Chapter 8: Apploosa Affairs

Sharpshooter couldn't believe what he was hearing behind the door. He would have never guessed this sweet of a pony, who was a mother, to be a working girl. Sharpshooter wanted to swing open the door and stop the conversation dead in its tracks. However, it seemed like it was about to end.

"Enough Jazz, I've had enough. I need to be with my son."

Sharpshooter let out a soft "whew" as he heard footsteps approach the door. That didn't last for long though. Jazz had gotten so irritated he grabbed Colony around the neck and covered her mouth to silence her screams. Sharpshooter only heard the muffled screams get quieter and quieter. Sharpshooter cussed under his breathe and ran over to the table.

"Wha...what's wrong?" Dutton asked with worry.

Sharpshooter threw on his helmet and galloped to the door, but to be stopped by Dutton.

"Nine please, where's my mom?" he asked with sorrow.

Sharpshooter turned around to see Dutton had tears in his eyes. He felt his heart break as he had to tell this little boy that his mother was just kidnapped and possibly going to be treated as a sex slave. Well...he wasn't going to tell him THAT much. Sharpshooter was running out of time, he loaded his magnum and faced Dutton.

"In trouble."

Sharpshooter threw open the door and galloped away into the darkness town. Sharpshooter was following Jazz's footsteps as he ran as fast as he could. As he ran, Sharpshooter ran past the gun booth. He stared at the booth for awhile. Sharpshooter picked up the sawed-off shotgun he saw. He noticed the gun was especially designed for earth ponies! The grip had a built in trigger system which, when pulling the grip, the shotgun would fire. Sharpshooter laughed and continued his quest. He followed the trail to a even more shady looking cabin. The windows were covered in some sort of green muck. The door had bullet holes everywhere on it. The wood was even darker shade than the others.

"Get off me you bastard!" Colony said.

Sharpshooter leaned into the door to hear more.

"Nah, you know how much I pay you every weekend for this? I'm not gonna waste it!" This was disturbing to hear.

Sharpshooter felt sweat drop down his face.

"Please Jazz, please, don't do this!" Colony pleaded.

Sharpshooter had enough. He backed up from the door. He charged the door with all his might as he tried to bring it down. The door came off its hinges like paper.

"Who the fuck are you!?" Jazz said.

Sharpshooter got up from the door and was embarrassed about what he was looking at. Colony was chained to the bed with shackles around each of her limbs. Jazz got up from the bed and pulled a pistol from the drawer.

"I don't know how you NCR found out where I lived, but I wont go back alive!" Jazz pointed the pistol at Sharpshooter.

Sharpshooter was now even more confused.

"Whoa wait, I'm not with the NCR." he said.

Jazz gave Sharpshooter a surprised look.

"Wait, really?" he said.

"Yeah, I'm just wearing this because I liked it." Sharpshooter commented.

"Cool bro." Jazz said.

"Um, boys."

Both Jazz and Sharpshooter turned around to Colony, who was still shackled to the bed. Sharpshooter felt his face grow red again.

"This is sweet and all, but I would really appreciate it if I could leave and see my son please." she said.

"Nah doll, I want my pay's worth." Jazz said before turning his attention back to Colony.

"Now then...where were-" Jazz was cut off by his head exploding across the walls.

Colony closed her eyes to shield her from the blood shower. She looked back to see a decapitated Jazz and a blood soaked Sharpshooter with a smoking double barrel.

"What the fuck!?" she said with shock.

Sharpshooter wiped the blood from his visor. He looked himself over and saw his blood soaked coat.

"Wow...he was full of juice." Sharpshooter said with a laugh.

Sharpshooter unshackled Colony and the two walked out of the shack. The gun shot hadn't woken the town. This was good. Sharpshooter and Colony began their walk back to her cabin. On the way, the two got into a rather odd conversation.

"Why are you working like this?" Sharpshooter asked.

Colony looked at Sharpshooter before she knew what he was asking.

"Times were tough when Dutton's father died. I had to make a decision." she answered.

"But...there must be a different job then prostitution?" he said.

"I don't have a choice, I've asked every shop in town, nobody wants me." She said with a sad tone.

Sharpshooter felt sorry for Colony. Even though he had only met her today. He wanted to help her.

"What if...what if I went with you to one of the shops tomorrow? Since I'm dressed as a member of the NCR, they might cut you a break if they found out if-" Sharpshooter's face went even redder inside his helmet.

Colony looked at him with innocent and joyful eyes.

"-if your...um...brother! Ya brother! Was in the army." Sharpshooter let out a long sign.

-That was close one!- he thought.

The two arrived at Colony's shack. Without a moment to soon, Dutton burst through the door and wrapped both Sharpshooter and Colony in a mega bear hug. With tears in his eyes, Dutton hugged them with all his might. Colony broke the grip and hugged her son back. Sharpshooter let out a breathe.

"I was so worried about you guys!" he said while buried in his mothers chest.

  Dutton looked back at Sharpshooter.

"Thank you Sharpshooter, thank you." Sharpshooter smirked.

"Your welcome Dutton, and please, call me Nine."
