Ch 3. The Ninja and The Tuning Fox

Previous Chapter

18 hours earlier….

A Gleas woke up and was staring at the sky. She didn’t want to move, and just lay there staring at the beautiful sky above. But she realized she shouldn't do that, she knew that she had not gone to sleep outside nor on a roof top for that matter. She got to her feet, before her was a massive militaristic looking city with walls going around it. She heard a commotion just over the edge of the building she was on.

She peeked over the edge, she saw a small arena with strange ponyta surrounding it. Inside of the arena she saw two of the winged ponyta engaging each other in close combat, each one wrestling for dominance over the other.

She only studied it for a moment, before looking down into the alley. Gleas noticed some ropes in the alley bellow, with grace and ease the greninja jumped down scooped up the rope and fastened it over her shoulder. She looked down the alley and ran with stealthy precision away from the arena.

“Have you heard the reports?” Gleas stopped and hid behind a barrel. She peeked over and saw two ponyta wearing dull grey armor, standing around the corner having a conversation.

“You mean the ones about the creatures popping up everywhere yeah.” The two were obviously mares one had wings and the other one was closer to a simple ponyta. Gleas hid herself further in the shadows and listened in. They were clearly describing Pokémon and by the sound of it Gleas figured that were ever she was Pokémon at the very least were rare to the area.

Another winged ponyta soon walked up to the two. Their response was immediate both their bodies went rigid and they each raised their right fore hoof across their chest. “G’morning SIR!!!” they said in unison.

The other ponyta returned the motion before saying “Mornin’ girls, what are you still doing in uniform?”

The mares gave him a confused look “We just got back for morning patrol sir.” The regularish ponyta replied.

“Oh how thoughtless of me, all recruits are released for the day due to the confusion. So you girls have a nice day you hear."

Both mares grinned wildly “YES SIR” they said before excitedly taking off down the street. Gleas saw this as an opportunity, to gather more information and followed the two mares in secret.

She followed the two until they reached their living quarters which was one of many small shacks all lined in a row. Once the wingless ponyta opened the door Gleas used shadow sneak, quickly knocking out the two mares and dragged them inside.

Present time

Aurora looked down at the pangoro next to her and felt the urge to ask. “Pardon my forwardness Jack but I couldn’t help but ask?”

Jack raised an eyebrow “Well don’t be shy I won’t bite.”

Aurora smiled “Well it’s just I can see how ‘eccentric’ you are and was wondering if your Pokémon shared your tendencies?”

The pangoro visibly shuddered as he clearly remembered something terrible he was not willing to share but he answered “Well I’m not one hundred percent sure if eccentric is the right word but…” he paused for a moment “I decided a long time ago that I would encourage my pokemon to be there own 'mon' so to speak and lets just say when you allow people or pokemon in this case, to develop themselves they can take interest in things you wouldn't expect.”

Aurora thought it better to not continue.

Desert Rose woke up to the strangest sight she could ever imagine, both her and Winter Dance were bound and gagged hanging from the ceiling. Even Winter’s wings were bound open. She had a look of horror and sympathy on her face as she stared at Rose.

Rose tried to struggle to get free but halted soon when she realized her struggles only made her bindings tighter. Rose froze when she suddenly heard the sound of somepony rasping for air. Looking up she saw it was Winter, she was struggling again causing her own bindings to tighten. Rose studied Winter’s face, she had a deep pinkish tint across her pale blue muzzle, and her dark green and red mane had fallen over one of her violet eyes. Rose’s observations were interrupted when she noticed the creature out the corner of her eye.

Both mare’s turned to Gleas who was watching the scene with growing enthusiasm. Though it didn't show on her face. “Gren Gren nin nin ninja Gren.” The mares looked at each other Winter gave the best shrug she could. From her bindings. Gleas realizing that neither mare could understand her, sighed. She walked over to the desk and started rummaging through it looking for some thing.

Rose was panicky and was trying to protest. Winter was watching with curiosity. Gleas pulled out a piece of paper and quill. She proceeded to write on the paper. When she was done she showed the note to the mares. ‘Nod once if you can read this’ it said.

