching habits." I said with a chuckle. "Do you need a sharpener?" I asked.
"N-no." Trixie replied slowly smiling. "Thank you."
"Not a problem." I said. "Keep them like I said I have tons, what's a few pencils and pens between friends?" Trixie gave a chuckle shaking one of the pens at me.
"Guess this makes us 'Pen' pals huh?" We both chuckled. I couldn't help it, the joke was kind if corny but I'd told worse and honestly I just loved hearing her laugh.
She had the cutest laugh. "I guess so." I smiled, she smiled back.
The task set for us by the teacher was simple, write a short story, while most students wrote one or two pages of their summer vacation or their last birthday, Trixie and I were a little different. I wrote a ten page story back to back (which means I used both sides of the paper) and all of it fiction, I never was good at writing real world events.
But when the teacher told us to switch stories with a person next to us and Trixie and I swapped stories I couldn't help but feel jealous, her story was only two pages longer but it was amazing, it made me laugh and I did love to laugh so it only made me love it all the more. It was a cute little story in which everyone in the school were equines, replacing words like hands with hooves and hair with mane. A lot of the story had heart warming moments and a cute little scene where the natural transition of winter to spring was done by hand, or as Trixie put it by hoof.
She heard me chuckling and turned to me smiling. "What?" She asked.
"Your story." I said. "It's cute, funny... You're a really skilled writer." Trixie blushed. "Though a little childish, I mean come on, ponies?" I teased rising an eyebrow smirking.
Trixie gave me a shove letting a mock gasp slip I chuckled. "Hey." She chuckled too.
"Just kidding." I said handing her back her story. "Seriously though, it's really good."
"Thanks." She replied. "Yours is pretty good too, I especially like the silver sorceress, where'd you come up with that?" She asked, now it was my turn to blush.
"Well, the same all the best writers do. I took inspiration from someone in my life." I looked directly at her smiling nervously. Trixie's previous blush returned with avengence, intensifying as she realized I was talking about her.
The rest of class went on normally, we worked quietly, reviewed each other's work when told and when class was over we headed out and met up near the statue infront of the school after getting the rest of our stuff from our respective lockers. Trixie was holding something behind her back, I peaked over her shoulder trying to see what it was but she shifted slightly to block it from my view. "What's that behind you're back?" I asked.
Trixie blushed. "J-just a um, well... Here." She grabbed my hand and stuffed something into it. "I.. I um.. Want you to have this."
I opened my hand, Trixie standing infront of me with a blush on her face, rubbing her arm nervously. In my palm was a small silver ring with a treblecleff encore rated into the shape of the ring. "Oh wow." I said admiring the flawless craftsmanship and the amazing detail, even the way it shined in the light as I twirled it in my hand. "Trixie this... This is amazing." I said which made Trixie smile.
"Thanks... I uh.. I made it myself." This surprised me very much.
"You... Made this?" I asked her, she nodded.
"I.. Meted down some these old silver coins I had, they were worthless, I know I tried to exchange them they were the equivilant to twenty five cents all together so.. I figured this was a better trade." I tried on the ring, a perfect fit.
"Wow... How did you?"
"I have a back for this sort of thing." Trixie said. "It was kinda tricky, the hardest part was making the mould but thankfully the school has a metal works area in shop class."
"Trixie.. I..." I was speechless, she'd made this for me, it fit right, it was beautiful and.. There was no doubt it was specifically for me, I hugged her. "Thank you." Trixie stood still for a moment then slowly I felt her arms wrap around me as she hugged me back, then I heard something, soft whimpering and I felt the warmth of tears on my shoulder, Trixie was quietly sobbing. "Hey now, what's up ?" I asked breaking the hug, holding one of her hands and wiping away her tears with the other before she pulled her hand away and began wiping them away herself, balling like a child.
"I-it's just... Normally everyone is so 'sniff' so mean and, and You've been so nice to me even though I barely remember you or even notice you and." I stopped her as I grabbed her hands pulling them form her face and giving her another hug, the way she was panicking and stammering like that, crying her eyes out unable to stop the tears... It tore me up inside.
I stood there a hand gently on the back of her head, the other on her back, holding her close as she cried into my shoulder hugging me tightly. "Shhh it's ok." I said letting her get it all out. "It doesn't matter if you didn't remember me right away you hear me? I don't care about that."
"'sniff' R-really?" She asked still crying.
"Yes... Now please.. Just calm down." I half begged half whispered to her, her feeling terrible was making me feel terrible. Trixie dried her eyes and looked up at me with a smile having calmed down a little, still.. I couldn't help but feel worried. "Hey.. Trixie?"
"Hm?" Trixie's slight smile faded as she tilted her head slightly in confusion.
I took a deep breath thinking carefully how to say this. "W-would you like to come over to my place tonight?" I asked. "Y-you could stay for dinner and we have a spared bedroom if you'd like to sleep over."
Trixie smiled again and I swore I saw her place a hand over her heart before quickly blushing for a moment and putting her hands in her pickets. "Um s-sure I... I'd like that." She said shyly. "Better then another lonely night in that crafty old wagon." She gave a nervous chuckle.. I only gave a sad concerned expression, followed by a warm comforting smile.
"Alright, we'll that puts my mind at ease somewhat." I held my arm out bent for her to hold onto. "Well then, shall we my lady?" I asked trying to lighten the mood with some good old fashioned none sense.
Trixie giggled before wrapping her arms around mine and walking with me, her head on my shoulder as she leaned into ye slightly. "Mhhh that sounds nice." She sighed the words contently which made me smile. In my other hand I held the silver ring she'd given me' using my thumb I slipped it onto my finger and slipped the hand into my pocket.
We started to walk away form the school, Trixie happily following me as I lead her to my house. 'Well this day was going splendidly.' I thought to myself. 'I had pizza for lunch, received a very thoughtful gift from a good friend and I now had one of the prettiest girls I knew on my arm and was bringing her home for dinner... Oh my parents would be proud.'

