The temperature was a bit low, but that wasn't too surprising for the middle of fall. Most ponies were snug in their homes, unaware that things weren't quite right with the world around them. What was wrong, nopony cold really say, but a certain alicorn princess was on the case looking through a tome. "Spike, I need you to take a message to Princess Celestia!" Twilight Sparkle called out, currently reading a book. It was a book on ancient legends, and she'd found it in the library of her new castle, where she now was, and what she had found was quite alarming. "Coming Twilight!" Spike called out from his spot in the kitchens. He had been washing the supper dishes after Twilight had invited her friends over for supper. It wasn't too surprising that he could hear her either, since the acoustics in the castle were great. So great in fact that you could probably have heard Fluttershy whisper in one room at one side of the castle from the other, although that was likely an exaggeration. A few minutes went by as he made his way to the library. He had to admit, it was a nice change living in a castle instead of a treehouse library, even if he did miss the library. Although that was in the past, as the library had been destroyed in the battle against Tirek six weeks ago. "Okay, I'm here!" Spike called out cheerfully once he reached the library and had gone inside. Twilight was glad to see him too as she turned to him. "Okay Spike, take a message." she said gladly as the young dragon took out a quill and parchment. "Dear Princess Celestia, it has come to my attention that an ancient evil is beginning to awaken. That's what I read in the book of ancient legends. We need your help to figure out what to do to deal with it." she dictated as she remembered what she had read. Ten thousand years ago, and evil sorcerer held all of Equestria in his foul grasp. All until a group of brave ponies led by the hero Night Blaze went up against him. It was a terrible battle, but in the end, they defeated the sorcerer, but were unable to kill him. Instead, they split his spirit into seven pieces and put each piece into an orb before scattering the orbs across Equestria. They then began searching for a way to eliminate the sorcerer for good and soon learned they needed a special medallion, but they were ultimately killed off by the sorcerer's followers before they could retrieve it. Those followers swore to gather the orbs and resurrect the sorcerer no matter how long it took. It is said that when they finally succeed in gathering the orbs, an evil power will begin spreading across the land as they await the day that the time will be right for the ressurection ceremony to take place. "Okay, got it down!" Spike exclaimed now before rolling up the parchment and sending it to Princess Celestia with a burst of dragon flame. It took a few minutes, but soon, Spike coughed up a reply from the princess in the form of another parchment. Twilight then took it and opened it up before she began reading it. It read: Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle, Yes, I've felt it too and I know of the legend that you speak of. I've felt it too. The orbs have definately been gathered. I do know the location of the medallion needed to destroy the sorcerer for good, but the place it's located in is very dangerous and very far away, so I'll need you to come here with the other elements of harmony so that you can all go on a quest to retrieve the medallion. We'll need it if we're to have any chance of stopping the sorcerer's resurrection. Please hurry. Your mentor and friend, Princess Celestia "We'll need to gather our friends." Twilight told Spike after reading the reply letter from Princess Celestia. "We're going on an adventure." she added. The thought filled her with a bit of excitement too, as she'd soon be going on an adventure like all the heroes did in all the adventure books that she liked to read. Spike was elated at the news too, as he had to admit that it tended to get a bit boring being stuck in the castle so much. The next thing Twilight said burst his balloon though. "Spike, I'll need you to look after the castle while I'm away." she said to the dragon cheerfully before leaving the library. Awwww." Spike sighed out disappointedly at that news, although he had to admit that Twilight was right. Somepony had to look after the castle while she was away. Once Twilight was out of her castle, the first place that she headed to was Sugar Cube Corner. After all, Pinkie Pie worked there and it was the closest place to her castle. Once she got there and got inside, she was a bit surprised to see the place empty except for Pinkie Pie. Considering what it was like outside though, she couldn't really blame anypony. "Hi Twilight! What can I get for you?" the pink party pony called out cheerfully upon seeing her friend. "Well, we've been summoned to the castle by Princess Celestia to deal with an issue." Twilight told her in reply, walking over to her and showing her the letter. "Ah, I've noticed it too. There's a general air of misery and doom about town, and if that medallion can help fix it, then count me in!" Pinkie Pie told Twilight in a determined tone, giving her a military salute. The two friends then left Sugar Cube Corner to gather the other elements of harmony, unaware that they were being watched by magical means through a crystal ball. "Should we be worried?" one of the