A yellow sleeping mare grumble, slowly waking from her sleep, she awoke hearing a repeated phrase over and over. As time went by her hearing became clearer, now able to pick the restated phrase, “Why”. Fluttershy was confused why would someone repeatedly say “Why” until she pick up the recognizable cocky voice belonging to Rainbow Dash, but what was unusual about the scratchy voice was, it didn’t held no confident or proud voice, but sadness and quilt.

‘What? My Dashie is never sad.’ Fluttershy frantically thought. The pinkette force her eyes to open and was shocked to see Rainbow Dash hugging her with her hoof around her neck, a wing around her back, and sobbing loudly in her chest still saying, “Why”.

“Rainbow Dash?!” What wrong!” She yelled, concern about her usually cocky friend.

“Why?” The distressing mare ask again now looking at her friend teal eyes, she look deep in the teal orbs as if it contain the answer she desperately seek.

Fluttershy was confused by Rainbow repeated word, “What do yo mean by why?”

“W-Why are you… s-still my friend?” The chromatic mare was also confused by her friend. She wanted to grimly know why Fluttershy was still her friend, even how a bitch she acted to her in the past. She broke their filly hood promise twice, yelled at her twice, flew away from her with Gilda without speaking to her for five years,and when they some how became friend again she was still disloyal to her.

“I… I was so m-mean to you,” Rainbow spoke as quietly as Fluttershy, “Even when you forgave me for flying away, I was still disloyal to you. I didn’t believe you could stop the dragon and then I almost trade you for a fucking Daring book! What wrong with me?! And you're still my friend why Fluttershy, why?! Rainbow hugged her best friend and secret crush harder, burying her face deep into the soft yellow fur, Fluttershy didn’t try to pull away.

“Rainbow,” Fluttershy spoke to her friend ike a caring mother. “Nothing wrong with you. And all our trouble past, I don't care about those, I only care about our good ones. You defended me from the bullies, help me get my cutie mark, supported me, I could fly just as well as any other pegasus, but when we got to our Freshmen year I didn’t understand what happen between us.” She pulled away to see Rainbow bloodshot eyes. “After your… first l-little outburst you just left and I cried all the way to my home. I-I had to force myself… to s-stop crying till morning for school.” She began to feel tears running down her cheeks.

Rainbow wanted to pull her emotionally hurt friend for another tight hug, but Fluttershy still pushed away to look at her eyes. “When you came back the next day to become friend again, I needed to think for a day if we should become friend and I did, but the next day you just ignored me and for the next three years. When we spoke again, you yelled at me again and flew away missing for another for five years.” For those five years Fluttershy was miserable, for she had lost her best friend, loyal, trustworthy, and secret lover.

And now she was just frustrated not knowing why.

“Why Rainbow? For seven years and still to now, you still act differently around me, why!” She had enough, she was at her peak, her patience is nearly gone, she needed to know the problem to try and fix it, to have a chance to have the cyan mare heart.

“I… I-I...I… “ Rainbow didn’t know how to response, should she tell the truth. Should she?!

“Why?” Fluttershy repeated.

“I, I, I… ” Rainbow kept repeating, she so nervous, anxious, and frighten of denial if she reveal her feeling for the pony she deeply in love with.

Fluttershy patience was now entirely gone, she wants answer now and now. She place both her foreleg on Rainbow shoulder, pulled her close almost snout to snout, and scream, “RAINBOW DASH WHY?!!!” She yelled louder than ever before, more louder than her cheer than her cheer when Rainbow did the sonic rainboom.

“BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!!!” Rainbow yelled just as loudly as Fluttershy.

The pair of pegasus stood there in silence, no noise can be heard, not even the pair of pegasi breathing could be heard. They stand with wide eyes, mouth fully open, blushing scarlet red, and with an expression with only shock. The air around them was not only filled with awkwardness, it also contains anxiousness, fear, and happiness mixed together confusing the yellow and blue ponies.

Fluttershy mind was not empty, if it was possible it contain energy just like Pinkie Pie yelling, ‘She loves me! She loves me! She loves me!’ happily saying over and over. Her secret lover just told her, she love her but was too shock to return the same feeling.

Rainbow could not believe she had just blurted out her long time secret. ‘What have I done?!’ She was terrified, she had just ruined their friendship again that could never be fix again. She wanted to say she mean it in a platonic way, but breathing was becoming a laboring task.

The extremely happy pegasus calmed herself enough to be able to speak to her friend, “Rainbow please go to you cloud home and I’ll meet you there.” Fluttershy trotted and grabbed Applejack basket to take off to sweet Apple Acres, but was stopped by Rainbow Dash.

“Wait! Flu… Fluttershy I didn't-” Rainbow began to sob afraid Fluttershy would forever fly away from her, but was stopped by Fluttershy.

“Rainbow Dash please go home,” The shy mare said in a calm and stern voice. “I will meet you there.” She flew toward the farm pony home, leaving a confused and terrified pegasus.

The yellow mare flew gracefully toward applejack home with only one pony in mind, Rainbow Dash. It has been years she contain feeling toward the chromatic mare and she was sad to leave her friend. But she needed to think what to do next. For sure she going to tell her love toward the mare, it just what does she do after?

As she flew she remembered when Rainbow yelled at her for no apparent reason, she believed she lost all hope the cyan pegasus will ever be her lover, but when Rainbow began begging to become friend, she didn’t know what to think.

Rainbow had yelled at her, called her thing she never expected her best friend will call her, but she did. Fluttershy needed to think if she still lover her best friend and she still did. However for the next two years she was ignored by the cyan filly. She had enough of being ignored so she ran to Rainbow to speak to her but was stopped by Gilda not allowing her to finish her sentence and leaving her behind again.

However, Fluttershy didn’t quit there, she was going to talk to Rainbow to figure out what wrong between them. But she was crush when she arrived at Rainbow home. The creme filly saw her secret lover finish having sex with Gilda, shattering her heart. Her heart was glued together only for Rainbow to shattered it again in more tinier pieces by the cyan filly repeatedly yelling at her and leaving her for the next five years.

When they saw each other after the years, they didn’t become friend. It wasn’t until Rainbow retold her story of how she got her cutie mark to the Cutie Mark Crusaders. In the same day at midnight, she heard knocking on her door and was daze to find Rainbow lying on the floor crying for forgiveness to become friend like they used to.

The whole night Rainbow explained why she been ignoring her, but Fluttershy knew she let a whole chunk of reason left out. She let it slide and hope maybe she learn the other reason another day. And that day is today, she had just learned one big reason why, Rainbow loving her explained so many things.

Now that Rainbow said she loved her back, all those days and nights of fantasizing and dreaming of deep intimacy came rushing back to the timid mare mind, making the pegasus forget about her surrounding. Leading her to crash through Applejack front door, startling the Apple family in the living room.

“Fluttershy?!” Applejack yelled in concern. “What in tarnation happen to yea?

“Nothing!” Fluttershy yelled back timidly after standing up on all four legs, pushing her hind leg together trying to hide her wet marehood. “Here your basket and sorry about your door,” Already outside of Apple jack door. “I’ll pay for your door. Bie!” The now red blushing pegasus flew off toward Rainbow Dash cloud home.

As the yellow mare flew, her mind was filled with lust, desire, and love, she has waited so long to hear Rainbow say those three magical words. Now she can’t wait to feel Rainbow lips against hers. With the idea in mind, Fluttershy flew faster thinking about tasting the rainbow.
