My Little Pony belongs to Hasbro. A long time ago, in the kingdom known as Equestria... There once lived two royal sisters who would bring harmony through the land. The eldest would raise the sun at dawn to make way for the day while the youngest would raise the moon at night.  Unfortunately, the harmony didn't last forever despite the fact that evil was always beaten by good in this kingdom.  Years after the returns of Nightmare Moon, Discord, and King Sombra, Equestria was attacked by an old foe.  Harmony existed, but it no longer does. When he arrived, it was destroyed by his hatred. You see, reader, after the defeat of King Sombra, only his horn was left behind.  As time passed, the horn used dark magic to change itself into King Sombra himself,  reviving the dark hearted unicorn.   He had came out of nowhere that day and overthrew the princesses and the rulers of the Crystal Empire. Equestria was thrown into fear and despair over the loss of their rulers: who was going to raise the sun and moon then without them? The sky was left with a mix of day and night since then, causing confusion and panic.  Now, the harmony that once flourished in the land was gone, replaced with fear. Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends tried to stop him, but it wasn't any use.  He managed to defeat them and got rid of the bodies before anypony could notice.  The defeat of the six rulers of the Friendship Rainbow Kingdom was what really got the ponies angry. The kingdom of Equestria had ended up living in fear for their new king and many had left Equestria to start a new life somewhere else.  The three main pony types were still alive, but all of the alicorns were dead. Other ponies had went to hiding in abandoned dragon caves, the Artic North, or in the Everfree Forest, waiting for the day where a group of heroes would fight the king and reclaim Equestria.  The ponies that stayed in Equestria wanted heroes who would stand up for Equestria and stomp their hooves onto the ground as if to say 'enough! as well as treat the poor citizens with kindness and save them from Sombra's tyrannical rule.  Nowadays, going to Canterlot was considered suicide since if you were to rebel there, Sombra's guards would capture you and kill you during a public execution done by the king himself.  Sombra had brutal methods of killing ponies which made the ponies fear him even more. He had made them so afraid that they had to do what he wanted, but they didn't want to live that way anymore: it wasn't right. They felt useless and wanted their heroes to come save them already or have Sombra get overthrown, but they knew that the latter was almost impossible due to the fact that Sombra would just kill those who oppose him anyway. This is the story of how six unlikely heroes banded together to save the kingdom from a unicorn whose heart is as black as night. Who are these heroes you may ask? Well, dear reader, you'll have to find out in this tale...but be warned, it's not for the faint hearted. Read through the future chapters of these characters to discover who they are and what their purpose is in this post apocalyptic story. Before you begin this story, there is only a few things you must learn about our heroes before we begin: one is the daughter of Shining Armor and Princess Cadance who isn't supposed to exist, Princess Celestia's former student, a former Royal Guard, an explorer, a redeemed prince, and a model. This is their story: it is a tale of war, ruin, friendship, and bravery. This is the story on how they rose from the ashes to save the kingdom they loved from a tyrant who didn’t care at all for it, how they became symbols of this rebellion to bring back Equestria from it’s dark age. They have all lost their friends or loved ones in the past, so it was time to avenge them by bringing down the king. But what has fate have in store for them? Where would the future lie for these six ponies? The amount of how much time has passed is vague, but things will be clearer as the story continues. Ponies have grown up and aged with time, the kingdom has been torn apart by war and Sombra’s rule, the Royal Guards have been controlled, The Wonderbolts have become corrupted and made into Equestria’s air force as Sombra’s eyes in the sky, and the evil forces of Sombra grow stronger and stronger by the day.  He even managed to get an assistant dubbed only as Shadow Starlight. It truly was a dark time for the kingdom, nothing like what the Fausticorn had planned for her creation of Equestria. In fact, it went completely against everything Fausticorn stood for.  The Dark Age was sometimes dubbed the Sombra Rule or The Darkest Nights by some ponies. The darkness clouded the minds of some of the ponies which made them side with the king like those controlled guards. It truly was a bad future. Some ponies formed small rebellions which were either useless or unsuccessful. The occasional Changeling attack happened here and there, thanks to a mysterious pony known as The Assimilator. The efforts to stop Sombra and his were useless, if only there were heroes that would rise from the ashes and get rid of all this.  Harmony was now an unspeakable topic since the mention of it will lead to execution.  Fear was the only thing that existed in a dark time in this kingdom. Everypony felt useless with Sombra’s rule, it was nothing, but violence and fear were the only things that remained. No hope, no harmony, no happiness, there was…nothing. The ponies felt empty, soulless. It was no time for happiness or parties. All that was left was to wait for the heroes…
