Twilight Sparkle has seen and done many things in her young life. She has numerous friends that she can trust. One of them is Pinkie Pie. She also knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that curses are just old pony tales meant to scare young foals.

Both of these beliefs will be put to the task when Twilight receives a bizarre letter written in red from her friend Pinkie Pie. A friend she hasn't seen in a week.

Can Twilight Sparkle maintain her friendship, her sanity and perhaps her very soul in the face of a curse that claims any who have the misfortune of baring the passed note?
