//-------------------------------------------------------// A New Way to Fight -by Hidemain- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch 1. The Kung-Fu Pangoro //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch 1. The Kung-Fu Pangoro In the back alley of Luminouse city a sight all too familiar to some and alien to others. One man stood outside of a local bar under the moon lit sky, facing down 4 others. The blood brawl hadn’t even started. “Now you don’t have to do this you know we could just have a Pokémon battle and that would end it no need for you to get hurt.” The man in the business suit stated with a cocky smirk that made Jack pity the idiot. “So rather than face me directly you’d rather hide behind your Pokémon. Should have expected it.” Jack proclaimed calmly. Taking off his black jacket. The businessman stared coldly for a moment “I’m warning you the act you are about to undertake is not seen positive in anyway shape or form, in fact 90% of people would fix this dispute with a regular Pokémon battle. But what you’re telling me is that instead you’d rather fight four of my best men hand to hand all of which are much bigger than you.” The man paused again “Hell, Seige is almost 3 times your size, be reasonable if you take this path you will die.” The man’s voice was icy, he really meant that the 3 men before him, were going for the kill. Jack looked at the businessman with a hardened gaze before turning smiling light heartily “Then what have you got to lose?” The businessman sighed before commanding the 3 others before him “Just kill him.” On cue the three men spread themselves out in front of Jack. The one to his direct left was wearing a trench cloak, jeans and sunglasses. The man then drew a knuckle handled knife. The man on his right was wearing similar garb but was wearing brass knuckles. The one directly in front of jack the one he assumed was named Seige, was wearing jeans and a t-shirt and wasn’t carrying a weapon. The two on jacks left and right moved in unison trying to make a kind of triangular formation with Jack at the center. There was a long silence. And they just stared at each other. The air around them became thick and heavy as the two weapon-wielders breath increased getting pumped up in anticipation. Jack and the weaponless fighter stood stoically, staring each other down. The knife wielder moved first, charging towards Jack’s blind side. Jack pivoted grabbing the knife wielders weapon arm and simultaneously elbowing the attacker in the face. Jack twisted the man’s arm causing him let go of the knife. Jack turned again taking the man with him and kicked him forward towards his mid-swing comrade causing both to fall to the ground. Jack knelt down slightly, avoiding the stoic Mr. Seige with precision. Jack ducked under his swung around the back of his opponent, and delivered a powerful curb stomp to the back of his knee. Causing the man to fall to one knee. Before Jack could continue the maneuver the other two ran forward. Jack back flipped out of reach. Jack took another calculated moment to stare at his attackers as they readied themselves for round two. “HEY WHATS TAKING SO LONG KILL HIM ALREADY” the businessman was furiously yelling. The 4 men in front of him remained quiet his smaller lackeys were huffing. Jack remained silent observing his opponents his hood now down his eyes a greenish yellow glowing with the moon. Jack Released a long breath steam emanating from his mouth, and jack started to dance. That is how his opponents would describe it. Jack hopped back and forth his torso swaying as if to some unheard beat. And with warning Jack dashed toward them with speeds that could put Pokémon to shame. Jack’s attackers couldn’t even blink before, he was on them. He delivered a knee to the tallest of the three. His knee impacted his face with enough force to shatter the man’s skull, which indeed was the outcome. Seige just fell over and in another blink Jack round housed the man with the knife, introducing his face to the wall. Jack wasn’t finished, he moved even faster than before, and sent an elbow to his remaining opponents stomach causing him to topple over and passing out on the spot. “Is that the best you got…” Jack nearly shouted in disappointment as he realized his three opponents were out cold and sprawled in every way. “oh… hey Gleas how many fights is that this month.” he asked the water type who had just made her presence known. "Should I tell him he’s gotten into a fight at least 8 times in the past 3 weeks?" Her thoughts were derailed as the familiar sound of a Pokémon release echoed in the alley. She saw behind her trainer a rather large pangoro. She quickly readied her water shuriken, but her trainer stepped forward. Gleas just sighed and lowered her shuriken, she knew her trainer well. “COM’ER YA FLUFFY BASTARD!!!” Jacks yelled as he Charged the pangoro not giving it a chance think as he ran an arm that was in the middle of a hammer arm. Jack jumped high above and came down with a crazed look on his face, as he introduced the heel of his boot with the daunting Pokémon's face. The pangoro wobbled a little before falling back wards. Jack landed on his feet with a triumphant grin. He thrust his arm out while fingers made a V shape. Gleas just sighed and facepalmed. The business man began running for his life and jack turned to Gleas. “would you be so kind as to drag the bastard back here so we can go home?” Gleas rolled her eyes before using hydro pump on the fleeing victim. “Alright let’s wrap the bastard up and leave ‘em for the cops.” With that Jack and Gleas closed in on the now unconscious businessman. Gleas proceeded to tie him up in an bondage style rope dress. “You know I noticed before but you’re starting to scare me.” Jack took a worried note of the bondage dreams his Pokémon may be infatuated with. Jack and Gleas arrived at the police station dragging the still unconscious businessman. The officer at the desk gasped and ran outside a mightyena following, after seeing them through the glass door. “HALT” he yelled before taking note of the person in question. “Arceus, Jack who’s the sleaze ball you bringing now…” he paused “and what’s with the bondage?” Jack Chuckled “Don’t worry Mike this guy’s goons were slipping drugs into drinks at the bar and when we confronted the goon this guy came out.” Jack waved his arms nonchalantly “had some ‘you don’t know who we are speech’ and I proceeded to pummel him and his lackeys.” Mike got closer to the man and recognized him “aw this guy actually got away a couple months ago after we found ties to a prostitution ring” he explained. “Guess he let his pride get the better of him. Good work.” “It was nothing really” Jack said with wave of his hand. “You know there’s no bounty for you to collect for this guy right?” Mike said noticing the gleam in Jack’s eye. Jack pouted “oh well still just helping out never hurts right.” Jack regained his smile “OH and the others are out cold behind Buneary’s pup” Mike raised his radio “I need squad down at Buneary’s pup to pick up some trash, courtesy of Jack Law. Over.” After some static his officer’s acknowledged. “Well it’s been fun but we should go back to the hotel.” Jack urged. “Ok we got it from here.” Mike responded looking at the unconscious captive again “Seriously what’s with bondage?” Jack Broke into laughter “That’s all her man” Jack said motioning to Gleas was standing proudly over her work. “Seriously I don’t get it either.” Jack just shrugged it off. “Well whatever you two stay safe” Mike said as he dragged the ‘perp’ inside. “We will.” Jack yelled walking away. Once back back at the hotel Jack released his pokemon and went to sleep. Jack and his team had been up the whole night it was 4am when he he first encountered the thugs. “Rest now my children, for when you awake a whole new world will be your home” The first thing Jack noticed was his head throbbing worse than any hang over imaginable. He opened his eyes to gage his surroundings. He was in an alleyway staring at the sky. Had those thugs from earlier been the cause? Or did he just get hammered before he went back to the hotel. He couldn’t remember anything. It was all a blur. He slowly stood up and took a better look around “what age am I in” he asked noticing the ‘olden days’ themed buildings. Jack looked down the alleyway, he could see the rest of the city had very colorful looking ponyta walking from place to place in a hurry. When he turned to the side he saw a clearing just before a forest. Jack groaned his head still splitting. He swayed and groaned trying to escape the noise of the city behind him. When he reached the edge