Both mares again looked at each other then back to Gleas. They both nodded. Gleas turned and wrote again. ‘I am going to take of the gag if you are not quiet you will be gagged again.’ Gleas walked forward and started to remove the gag from Rose. Once the gag was off however

“WHO THE BU-“Rose’s tirade was short lived as Gleas gagged her again.

Gleas scribbled on the paper again and showed it to Winter ‘Any further out bursts will result in punishment ' Winter was disturbed by the smiley face and the underlined ‘punishment’. She looked at up at Rose who had an angry scowl. She turned to Gleas and nodded. Gleas then proceeded to remove the rope from her mouth.

“Wha…what are you? And what do you want?” she asked almost afraid she’d receive the ‘punishment’ just for asking. Gleas turned and scribbled on more paper.

‘I am a Greninja my name is Gleas pleasure to meet you. What I want is information.’

“But we’re just recruits there can’t be any info of use that we can give you.” Winter answered but when she attempted to move her hooves the ropes once again tightened around her chest and flank causing her to release an involuntary moan. Rose stared at Winter in disbelief, who turned her head in a vain attempt to hide her now completely cherry face.

The sound of scribbling caused the two to once again focus on the greninja who was holding the paper so both could see the big bold letters of ‘COMRADE’ Winter in return held her head in shame. Only to look up again by the sound of more scribbling. ‘Moving on, I want to know where we are.’

Winter stared again “you’re kidding me, you don’t know!” Gleas scribbled again.

‘You said recruits earlier and I watched you perform a salute so I’m guessing I’m in some form of military base. But beyond what I can infer that is all educated guessing.’ Rose began shaking her head violently trying to get Gleas’s attention. Gleas scribbled on the paper and showed to rose ‘You want to talk? If you promise no screaming I will take off the gag. Nod once if you agree.’ Rose nodded and Gleas once again removed the rope from her mouth.

“Oh Celestia that’s better” Rose said stretching her jaw. “ok so let me get this straight you don’t know where you are?” Gleas nodded “and rather than ask someone where you are, you spy and tie two ponies up dominatrix style and interrogate them?” Gleas thought for a moment before scribbling again.

‘Seemed like a good idea at the time. And I couldn’t tell if you were hostile or not. Besides your friend is enjoying it.’ Rose turned head to face Winter. She was drooling and had a longing look in her eye. She snapped out of it when she realized she was being stared at.

“What?” Rose would have facehooved if she could.

“Seriously I didn’t peg you as the S&M type.” Winter smiled sheepishly. Rose shook her head vigorously “Anyway. To answer your question we are in Fort Hoof one of the guard training posts East of Canterlot. Now I’m guessing you’re one of those weird creatures that have been popping up all over the place correct?” Gleas scribbled again.

‘Not sure, last thing I remember was taking a nap and woke up here. I have seen few other Pokémon aside from you ponyta and not a single human.’

“Ok I don’t know what either of those are and its spelt p-o-n-y minus the t-a!“ Rose was struggling to cope with the current situation. Here she was talking to creature via notes while strung from the ceiling and her roommate apparently getting off on it.

Anything else that could be discussed ended when the ground shook. The two ponies swayed and their bindings suddenly grew very tight. Rose screamed in pain. Winter had very different reaction, as she enjoyed it very much and it was plain to see.

Once the tremor ceased they stared at each other for a good ten minutes “What…in Tartarus… was that.” Rose said recovering from the tremor. Gleas heard the commotion outside the cabin. Gleas moved faster than either pony could see. She threw her water shuriken cutting the ropes and quickly hiding the remains before making herself scarce. Both Rose and Winter promptly fell to the floor.

Rose shook her head from the confusion. Then a knock came at the door. “Just a minute.” She got up and ran to the door but paused when she noticed Gleas just above the door frame holding a paper that said ‘say anything and you’ll receive punishment ’ Gleas let out an audible gulp before answering the door.

