Introduction
Dreams. We all have dreams. Either to become famous or to be rich. This boy, however, has a different dream. His dream is to lend a hand, show people kindness, and fight for what’s right in the universe. Even though he has never experienced these traits from other people, he knows these traits and how they feel.
Jet, age 15 ½, is a very kind boy. He always wore his black jeans, his red and black adidas, and that black vest with the two v-shaped red and white stripes that go from shoulder to shoulder, across his chest. At 6 feet tall, he stands alone, looking out of the windshield of his space pod, into the beautiful endless space around him.
“Computer, what day is it today?” Jet asked.
“IT IS JUNE 18TH, 2098.”
“Thank you computer.” The computer made a high-pitched beep, signaling it understood Jet’s good-bye. Jet kept staring into the beauty of space. The stars, the blackness, the nothingness. Nothing. That’s what he was back on Earth. Nobody thought he could accomplish anything, but he was ready to prove everyone wrong. Jet walked to the corner of the control deck, picked up his guitar, sat down in front of the windshield, and started playing a tune only a few may recognize.
“It’s a god-awful small affair,
To the girl with the mousey hair.
But her mummy is yelling no!
And her daddy has told her to go…”
Just then Jet notice a comet passing by his windshield. It was very shiny, and it gave off a sky blue light. Jet smiled, then continued playing. Suddenly, another comet passed by, giving off a green light. Jet was a bit startled by this sight. Two more comets passed by, both giving off a purple light. Jet put back his guitar on his stand, strapping himself in the control deck’s main seat.
“No…it can’t be…” Jet said. “A meteor shower? Strange…well, I better get out of the way before-“
CRASH!
The comet hit the right engine, bouncing off. It left a rainbow trail. Jet tried to comprehend what he just saw.
“What the…? No way!” he said, rubbing his eyes to make sure he wasn’t seeing things. “What was that? A piece of crystal?” His voice was soon drowned out by the blaring of an alarm.
“WARNING! ENGINE 002 HAS SHUT DOWN!” The computer blared.
“Damn it! I can barely steer this baby!” Jet said, struggling with the controls. “Computer, are there any planets near by?”
“THERE IS A PLANET 2973 TO YOUR RIGHT. THE AIR SEEMS BREATHABLE AND THERE IS FRESH WATER SIR!”
“Alrighty! Computer, activate the shields!” Jet squeezed his hands around the steering wheel. “I’m going to land this puppy!” Jet turned the space pod to his right. The planet looked exactly like his planet, Earth. He went into full throttle, towards the foreign planet. It was either do or die at this point.
“HHEEEERE I C-COME!!”

It was a beautiful warm summer night in Ponyville. Everywhere you could hear the crickets chirping, the fireflies giving off their glamorous natural light. Tonight was no ordinary night. Tonight there was a scheduled meteor shower to happen around 10:00 PM. Twilight Sparkle gathered up her friends, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Spike at her house to see the meteor shower with her brand-new telescope. All of them sat on the roof of her tree-like house, eating snacks and waiting patiently for the shower.
“Oh boy! I can’t wait much longer!” Twilight exclaimed. “Rarity, what time is it?”
Rarity pulled out a clock from the branches of the tree. “It’s exactly 9:59 PM dear.”
“Fantastic!” Twilight said, grinning from ear to ear.
“Uh, Twilight? What’s so special about this shower thang?” Apple Jack asked.
“Well,” Twilight explained. “Once every 100 years a special comet passes by called Spectra. This comet is known to produce the original colors of the rainbow. When it passes by, it leaves us with a beautiful rainbow trail, and a piece of this comet breaks off and lands in a clearing in the Everfree Forest. This shard is enough to produce rainbows for the next 100 years!” Everypony sat in awe.
“Wow! That sure is amazin’!” Apple Jack replied.
“Oooo! Look!” Pinkie said, pointing towards the sky. “It’s starting!”
The sky was filled with a melody of colors. Streaks of red and blue everywhere. Hints of purple and a dash of green here and there. Everypony looked into the sky, taking turns using Twilight’s telescope. Twilight noticed something shiny through her telescope. It was Spectra, the moment they’ve all been waiting for.
“Hey look! Spectra’s about to land!” Twilight said, looking through the telescope. The whole gang looked up into the sky, seeing a beautiful rainbow, and a piece of the Spectra heading towards the clearing.