of the alley there was a small clearing just off to the side he saw two more ponyta standing over a Leafeon and a monstrous aurorus both of whom were unconscious. Jack observed the scene in front of him, the ponyta on the left was a dull orange color with a black mane and tail as well as some odd tattoo of a rake on his flank. The other ponyta was even weirder it was a greyish blue with a red mane it’s tattoo was of dice in a bowl. Jack froze on the spot as he overheard them talking. “What do you think they are Dice” the orange one spoke with a cliched drawl. “I dunno, hey maybe we can sell this one to a taxidermist and I bet this one would fetch a nice price in the circus, what do you think Cheap.” Dice said motioning from the leafeon to the aurorus. Jack was both shocked and outraged, he was shocked because he could understand the ponyta for one and was outraged by what the ponyta had said. Jack was many things a bounty hunter, a trainer, a fighter but, rash was not. Jack stepped into the clearing his banging headache no longer a problem, made a beeline for Cheap on the left. Jack didn’t notice but he moved at speeds far greater than he’d ever been. For Dice things were moving in slow motion as he watched in horror as this monster of a panda kick Cheap in the barrel like a pony playing hoofball. Jack turned to face Dice, who the spot pissed himself, before flying away. Jack raised an eyebrow and turned to cheap who was passed out halfway embedded in the wall. Jack then turned to the Pokémon. Walking up to the unconscious aurorus. Giving the tundra Pokémon a few shakes. “Come on, girl wake up.” Jack said praying the Pokémon was uninjured. When something finally caught his attention. Jack had to shake his head looked again downward at his hands and feet seeing the black and white fur. He his hands were huge with 4 digits, each one brandishing a small claw. His feet were large and black also with small claws coming out of the toes. His entire body was bulky and he could tell just from sitting he was a good foot and a half taller than he used to be. Jack shook his head again “Not now gotta wake up these two before things get more complicated” he said, as he remembered the more important issue at hand. As it was written by murphy’s law Jack immediately heard the sound of hooves clopping behind him. Jack slowly stood up and turned around. “That’s the biggest bear I’ve ever seen” one of the ponyta said. “Dear celestia, look at the hole in the building” “The civilian was right it’s obviously dangerous, Dive get over there and check on the casualty” “uh… u sure I mean that guy’s eyeing us pretty hard right now” “We’ll cover you if he move’s now GO! That’s an order.” Jack watched as one of the ponyta with wings ran over to Cheap, quickly checking his pulse. Jack just stared straight ahead at one that seemed to be in charge. Dive called out after a moment “He’s alive sir” “Good just leave him there and get back in formation, I don’t trust this thing.” Dive flew back over and took his place next to his team. Jack was staring down the 5 ponyta in front of him, 2 had wings, and one had a horn the rest had neither. The two sides watched and examined each other waiting for the other to make the first move. The staring contest was interrupted when the aurorus finally woke up looking at scene confused and disorientated “Where…am I?” she asked staggering to her feet. Jack turned his back the ponyta to help her up, ignoring that the aurorus was talking. “BY LUNA” one of the regularish ponyta yelled “that things enormous!!!” Jack and the aurorus ignored the guards. “Not sure I woke up here same as you.” He started to explain seeing the confusion on the aurorus was in. “We can talk later right now we need to get out of here and fast you know ice beam?” he asked hopefully. The aurorus gave Jack a deadpan look “Really? I’m only called the tundra Pokémon what do you think” “Hey just being sure,” He said with a shrug “Think you can make a wall with it?” “Ah I see your plan now” With that the aurorus released the torrent of ice creating a massive wall between them and the ponyta. Jack quickly scooped up the leafeon and they both turned to run only to be cut off by the winged ponyta. The Ice wall behind them also collapsed in an instant as three ponyta bucked it. They were now surrounded. “Damn it all, I’m not known for my speed.” The aurorus complained. Not wasting another moment Jack gently placed the leafeon on her back, “I’ll cover you, the two of you get out of here as soon as I make an opening got it” The aurorus turned to face the pangoro. “Are you sure?” Jack nodded “I still don’t get what’s going on but I’ll take Freya. HAIL.” The aurorus turned head to the sky and launched another beam causing the sky to darken and hail began to fall. The ponyta were completely baffled by this. “Impossible how can that thing have control of the weather!!!” one of the ponyta yelled. Aurorus took the opportunity and made a beeline for the forest, again the two flying ponyta moved only to face the bear who knocked one into the other with a powerful kick after bounding off a tree. After the two were knocked to the side the aurorus continued on her path out of the area. Another ponyta tried to run after but Jack landed with a crash uprooting him causing him to fly back. As all the ponyta got to their feet the leader spoke again. “Let it go, something tells me we’re gonna have our hooves full with this one.” Jack looked down at his huge feet and saw a sprig sticking straight up with two leaves on the end of it. As if he were in a trance he knelt down and picked the weed from the ground a placed the back end in his mouth. It felt natural as if that was where it was supposed to go. Jack noticed an extra sense. He looked up just in time as one of the ponyta charged at him spear in hoof. The hail which had steadily poured down ended at that moment, and the sun once again peeked out of the clouds. Jack caught the spear and kicked the ponyta away. Another vibration of the sprig caused him to jump into the air once more. The two flying ones passed beneath him. He latched on to a tree and watched the ponyta again. “ARGH!!! I give up this is insane, one can control the weather like a pegasus and this one is not only as strong as an earth pony but can also predict our movements!” Dive complained. Jack finaly remembered an important detail ‘ah that’s right pangoro use the sprigs in their mouths to detect movement’ he took this opportunity and jumped from the tall tree attempting to land behind the ponyta. Jack felt something else this time from his feet and he felt himself drop like a cannon ball in the dead center of the ponyta. The ground trembled, and shook knocking the ponyta on the ground with force. Jack had just used earthquake. “Scratch that” said the other winged ponyta trying to stabilize himself “Definitely stronger than an earth pony.” Silver looked at his ponies and then back at the creature which had resumed staring at them. He had to seal the creature’s movements before anyone else got hurt. “DIVE, WING take his flank, ROCK, SLATE take his front distract him!!!” without another word the four of them moved and creature respond to each one with painful ease. Silver focused his magic on his most powerful binding spell. Jack was preoccupied dodging and countering. The ponyta’s initial confusion was gone they were working as a team now. ‘They’re trained’ Jack thought swiping at Dive. The ponyta quickly jumped away and Jack turned and saw the fifth ponyta was standing still it’s horn glowing profusely. Jack noticed a light beneath him and when he looked down he was stunned a large glowing circle glowed beneath him and chains the same yellow color shot out tying his arms, neck, legs and torso attempting to drag him to the ground. After moments of struggling fruitlessly he was finally brought to his knees. The four ponyta moved in a cone formation with spears at the ready. Struggling to stand Jack kept his eyes on each of them. He eyed the leader whose horn was still aglow. Before any thought or plan could be formed however a kitchen knife flew through the other ponyta and pierced the Jack in the shoulder. Silver turned to see that the civilian who was unconscious earlier had thrown the knife. Jack howled in pain. “RESTRAIN HIM” Silver ordered. Rock charged and tackled the civilian to the ground, the latter of whom was swearing. “TAKE THAT YOU DAMN MONSTER IT’S WHAT YOU GET.” Cheap screamed while being held down to the ground by Rock. “HOLD STILL” Rock ordered trying to restrain him. “YOU AND YOUR PALS SHOULD’VE JUST COME QUIETLY TO THE CIRCUS BUT NOO YOU HAD TO GO AND BE A HERO.” Cheap