“Rose are you and Winter okay, I’m running around checking on everypony after the…” the stallion stopped “what in Tartarus happened to you.” Rose looked down her dust tan coat had dark rings going up and down her body from the ropes and her scarlet red mane was a mess. The stallion then noticed Winter on the floor with similar markings and she had a very blissful wry grin. “And her. For that matter.” He paused and looked the mare he was talking to “On second thought I don’t wanna know. Well I see your fine moving on.” He then slowly closed the door, and left. Rose rolled her eyes.

Gleas jumped down in front of her as she turned around “AH!!!” she screamed again looking at the greninja with scrutiny. “Don’t. do. that. please!” Gleas held up a note.

‘That “pony?” had a very large amount of malice coming from him. Why?’

Rose gulped and looked side to side then back to the greninja and sighed “it’s cuz we” she gestured to Winter “are together.” Gleas blinked and scribbled again.

‘Why would he be upset about that? And thank you for not squealing by the way.’ Rose nodded.

“There are a lot of ignorant ponies and who are against same sex relationships. A good number of them unfortunately go into the guard.” she sighed. “And as for not squealing as you put it well I could’ve but then that sexist jerk would’ve gotten the credit can’t have that now can I." she said with smirk. "And besides you’re not all that bad. My talent” she turned to the side revealing her flank which had three masks on it displaying happiness, sadness and anger. “is reading other ponies emotions.” Gleas scribbled again.

‘Interesting, nice flank by the way.’ Rose facehooved.

“Fillyfooler remember?” Rose stated rolling her eyes. Gleas just held up another piece of paper.

‘I’m female’

“seriously?” Gleas nodded a little insulted but let it slide. “huh still no, anyway what are you planning to do now.”

‘I need to find my friends and I’m not sure where to start.’

Winter stood up and moved to the two “you’re free to use this place until u find you’re friends, it shouldn’t be a problem as long you remain out of sight.” Winter examined the Pokémon “though I don’t see that being too hard for you. And…” her face started to blush again before she turned to Rose “if its ok with you Rose, maybe you could…. Uh… you know.”

Rose stared wide-eyed at her partner “Ok one when did you find out that you liked Bondage and two why haven’t you told me before now.”

Winter dug at the ground and looked away “uh well I uh I’ve always liked the ropes feel so good against my fur and being cradled in them is better than my cloud bed back home.” She drooled a little before shaking her head “And I didn’t tell because we have only just started dating a month ago I didn’t want to push you into it if you didn’t seem interested in it.”

“And you’re asking now because?”

“Gleas’s really knows her ropes, they felt soooo good I almost passed out when the tremor started.”

“Unbelievable so you’re asking for a three some with somepony we just met and with bondage thrown in the mix?”

Winter sat on her haunches and twiddled her hooves together anxiously looking around. She didn’t want to ruin her relationship with Rose but she couldn’t help it. She needed those ropes. “Yes” she finally said weekly very afraid that Rose would leave her.

Rose looked down at her marefriend and sighed “Fine.” Winter bolted up right ecstatic.

“YOU MEAN IT?!” Rose just nodded. Winter tackled her mate, wings unfurled pointing straight up “THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!!” she squealed, ravaging Rose with kisses.

Rose wiggled out of Winter’s grasp and looked at Gleas “but only if it’s ok with our new friend here.”

Gleas nodded ‘I’d love to, but I must search the city before it gets too dark so it’ll have to wait till tonight. If that’s alright with you two.’

Rose nodded then gasped “We haven’t even introduced ourselves and here we are skipping straight to third base.” She giggled. “I’m Desert Rose everyone just calls me Rose, and this horny mare is Winter Dance.”

‘It’s a pleasure to meet you both, pun intended.’

Rose laughed “Ok so there is the rule that you can’t be seen on base at all because obvious reasons everyone is stressed right now because creatures like yourself keep appearing, some incidents have already been reported. It’d be better for you, and us if you stay out of sight at least till things blow over.”

