Sometimes, it's really difficult to describe when we are truly close to someone. We can be very near the same person for year after year and yet never feel that spark, that urge to want to be with them in any real or meaningful way. But then, every once in a while, you come across a person that you do feel that way towards. A person you want to be with no matter what. A person you cannot bear to be apart from, even for a second. A person you love. A smile creeps onto your face as you lay there in your bed, thinking to yourself that, despite whatever forces might conspire to stop it from happening, you managed to find just such a person. Naturally, you are greatly thankful to whatever deity or circumstances wished for you to have such a person in your life, but in this moment, you were simply content to smile about it. A creak alerts you to movement to your side, and you turn your head to see who it is. The light coming in from outside your room outlines her shape, and your smile widens.
At first glance, a stranger would probably mistake this woman for an Amazon of legend, given how tall and muscular she was. But to you, this was no battle-hardened warrior, regardless of her appearance. No, to you, this was simply one of the most loving and good-natured people you had ever met in your life. Applejack. She smiled as she looks at you, a face that sends warm feelings coursing through you, and soon she makes her way towards your bed. You watch her carefully as she lifts the cover and slips in, mere inches from where you are lying down. The two of you are here now, together, simply staring into each other's eyes, smiling in the way that only two people in love can truly do. Raising a hand, you gently caress the side of her face, and she closes her eyes and lets out a contented sigh at your touch. There is simply no other word for it but "intimacy". Every instinct in your body demands you remain with her here for as long as possible, and while Applejack does not speak up, you can tell from the look in her eyes as she opens them that she feels exactly the same.
The circumstances that brought the two of you into each other's lives feels like another lifetime, as if it was another person experiencing it. For you could not imagine your life without this wonderful woman in it. Honest and hardworking. Strong and confident. Caring and friendly. All these and more could be used to describe the woman who now shared your bed, and every one of them would be right. But even so, there were moments, however brief, when you felt that you alone knew her better than anyone else in the world could ever hope to. You loved her, that much was certain, and you loved everything about her. The way she could make friends within moments of meeting them. The way she put every ounce of herself into everything she did. The way she never felt the need to change herself to make others happy. There were those who called her "simple", as if to mean it as an insult. But to you, that was not what Applejack was. To you, she was simply open about who and what she was.
Your eyes drifted from her face down to her body, or at least what you could see of it through the sheets of your bed. You saw her simple sleeping attire of black shirt and orange underwear, something you were not above saying was appealing to look at. Smiling to yourself, you couldn't help but feel that she was one whose attractiveness was something that only you truly appreciated. To many who saw her, Applejack was not the kind of woman most people thought of when they hear the word "beautiful". They never called her unattractive or anything, but the standards of most did not hold her as anything special. They called her "plain", in much the same way that they used the word "simple". But as before, you knew better. Granted, she did not have the grace of someone like Fluttershy, or the boundless and contagious energy of Pinkie Pie, or the bold and striking looks of Rainbow Dash, the refined glamour of Rarity or even the quiet beauty of Twilight. But in her own way, at least in your eyes, she was the most beautiful of them all.
Your hands travel downwards, stroking the side of her body. With every moment you feel the muscles on each part of her. To you, that meant strength. This was a woman who worked, and whose body had reaped the rewards of it. The tan of her skin told the very clear story that her realm was the outdoors. It was where her talents lay and where she did the most good. Even as you reach her hand, taking it into your own, you feel the callouses there, the tell-tale signs of honest labour. Glancing upwards, you see her sandy blonde hair, which once again, you knew few appreciated. So what if she didn’t style it like other women? So what if she was content to leave it as it was? It was how she wanted it, and that was all you needed to see it as something gorgeous. As smile once more creeps onto your face as you lean in, looking at every single adorable freckle on her face, feeling tempted to actually count them all, for the sake of curiosity if nothing else. Though, you knew better than to use the word "adorable" right to her face.
Surprise is what you feel next as you notice Applejack hold your hand and carefully guide it downwards, so now it was placed gently upon her thigh. A slight blush appears on your cheeks, but only for a brief moment. Now, the look you bore was one of amorousness, as was hers. You moved slowly, stroking up and down her thigh with great care. It was a movement that caused her once again to close her eyes and let out a sigh of contentment. Smiling at this reaction, you move upwards slightly, reaching behind and feeling her toned rear, which earned you a rare giggle from her. Time passed and your hand moved ever upwards, stroking along the side of her body, up to her shoulder, and then finally resuming it's former placed at the side of her face. Her eyes opened and you see that which you looked forward to seeing every time you looked at her. Those sparkling green eyes, like precious emeralds. You inch closer to her, and Applejack moves in kind, intertwining her legs with yours as your bodies press against each other.
Your faces are a mere inch away from each other now, and you can hear her gentle breathing, but know deep down that, like yourself, her heart is racing. She gives you that smile you fell in love with, and leans in close, placing her lips upon yours. In moments, you return the kiss, wrapping your arms around her and holding her close. The woman's strong arms are now around you also, and in this moment, you feel as if they rest of the world didn't matter. All you cared for in this instant of time was her, and being with her. You didn't know how much time had passed since your lips first touched, but you didn't care. The warmth you felt from her was, to you, the most joyous and blissful feeling you had ever known, and one you knew was something to be cherished. However, as the old saying goes, all things come to an end, and you soon broke apart from her. Nevertheless, she still kept that same warm and loving expression, as did you. In this moment of intimacy between you, she leaned in, speaking in a hushed tone, saying the only words that truly mattered to you.
"Ah love you."
And like everything else, you knew she was being honest about that.