“Woooow!” everyone exclaimed. The beauty of the rainbow left them in awe. But just then, something blew a hole in the rainbow. It was spherical, huge, and very silvery. It was heading for the exact same clearing the Spectra shard landed in. The only one to notice was Spike.
“Um…you guys? Look!” Spike screamed, pointing to the mysterious object.
“Oh my goodness!” Twilight said. “We need to act fast in order to save the Spectra!” Twilight’s horn started to glow. “I’ll teleport us to the clearing.” With a flash, there was nobody on the rooftop.
Twilight and her friends were standing right in front of the shard. It was peaceful, and the animals seemed to be at rest. Twilight looked up, noticing the strange object was approaching fast. She had to be quick on her hooves.
“Alright! Rainbow Dash! Get the Spectra out to the Rainbow Factory with Fluttershy!”
“I’m on it!” Rainbow Dash said. “C’mon Fluttershy! We have a job to do!”
“Um…okay.” Fluttershy replied, grabbing one side of the shard. The two pegasi lifted it off the ground, flying towards Cloudsdale. Twilight looked up at the object once again.
“Everyone else, RUUUUN!”
It was chaotic. Four ponies and a baby dragon running for their lives. Soon they hid, then the object came at an incredible speed.
CRASH!
The object from the sky landed smack-dab where the Spectra landed. Twilight peeked her head out from behind a bush.
“Apple Jack? Pinkie Pie? Rarity? Spike? Are you all okay?” She asked, looking around. Everyone stumbled out from their hiding spots, slightly dazed from the crash. They were all okay though. All of them looked at the strange object. “Um…does anyone want to be the first to inspect it?” Twilight asked,
“Heh, be my guest!” Spike said, slightly backing off.
“I’ll go!” Pinkie said, bouncing her way toward the spherical mystery.
“Be careful now, Pinkie!” Apple Jack said, a tad bit nervous. Pinkie approached the object, holding her hoof out to it.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
No reply.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Still no reply.
“Well, it looks like nobody’s home…” Pinkie said, turning away. To her surprise, a noise, like a mechanical door opening, was coming from the object. They all now knew what this object was. It wasn’t a comet, but a space pod. Pinkie turned around, noticing an opening. A tall creature with black hair, dark brown eyes, and two arms and legs crawled out of the doorway. It looked hurt. Twilight and her friends joined Pinkie to see this strange looking creature.
“…Am I dead?” The creature asked. By the deepness of his voice, the gang could tell that the creature was a boy, and he was in his teens.
“Well, if you’re talking right now, then you are alive after that massive crash!” Twilight said. “You’re very lucky to still be breathing after that crazy incident!”
The creature looked up to see who was talking. He was surrounded by four ponies and a small dragon. Seeing this, he sprang to his feet, shocked, backing away a bit.
“GAH!” The creature screamed. “TALKING HORSES!”
“Excuse me!” Rarity said, in disgust. “We are ponies, NOT HORSES!”
The creature settled down a bit. “Well that explains everything…” he said in a sarcastic tone. “Now, just who are you hor-erm, I mean, ponies?” He seemed less tense than before.
Twilight stepped closer. “Well to start off, I’m Twilight Sparkle, that’s Spike, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Apple Jack.” Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy arrived at the scene. “Oh! And that’s Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.” They all waved hi to him. Pinkie ran up to the creature and gave him a big hug.
“Nice to meet ‘chya!” She said. Her mane smelled of cotton candy. The creature did not know what to do. He just blushed. Pinkie then joined her group of friends.
“So, who are you?” Rainbow Dash asked. “And what the HECK are you?”
The creature brushed himself of the dust and the pieces of metal off of his vest. “My name is Jet Braveheart, and I am a human from the planet Earth from the Solar System. I came here due to a space exploration gone wrong. You see…” He was cut off.
“Wait, a REAL human?” Twilight asked.
“Uh, yes. Does that surprise you?” Jet asked. Twilight’s jaw nearly dropped to the ground.
“OH MY GOSH!” She exclaimed. “A real human? I can’t believe it! Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt your story.” Twilight looked at him with a gaze of amazement. “Carry on!”
“Heh, that’s okay!” Jet said. “When I was in space, some sort of rainbow comet hit the right engine of my space pod. So, I had to make an emergency landing on the closest planet near by. And that’s how I got here! Sorry if I bothered or startled any of you.”