‘Easy enough I’m not called the ninja Pokémon for nothing. I’ll be back by night fall’

The Tuning Fox

Outside the wall a braixen was disturbed. Because a certain Glaceon started shaking her. “Rena wake up we’re in trouble.”

“Just few more minutes…” she whined.

“No we need to find the others.”

This got the fox pokemon up, and taking in her surroundings. She saw that she was lying in an alley and Bing was standing over her, concerned. She then proceeded to panic a little, grabbing her tail and looking it over, she gave a relieved sigh when she saw she still had her penny flute. She placed the whistle back in her tail before turning to Bing “Where are we.”

Bing shook his head “No idea. I just woke up a couple hours ago. I caught your scent and rushed over here I can’t smell anyone else though.” Bing look around “be careful there are ponyta everywhere and they don’t seem to be able to understand us.” Bing started walking down the alleyway. “come on I can’t smell the others here.”

“WAIT FOR ME.” Rena whined again running after Bing. The two of them navigated the city, doing the best they could to avoid the ponies. Most of the ponies were wary of them others out right terrified.

The two of them continued until they reached the center of the city and chose to hide in an abandoned music store, with boarded windows and demolition notice on the door. “We should be safe here for a while I don’t think they noticed us, how are you holding up.” Bing asked while watching as a group of ponies walked by the window. When Bing didn’t get an answer he turned his head to see her bent over a box rummaging through the contents. “Rena what are yo-“

“AH…HA!!! Found it!” She yelled excitedly pulling out a small fiddle case.

Bing sighed as he realized his choice in hiding spots. Rena has always been infatuated with music. And she has spent her time learning to play all kinds of instruments. Every time Jack went to a new city or city she would pester him to get a new book of instructions. Rena would keep a few smaller instruments in her tail, Bing always questioned how they stayed in there.

Rena opened the case “aww dang it” she held up the fiddle. The fiddle had no strings or bow and was in pretty bad condition. Bing looked around the room they were currently in there were a lot of boxes.

“Why don’t we look around maybe we’ll find a bow or at least some strings.” As the two began scowering boxes for the infamous strings and bow, Bing couldn’t but enjoy himself as he watched Rena rummage through box after box. She got excited after opening each one because for her it seemed to hold boundless treasures of broken instruments, and instruction booklets on each one.

Rena suddenly sat on the ground crying. “Where’s Jack? I miss him.” tears in her eyes she was sobbing. Bing knew she was scared, she was afraid she might have been abandoned again. He also knew words were hollow at this point he looked around for something, anything that might sooth her. Music was her life line, he looked around for any instrument in decent condition. He paused when he stumbled across a single set of bongos that were in perfect condition. He strapped the bongos to his side and sat on his haunches.

Rena had convinced Bing once before to try bongos and everyone was rather impressed with his abilities, but the thought didn’t hold much interest with him at the time. Using what he learned he banged a subtle rhythmic beat to which caused Rena to look up at him teary eyed. Rena watched him for several minutes just beating on the bongos with his paws. Before long Bing noticed Rena cheering up a little and he continued to play. Banging beat after Beat getting lost in his own rhythm.

As she felt her spirit left she joined in by pulling her penny flute from her tail and played in rhythm to the bongos. The mixture of the two instruments was not common to be heard, but as they played a small group formed outside the shop a testament to the beauty and harmony of the two. Bing and Rena however were lost to the world playing their songs. Bing even started humming.

As their duet came to an end, Rena sprung up and dived on top of Bing knocking him over. Shaking his head he stared up at the young braixen. “IKNEWITIKNEWITIKNEWIT…” She squealed in while holding him in a death hug, and nuzzling his neck. “I knew you loved music as much as me.” Bing chuckled and patted her head.

“I never said I didn’t.” Bing wiped her tears away. “We need to find the others, and figure out where we are.” Bing got up moved to the window and looked out at the dispersing crowd. “We sure caused a scene didn’t we?” Out in front of the crowd was a small filly with wings holding out a small bag, trying to take credit for the performance. “Come on we need to.” Bing said still looking out at the scene.

