Celestia sat in her chair with a scowl on her face. The other leaders doing the same, all of them glaring at the empty seat in between the Griffon king and Zebra Shamen. The minotaur lord snarled and slammed his fist into the table.
“That damn bug better show up, this is her only chance to bare a conference and she dares stand us up!” His voice boomed and the diamond dog boss growled in agreement. Celestia sighed and was about to call an end to the meeting when the door burst open.
They all turned to the door and all gasped at what they saw. Standing there was not Queen Chrysalis. The Changeling was taller than Celestia herself, her purple mane was long and flowed down her slender neck.
Her chitin was pure black and her eyes were slit and were surrounded by a pool of pink. Instead of a tail of purple, there was a long scorpion tail with barbs that surrounded the long stinger. Then they noticed her guards, or lack of.
She only had two guards. One was just like her, only smaller and its tail was shorter but the shocking part was it had two scorpion tails and its eyes were a solid pink. both of their legs had holes in them and bug like wings.
Then there was her other guard. It was covered head to toe in black chitin armour but instead of a changeling, it was a bipedal creature with five fingers that stretched from its hands. It was as tall as Celestia and its armours helmet had two slits that showed two glowing pink eyes.
On its back was a black metal crossbow with pink flame looking drawings on the handle and bow. On each of its hips was a jagged dagger with pink handle and black blade. It also had a crow on its shoulder that glared at the leaders with coal black eyes.
The changeling guard flew in the air and sticking to the ceiling and looking down at all the others. The biped walked with the Changeling Queen who took her seat, making the Zebra and Griffin scoot a bit away.
“Greetings everyone.” She spoke in a multi toned voice. Some of the leaders jumped at hearing her voice. “My name is Empress Serket.” She then pointed to the changeling on the ceiling. “He is General Thorax.” And finally she pointed to the creature behind her. “And he is Scorpio.”
“Greetings Empress Serket.” Celestia greeted with a smile but she noticed the one called Scorpio looking straight at her with his glowing pink eyes that somehow made her skin crawl. “I am Princess Celestia.”
“I am King Steelbeak.” The Griffin introduced. He had dark brown feathers and tan fur.
“I Diamond Cruncher.” The Diamond dog growled out. He was a germane shepherd with a black suit on.
“Julin is my name.” The zebra shamen spoke. She had golden rings on her legs and neck with one in her ear.
“And I am Lord Bullhorn.” The minotaur boomed. He was gray furred and very built.
Serket gave a small smile and bowed her head lightly. “”Now, I was told you all had some words for me, though I don’t see what they would be.” Celestia grew a dark look and cleared her throat.
“It is about the attack on my kingdom that I call you here. I want to know why you would order one of your queens to attack me.” Celestia spoke in an accusing voice. Serket looked at Celestia for a second before giving a small giggle.
“Celestia, I have ordered no attacks.” She said with a small smile. Celestia cocked an eyebrow and Steelbeak spoke in a poison filled voice.
“Do not lie Empress, you are the only one who could order a queen and the one named Chrysalis said it herself that she was a queen.” When he said Chrysalis, Sekret grew a small frown and made clicking sounds to Scorpio.
“Oh dear, it seems she once again is causing trouble.” Serket said with a small amount of disappointment. Scorpio let out a deep throated growl and pulled out his crossbow and put a bolt made of emerald into the crossbow.
He then bent over to Serket and made a few clicking sounds and she sighed before shaking her head and making the same clicking sounds. Scorpio let out a snarl but put his crossbow away. Julie tilted her head in confusion.
“What is it that you two spoke in?” She asked and Sekret looked over at her and smiled.
“We were speaking in my native tongue. Its the only language he understands.” Serket explained and the Julie nodded in understanding. “All I will say is he has a very bad history with Chrysalis.”
“I see.” Celestia mumbled, then louder she spoke, “So he can’t understand us?”
“He can not.” Serket confirmed. Serket’s tail raised and rubbed his face and Scorpio batted at it with a small hiss causing Serket to give a small laugh. The others in the room rolled their eyes at the playful empress and Diamond Cruncher spoke.
“What do you plan to do with the bug queen?” He asked with a growl. Serket looked over at him and gave him a sweet smile before answering the diamond dog.
“Nothing.”
The room went deadly silent that you could hear a pin drop. Then there was a loud bang and they looked over to see Celestia with her hoof on the table and glaring heatedly at the Empress. “What do you mean you will do nothing!?” She yelled.
“Exactly as I said.” Serket said calmly while Scorpio raised his crossbow a bit higher. “ She is not my responsibility. She has been exiled and is not a Queen of my hive, but a liar. We changelings are the best at lying after all.”
“Then explain how she was able to get an army of them to attack us.” Celestia said through gritted teeth.
“She is of royal blood, the Bitter family line has served at creating bitter changelings. She must have been able to lay larva to create her own faction. So she is no longer in my hive or my problem.” Serket explained and said the last part with a small grin.
“And what is stopping us from attacking her?” Bullhorn asked with a clenched fist.
“Nothing, I never said I would do anything if you did attack her.” She said with a shrug.
“So you would let your own kind be slaughtered?!” Steelbeak roared in anger.
“She is a traitor. We do not care for traitors.” They heard a deep voice hiss and they looked up to see Thorax glaring down at the griffon king.
“It is no surprise that bugs would act like bugs.” Bullhorn sneered and was met with a glance from Serket who gave him a small frown.
“Thats not very nice Bullhorn, what would Julie think of you saying that?” She said and he sputtered with his cheeks a bright red and Julie's eyes widened. “Always act kind when around a mare, Bullhorn.”
Thorax gave a small chuckle and Scorpio looked up at Thorax who let out a few clicks and Scorpio gave a small laugh. “Now, is there anything else? Or my I return to my hive?” Serket asked.
“No...that will be all.” Celestia said with a small glare. “This meeting is over.”
‘but you Serket, have just brought upon the wrath of the sun.’