As I unlocked the front door I suddenly for the first time wished my parents weren't out that night, if only so I could show off a little. I mean this was happening, this was really happening, I was bringing a pretty girl home for dinner. Almost like a date, I was so excited I almost lost my cool more then once, I'd even chuckled on the way here but saved myself by telling. Trixie I'd just remembered a really stupid joke my cousin once told me.
"Well here we are." I said with a smile. "Home sweet home." I gestured to the hallway which opened up into a large living room at one side, a light grey carpet under white painted walls giving it a warm clean futuristic look, especially with the couch made to seat three with a fourth person reclined on the other end, it was one of those L shaped sofas, the kind best friends slept on during sleepovers, or the kind you cuddle up on with your girlfriend when watching a movie.
A lamp sat on table behind said sofa, a footrest infront and a flat screen mounted on the wall, this wasn't uncommon in some homes given the times but still the look of wonder on Trixie's face.. It was so cute. I let out a soft chuckle which. Trixie noticed and put her hands on her hips flashing me a look like a scolding mother. "What?" She asked.
"I'm sorry." I said still chuckling. "It's just, you looked so cute there for a second." Trixie's annoyed stern look was replaced by an embarrassed, wide eyed blush. "Here why don't you sit down? I'll get you a drink." I said with a smile and Trixie nodded sitting on the sofa. "Alright so what's your poison? We have coke, orange squash, black current or water. Oh or we have tea or hot chocolate in the jars behind me almost forgot about that." I rambled trying way too hard to be funny in some way.
"Hmm a hot chocolate sounds nice about now. " Trixie said smiling hugging one of her knees.
"Then the sweetest of hot chocolates it shall be my lady, with only the softest of marshmallows afloat amidst the foamy banks of your mug." This time I had succeeded in getting a giggle out of her,though i kind of yet like a goof.
"So, you live here by yourself?" Trixie asked looking around the living room.
"No." I called from the kitchen as I took a carter of milk from the fridge and began to boil a fresh pot of water for the hot chocolate. "My parents are out tonight, odds are they won't be back till late so, we have the place to ourselves for the night." I began to pour the hot water into the mug of coco powdered, pouring some milk in not the same time and paying close attention so the mug didn't overflow. As I stirred I took a bag of miniature marshmallows from the cupboard above my head and placed them next to me. "So uh." I called from the kitchen. "You comfy? Need anything else while I'm up?"
"No thanks." She replied politely. "To be honest I'm kind of jealous, this place is amazing. Though would it be ok if I had a shower after dinner?"
"Ofcourse." I said cheerily. "What's mine is yours, oh by the way hope you like chicken."
"Uh actually.. I'm a vegetarian." She called out hesitantly, I paused for a moment.
"Oh, we'll that's fine." I said chuckling. "How about a salad instead?"
Trixie smiled. "Sounds great." I walked in with a glass of Orange squash and her hot chocolate, handing the mug to her carefully. "Thanks." She said gratefully accepting the mug. "You didn't make yourself one?" She asked before taking a sip.
I chuckled. "Nope, call me weird but, never really was fond of hot drinks."
"You're weird." Trixie said grinning mischievously.
"Very funny." I said sharing her grin and both of us giving a small chuckle. "Alright well I'm gonna go get dinner started, I'll be back in a minute alright?" Trixie smiled and nodded giving a rather cute 'mhm.'
I returned a few minutes later with a salad and a sandwich filled with refrigerated sandwich slices of chicken, I wasn't feeling all that hungry so I'd decided not to cook anything incase I finished. The two of us ate our small light meals on the sofa watching a Lee Evans DVD my dad had gotten me for Christmas last year, Trixie didn't get some of the jokes but once I explained them she understood and found most of them funny. "Thanks, that was really good." Trixie said as I took her plate and stood up to take them into the kitchen.
"Not a problem." I said happy she'd enjoyed it "alright so the bathroom's the third door on the right for when you want to take your shower, if you leave your clothes out I'll put them into the machine for you and I can loan you some pyjamas." Trixie giggled a bit.
"Thanks." She said standing up and heading towards the stairs.
I chuckled back. "Better then sleeping in your clothes and feeling unclean again tomorrow."
"True." She said smiling. "Thanks again for this, really... I appreciate it." I paused for a moment, then after a deep breath sensing the sincerity in her voice.
"Don 't mention it." I said and started to wash the dishes. Trixie smiled and headed upstairs, I heard the sound of the shower turning on, followed by a startled cry.
"AAAH!" I facepalmed. 'Stupid!' I mentally scolded myself.
"O-oh yeah, sorry I forgot." I called up to her. "You need to give the shower a minute to warm up sorry about that." With a sigh Trixie shook her head and smiled. A minute or two later I walked upstairs to find a small pile of clothes by the bathroom door.

With a mild blush I began to pick them up to carry them down to the washing machine, my blush intensified as I came across a soft white pair of cotton panties hidden within her folded up skirt, they had a similar symbol to her skirt printed on the part that would normally cover her rump, that wand certainly put a spell on me as my face reddened and my heart rate sped up.
They were so soft and delicate... Soft... Delicate... Why did those words make me think of more then just Trixie's underwear, images of her body pressed against mine raced through my mind as we snuggled up under the covers of my bed, she brought her face closer to mine, smiling with her eyes half closed in a content loving gaze and puckering her lips as we drew closer and closer until...
'Woah woah woah! Get hold of yourself!' I thought, shaking my head. I stood up, carrying the clothes downstairs. 'Ok so there 's a pretty girl in my shower, a pretty girl in my shower... Man I sound like a pervert in my head.' I thought as the words repeated in my head. I wiped some sweat form my brow and placed. Trixie's clothes in the machine, setting it to wash and loading the powder before turning it on and splashing some cold water over my face from the kitchen sink.