“That’s okay!” Twilight said. “Oh, and I think I have your explanation for that rainbow comet…”
Twilight described the whole story of Spectra to Jet and how it’s used to make rainbows. “Wow! That’s amazing!” Jet said.
“I know right?” Twilight replied. “By the way, how old are you Jet?”
“I’m 15 years old.”
“My! They do age fast on your Earth!”
“My…Earth?”
“Oh, my bad. We also call our planet Earth here too.” Twilight said.
“Fascinating…” Jet said. He scanned the area. “So, where am I?”
“Well,” Apple Jack said. “We’re in the Everfree Forest right now. Outside is Ponyville, and we live in the land of Equestria!”
“Hmm…sounds nice!” Jet said. He looked down, noticing he had a huge gash in his left inner elbow. It was bleeding at a rapid pace, making Jet feel light-headed. “Quick question, is there a hospital around?”
“There’s one straight out of the forest and then in the East Side of town.” Pinkie said. “Why do you ask?”
Jet showed them the gash. They all gasped in horror. “I don’t feel…too…” Jet collapsed knees first to the ground, and then the rest of his body followed. Everyone was shocked by the sight. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy picked up Jet by the arms and legs.
“Quickly everyone!” Twiligh exclaimed. “We have to rush him to the ER!”
“But it’s too far!” Spike said. “We wouldn’t make it. The closest place is Fluttershy’s cottage.”
“Fluttershy, do you have any bandages or medicine?” Twilight asked.
“Well, yes. In fact, I have both!” Fluttershy replied.
“Okay then!” Twilight turned to face everyone, and then turned towards the path out of the forest. “Alright gang, lets move!”

“Everypony, hush! I think he’s waking up!”
Jet slowly opened his eyes, trying to adjust to the bright light. He awoken, his left arm completely bandaged up. He looked around, seeing the Mane 6. Jet started to speak.
“Oh, h-hello!” he said, smiling. “Thanks for the convenient care!”
“Anytime!” Rainbow Dash said, sounding a bit cocky.
“Twilight, does my wound have stitches?” Jet asked, unraveling the bandages slowly.
“Um, no. We weren’t sure if you needed them.” She said. Jet took off the bandage, revealing the nasty looking wound.
“Yeah, this is going to need stitches…” Jet said. “Do you have any vicryl sutures?”
Twilight’s horn started to glow a deep shade of purple. Across the room hovered a first aid kit, surrounded by a purple aura. These materials levitated into Jet’s hands, the aura fading away. Jet’s jaw dropped to the ground.
“Something wrong?” Twilight asked, looking puzzled.
“Y-You…just…w-with your horn…and…” Jet couldn’t comprehend what he just saw. Twilight giggled.
“Oh, well I’m a unicorn, so I can use my horn to cast spells and use magic.” Twilight said. Jet burst out laughing.
“HA! MAGIC? THAT’S SO AWESOME!” Jet said, taking out the necessary supplies to bind his wound together. “I wish we had that kind of magic back on my Earth.”
“What do you mean?” Twilight asked. “Don’t you have any magic where you are from?” Jet sat up.
“Well, it’s not really magic, it’s just illusions. You know, tricks of the mind. Lies…” Jet started to stitch himself up with his right hand. The ponies backed off slightly, kind of disgusted, yet shocked at the same time.
“Um, are you sure you can do that without any help?” Apple Jack asked, carefully observing the stitching process.
“Don’t worry about it.” Jet replied. “My father taught me how to do stitch wounds like this when I was 10.”
“And WHY exactly would your father teach you something like THAT, my dear?” Rarity asked.
“Well, you never know. If I was going to be an adventurer, I needed to know at least some basic survival techniques!” Jet said, continuing with his stitching.
“Wow!” Rainbow Dash said. “Are you famous on any other planets? Have you traveled through galaxies? Have you…”
“DASH!” Twilight interrupted. “Let him focus!”
“Eheh…sorry.” Dash said. “Got a little too excited.” She smiled awkwardly.