continued his villainous rant. Silver stared at the bear “Now it makes sense” he said as he walked closer. “What does sir?” Slate asked unsure. Silver turned to his subordinate “Let me put this in perspective for you” Silver said ripping the knife from the bear, eliciting another howl. “Let’s say your friends were being threatened to be put into a circus as a freak show act, how would YOU react?” Jack struggled glaring at the ponyta. All the ponies grew silent well almost all of them until Rock knocked out cheap. Silver looked again at the bear in front of him. “Can you understand me bear?” He asked looking him in the eyes. Jack had stopped struggling and was observing them. The bear nodded. “My name is Silver Gate, of Fort Hoof. We were sent here under the call of an animal attack. Now given the evidence I have thus concluded yours to be in self-defense. Now I am going to heal the knife wound and after I will release you.” Silver studied the bear quizzically “If this is acceptable to you nod twice” Jack did just that. The glow on silver’s horn subsided and the chains dissipated. Jack then rolled back into a cross legged position. “Wing bring me a med kit stat!” Wing flew off quickly. Silver turned back to the bear who had his paw over his wound. “Wing will be back in minute. Now I know an old translation spell that might work to let us have a proper conversation, would that be acceptable?” Silver asked inspecting the knife wound. "Your gona try and comunicate with it!" Dive squealed "It's a mindless monster." Silver turned to Dive "Are you suggesting that the Elite Guard can be utterly destroyed and humiliated by a 'mere' monster." Dive deflated and Silver continued "No it has intelligence no monster can move that precisely without it." Jack was taken back by the sudden change in demeanor of the ponyta not even five minutes ago they were trying to kill him, and now they’re nursing him back to health over a knife wound. Jack thought himself crazy but then again he made a lot of friends by getting his ass handed to him, being on the other end was strange. Jack nodded after few moments. “Alright just wait a moment.” Silver’s horn lit up and a bright yellow beam shot out hitting Jack in the chest. Jack observed himself as his body eventually became fully engulfed in the light. Sure enough after few seconds it faded, and Jack stared at Silver. “Names Jack, Jack law” Silver smiled. “Well Jack I was able deduce most of the situation thanks to Cheap’s rambling but I’d still like to hear from your side.” Jack and Silver recounted the events that led up to the present, as well as talking about who and what they were. Silver informed Jack of his surroundings and Jack in turn told Silver as much as he knew about Pokémon. Their conversation went well into the afternoon. “Are you going to be alright Jack?” Silver asked concerned “Yeah I’ll be fine but I need to find those other two and make sure they're alright before anything else happens.” “Then I wish you luck and hopefully the answers we both seek will come with the morning. Do you have a place to stay?” “I’ll stay in the forest for now so not to cause a panic and I personally prefer outdoors. But thank you for the offer.” Silver sighed “Ok just be careful.” With smile and wave jack disappeared in the forest. Jack walked through the unfamiliar forest swaying side to side mind blank. He walked like that for roughly ten minutes before he came to a clearing seeing the aurorus and the now conscious leafeon. The aurorus looked up from the leafeon and turned her attention to Jack. “You made it I take it you were victorious then.” Jack looked at her with a spacey expression and before sitting down and leaning up against a tree.  And stared at the sky. Many thoughts ran through his head, Why was he here? Where is here? Where was his Pokémon? Why was he a Pokémon? What were those strange ponyta and why hadn’t they even heard of Pokémon? All these questions played out in his head and more until the leafeon padded up to him with some Oran berries in her mouth. She set them down next to him, “Thank you for helping me.” Jack could swear her voice could give diabetes. The leafeon padded back over to the aurorus. She was obviously afraid for some reason. Jack sighed and ate the berries, he froze tasting the berries. He examined the berry again it was noticeably darker than the Oran berries back home and tasted nothing like an Oran berry. “I know they're not Oran berries but they will have to do for now while we figure things out or until we can find better food.” The aurorus explained. “Oh by the way my trainer called me Aurora, and this little one Freya.” Aurora motioned to the leafeon who was currently distracted by Aurora’s tail, before turning back to Jack. “Do you have a tittle pangoro or no?” Jack looked at the two of them “Jack, and if I’m understanding right you’re trained Pokémon.” Jack ventured, "So do either of you know where we are or how to get to Kalos from here." Aurora frowned “No I’m afraid not last night me and Frey here went to sleep in camp with our trainer and I woke up when we were engaged with the ponies.” Aurora shook her head “We were hoping you could shed some light on what was going on.” Jack released a sigh “I’ll tell you what I got from the ponies.” Jack explained the conversation he had with silver and how they arrested Cheap. He also explained to them that he used to be human, and the last things he remembered before waking up. “The situation is dire indeed.” Aurora sighed “In any case me and Freya need to find Milla Reich our trainer. I shudder to think that the poor girl is alone out here.” Jack looked up at the sky again the sun was getting ready to set and the nocturnal Pokémon would be out soon. “For now we should get some sleep ill help you look for your trainer in the morning but we shouldn’t move around too much at night, especially since we’re not familiar with this forest.” “Agreed, we would appreciate the help you’re clearly a powerful fighter.” Aurora said as she got comfortable next to Freya. “We could use your help greatly.” “Don’t mention it, it’s not like I have anywhere to go at this point.” “Indeed” Aurora said, as she settled herself for the night. “Goodnight then Jack.” “Goodnight” he said still leaning up against the tree as they all fell into slumber. Aurora fell laid down with Freya cuddled into her large neck. The forest was silent for the small group while they slept. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch 2. Just a Little Pain //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch 2. Just a Little Pain Just a little bit of pain. The Morning was cold with the dew laying over Jacks fur. Jack opened his eyes looking across the clearing at the two girls who were still out. He smiled at sisterly bond the two seemed to share. Jack stood up using the tree as a brace. He proceeded to pop his back in several places, as well giving his body a good shake to get the morning dew off of his fur. The sun wasn’t over the mountain yet. He estimated about 6 to 7 am. There was enough light to start the day the morning was quiet serene and peaceful. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Correction it was peaceful.  Jack acted immediately. He spun around to source, only to take a powerful wild charge just below the belt. ‘Somewhere a divine entity hates me.’ Arceus, his children, Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Twilight all got goose bumps at that exact moment. Jack keeled over on top of the currently freaking out jolteon. Having its view suddenly obscured and a hefty weight weighing down in the Jolteon Screamed again followed by a thunder bolt. Aurora and Freya were now wide awake and staring at the keeled over pangoro and the exhausted jolteon. And before they could get any closer the jolteon fainted on the spot still underneath the pangoro. Aurora turned to Freya “Good morning.” The two remained unconscious for only a few minutes. Milla felt heavy and sluggish like she couldn’t move at all. She then realized some big and warm was pressing down on her. It was comfortable to the point she almost wanted to go back to sleep. But she soon remembered she was running for her life not too long ago and forced her eyes open. Before her was something she couldn’t make out. She rubber her eyes blinking trying to get a good picture of what was before her. She stared at it, her face turned scarlet upon realizing what it was and she promptly freaked out again. “NOOOOOO” She screamed this time releasing pin missile, in every direction. Jack felt it immediately. “AH!!” he exclaimed jumping up off the Jolteon and landing off to side. Aurora