As the machine finished I set Trixie's clothes out on the radiator in my bedroom, just incase my parents came home and got the wrong idea when they saw an unfamiliar girls clothes in the house. Going through my drawers unfortunately I was wearing my last pair of pyjamas at that moment, a set of iron man print pyjama bottoms and a spiderman T-shirt. "Uh oh." I said looking nervous. "Sigh it's ok, it's fine." I tried to convince myself with little success. "Guess we'll have to... Improvise."
Hesitantly I grabbed a pair of green cotton boxers with a navy blue trim and a white plain T-shirt that would probably be a size or two too big for her when I compared it to Trixie's jacket on the radiator I placed them neatly on my bed then went over to the bathroom door and knocked as I heard the shower stop. "Uh.. Trixie?"
"Yeah?" She replied stepping out of the shower to dry herself off.
"Um all my other PJ's are in the laundry and I'm wearing my last pair so uh, I've had to improvise... I hope that's alright." I said expecting her to object or be suspicious.
To my surprise Trixie giggled. "It's fine really, trust me I've had to improvise a couple times in my wagon." I breathed a sigh of relief. Then shook my head feeling like an idiot for worrying, still though she was really surprising me, being so cool with this.
"Ok we'll, great." I said not even trying to hide how relieved I was. "Ok well, I'll just be downstairs, your uh.. Substitute Jammies are in my room across the hall with your clothes ok?"
"Alright thanks, I'll be down in a minute." I smiled for a minute then headed downstairs as I heard the bathroom door creak open, risk sting with every bone in my body to turn around and peak at. Trixie dressed in nothing by a bath towel, however this didn't stop my mind form making the attempt and as the mental image filled my mind I blushed eyes like saucers as I opened them wider then I even thought humanly possible.
I sat on the sofa an empty glass in my hand as I had gulped down my juice in the first two minutes, the other three occupied by thoughts of Trixie either in her towel or the underwear and shirt I'd put out for her and honestly she looked pretty hot. "Thinking about me cutie?" A voice teased from behind me I stood up and turned around and instantly froze eyes locked on the girl standing infront of me. "Hmhmhm so how do I look?" Trixie asked hands on her hips as she gave a twirl.
I was speechless. I could only just make out the trim of the legs of the green boxers peaking out of the bottom of the shirt, I was right it was two sizes too big looking more like a slightly baggy dress then a T-shirt. It hugged her body nicely, snugly as I eyed her up and down I couldn't help but pause momentarily taking possibly a little too long to examine her chest and hips.
Trixie giggled noticing my slack jawed stare blushing a little bit. "Wow guess I look better then I thought." I blushed rubbing the back of my neck as I smile nervously.
"Uh y-yeah.. You look, g-great." I said looking away for a moment. Then as I returned my gaze to Trixie I notice she'd stepped closer to me, smiling and... And her eyes... They were exactly like in my head. "Uh T-Trixie? A-are you feeling ok?" I asked nervously. In my head I thought 'are you blind dude?! Come on a pretty girl is wearing your clohtes! In your house! This is romance movie brand flirting she's comming onto you!' At this my face turned red and Trixie giggled again wrapping her arms around me. 'Ok.' I thought my eyes wide as I hugged Trixie back. "There's a pretty girl, a girl I've liked for a while now, in my house, wearing my clothes and hugging me.'
'Well thank you captain obvious.' My subconscious said sarcastically.
"Hey um... Are you ok?" She asked grinning an eyebrow raised in a sort of mischieviously, teasing expression.
"Uh y-yeah." I said clearing my throat, her being close to me wasn't helping the tension making it hard for me to talk to her. Infact that coupled with what she was wearing actually amplified it. "Uh h-how about I show you to the spare room?" Trixie giggled again.
"Sure, I'm getting kinda tired anyway and it's getting late." 'It was?' I thought then turned to the clock on the wall blinking a few times, I hadn't checked the time since we'd met up infront of the statue. Apparently we'd taken longer then I'd thought to walk back to my house. My attention then turned back to Trixie as she gave a yawn,marching her back and stretching. "Yeeeaaahhhhh, mhhhh." I couldn't help but stare a bit taking a mental photograph of her as she scrunched her face up in the cutest way as she stretched.
A smile spread onto my face as I rubbed the ring Trixie had given me still on my finger. "Alright sleepy head, rigt this way." I held out my arm again and Trixie wrapped her ps around it, closing her eyes and letting me lead her over to the stairs as she almost fell asleep standing up propped up against me. As I looked at the stars and then Trixie I decided probably not the best idea to let her walk up them herself so, stopping at the foot of the steps, I placed a hand under her thigh, picking her up and carrying she up the stairs bridal style.
Trixie didn't seem phased, infact other then a slight blush she didn't change much at all as she wrapped her arms around my neck. I chuckled thinking she looked so cute like this, I continued to carry her to the guest room next door to mine gently setting her down in the bed and tucking her in.
My smile didn't falter as I watched her, already fast asleep smiling as she hugged her pillow and stroking her soft silver hair away from her face I leaned in giving her. A gentle kiss on the cheek. "Goodnight Trixie." I said softly and turned to leave the room, as i closed e door, being careful not to wake her and crept into my room, tucking myself into bed and gently falling to sleep, the mental image of Trixie stretching with her face all scrunched up like it was earlier and her back arched fresh in my mind, aswell as the image of her peacefully sound asleep in bed. As my eyelids began to feel heavy I slowly removed the ring Trixie had given me giving it one finale look before placing it on my bed issue table and closing my eyes.

(Bonus Chapter) Mirror Mirror
Trixie stepped out of the bathroom feeling fresh and clean, smiling over at me as she watched me walk downstairs clearly trying not to look. She giggled to herself 'such a gentleman.' She thought, turning to face my bedroom door and crossing the hall and stepping inside as she opened the door, promptly closing it behind her.