“That’s alright!” Jet said, finishing up. He bit off the excess thread from his arm, sewing the rest back together. “Ah…that feels…strangely better.” He stood up from the couch he sat upon. “Well, I better get back to my space pod to examine the damages and such…”
Fluttershy sat him down. “Oh no, you should stay here and rest. It’s dangerous to go alone!” she said, fluffing his pillow for his head. Jet lay down on the couch. Apple Jack laid a blanket across him, and Twilight handed him a book.
“The History of Equestria…interesting…” Jet said, inspecting the book.
Twilight smiled. “I thought you might like it. I mean, you are going to stay here for a while, correct?”
“Well…I guess.” Jet said. “I’m kinda stuck here, if you know what I mean.” He chuckled, looking at all of them. “You know, for being on a foreign planet and just meeting you girls, it’s been a pretty amazing experience. I want to thank you all for being so kind to me and helping me out. I’ve never had anyone be so kind to me…”
“But you’re so kind and friendly!” Pinkie exclaimed. “Why wouldn’t anybody be nice to you?”
Jet sighed. “Well…I guess you can say I was the reject of the pack. Born an only child, I had different interests than most kids. Different clothes, different personality, they all picked on me for every little thing…I just stuck out like a weed in a garden!” Jet’s voice started to sound a bit choked up, his lip slightly quivering. He looked down.
“Oh! I’m sorry!” Pinkie said. I-I didn’t mean to upset you!”
“It’s alright.” Jet looked up at her, and then smiled. “You didn’t know any better.”
Twilight cleared her throat rather obnoxiously. “Well, I think everypony should let Jet rest. It’s getting late.”
“Alrighty.” Jet said. “I’ll catch up on some reading then.”
Twilight did not disapprove this idea. “Okay! Goodnight Jet!”
“G’night partner!” Apple Jack said.
“Sleep tight!” Dash added.
“Have a pleasant rest!” Rarity said, yawning.
“See ya tomorrow!” Pinkie exclaimed, giving Jet a hug. This time, Jet blushed, giving her a hug back with his right arm. The five ponies left, while Fluttershy started flying up the stairs to her room.
“Goodnight Jet!” She said. “If you need anything, let me know!”
“Thanks Fluttershy.” Jet said, grateful. “Thank you so much for letting me stay here for the night. I really appreciate it.” He smiled. “Good night!”
She smiled, then made her way to her bedroom. Jet started to read the book Twilight lent him. He read if from cover to cover. He read about Luna and Celestia and how Ponyville was founded and the unicorns and the pegasi and basically everything about Equestria. When he finished reading, he passed out, the book lying on his face.
DREAM 1
“Hey! Look at that kid’s weird clothes!” a child from the lunchroom said. Everyone looked at where he was pointing. The finger drew attention to a boy who was wearing a leather aviator cap with goggles. Around his neck was a plaid scarf. To compliment it, he wore a long red long-sleeved shirt with a plaid design. Also, he wore green overalls, with two big yellow buttons on either side. Lastly, he bears brown dress shoes that look like they haven’t been shined in a VERY long time. He carried a metal lunch tin. All of the children laughed at him.
“Look at Jet! He looks ridiculous!” a kid said.
“He looks like he was born two hundred years ago!” another child said.
“What’s his problem?” a kid asked from the table on the right.
Jet, being only 8 at that time, didn’t know what to do. He stood there, ready to cry. “What are you a-all laughing at?” he asked.
“At your stupid clothes, you loser!” a tall boy said. Everyone started chanting. “Loser! Loser! LOOOOSER!”
Jet started to tear up. He ran out of the lunchroom, crying. He ran, ran…until he stopped in front of the gymnasium. He sat down, opened his lunch tin, and pulled out a ham sandwich. He put on his goggles over his eyes.
“I’ll show them…I’ll show them all…”

Jet woke up in a cold sweat. He sat up, looking around. Jet was still in Fluttershy’s cottage. He gave a quick sigh of relief, and then checked the clock on the wall. 7:02 AM.
“Ugh…I really need to control my flashback dreams…” Jet said, holding his head, a bit dizzy. Suddenly the front door opened. Fluttershy walked in, seeing Jet awake on the couch.
“Oh! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to wake you up…” she said nervously.
Jet chuckled softly. “You didn’t wake me up. I just had a…dream.”
“What kind of dream?” Fluttershy asked.
“A flashback.”
“Was it…good?”
Jet slowly shook his head no.
“You poor thing! Do you need me to get you anything?”
