The gang visits Canterlot for another gala and Twilight and Midnight have been called to Canterlot for an official meeting with Princess Celestia over possible war. After Midnight meets his parents again, relives the childhood he never had, Twilight finds herself a love interest, he finds no reason to help with military efforts; not until a leader of Griffin military brings Midnight's father's life to an end. Midnight enlists into the military, makes new friends, goes to war and seeks out his vengeance on the griffin who killed his father.