She gave a sigh smiling, a smile which quickly faded. "Why can't I just tell him how I feel?" She asked herself quietly. "I mean he's so nice, I forgot all about him after we went our seperate ways but then after five years we meet again in Canterlot high and despite me not remembering him... He still remembered me." As she said those last words a smile spread across her face again, placing a hand over her chest where her heart was.
With a long sigh Trixie walked over to the bed where she discovered her sleepwear for the evening. She giggled at the articles of clothing thinking it was sweet that dispute not thinking ahead to check before offering her a set of Pj's I'd at least tried to substitute as best I could.
Slowly she unwrapped the towel around her body, letting it fall to the floor as she picked up the green cotton boxers, turning them in her hands. They were moderately plane but looked like they'd fit her, this made Trixie blush a bit as she looked over her shoulder back at her rump. "Maybe I should try lose a little wieght." She thought out loud to herself embarrassed her derrière was large enough to fit into a men's pair of boxers and them not to be baggy, even if they did have an elastic waistband.
Trixie lowered the boxers to the floor and raised her left foot lowering it through the left leg hole, following soon with the same action by the right foot. Separating her legs a few inches, stretching the underwear around her ankles before slowly starting to pull them up. The leg holes stretched slightly as they slid up her thighs and then stretched their fabric even further as the underwear slid over her rump and around her hips.
Looking down at the underwear Trixie gave a slight blush. 'Ok Trixie calm down.' She thought to herself. 'You're just getting dressed... In a boys house.. A boy you really like... While wearing his clothes.' With a whimper Trixie blushed picked up my shirt and slipping it over herself. as she tugged it down, bottom of the shirt ending halfway down her hips Trixie turned to see her reflection in a full body mirror I had in my bedroom. Putting her hands on her hips and admiring herself in yeh reflection Trixie had to admit, she looked pretty cute.
She turned to get a better look at every side of her and as she peaked over her shoulder back at her reflection, Trixie couldn't help but like what she saw as she stuck her rump out a little behind her. "Hmm not too bad." She said, hands still on her hips. "And his shirt is so warm." She said hugging herself, closing her eyes as she imagined the arms wrapped around her were mine.
Then as she realised what she was doing she blushed and instantly stopped. "Get a hold of yourself Trixie." She whispered to herself. "Just go downstairs and.. Tell him how you feel." She took a deep breath and smiled as she turned back to her reflection. "Hmmm maybe tease him a bit, can't hurt to use my 'assets' to help my chances." She said wiggling her rump at the mirror and giggling before she exited my bedroom and headed downstairs.

Ok so a user on this site by the name of Texas asked why I didn't have the character leave a note explaining things to their parents
My answer is simple, that would have kinda made this next chapter contradictory.
Anyway no kore talk enjoy the next part of less is more and I hope I am still delivering the quality you've all enjoyed in the last few chapters.
Parents are a nightmare
A while later I was woken up by a gentle nudge, I opened my eyes to see Trixie, a shy look n her face, hugging one of her pillows. "Mhh Trixie?" I asked sleepily trying to keep my eyes awake.
"Um c.. Could I sleep with you?" She asked timidly, hiding her face behind the pillow slightly as she blushed. "I.. I had a nightmare.. And I'm.. A little freaked out." I paused for a moment, my brain working at half speed to process the information but then I simply smiled eyes half closed, having experience with nightmares myself I could sympathise. I lifted my covers, inviting her into my bed, after all we were just going to sleep in the same bed, just sleep nothing else, and I had a pretty big bed because of my height so there was plenty if room. "Thanks." She said smiling as she climbed into bed and I draped the covers over her.
We both faced our backs to each other at first. But then as I turned into my back I felt something warm press up against me, I briefly opened one eye to see Trixie, fast asleep with a smile on her face, with an arm draped over me as she hugged me tightly. I slowly closed my eye again going back to sleep, 'it's fine.' I thought 'after all like she said, she was a little freaked out so this probably makes her feel safe... If it helps her sleep, who am I to refuse?' And as we lay there under the covers, without realizing, I wrapped and arm around Trixie, hugging her closer which made her smile widen a little.
The next morning I was gently awoken by a small beam of sunlight on my face peaking in through the gap in my curtains, I hadn't closed them properly but that hardly mattered now. Staring at the ceiling for a few moments, using my right arm to protect my eyes from the blinding sun glare, I slowly lowered my gaze to the girl snuggled up beside me under the covers, my arm still wrapped around her and her soft, freshly washed silver hair feeling like silk pressed up against my shoulder and neck.
A slight blush crept onto my face as I went wide eyed. 'When did that happen?' I asked trying to recall what exactly had happened last night, as the recollection of what had happened entered my mind I breathed a sigh of relief. I'd been extremely tired so at the time I hadn't remembered or paid much attention to anything going on. 'Wow' I thought once again taking notice of how smooth and silky her hair was, how soft her delicate skin felt as her arm rested gently on my chest, her hand just slipped under my shirt between the gap where a button had fallen off of my pyjama shirt. 'She's so... Gorgeous.' I smiled losing myself in thought for a moment. 'Ok good, now when she wakes up, maybe you can tell her that... Yeah, that's what I'll do. Today is the day, after practice I'm going to tell her.'
"Mmhhhhhh." My train do thought was brought to a grinding halt as I looked down at Trixie, a soft sigh form her alerting me that she was slowly beginning to wake up.
As she opened her eyes gave a yawn, still smiling. "Mhhh morning." She said tiredly.
I gave a soft chuckle. "Good morning to you." I replied. "Sleep well?" Trixie nodded still to tired to talk much.