“No, I’m fine, thank you. I think I’ll just get some breakfast from my space pod.” Jet said, sitting up. “Do you mind if you can lead me to it through the forest? I don’t want to get lost…or eaten by anything.”
“E-Eaten..?” Fluttershy said, cowering in fear. Suddenly, the doorbell rang, making her jump, having a mini heart attack. The rest of the mane 6 walked in.
“Good morning everyone!” Twilight exclaimed. “How are you Jet? Did you sleep okay?”
“Fine, thank you!” Jet said. I was about to head to my pod with Fluttershy. Would you girls like to tag along?
“Of course we would!” Twilight said. “By the way, how’s your arm?”
Jet looked at the stitches. “It’s good.” He looked around. “Um…where’s Spike?”
“He’s still sleeping.” Twilight said, sighing. “Baby dragons usually need their sleep…”
“Ah, understandable.” Jet said, zipping up his vest. “Lets go!”
Jet and the gang made their way to the Everfree Forest to the clearing. Jet rushed to his pod, examining the damages made by the Spectra.
“Hmmm…scratch here…dent there…wow!” Jet said, looking at the remains of his right engine. “That’s going to need some work!” The right engine was completely destroyed. All that remained was the connection between the engine and the ship. “I wonder how the inside looks…”
Jet pulled out a remote from his vest pocket. He pushed a button, revealing a door in the space pod. A stair case extended out, and Jet climbed in. “Let me check to see if it’s safe first guys…”
The control deck was a mess. Pieces of metal and glass shards were everywhere. Jet picked up a piece of metal. It had a red rusting to it. That’s what cut his arm open. Afterwards, he checked the rest of the rooms. Everything else was unharmed, due to the shields. Most damage was exterior. “Alright guys, you’re welcomed to come in!”
Twilight and the gang slowly walked into the main foyer. All of their jaws dropped to see how big it was in the inside.
“Oh my! What a lovely ship you have, Mr. Braveheart!” Rarity said. “I simply ADORE your foyer!”
“Thanks!” Jet replied, cleaning up the control deck.
“Do you need any help in there?” Twilight asked, curious about her surroundings.
“Nah, I’m just about done here anyway.” Jet said, sweeping. “But thanks anyway!” He finished up with his cleaning session, than headed to the foyer with the other ponies. “Would you girls like a tour?”
“Sure!” the Mane 6 said simultaneously.
Jet walked them through, showing the girls the control deck, the dining room, the bathroom, the kitchen, and the guest room. The ponies walked around in awe.
“Now, here’s my favorite part!” Jet said. “Welcome to my room!” He opened the door, and was greeted by a gigantic room filled with tons of cool stuff. On one wall was filled with different kinds of posters of bands and video games. The other wall had a dresser with a ton of stuff on top and different kinds of instruments surrounding it. There was a king-sized bed with a blanket and two pillows on the third wall with pictures on it. On the ceiling was a painted portrait of space. To finish it off, there was a big window directly across from the bed, looking outside. It was a magical sight to see.
“Wow!” Pinkie said. “You sure do play a lot of instruments!” She pulled out an electric guitar. It was a cherry-red Fender Stratocaster.
“Oh! Please be careful with that! It’s the first guitar I’ve ever gotten!” Jet said.
“Ooo! What’s that?” Rainbow Dash asked, pointing to a leather aviator hat with goggles.
“That’s my adventure hat.” Jet said. “When I was younger, I used to wear this everywhere I went. Sure, it may look funny wearing this in public, but hey, it gave me confidence. It still fits me too!” He took it off of its stand, and then put it on, goggles over his eyes. “See? Fits like a glove!” Jet chuckled. They all laughed.
“Wow Jet, I would have never guessed you were into so many things!” Twilight said.
“Yeah.” Jet said. “I never had friends, so finding out about things and getting into them was all I had.
The 6 ponies gasped. They couldn’t believe their ears. Jet, having no friends! IMPOSSIBLE! That’s just plain sad.
“Why don’t you have any friends?” Rarity asked.
“Rarity!” Twilight exclaimed. “You don’t just ask somebody about that! It’s impolite!”
“It’s okay Twilight.” Jet said. “I think you all need to know why…” Jet sat on his bed. The ponies gathered around him in a semi-circle. They seemed to be paying attention.
“Yay! Story time!” Pinkie yelled. Jet chuckled.
