The Story of Maverick Thunder
Chapter 1
"Hey dipweed, you gonna fight back or not you."
That phrase from the average high school bully was very common to me. I wasn't the biggest, strongest, or most confident kid in my grade, so that made me a easy target. Today, however, I decided to man up a bit and do something.
I glance at the two huge kids, who are looking down on me, and thought to myself, These guys may be bigger and stronger than me, but their size will be their downfall. I slowly shifted my body into fighting stance without them noticing.
"You gonna do something or not dipshit. We don't got all d......" but before he could finish, I did a quick punch to his stomach.
The bully opposite of him slightly dropped his jaw in complete shock on what just happened. That look on his face is priceless. A small smirk formed at the thought.
After a few moments, the bully recovers from my punch. I look at his face when he starts getting and nearly shit myself. His face was a angry red with a facial expression of I'm going to murder you. Realizing that I have just signed my death certificate, I quickly say with a hint of fear, " Well... Thanks and all but it's getting late and I need to get home soon. So..... bye!" After saying that, I complete turn tail and haul ass out of the area.
"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE RAT!", I glance over my shoulder to see him and his buddy running like rabid dogs after me. Seeing this only makes me run a heck of a lot faster. I ran around a corner of building trying to get away, but to no avail. They were still in hot pursuit and gaining ground FAST! I weave through two garbage cans hoping to slow them, yet they were still after me.
"We are soooo going to kill you when we catch you" shouts the bully with a murderous tone. I completely go pale in the face when I heard that. I tried speeding up hoping to create a bigger gap between me and certain death. My body, however, wouldn't allow it. My sides started to cramp and my breathing turned from a steady pace to panting.
Well, I am about to officially die. Just as I completed that thought, my foot got snagged on a piece of trash and I fall over immediately. "Fuck", I say under my breath. The bully and his friend catch up and look down on me. My face showed complete terror while I was trying to comprehend on what would happen next. The bully had a big evil smile and his eyes were full of hate. Both his fists were clenched tight as he walks towards me. I gulp nervously.
That could have been worse
After a um... very intense beatdown by the bully, I was lucky to still be alive. If his buddy hadn't decided to intervene, I would dead. He probably thought that I had enough or he didn't want his friend going to jail for murder. Either way, I was happy he did. After they left my badly bruised and bleeding body, I got up and left like nothing happened. Just a another typical day for me... again. I decided to go through the forest before heading home. I always loved being in nature all my life. The woods were like my sanctuary from everyday life and I was at peace there.
After walking for a bit, I sat down and lay up against a tree. I look down in complete disappointment and whisper, "I can't believe this keeps happening to me"
My mind starts to analyze on what could have caused this to keep happening. A few minutes pass when my mind suddenly locks in on the one reason why: I'm a Brony.
I became a Brony about a year ago after watching a episode of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. My curiosity was what made me watch it. I have heard about it before and but only after a rough day at school I decided to watch a episode. At first I thought it was too girly, but then I slowly started to like more and more. I became a instant fan after that episode and watched all the seasons in one night. I was a closet Brony for a long period of time until a former friend of mine spilled the beans about my interest. The bullies and trolls descend upon me in a heart beat. I was called names, laughed, beat up, and harassed none stop. My heart still aches at the thought. I managed to pull through was because of one my characters from the show: Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash was my favorite pony out of the Mane Six. She's confident. She's loyal. She's brave. She's cool. These were all the things I wanted to have, but sadly didn't. When I was feeling down I would think about her to help lift my spirits.
My eyes slowly water up at all the thoughts that I am processing.
"My life completely sucks!"
I begin to sob. Tears flow down my cheeks as my sobbing intensifies.
"I wish I...... can just leave.... this horrible place FOREVER!" I said in a trembling voice. My tears are flowing like rivers and I am crying uncontrollably.
When I said that, a small flicker of lights start to form in front of me. The light continues to grow and get brighter. I look up to investigate what the light was coming from and my eyes lock on to the glowing orb only a few feet in front of me. I had never seen anything like that in my entire life. Suddenly, a bright flash of light explodes from the orb. I cover my eyes from the bright light. I attempt to look back at the orb to see a what had happened. As I stare into the orb, I see a blurred image of what looks like a open field. At that moment, I feel something me pulling towards the orb. I begin to panic. "What the fuck is happening!", I yell in panic. I try to fight it, but with no luck. As I am pulled deeper into the orb, I begin to feel a intense burning sensation throughout my body.
I'm going to die I'm going to die!
As I am completely pulled in, I felt like my whole body was on fire and the pain was the worst I had ever felt. With another flash of light, it's all over. The burning sensation. The pain. It was all gone. My body felt sore, my mind was dizzy from the ordeal, and my sight was still blurry.
Ugh...Where the Hell am I
As I try to get myself up, I try to rub my head hopeful that it would help calm this headache. Strange. I can barely feel my fingers. Come to think of it, I can't feel either set. I lower my hand to make a startling realization: I don't have any fingers! Imagine that episode of King of the Hill, when the crew goes to the lawnmower convention and Boomhauer tries the virtual lawnmower. He accidentally cuts his virtually fingers. Well, my reaction was the same.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHH I AIN'T GOT NO FINGERS!"
I barely even cared when I noticed my white skin was gone and replaced with smooth light brown fur. I was horrified at the, no words could express.
I snap out of it to investigate the rest of my body. I look down at my feet to find that they were hooves now. The discover wasn't as bad as the fingers, but was still creepy. I felt something tingle on my back and I tried to scratch it. I immediately froze once I felt what it was. It was a pair of wings.
Wait... I have wings now. If I add up all the strange things that have happened to me, it would come out to be that I have become...
I stop mid-thought at the realization of what I am.
"I am.... I am....", struggling to speak. I collect myself to finally say.
" I am Pegasus Pony"
Surprisingly, I wasn't that shocked to be honest. I mean it could be a lot worst. Trust me I have been through worse. I tried to stand my hooves. I wobble, a bit trying to get my balance. After I get my balance, I start to walk slowly. I begin looking for something reflective so that I can see myself fully. I wanted to check out my new features. After searching a bit, I found a small puddle of water. I look into the water and see my reflection. I was kinda shocked at what I saw. My mane had a shaggy style and the color was dark blond with a streak of light blue in it. My wings were the same color as my body expect the tips of each feather were dark blonde like my hair. I actually liked the new me for some reason. As I investigate my new body, I notice something strange on my flank. Upon further inspection , my eyes grew huge at I saw. I didn't believe it at first glance, but I had no doubt what it was. On my flank, was Cutie Mark.
It was a white shield with a yellow lighting bolt in the center. On the left side of bolt was sword and on the right was a olive branch. It was one badass Cutie mark in my opinion.
But something clicked in my brain that made me realize the meaning of all this. There was only one place where all these things could happen. My mouth dropped a bit at the realization of where I'm at.
After I collected myself, I finally said something, "Oh shit, I'm in Equestria!"