"You know... Mhhh your bed's a lot more comfortable then the one in the guest room, warmer too." She said closing her eyes again as she laid her head on my chest listening to my heartbeat. 'THUMP' 'THUMP' 'THUMP'
The blush I had worn earlier returned at her words and my mind began to convers with my mouth again. 'Alright don't back down now, remember today is the day,the day we throw caution to the wind and tell her.' I took a deep breath. 'Yeah, right.. Play it cool, nevermind that there's a really pretty girl in your bed, resting her head on your chest and what is that around my leg?' It had taken me a few moments to realize but Trixie at somepony or another had also wrapped her legs around one of mine, I could feel the cotton boxers aswell as the soft supple skin of her thighs and ankles as she raised the leg ontop of me slightly, bringing her knee to rest ontop of my other leg. My blushing intensified but my smile didn't fade, right now I was tempted to just stay in bed and enjoying the feeling of her soft, warm body pressed against mine, but as I noticed the time my heart suddenly sank. "Oh crap!"
"Huh?" Trixie's eyes snapped open. "What is it?" She asked sitting up.
"Overslept, we've gotta get ready for school like, right now or we're gonna be late!" Trixie's eyes widened and she turned to the clock by my bed and we both bolted to it feet, Trixie ran into the bathroom and started to brush her teeth using my toothbrush, I probably should've told her but we were in a hurry and just once couldn't hurt.
As she did this I quickly gathered our clothes and set them on the bed, rushing into the bathroom and switching places with Trixie as she finished and went to go get dressed. Thankfully because of how quick we were, we were ready just in time... To meet my parents at the foot of the stairs.... Oh great.
"Good morning son." My father said calmly, taking a sip of his coffee. "Will your lovely young lady friend be joining us for breakfast?" My eyes widened and Trixie hid her face behind her hand, both of us blushing unable to look at my parents directly.
"Uuh no time we gotta go or we'll miss the bus!" I said quickly, hoping to avoid the subject, sadly though no such luck.
"Not a problem, they're inspecting the factory I work at for structural flaws today so the entire work force has the day off, I'll drop you off after breakfast." I chuckled nervously wearing a fake smile.
"That's, great dad... Just... Great."
A few minutes later we all sat around e dining room table, Trixie and I biting into a few slices of toast as my parents just smiled at us. "So how long have you two known my baby boy?" My mother asked, I instantly felt my forehead collide with the table as I gave a humiliated groan.
"Um we'll, a-actually we uh, we use to know each other when we were younger.. I actually didn't recognize him at first."
"Hm?" My mother thought for a moment. "Ooooh you must be Trixie right?"
"Yes ma'am, Trixie Lulamoon." Trixie bowed her head smiling. "Thank you for letting me stay here last night, I do appreciate it."
"Oh not a problem." My mother replied shaking her hand at Trixie.
"Although a word of warning next time wouldn't go unnoticed." My father added chuckling. "I hope you two weren't up to anything last night." I shot up into an upright position, both mine and Trixie's faces were bright red, our eyes gaping wide open.
"W-What the?! No! Dad we didn't! I mean we! And she! Sh-she just had a nightmare so I let her sleep in my bed! Ok?! Just sleep and nothing else!" I said panicking. Both my parents chuckled.
"Settle down, I was just joking." My father said with a smile. "Truth be told we checked in on you when we got home last night, we were surprised at first. But then we couldn't help but smile, the two of you looked so newest cuddled up together under the covers."
"Daaad!" I groaned through gritted teeth embarrassed, Trixie giggled still blushing a little.
"So are you two an item?" My dad asked earning a shove from my mother.
"Come on now respect the kids privacy." She said with a giggle.
"What? I'm only asking." Trixie and I looked at each other, then we both awkwardly looked away.
"Uuuh n-no. " Trixie finally said breaking the awkward moment of silence. "W-we're just... Just, friends." The words seemed to sadden her as she looked down at the table, my parents took notice of this.
"Hm, I see." My father stood up smiling. "Well come on you two, we better get you to school, don't want to be late."
"R-right." I said. "After all, we need to practice." Trixie nodded smiling at me as she stood up.
"Practice? Oh are you two doing a project together?" My mother asked.
"Yeah, I was thinking we might enter the school talent show next week." I looked over at Trixie. "You should hear her sing, she's amazing." Trixie blushed.
"Is that so?" My father asked with a grin. "Well maybe we'll come see you, see this amazing talent for ourselves."
"H-huh?!" Trixie blushed starting to feel nervous. "Uh... I... I." She stuttered, then I rested my hand on her shoulder trying to calm her down.
"Alright you two, come on or you'll be late." The two of us nodded, grabbing our bags and following my dad to the car, the drive was silent and awkward Trixie and I sitting in the back looking away from each other, my father looked at us in the rear view mirror and smiled. "Sigh young love." He muttered to himself and started the car, turning onto the road and driving towards Canterlot high.

We managed to pull up infront of the school with a couple minutes to spare, Trixie and I jumped out of the car and waved to my dad as he drove off. Trixie and I entered the school and walked side by side down the hallway towards home room. "So..." Trixie began both of us feeling somewhat awkward after that morning. "When were you going to tell me you planned to enter us in the talent show?" She asked.
I chuckled nervously rubbing the back of my neck. "Well you know heheh, I figured it might help. You know to perform infront of the school, build your confidence."
"THE WHOLE SCHOOL?! IN A WEEK?! ARE YOU INSANES?!" She yelled at the top of her lungs.
"W-we'll it seemed like a good idea at the time."
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! WHAT IF I MESS UP?! OR WORSE!" Trixie began to panic, a frightened look on her face. I began to feel and look worried as she became more and more worked up, then as I couldn't hold it in anymore I tried to calm her down a little.
"Woah woah! Trixie calm down!" I said worriedly, trying to be gentle with her as a good friend should.