and Freya just watched with amusement. “PERVERT!!!” The jolteon exclaimed waving a paw in Jacks general direction. Jack sat up shaking his head. “Excuse me? I’m not the one wild charging people’s dicks.” Jack proceeded to pull out the needles they weren’t in far and didn’t actually. The Jolteon huffed, looking off to the side. “That was an accident, and that doesn’t give you the right to shove that THING IN MY FACE!” the jolteon’s face was a dark dink at the memory. “You. Wild. Charged. My. DICK!” Jack deadpanned “and proceeded to wake me up by spraying needles at me, so I officially don’t care about any inconvenience you suffered!” The Jolteon was about reply when she heard the familiar stomping coming from the brush she exited. All heads turned and watched. Three very disgruntled fighting type Pokémon came running into the clearing stopping at the scene. In the center was a hitmonchan and to its left and right was a machamp and a hitmonlee. “Arceus damned, the bitch would be in league a dark type.” The machamp quipped in disgust. Jack raised an eyebrow at the three of them then looked back to the jolteon. “Your boyfriends?” he asked. She just gave him an annoyed look. Jack sighed “Look I’m sure the little nutcracker is sorry for whatever she did.” Before she could even comment on her nick name the machamp again shouted angrily “That bitch stole our food!” Jack looked down to the Jolteon with a raised eyebrow “you’re pregnant?” “OF ALL TH-“she started to yell but was cut off again this time by the hitmonchan. “ENOUGH!” all eyes turned to the hitmonchan. He let out a sigh before continuing with a soft and overly friendly tone that made Jack’s stomach turn. “Look we don’t have to do this dark type. Just hand over the jolteon.” He looked at the four Pokémon in front of him. “Just look at your allies, two are obviously weak aside and we have the type advantage on yourself and the aurorus, no matter how you look at it this scuffle will result in you getting very badly beaten.” Milla for her part was getting ready flee as a trainer she knew type match ups were no joke. Not seeing any hope that the pangoro wouldn’t turn her in she began to back away. That is until he did just the opposite. Jack took a step in front of the jolteon and stared down the three of them “I won’t stand aside until I know the full story.” He then turned to the jolteon who began to sweat with all the attention on her. “I…I…”she started trying to think of something that might get her out of her dire predicament. When nothing came she broke down to tears placing her head on the ground and hid her face with her paws. And started wailing “IWOKEUPYESTERDAYASAJOLTEONGOTLOSTTHROUGHTHEFORESTGOTCHASEDBYGHOSTANDBUGSANDOTHERTHINGSITHINKWEREBUGSANDIWASSOOOOO HUNGRY….I..AND..IM..SOOOOOO...SORRY!!!” She sobbed out the last bit in between breaths and tears. Everything was quiet Jack turned back to the other three. “Well there you have it she was desperate and frantic. So will you cut her some slack?” The three Pokémon shook their heads to get their train of thought back. The hitmonchan spoke up with an a sadistic smirk as he began “Ordinarily one meal wouldn’t be a problem, however she ate all the food we collected which was supposed to last us a week.” He stared down the group “This is a matter that cannot be settled by words I’m afraid, she has stolen our food and as such she must be beaten.” The Jolteon paled in horror at what might turn out to be her fate. She began back away only to bump into Aurora who had moved to stand next to them. The Jolteon’s color immediately returned as she recognized the aurorus. “AURORA!!!” she jumped up onto her hind paws and hugged her leg as Freya came into view as well. “and Freya too!!!” she beamed completely forgetting about her current situation. The leafeon and aurorus tilted their heads in confusion. “Do we know you?” Asked Aurora staring intently. What that returned receded again “I… it’s me Milla I hatched you from an egg and Freya I found as an eevee when she fell into my bag trying to steal treats.” She pleaded hope in her eyes that her friends would recognize her. Freya suddenly ran forward tackling Milla to the ground nuzzling her, “You are Milla oh I’ve missed you sooo much” Aurora just looked down with a cold expression “She could have gotten that information from a psychic type so we can’t be sure. I say we put her on Ice till we can figure it out.” Milla paled again looking fearful at her friend. “It… it’s me please ask me anything, ill prove it I swear!” she was already holding Aurora’s leg begging with teary eyes. Until an evil grin plastered it’s self onto her face. Milla paused her groveling “YOU…EVIL…SADIST.” She yelled playfully hitting Aurora in the leg before hugging it again. “Oh I love you.” Aurora smiled and nuzzled her trainer. Jack and the other three Pokémon watched the display. “I miss Gleas.” he mutter before turning back to the other three. “Well there you have it and knowing what you’re planning it wouldn't sit right for me to watch you beat the poor thing senseless. So if you’re inclined to leave peacefully then that would be nice.” Jack proceeded to crack his neck. “But if you insist on fighting I’ll be happy to oblige.” Milla immediately ran to his side “You can’t be serious there all fighting types you don’t stand a chance.” She said worryingly. Jack sighed and looked down at her “Then would you rather fight and most likely die?” Once again she paled before simply responding “no.” Jack stared at her a few more seconds before the hitmonchan caught his attention again. “I swear I don’t know why a dark type would protect the bitch but it doesn’t matter.” He motioned to the hitmonlee “Take him out.” The hitmonlee rushed forward, “Double kick” the hitmonlee shot his leg up and began kicking continuously at Jack. He however saw it coming and side stepped grabbing the Pokémon’s arm. Jack slung the kicking Pokémon into the closest and thickest three he could find. The momentum imbedded the Pokémon in the tree just before falling down and staring at the sky with swirling eyes. “You damned dark type I don’t know what underhanded move that was but you’re going to regret it” the machamp screamed while charging forward. Jack fumed “it’s called martial arts you muscle bound moron.” That he ducked uncessarily low and kicked the machamp in the stomach. “WHAT’S PAINT HAVE TO DO WITH THIS.” The machamp bellowed shrugging off the kick and charging again. Jack continued to parry dodge and counter each and every move the machamp could dish out. Milla looked to her Pokémon then back the in suing battle. “Uh shouldn’t we help him?” she asked watching the display. Aurora watched the battle as Jack dodged the four armed menace and kneed him the gut. “Uh no if his story from last night is true I don’t think he’ll need it.” Jack brought his arm down to the back of machamp’s head as he did he noticed the glow of his arm. And he realized he was using hammer arm. Before he could use his next move he saw the hitmonchan charge him trying to catch him off guard. Unfortunately for the hitmonchan, Jack was used to fighting multiple opponents. And as such jumped up and kicked the Pokémon in the face, sending him back several feet. Milla sat with Aurora and Freya watching the conflict from a safe distance “So where’d you pick this guy up anyway?” She asked the ice type. Aurora pondered it for a moment. “I think he more picked us up. He was there when I woke up fighting off ponyta… no I think ponies was what he called them last night.” “Ponies?” Milla raised an eyebrow. “Yes well ill just tell what happened. upon waking up I saw him there staring down the.. ‘ponies’ and after an attempt to escape he chose to fight them head on. Giving me time to escape with Freya, who was still out at the time.” She looked over at the battle marveling the pangoro’s fighting style. “I felt indebted to him. So we waited in this clearing soon Freya woke and I told her what I knew. In the afternoon he met us here explained what had happened with the ponies and introduced himself as Jack Law a martial artist/bounty hunter.” This peeked Milla’s attention. “Martial artist… Bounty Hunter?” Milla was confused she had met some martial artists before but they didn’t the same air about them that Jack had. “How do you go from martial artist to bounty hunter?” Milla asked before noticing the tundra Pokémon’s gaze. She was looking longingly in the distance at the continued fight which was now coming to a close as Jack had just knocked out the machamp… using the hitmonlee as a club. Milla turned back to the spacing Pokémon “Are… crushing on him?” She asked with a smirk. Aurora looked