onlookers asked the other watchers. "No. They'll never get the medallion in time to stop us." a shadowy figure sitting on a throne hissed out. "You're right. Those two do look quite tasty though." a third snakelike figure said hungrily. "All in due time. Once they're all together, Zerue will capture them and bring them here to us. You can then eat them." a fourth figure replied. Author's Note This is my first ever story on this site, so please tell me what you think of it. I have a lot of plans for this story, and it'll be very exciting. That's what I'm hoping anyway. If there's any way you think I can improve, please let me know. Pinkie Pie asked Twilight excitedly now, already calculating all the supplies that they would need. There was sleeping bags, food, water, weapons, and various other things that she could think of as the two friends walked down the street. "Hmmm, I think Rarity is the best one to visit next." Twilight told Pinkie Pie. Considering that The Carousel Boutique was the closest place to Sugar Cube Corner where another of the Mane 6 could be found, it made sense. ""Good thinking." Pinkie Pie replied with a nod of agreement. She respected Twilight's decisions. Well, most of them anyway. There were times when Twilight made the wrong decisions, like the time with the want it need it spell. Although that was true of most ponies. Even she'd made a few mistakes in her life, like with the mirror pond and not remembering her own birthday that one time. Both were times that Pinkie Pie didn't like to remember. A few minutes later, the two of them made it to Rarity's workplace, the Carousel Boutique. Twilight was the one to knock on the door, but to the surprise of the two friends, Sweetie Belle was the one to answer the door. "Hi, is Rarity in?" Twilight asked her hopefully. "Sorry. She went into the Everfree Forest to search for a special plant that can be made into a rare cloth." Sweetie Belle replied apologetically to Twilight. "Ah, the zetibar plant." Twilight nodded in understanding now. She remembered about said plant from a field guide to the Everfree Forest. According to the guide, the zetibar plant's stalk could be woven into beautiful visern fabric. It was then that she remembered about yet another plant that lived in the Everfree Forest. It was called the Creeping Vine Trap and tended to catch unsuspecting ponies with its vines. It would then rape and anal rape them before gobbling them up whole. "Well, we'll go find her then." Twilight said to Sweetie Belle cheerfully but a bit worriedly now as her and Pinkie Pie start off for the Everfree Forest. She didn't want to alarm Sweetie Belle, as the plant in question was quite rare, but she didn't like the thought of Rarity meeting up with it. Unknown to them, however, something was afoot in the Everfree forest... "Hmmm, that plant should be around here somewhere." Rarity said in an annoyed tone now. She'd been looking for it for an hour or so now, but was no closer to finding it, and it was beginning to annoy her a bit. She was starting to wish that she'd asked for Twilight's help in finding the plant now. What she was unaware of was some vines headed towards her. Well, she was unaware of the vines until one of the wrapped around her right rear leg. The unicorn quickly tried getting her leg free, but while she was successful, more vines crept out of the surrounding forest to wrap around Rarity's beautiful body. As a result, it was getting to be a bit tougher for her to move now as more and more vines wrap around her. Soon, she found movement to be impossible. Needless to say, she was really getting worried. "Erg, this can't possibly get any worse." she grunted out now as she began struggling to get free of the vines, although they were wrapped around her body too tightly unfortunately for her. It was then that she was proven wrong and the situation did indeed get worse. It did so thanks to a vine that began to probe Rarity's pussy much to her humiliation, causing her to blush heavily. Luckily for them, the plant hadn't realized that they were here yet. "Pinkie Pie, you try pulling Rarity out while I try distracting the plant." Twilight said to Pinkie Pie, thinking quickly now. The pink party pony nodded now before grabbing Rarity's tail in her teeth and pulling, hoping to get Rarity free as Twilight conjures a small flame that she places on the plant, catching it on fire. She then began concentrating on controlling the small fireball to stop it from spreading or burning Rarity. Luckily, with her experience in magic, doing so was pretty easy, and it had the desired effect too, casing the pod to release its grip on the fashion pony and flail its vines around, allowing Pinkie Pie to get Rarity out of the pod as they tumbled a bit afterwards. Luckily, this woke Rarity up too. Twilight put out the fire once Rarity was free and she ran to her and Pinkie Pie and helped both of them up. "I suggest we get out of here now." Twilight told the two of them in an urgent tone now, knowing that if they were around when the plant stopped flailing its vines about, there was a possibility that it could catch all three of them, and they'd be in deep trouble if that happened. Both of her friends quickly nod in agreement now before all three of them dash off out of reach of the plant's vines. It took them only a few minutes to find the path too, and once they did, they headed out of the Everfree Forest.