"Calm down?! There are hundreds of students in this school and you expect me to get up on stage and sing infront of all of them in only a week?! I... I... I can't I just can't!" She said bringing her hands up to the sides of her head as she clamped her eyes shut and shook her head. "What if I get up on stage and pass out?! O-or they all just boo me off stage without even giving me a chance! Or! Or!" As she started to hyperventilate I grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her violently.
"Trixie! Calm down!" I yelled in her face and instantly Trixie fell silent staring at me looking like a frightened spchikd, great now I'd gone and upset her, I looked at my feet sighing, then raised my gaze back up to her. "T-Trixie I... I'm sorry, I just couldn't bare to see you worrying yourself like that." Trixie blinked a few times, never taking her eyes of of mine. "Look, you are the prettiest, most talented, most wonderful girl I know... And no matter what anyone thinks.. I... I will... Why is this so hard to say?!" I asked frustrated, Trixie raised an eyebrow looking slightly confused.
"W-what? What are you trying to say?" She asked.
"Just... Please... Don't get upset." I said and with that, still holding on tightly to Trixie's shoulders, I pulled her into a deep passionate kiss. She blushed eyes wide at first, but then as we progressed, her eyes slowly closed as she began to melt into the kiss, bringing her arms up and wrapping them around my neck. Trixie's leg slowly lifted up behind her as she leaned into the kiss, a feeling of pure bliss washing over the both of us as we embraced each other tightly.
We stood there for what felt like an eternity but as we pulled away form each other, panting heavily as we stared into each other's warm loving, and in Trixie's case, beautiful eyes. "Trixie... I love you." I finally said not thinking at all, I wasn't considering the consequences, I wasn't pondering how to say it, in the what of the moment.. I just let it slip.
Trixie smiled blushing. "I... I love you too." She admitted slightly nervous. I felt my heart skip a beat as I heard her say those words over and over in my head, then without thinking again, the two of us leaned in slowly for another kiss.
This one however was broken up prematurely at the sound of the school bell, class had already started and now we were both definitely late. "Oh crap, come on we better go." I said pulling her by her arm, Trixie did her best to keep up, the two of us smiling as halfway through running for our lives to class we realized we were both holding hands, we both gave a slight blush and smiled at each other. Neither of us said anything, nothing needed to be said and without another action or word we both ran as fast as we could to class, chuckling a little for no apparent reason, we both just felt really silly thinking about how long it had taken the two of us to finally admit to each other just how we felt. And how we'd both worried the other might not share the same feelings we had for each other.
As the two of us burst into the gymnasium, still holding hands and laughing a few of the students already there glanced over at us, a few of the staff members did also including principal Celestia and vice Principla Luna. "Sorry we're late." Trixie called over to them. "Can we still sign up for the talent show?" The students all began gossiping amongst each other in. Their small groups and even to other groups as Principal Celestia made her way over to us with her sister Luna at her side.
"Is there a reason the two of you are late?" Luna asked coldly.
"Yeah sorry about that." I said nervously rubbing the back of my neck stil holding Trixie's hand "We uh, heheh you see we uh.. Kinda slept in." Luna gave me a glare, Celestia however took one look a our hands, then at me, then Trixie and finally she smiled raising an eyebrow.
"I see." She said calmly. "Well in any case just try to be on time in the future." Luna looked to her sister confused. Celestia then held up her clipboard, bringing her ben to an empty box at the bottom of the list of participants for the talent show next week. "Now you two said you wished to participate in the talent show correct? What is it you would be doing exactly?"
"Well um, we're uh." Trixie began shyly, still quite nervous and a little concerned about her stage fright. "We're going to sing. "
"Ah, a duet then?" Celestia asked.
"We'll um, actually I'm providing the music, Trixie here's the star of the act. She's the one doing the singing." Celestia turned to. Trixie the same suspicious smile on her face.
"I see, well that's fine. And will you be performing your own piece or something we'll known?" She asked scribbling something down on. Her clipboard.
"Well um, I think the tune belongs to someone else. " Trixie answered. "But I'm putting my own lyrics to it."
"I see, we'll I look forward to seeing you two on stage next week, I hope you don't mind but since you signed up last you'll be performing at the end." The both of us nodded.
"Yes you'll be performing right after miss Adagio Dazzle." Luna added. Trixie and I both froze.
"Um sorry but, could you repeat that?" Trixie asked both of us unsure weather we'd heard Luna correctly.
"I said in the line up for the talent show you two will go last after a performance by Adagio Dazzle." The room was still for a moment, Trixie and I both stared wide eyed straight ahead, then all of our attention was diverted to the door as an all too familiar face stepped into the Gymnasium.
A rather tall girl wearing purple platform boots with gold spikes on them, topped off with a purple and lavender outfit and her fluffy orange hair tied back with a purple and gold spiked heparin and. "Hope you've brought your A game kiddies cuz I'm going to bring you to your knees." A confident and highly competitive Adagio Dazzle said as she stepped into the room swaying her hips as she walked and smirking confidently.
"Adagio is going to be performing a solo act." Celestia explained.
"Yes and after taking some classes and a lot of hard work I believe I can finally sing my way right to the top." Adagio added. Trixie and I exchanged worried looks then glared at adagio.
"Well then, now that everyone is here let's get the first rehearsal underway, we'll start with... Oh.. My." Celestia said with a tone of worry. "D-Ditzy Doo.. And her... Juggling pins." Luna's eyes widened remembering last year when Ditzy had attempted to do a firedance and nearly burned down the gymnasium, even setting her hair on fire. She quickly grabbed a crash helmet and strapped it onto her head, Celestia gave her sister a disapproving look and they both turned towards the stage as Ditzy stepped up on stage... Facing the wrong way, then another girl walked up on stage facing her the right way and quickly running offstage for fear she might get injured standing too close to her.