down at Milla and then back to Jack before answering “huh I suppose I am.” Milla’s smirk left with a sigh “you’re no fun to tease.” “So did you get a good look at his penis?” Aurora asked as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Milla returned to her cherry color “I…YOU…NO!!!!! JUST NO!!!” she screamed frantically. “I…don’t…get it” the Hitmonchan said huffing after each word “You’re a dark type this should be easy why are doing so much damage to me and why can’t I read any of your moves?” he asked Jack frustratingly. Jack merely let the Pokémon continue to jump around boxer style studying his movements. Jack stayed in a combat stance “Well to answer you’re first question it’s cuz I haven’t used any dark type moves on you or fighting for that matter. You see the problem with Pokémon” Jack continued while dodging each punch. “Is that you fall back on basic moves making anything you do predictable and downright sloppy also easy to counter.” Jack got his point across by hitting the Pokémon’s fist downward and slamming his face with a palm strike. Once again knocking the Pokémon down. The hitmonchan groaned “Enough we concede you can take her.” Jack watched was as the hitmonchan dragged his comrades away. Jack sighed and walked back over to the group. He looked at the group before sitting down. Milla was rolling around with Freya and Aurora was watching with a bored look. Jack let out a sigh and sat back down against his tree. His stomach let the group know of his presence. Milla laughed “I guess you’re hungry too.” She gathered some of the berries that Freya had gathered the day before and brought them over. “Thanks, nutcracker.” He said with a sly smile as he began to eat. “HEY!! My names Milla” she huffed before sighing. “Thank you for saving me and helping me get reunited with my team they told me what you did for them. It was…very brave.” Jack smiled “well I wasn’t about to let them be turned into decorations. And as for the save, well that’s just something I do. Oh and ur stuck with nutcracker by the way.” “Ugh…” she sighed resigning to her fate as the nutcracker. Jack reached out his hand “Jack Law, Martial artist and part time bounty hunter, pleasure to meet you.” Milla smiled putting her paw in his fuzzy hand “Milla Reich top coordinator and future ranger.” Jack released her paw “Future ranger huh? Honorable work but a bit too black and white for my tastes.” Milla smirked “Oh and the ‘Martial Artist’ is such a colorful and prosperous endeavor?” Jack rolled his eyes “Like I haven’t heard that before.” his tone was sour and dismissive. Milla caught on to this and realized she hit a nerve. This peeked her curiosity. “Say why did you become a martial artist not to be rude but they don’t make that much considering the low popularity.” Jack smiled warmly “It’s a long story” he looked off into the distance. “I ain’t going nowhere” she smirked. Jack looked back at her “well it started with my father…” My father was in charge of the Veilstrom city gym before my sister Maylene took over. As you may know the gym focuses on fighting types, and as such we had a strict code of always going through the same training as our Pokémon. I know this isn’t uncommon but it’s were the spark started. I’d always sit and watch the fighting types go at it mostly out of boredom, I’d watch my family get fired up over the sparing matches. Somehow it just didn’t excite me like it did them. At some point they noticed my indifference and it unanimous that I go on my own Pokémon journey when I went to choose my first Pokémon I decided I wanted to get away from fighting types so chose turtwig whom I aptly named Honu. Needless to say my family didn’t approve, but I think they understood. As I went on my journey we fought countless battles won almost all of them. And they all felt empty somewhere I had starting thinking that the battles were my Pokémon’s victory not mine. And to make matters worse I had started noticing how trainers behave using their Pokémon as shields for their own ego. It felt wrong using Pokémon to settle their own vendettas. I thought it pathetic and weak. From the time started my journey I kept my families custom of training alongside my Pokémon and as my mind continued to twist for the ‘norm’ I soon began feeling the need to test my own strength and reflexes with my Pokémon. I trained and trained until I was battered at the end of each day sharping myself. And soon my point of realization came. It was when I was in the Kanto region all my Pokémon had gotten stolen by the group team rocket. There was ten of them each having their own Pokémon. I was so furious but unlike the other trainers who also had their Pokémon taken I didn’t feel helpless, in fact it felt more like a calm rage a cold fire if you will. I moved through the sea of Pokémon nocking few out with quick strikes and patient counters. I quickly got to the actual members knocking them out with ease. Once it was over I’d finally figured it out the sense of accomplishment I couldn’t get through battles, the excitement I couldn’t feel any other way. The very reason I couldn’t be a fighting type trainer like my family was not because I didn’t like fighting types but because I WAS a fighting type. From then on I dedicated my life to learning martial arts. Boxing, karate, jiu-jitsu, muay-tai, wrestling, even less known like the ancient techniques of haganah. I learned them all but I didn’t quit battling, once I had made up my mind about what I wanted I sat my Pokémon down and promised them that we would get stronger together. I told them I would no longer give commands during battles and that every badge earned was theirs and theirs alone. We trained and spared together as equals going through blood sweat and tears. Soon my Pokémon took on completely new identities, their ‘moves’ became their own no longer copy and paste onto them. Hell some of them expressed to me their desire for competitions. And we all grew strong very stronger than my family ever thought possible. But sometimes we are not meant to have happy endings. I went home before heading off to the Kalos region. There I expressed to my family my ideals and the path me and my team had chosen. When my father learned how we got stronger and how we conducted our battles he was appalled to say the least. In his eyes I was a failure as a fighting type trainer. I didn’t realize it but while I was away apparently he truly thought that I would be just like him. So he challenged me to a battle his wager was that if he won I would stay home so he could reeducate me. I accepted. Before the battle began I released all my Pokémon so they could all see MY progress. We were going to do a one on one battle. He chose his Pokémon to be his strongest lucario. To his shock and disappointment I didn’t send any of my Pokémon I stepped into the battle arena and stared down the lucario. My father protested angrily shouting with everything he had like it’d make a difference. I merely told him ‘you challenged me father not my Pokémon.’ Furious my dad continued to yell at me demanding I battle him properly. I argued with him saying that he was the one not battling properly I explained if he wanted to challenge me then he’d have to fight me. My father’s anger increased to the point he told his lucario to attack. The lucario hesitant at first soon complied and proceeded to attack with great speed and strength the likes a fighting type should have. While my father called out each attack making the movements that much easier to follow, he also was holding the lucario back at first. I played along boringly until his rage got the better of him and made his Pokémon go all out. My blood had finally starting pumping and once again I enjoyed the fight between the lucario and myself. Move after move my father screamed I dodged rolled, countered and parried. The training I had done with my Pokémon had increased my reflex’s to beyond human capabilities and thus made me more of a fighter. The lucario eventually tired and I struck the decisive blow that knocked the lucario unconscious. My dad continued to rage and fume his protests claiming the match wasn’t valid for me not using my Pokémon and that I still had to remain home. I looked at my father in disgust and told him ‘you are weak, you have no honor, and you no longer have a son’ after that my father stood gaping he couldn’t believe what I had just said. Before I left I placed a keychain with my family’s crest and gym badge on the lucario’s chest and left. “Shortly after that I headed to the Kalos region for further training, I do the bounty hunter thing just for extra cash. And hey let’s face it no one cars