“Maybe we can find a back door.” Bing and Rena moved to the back of the shop looking for an exit. When they reached the back of the store, the sound of movement caught Rena’s eye causing her to stop and look around. Bing finally found the door he’d been looking for but a voice stopped him in his tracks.

“Please don’t go” The small voice caught them both by surprise it sounded like a child. The two Pokémon started looking around for the source.

“WHOSE THERE?” Bing shouted stepping in front of Rena.

“…I can’t understand you.” The voice replied.

“Oh I can help.” Before Bing could protest, the young braixen’s eyes glowed and connected the minds of the three of them. “Can you understand us now?”

“I…that’…” the voice started. Bing tensed up, fearing the worst. What happened next he was baffling to ice type. “SOOOOO COOOOOOOOL” a blur of red jumped out and talked the two of them in a massive ursa hug.

Bing blinked and looked up at his captor. It was a young cult with a red coat slitted yellow eyes and zubat wings. Bing noticed how different he was from the other ponyta he saw. His mane was short two tone black and a sky blue with a rattail pulled tight. The colt noticed his stare jumped back, trying to hide himself “I’m sorry… please don’t run… I…”

Rena saw his fear and skepticism and ran forward catching him in as good an embrace as she could. “We won’t you don’t need to be scared.” The little colt sat on his haunches wrapping his wings around Rena and started crying. Rena just held him tighter.

Any caution Bing felt for the foal was lost at the sight of the two. He was so enraptured by the sight he didn’t see the door open behind him. “He’s always been a little emotional.” The female voice behind him caught Bing by surprise. He turned and looked at the newcomer. It was the small filly from before and he immediately noticed the similarities between the two of them. The filly had the same coat and eye color but her wings were feathered and her eyes were normal not slitted, Also her mane was long and braded. It also sported the same colors as the colt. Her tail had a single stripe of sky blue.

“Sister, they’re not scared of me!” the little colt squeald with delight. Rena jumped up landed on his back, and simultaneously nuzzled him, before connecting to his sister’s mind.

The filly giggled “I see that.” She turned to the Glaceon holding the bag of bits out. “I suppose you want these.” She said, with a pout.

Bing just shook his head “you keep them we have no need for monetary gain. Although…” he looked at the bongo set attached to his waste. “I would like to keep this if it’s ok with you.”

The sister smiled “OK!” she said happily pulling the Glaceon into a hug. “it’s not really ours anyway.” This caused Bing to raise an eyebrow. She noticed this and continued “We’ve only been living here for a month I mean this place is abandoned so we made it our home.” Bing thought on this and looked the two over.

“I see… where are your parents, if you don’t mind me asking.” The filly turned her head away from.

“We don’t know, we used to stay at the orphanage but when my brother…” she looked over at the two of them playing some kind of game. That involved one trying to stay on top of another. “Developed we couldn’t stay there anymore.”

Bing thought on this but realized he had hit sore subject. “I see I take it his feature’s aren’t normal then.” The filly shook her head looked at him in disbelief.

“Nooo Reallly” she deadpanned. “Bat ponies aren’t liked very much here or well anywhere for that matter.” Bing noted the sarcasm.

“I meant no offense we’ve only got here a little while ago and still learning.”

The filly sighed “It’s okay. Sorry for snapping.” She shook her head again “oh I forgot my name’s Rise and that’s twin my brother Set.” She motioned to the little colt.

“Yes my name’s Bing and little one over there is Rena.” He stopped and looked her over again. “Thank you for your hospitality and the bongos but we do need to find our friends.”

Rise raised a hoof “No biggie, though I don’t think you should leave just yet there was a localized tremor behind the base and ponies are blaming the other creatures like yourself, the guard has already started to mobilize and try to capture you.”

Bing thought for a moment “I see then would it be alright to stay here over night it’s getting a little late.”

“Of course” Rise said “And I wanna know all about you and your kind okay?”

“Sounds like a plan.” Bing smiled.

Bing and Rena spent the night chatting with the foals and playing music. Rise had asked Bing all about the Pokémon and she did her best to answer his questions.