Trixie and I walked over to Adagio who was currently filing down her nails. "Alrigh Adagio what 's the big idea?" I asked remembering when she and the other two sirens had attempted to take over the school during the battle of the bands. "And where are your lacking Aria and. Sonata?"
"Oh I ditched those two a while ago." Adagio said not even looking up form her nails, a flat, bored tone in her voice. "I'm a solo act now, and what I'm doing little boy? Is taking my rightful place as queen of Canterlot high." She chuckled wickedly.
"And just how do you plan to do that when you sing like fingernails on a chalk board?" Trixie asked referring to the Dazzling's aweful singing after Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Soarkle and all their friends destroyed their amulets with the powers of music, friendship and badass rainbow lasers.
"Oh, you mean like this?" Adagio clear her throat and opened her mouth, letting out a beautiful melodious note leaving both of us speechless.
Celestia turned to us. "Quiet please." As she said this one of Ditzy's bowling puns she was juggling hit Celestia in the back of the head and she turned to glare at Ditzy who just smiled nervously, holding her arms up in a sort of 'whoops.' Pose.
"I just don't know what went wrong." She said rubbing the back of her head nervously, Celestia gave a long sigh and Luna snickered thankful she wasn't the one who had been struck by the cross eyed girl's clumsiness.
"H-how did?!" Trixie asked shocked and very, VERY worried.
"Well that's my little secret now isn't it?" Adagio said then noticing. Trixie's worried expression she began to taunt Trixie, old habits making it hard for her to resist picking on the silver haired girl. "Aaaw what's the matter Trixie?" She asked mockingly. "Oh I know, you're worried I'm going to outshine you on stage and when you step up to perform, everyone in the audience will just boo you off without even giving you a chance, can't say I blame them though. You have quite the reputation miss 'Great' and 'Powerful' Trixie." Adagio snickered. Trixie hugged herself tears starting to well up in her eyes. "Aaaw is the little baby gonna cry? You gonna cry now?" She taunted mercilessly rubbing her eyes pretending to cry, my hands balled up into fists as I fought back the urge to punch her in the teeth. "Hahaha, you're pathetic." Adagio continued. "Just face it your fifteen minutes of fame came and went, you should just go on home to your wagon and cry to mommy." Trixie gave a look that made my heart stop, there was a moment of silence before Trixie burst into tears, running out of the gymnasium.
As the door closed, I found myself staring for just a moment before closing my eyes, when I opened them again my face had scrunched up into a furious grimace. Slowly I turned towards Adagio who was laughing triumphantly, it made my blood boil. "You... Little.... BITCH!" I cried out, everyone turning to face me as I grabbed Adagio's jacket, pinning her to the wall and completely lost it. "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT SHE'S BEEN THROUGH?! THE CHALLENGES SHE'S FACED! THE HEARTBREAK SHE'S SUFFERED!" Luna and Celestia stood up, walking over to me to try and pull me off of Adagio, Adagio stared at me wide eyed as I continued to scream at her. "YOU ARE A HEARTLESS! VILE! LOWLIFE PIECE OF SCUM! NOW I WANT YOU TO GET ONE THING THROUGH THAT THICK SKULL! AND EVEN THICKER MESS OF TRASHY OVERSTARCHED HAIR OF YOURS! YOU ARE NEVER! I REPEAT 'NEVER!' TO DO THAT TO HER AGAIN BECAUSE IF YOU DO I CAN PROMISE YOU THERE IS NO PLACE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HIDE FROM ME! I WILL FIND YOU AND WILL PULL EVERY LOCK OF HAIR FROM YOUR ARROGANT, OVERSIZED HEAD AND FORCE THEM DOWN YOUR THROAT!"
As Principal Celestia and vice principal Luna pulled me off of Adagio, allowing her to fall to the floor I turned to the door and ran out after Trixie. Adagio slowly got up glaring at where I had ran out, gasping for breath, I'd placed of my hands around her throat and without even realizing tried to strangle her. "Mark my words!" She said quietly to herself. "You'll pay for that!" As Celestia knelt down to help adagio up she burst into crockadile tears and began making up some story of how I'd violently attacked her without warning or reason.

I know it may not seem very ling, infact the chapters are quite short but I was trying to avoid making the chapters too long so people wouldn't get bored halfway through
Getting back up
I ran through the hallways frantically, desperately trying to find where Trixie had run off to. "Trixie?! Trixie!" I called out. "Trixie where are you?!" My heart raced as I felt myself on the verge if a panic attack, right now I was conflicted between my concern and worry for. Trixie and my deep burning hatred of Adagio, the memory of Trixie crying as Adagio teased her mercilessly.
I turned a corner and ran into the main foyer of the front of the school, breathing heavily as I ran frantically all over looking for her. "Trixie!" I called out again. I searched for a good two hours, as I ran out of breath, eyes watering as I fought back my own tears, I leaned against the water fountain.
I looked down at my hand, seeing the silver ring Trixie had given me the other day, I clutched my hand around the other hand, clutching the rights tightly as I slowly slid down to sit on the floor. "Trixie.. Where are you ?" I whispered to the ring hoping it somehow might answer me. Then when it seemed like I'd never find her I suddenly heard something, a gentle sobbing noise comming from the girls bathroom around the corner.
Slowly I got up and walked towards the door, I pressed my ear to it listening closely. No denying it, it was her.... I knocked on the door gently. "Trixie?" Inside Trixie was crying over the sink, as she heard me knock she turned to the door still crying.
"G-go away!" She cried crying her eyes out. "J-just leave me alone!... Please." She sank into a sitting position feeling trapped and frightened.
"Trixie.. Trixie please come out." I pleaded, my voice shaky as I tried to stay calm, happy to have found her, but almost as utterly depressed as I heard her crying. "Trixie... Please.. "
Trixie dried her eyes looking up to the door. "'Sniff' sh-she's right... I'm nothing! A worthless arrogant failure! I just can't do it! I can't!" My heart felt like an anvil I. My chest, a single tear rolling down my cheek, I pressed my forehead to the door.