when lowlifes are beaten to a pulp.” Jack shrugged. Milla listened to his tale and when it ended she stared at him in disbelief “Liar.” She said her gaze switching to a deadpanned look. Jack laughed not being insulted “You asked why I became a martial artist and I told you, I don’t really care if you believe me or not.” He shrugged again. “I can believe you until the point where you claimed to match a gym leader’s lucario, I mean really there is no possible way that a human can match a well-trained Pokémon blow for blow.” “Don’t underestimate humans in truth I’ve realized our only limitation is our own complacency.” “Well whatever I still don’t believe it.” she sighed not believing his words “ok so putting that on hold what’s our general plan I mean I’d like to find the rest of my team and I’m pretty sure you’d like to as well.” Milla looked around “and we really don’t have a place to start looking and let’s not forget the fact we’re both Pokémon who used to be human.” Jack stood up taking note of this location. “Well I think we should focus on searching the forest and that city. That seems to be the best bet.” Milla shot up at this “THERE A CITY NEARBY!?” she stared at the pangoro eyes full of hope and desire “Why didn’t you say so sooner?” “Well first off I didn’t really get a chance to and second I’d rather avoid it I’m not fond of cities.” Jack thought for a moment eyeing the dejected Jolteon. “Ok let’s do this you and Freya search the city and me and Aurora will search the forest. Aurora can fill me in on your team but I would like you to keep look out for mine if at all possible.” Jack looked towards the sun it was still very early around 8 if he guessed right. “We can meet here at sunset.” “Ok but first what kind of Pokémon you have so I can keep a look out.” “Well first is Honu a torterra, you probably won’t find him in the city and if you did he’d stick out like sore… uh claw? Any way also there is Gleas a greninja yeah you won’t find her unless she wants to be found. A male Glaceon named Bing, a male electivire named Thor, a Golurk named Rots and finally my little girl Rena a braixen.” Jack looked off in the distance remembering his ‘little girl’ Milla stared at Jack “That’s an odd line up don’t you think. I mean more than half of your Pokémon are starters.” Jack looked at her with a frown being snapped out of his moment. “My first three Pokémon were Honu, Thor, and Bing they quickly got strong enough to take on anything we came across. And unlike most trainer who felt the need to dump all their Pokémon every time they reached a new region, I kept mine. The others have their reasons for following me. But my original three were what I started with.” “Ok then so where is this city.” Jack proceeded to give her directions to Fort Hoof where he encountered Silver. He told her that she should seek him out for the translation spell as that would help her in her search. After their plan had been set the two groups separated, and took their paths. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch 3. The Ninja and The Tuning Fox //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch 3. The Ninja and The Tuning Fox 18 hours earlier…. A Gleas woke up and was staring at the sky. She didn’t want to move, and just lay there staring at the beautiful sky above. But she realized she shouldn't do that, she knew that she had not gone to sleep outside nor on a roof top for that matter. She got to her feet, before her was a massive militaristic looking city with walls going around it. She heard a commotion just over the edge of the building she was on. She peeked over the edge, she saw a small arena with strange ponyta surrounding it. Inside of the arena she saw two of the winged ponyta engaging each other in close combat, each one wrestling for dominance over the other. She only studied it for a moment, before looking down into the alley. Gleas noticed some ropes in the alley bellow, with grace and ease the greninja jumped down scooped up the rope and fastened it over her shoulder. She looked down the alley and ran with stealthy precision away from the arena. “Have you heard the reports?” Gleas stopped and hid behind a barrel. She peeked over and saw two ponyta wearing dull grey armor, standing around the corner having a conversation. “You mean the ones about the creatures popping up everywhere yeah.” The two were obviously mares one had wings and the other one was closer to a simple ponyta. Gleas hid herself further in the shadows and listened in. They were clearly describing Pokémon and by the sound of it Gleas figured that were ever she was Pokémon at the very least were rare to the area. Another winged ponyta soon walked up to the two. Their response was immediate both their bodies went rigid and they each raised their right fore hoof across their chest. “G’morning SIR!!!” they said in unison. The other ponyta returned the motion before saying “Mornin’ girls, what are you still doing in uniform?” The mares gave him a confused look “We just got back for morning patrol sir.” The regularish ponyta replied. “Oh how thoughtless of me, all recruits are released for the day due to the confusion. So you girls have a nice day you hear." Both mares grinned wildly “YES SIR” they said before excitedly taking off down the street. Gleas saw this as an opportunity, to gather more information and followed the two mares in secret. She followed the two until they reached their living quarters which was one of many small shacks all lined in a row. Once the wingless ponyta opened the door Gleas used shadow sneak, quickly knocking out the two mares and dragged them inside. Present time Aurora looked down at the pangoro next to her and felt the urge to ask. “Pardon my forwardness Jack but I couldn’t help but ask?” Jack raised an eyebrow “Well don’t be shy I won’t bite.” Aurora smiled “Well it’s just I can see how ‘eccentric’ you are and was wondering if your Pokémon shared your tendencies?” The pangoro visibly shuddered as he clearly remembered something terrible he was not willing to share but he answered “Well I’m not one hundred percent sure if eccentric is the right word but…” he paused for a moment “I decided a long time ago that I would encourage my pokemon to be there own 'mon' so to speak and lets just say when you allow people or pokemon in this case, to develop themselves they can take interest in things you wouldn't expect.” Aurora thought it better to not continue. Desert Rose woke up to the strangest sight she could ever imagine, both her and Winter Dance were bound and gagged hanging from the ceiling. Even Winter’s wings were bound open. She had a look of horror and sympathy on her face as she stared at Rose. Rose tried to struggle to get free but halted soon when she realized her struggles only made her bindings tighter. Rose froze when she suddenly heard the sound of somepony rasping for air. Looking up she saw it was Winter, she was struggling again causing her own bindings to tighten. Rose studied Winter’s face, she had a deep pinkish tint across her pale blue muzzle, and her dark green and red mane had fallen over one of her violet eyes. Rose’s observations were interrupted when she noticed the creature out the corner of her eye. Both mare’s turned to Gleas who was watching the scene with growing enthusiasm. Though it didn't show on her face. “Gren Gren nin nin ninja Gren.” The mares looked at each other Winter gave the best shrug she could. From her bindings. Gleas realizing that neither mare could understand her, sighed. She walked over to the desk and started rummaging through it looking for some thing. Rose was panicky and was trying to protest. Winter was watching with curiosity. Gleas pulled out a piece of paper and quill. She proceeded to write on the paper. When she was done she showed the note to the mares. ‘Nod once if you can read this’ it said. Both mares again looked at each other then back to Gleas. They both nodded. Gleas turned and wrote again. ‘I am going to take of the gag if you are not quiet you will be gagged again.’ Gleas walked forward and started to remove the gag from Rose. Once the gag was off however “WHO THE BU-“Rose’s tirade was short lived as Gleas gagged her again. Gleas scribbled on the paper again and showed it to Winter ‘Any further out bursts will result in punishment ' Winter was disturbed by the smiley face and the underlined ‘punishment’. She looked at up at Rose who had an angry scowl. She turned to Gleas and nodded. Gleas then proceeded to remove the rope from her mouth. “Wha…what are you? And what do you want?” she asked almost afraid she’d receive the ‘punishment’ just for asking. Gleas turned and scribbled on more paper. ‘I am a Greninja my name is Gleas pleasure to meet you. What I want is information.’ “But we’re just recruits there can’t be any info of use that we can give you.” Winter answered but when she attempted to move her hooves the ropes once again tightened around her chest and flank causing her to release an involuntary moan. Rose stared at Winter in disbelief, who turned her head in a vain attempt to hide her now completely cherry face. The sound of scribbling caused the two to once again focus on the greninja who was holding the paper so both could see the big bold letters of ‘COMRADE’ Winter in return held her head in shame. Only to look up again by the sound of more scribbling. ‘Moving on, I want to know where we are.’ Winter stared again “you’re kidding me, you don’t know!” Gleas scribbled again. ‘You said recruits earlier and I watched you perform a salute so I’m guessing I’m in some form of military base. But beyond what I can infer that is all educated guessing.’ Rose began shaking her head violently trying to get Gleas’s attention. Gleas scribbled on the paper and showed to rose ‘You want to talk? If you promise no screaming I will take off the gag. Nod once if you agree.’ Rose nodded and Gleas once again removed the rope from her mouth. “Oh Celestia that’s better” Rose said stretching her jaw. “ok so let me get this straight you don’t know where you are?” Gleas nodded “and rather than ask someone where you are, you spy and tie two ponies up dominatrix style and interrogate them?” Gleas thought for a moment before scribbling again. ‘Seemed like a good idea at the time. And I couldn’t tell if you were hostile or not. Besides your friend is enjoying it.’ Rose turned head to face Winter. She was drooling and had a longing look in her eye. She snapped out of it when she realized she was being stared at. “What?” Rose would have facehooved if she could. “Seriously I didn’t peg you as the S&M type.” Winter smiled sheepishly. Rose shook her head vigorously “Anyway. To answer your question we are in Fort Hoof one of the guard training posts East of Canterlot. Now I’m guessing you’re one of those weird creatures that have been popping up all over the place correct?” Gleas scribbled again. ‘Not sure, last thing I remember was taking a nap and woke up here. I have seen few other Pokémon aside from you ponyta and not a single human.’ “Ok I don’t know what either of those are and its spelt p-o-n-y minus the t-a!“ Rose was struggling to cope with the current situation. Here she was talking to creature via notes while strung from the ceiling and her roommate apparently getting off on it. Anything else that could be discussed ended when the ground shook. The two ponies swayed and their bindings suddenly grew very tight. Rose screamed in pain. Winter had very different reaction, as she enjoyed it very much and it was plain to see. Once the tremor ceased they stared at each other for a good ten minutes “What…in Tartarus… was that.” Rose said recovering from the tremor. Gleas heard the commotion outside the cabin. Gleas moved faster than either pony could see. She threw her water shuriken cutting the ropes and quickly hiding the remains before making herself scarce. Both Rose and Winter promptly fell to the floor. Rose shook her head from the confusion. Then a knock came at the door. “Just a minute.” She got up and ran to the door but paused when she noticed Gleas just above the door frame holding a paper that said ‘say anything and you’ll receive punishment ’ Gleas let out an audible gulp before answering the door. “Rose are you and Winter okay, I’m running around checking on everypony after the…” the stallion stopped “what in Tartarus happened to you.” Rose looked down her dust tan coat had dark rings going up and down her body from the ropes and her scarlet red mane was a mess. The stallion then noticed Winter on the floor with similar markings and she had a very blissful wry grin. “And her. For that matter.” He paused and looked the mare he was talking to “On second thought I don’t wanna know. Well I see your fine moving on.” He then slowly closed the door, and left. Rose rolled her eyes. Gleas jumped down in front of her as she turned around “AH!!!” she screamed again looking at the greninja with scrutiny. “Don’t. do. that. please!” Gleas held up a note. ‘That “pony?” had a very large amount of malice coming from him. Why?’ Rose gulped and looked side to side then back to the greninja and sighed “it’s cuz we” she gestured to Winter “are together.” Gleas blinked and scribbled again. ‘Why would he be upset about that? And thank you for not squealing by the way.’ Rose nodded. “There are a lot of ignorant ponies and who are against same sex relationships. A good number of them unfortunately go into the guard.” she sighed. “And as for not squealing as you put it well I could’ve but then that sexist jerk would’ve gotten the credit can’t have that now can I." she said with smirk. "And besides you’re not all that bad. My talent” she turned to the side revealing her flank which had three masks on it displaying happiness, sadness and anger. “is reading other ponies emotions.” Gleas scribbled again. ‘Interesting, nice flank by the way.’ Rose facehooved. “Fillyfooler remember?” Rose stated rolling her eyes. Gleas just held up another piece of paper. ‘I’m female’ “seriously?” Gleas nodded a little insulted but let it slide. “huh still no, anyway what are you planning to do now.” ‘I need to find my friends and I’m not sure where to start.’ Winter stood up and moved to the two “you’re free to use this place until u find you’re friends, it shouldn’t be a problem as long you remain out of sight.” Winter examined the Pokémon “though I don’t see that being too hard for you. And…” her face started to blush again before she turned to Rose “if its ok with you Rose, maybe you could…. Uh… you know.” Rose stared wide-eyed at her partner “Ok one when did you find out that you liked Bondage and two why haven’t you told me before now.” Winter dug at the ground and looked away “uh well I uh I’ve always liked the ropes feel so good against my fur and being cradled in them is better than my cloud bed back home.” She drooled a little before shaking her head “And I didn’t tell because we have only just started dating a month ago I didn’t want to push you into it if you didn’t seem interested in it.” “And you’re asking now because?” “Gleas’s really knows her ropes, they felt soooo good I almost passed out when the tremor started.” “Unbelievable so you’re asking for a three some with somepony we just met and with bondage thrown in the mix?” Winter sat on her haunches and twiddled her hooves together anxiously looking around. She didn’t want to ruin her relationship with Rose but she couldn’t help it. She needed those ropes. “Yes” she finally said weekly very afraid that Rose would leave her. Rose looked down at her marefriend and sighed “Fine.” Winter bolted up right ecstatic. “YOU MEAN IT?!” Rose just nodded. Winter tackled her mate, wings unfurled pointing straight up “THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!!” she squealed, ravaging Rose with kisses. Rose wiggled out of Winter’s grasp and looked at Gleas “but only if it’s ok with our new friend here.” Gleas nodded ‘I’d love to, but I must search the city before it gets too dark so it’ll have to wait till tonight. If that’s alright with you two.’ Rose nodded then gasped “We haven’t even introduced ourselves and here we are skipping straight to third base.” She giggled. “I’m Desert Rose everyone just calls me Rose, and this horny mare is Winter Dance.” ‘It’s a pleasure to meet you both, pun intended.’ Rose laughed “Ok so there is the rule that you can’t be seen on base at all because obvious reasons everyone is stressed right now because creatures like yourself keep appearing, some incidents have already been reported. It’d be better for you, and us if you stay out of sight at least till things blow over.” ‘Easy enough I’m not called the ninja Pokémon for nothing. I’ll be back by night fall’ The Tuning Fox Outside the wall a braixen was disturbed. Because a certain Glaceon started shaking her. “Rena wake up we’re in trouble.” “Just few more minutes…” she whined. “No we need to find the others.” This got the fox pokemon up, and taking in her surroundings. She saw that she was lying in an alley and Bing was standing over her, concerned. She then proceeded to panic a little, grabbing her tail and looking it over, she gave a relieved sigh when she saw she still had her penny flute. She placed the whistle back in her tail before turning to Bing “Where are we.” Bing shook his head “No idea. I just woke up a couple hours ago. I caught your scent and rushed over here I can’t smell anyone else though.” Bing look around “be careful there are ponyta everywhere and they don’t seem to be able to understand us.” Bing started walking down the alleyway. “come on I can’t smell the others here.” “WAIT FOR ME.” Rena whined again running after Bing. The two of them navigated the city, doing the best they could to avoid the ponies. Most of the ponies were wary of them others out right terrified. The two of them continued until they reached the center of the city and chose to hide in an abandoned music store, with boarded windows and demolition notice on the door. “We should be safe here for a while I don’t think they noticed us, how are you holding up.” Bing asked while watching as a group of ponies walked by the window. When Bing didn’t get an answer he turned his head to see her bent over a box rummaging through the contents. “Rena what are yo-“ “AH…HA!!! Found it!” She yelled excitedly pulling out a small fiddle case. Bing sighed as he realized his choice in hiding spots. Rena has always been infatuated with music. And she has spent her time learning to play all kinds of instruments. Every time Jack went to a new city or city she would pester him to get a new book of instructions. Rena would keep a few smaller instruments in her tail, Bing always questioned how they stayed in there. Rena opened the case “aww dang it” she held up the fiddle. The fiddle had no strings or bow and was in pretty bad condition. Bing looked around the room they were currently in there were a lot of boxes. “Why don’t we look around maybe we’ll find a bow or at least some strings.” As the two began scowering boxes for the infamous strings and bow, Bing couldn’t but enjoy himself as he watched Rena rummage through box after box. She got excited after opening each one because for her it seemed to hold boundless treasures of broken instruments, and instruction booklets on each one. Rena suddenly sat on the ground crying. “Where’s Jack? I miss him.” tears in her eyes she was sobbing. Bing knew she was scared, she was afraid she might have been abandoned again. He also knew words were hollow at this point he looked around for something, anything that might sooth her. Music was her life line, he looked around for any instrument in decent condition. He paused when he stumbled across a single set of bongos that were in perfect condition. He strapped the bongos to his side and sat on his haunches. Rena had convinced Bing once before to try bongos and everyone was rather impressed with his abilities, but the thought didn’t hold much interest with him at the time. Using what he learned he banged a subtle rhythmic beat to which caused Rena to look up at him teary eyed. Rena watched him for several minutes just beating on the bongos with his paws. Before long Bing noticed Rena cheering up a little and he continued to play. Banging beat after Beat getting lost in his own rhythm. As she felt her spirit left she joined in by pulling her penny flute from her tail and played in rhythm to the bongos. The mixture of the two instruments was not common to be heard, but as they played a small group formed outside the shop a testament to the beauty and harmony of the two. Bing and Rena however were lost to the world playing their songs. Bing even started humming. As their duet came to an end, Rena sprung up and dived on top of Bing knocking him over. Shaking his head he stared up at the young braixen. “IKNEWITIKNEWITIKNEWIT…” She squealed in while holding him in a death hug, and nuzzling his neck. “I knew you loved music as much as me.” Bing chuckled and patted her head. “I never said I didn’t.” Bing wiped her tears away. “We need to find the others, and figure out where we are.” Bing got up moved to the window and looked out at the dispersing crowd. “We sure caused a scene didn’t we?” Out in front of the crowd was a small filly with wings holding out a small bag, trying to take credit for the performance. “Come on we need to.” Bing said still looking out at the scene. “Maybe we can find a back door.” Bing and Rena moved to the back of the shop looking for an exit. When they reached the back of the store, the sound of movement caught Rena’s eye causing her to stop and look around. Bing finally found the door he’d been looking for but a voice stopped him in his tracks. “Please don’t go” The small voice caught them both by surprise it sounded like a child. The two Pokémon started looking around for the source. “WHOSE THERE?” Bing shouted stepping in front of Rena. “…I can’t understand you.” The voice replied. “Oh I can help.” Before Bing could protest, the young braixen’s eyes glowed and connected the minds of the three of them. “Can you understand us now?” “I…that’…” the voice started. Bing tensed up, fearing the worst. What happened next he was baffling to ice type. “SOOOOO COOOOOOOOL” a blur of red jumped out and talked the two of them in a massive ursa hug. Bing blinked and looked up at his captor. It was a young cult with a red coat slitted yellow eyes and zubat wings. Bing noticed how different he was from the other ponyta he saw. His mane was short two tone black and a sky blue with a rattail pulled tight. The colt noticed his stare jumped back, trying to hide himself “I’m sorry… please don’t run… I…” Rena saw his fear and skepticism and ran forward catching him in as good an embrace as she could. “We won’t you don’t need to be scared.” The little colt sat on his haunches wrapping his wings around Rena and started crying. Rena just held him tighter. Any caution Bing felt for the foal was lost at the sight of the two. He was so enraptured by the sight he didn’t see the door open behind him. “He’s always been a little emotional.” The female voice behind him caught Bing by surprise. He turned and looked at the newcomer. It was the small filly from before and he immediately noticed the similarities between the two of them. The filly had the same coat and eye color but her wings were feathered and her eyes were normal not slitted, Also her mane was long and braded. It also sported the same colors as the colt. Her tail had a single stripe of sky blue. “Sister, they’re not scared of me!” the little colt squeald with delight. Rena jumped up landed on his back, and simultaneously nuzzled him, before connecting to his sister’s mind. The filly giggled “I see that.” She turned to the Glaceon holding the bag of bits out. “I suppose you want these.” She said, with a pout. Bing just shook his head “you keep them we have no need for monetary gain. Although…” he looked at the bongo set attached to his waste. “I would like to keep this if it’s ok with you.” The sister smiled “OK!” she said happily pulling the Glaceon into a hug. “it’s not really ours anyway.” This caused Bing to raise an eyebrow. She noticed this and continued “We’ve only been living here for a month I mean this place is abandoned so we made it our home.” Bing thought on this and looked the two over. “I see… where are your parents, if you don’t mind me asking.” The filly turned her head away from. “We don’t know, we used to stay at the orphanage but when my brother…” she looked over at the two of them playing some kind of game. That involved one trying to stay on top of another. “Developed we couldn’t stay there anymore.” Bing thought on this but realized he had hit sore subject. “I see I take it his feature’s aren’t normal then.” The filly shook her head looked at him in disbelief. “Nooo Reallly” she deadpanned. “Bat ponies aren’t liked very much here or well anywhere for that matter.” Bing noted the sarcasm. “I meant no offense we’ve only got here a little while ago and still learning.” The filly sighed “It’s okay. Sorry for snapping.” She shook her head again “oh I forgot my name’s Rise and that’s twin my brother Set.” She motioned to the little colt. “Yes my name’s Bing and little one over there is Rena.” He stopped and looked her over again. “Thank you for your hospitality and the bongos but we do need to find our friends.” Rise raised a hoof “No biggie, though I don’t think you should leave just yet there was a localized tremor behind the base and ponies are blaming the other creatures like yourself, the guard has already started to mobilize and try to capture you.” Bing thought for a moment “I see then would it be alright to stay here over night it’s getting a little late.” “Of course” Rise said “And I wanna know all about you and your kind okay?” “Sounds like a plan.” Bing smiled. Bing and Rena spent the night chatting with the foals and playing music. Rise had asked Bing all about the Pokémon and she did her best to answer his questions.