"Trixie.... Please just come out... Please.. I just need to know you're ok." Trixie wiped her tears away as she heard this. When i didn't hear her reply, I broke down and started crying myself. "Please... I just need to know you're ok." Now sure she hadn't misheard me, Trixie slowly and quietly began to walk towards the door listening to me. "W... When she made you cry like that... I.. I don't know what happened I.. I lost it."
Trixie gave a concerned look now pressed up against the door listening intently. "She just made me so mad... Please, just... Just come out and I, I promise I will never let her, or anyone hurt you again." As she heard this, Trixie let a small gasp escape her feeling touched, no one had ever shown such concern or care for her before... Then again.. She knew now, I loved her and she loved me.
She slowly opened the door, dry tears on her face aswell as a small smile. "'Sniff' y-you're really sweet, you know that?" She said wiping her eyes on her sleeve. "I ran out of there crying my eyes out, I felt worthless... 'Sniff' then you.. Came after me, just to see If I was ok."
"Ofcourse I did." I said hugging her close to me, looking her inn the eyes. "Why wouldn't I? I love you."
"I know. 'Sniff'... I love you too." We gazed love ingle into each other's eyes for a moment, then I gently pulled her into a kiss, it was short and not as passionate as the one we had shared earlier.. But when she slowly pulled away and our eyes met. That feeling of Dredd, of agonising heart ache and hopelessness... All of it just, melted away.
"Mark my words, we are going to beat Adagio, win that talent show and show everyone, just how wonderful you are." I said tilting her chin up to look at me. Trixie smiled.
"Well then, we better get to practicing, we still have a bit of work to do." I said, glad to see her mood improved. Then I pulled her in closer.
"But, we don't have to practice right away." I said raising an eyebrow and smiling at her. "The talent show isn't for a week after all."
Trixie wrapped her arms around me, closing her eyes and resting her head on my shoulder, smiling. "Mhhh, you're right... We don't have to get to practicing right away." She said with a blissful sigh as I held her in my arms. "Let's just enjoy this moment... With just you.. And me." Trixie sighed again and as I held her in my arms, feeling the warmth of her body as it pressed against mine.
I couldn't have been happier.
The following day and for the next couple of days, Trixie and I met up in the music room for practice. After some begging for principal Celestia to still let us participate after my little outburst, every time we practiced I made sure to wear the ring. Trixie had given too me, in truth I could barely remember a time I took it off after that.
Now it wasn't all practice mind you, after all as the old saying goes 'all work and no play makes jack a dull boy.' Every day after school I would walk Trixie home, once or twice she would stay over and just last night I'd taken her to see a movie. The movie wasn't what we'd expected, in truth it was a flop but when we left halfway through it had already gotten dark, so we just sat together on a bench in the parking lot, my jacket draped over her to keep her warm as we gazed up at the night sky.
It was two days before the talent show and we had just finished practice, Trixie had sounded amazing, more then once I had almost fallen out of key mesmerised by her heavenly voice. I noticed her smile down at me from where she was sitting ontop of the piano as she saw I was still wearing the ring she had given me, she had made me so happy and now after saving up every penny I earned, found and managed to negotiate out of my parents to get her what I thought would be the perfect gift to give her, to thank her for everything she had done for me.
"Hey Trixie, I was wondering. We've been together for a few days now.. And the big talent show is comming up after tomorrow, could you meet me infront of the statue an hour after school ends?"
"Hm?" Trixie looked at for a moment then shaking she head with a smile, closing her eyes for a moment she giggled. "Sure, I just need to get something from my locker alright?"
"Great." I said standing up. "Well then I'll see you later then?"
"I'll be counting every second." She said before the two of us gazed into each other's eyes exchanging a quick kiss goodbye before heading out of the music room and going our seperate ways to our different classes, this was both a blessing and a curse as I could slip out to buy the gift I wanted to surprise her with unseen, but meant I'd be pulled away for her for te rest of the afternoon until schools was over.
As the finale bell sounded I hurried from my seat, gathering up my books and stuffing them into my bag as I ran out of the classroom, hogging down the hall as I double checked my wallet to make sure I did ep indeed have enough for what I'd been eying, thankfully I had. I ran down the street to a jewellers on the corner, the sign above the beautifully decorated red door read, Clearcut creations. Inside a woman dressed in something that looked like it was from one of Rarity's line of designer outfits she'd been making for art class stood behind the counter. "Hi um I'm here to pick up an order?" I said smiling placing the money on the counter and showing her a ticket with a number on it.
The woman took the ticket and scanned the barcode printed on the back. "Ah here we go, hmm interesting, a gift for a special someone perhaps ?" She asked giving me a warm smile, I blushed slightly looking away.
"We'll.. I guess you could say that." The woman simply chuckled.
"Alright dear you just wait here and I'll go get it from the back, tell you what I'll even gift wrap it for you, no charge." She winked at me as she took the money and inserted it into the register, handing me some small change.
"Oh thank you very much." I said gratefully as I watched her walk through a door into the back room. A few moments later she returned with a pen and small blue box with a silver ribbon, a tag in the shape of a star attached to the bow ontop. "Oh wow, this is perfect." I said which earned a smile form the woman at the register.
"Not a problem, now hurry up and sign write a little message on the tag. I'm sure you're eager to see her again and give it to her." I nodded writing a short message on the tag, handing her the pen back I carefully placed the box in my pocket,leaving a hand over it to make sure it wouldn't go anywhere.
"Thankfullyyou again. " I said as I turned to leave.
"Don't, mention it now hurry, and good luck." She called after me waving through the window as I waved back running down the street the way I'd came to get back to the school as quickly as possible. As I reached the statue i took the box from my pocket smiling down at it, I couldn'the wait to seethe look on her face.
