SonicRainboom, Dumbbell and Party Plans

I heard Rarity scream as her wings that Twilight had made for her were burnt to a crisp and she plummeted towards the ground. My mind started to race as I flew high into the sky and started to fly as fast as I could to save my friend.
"You've got to be kidding me!" I exclaimed as I saw Rarity flailing about, too busy screaming and not paying attention when a few of the Wonderbolts went to rescue her. She ended up knocking out a few of them on the way down.
I started to fly as fast as I could towards Rarity and the Wonderbolts, I could feel my wing muscles straining to keep up with my fast pace. I just ignored the feeling in my wings and continued trying to rescue Rarity and the Wonderbolts. My hair was flying all over the place and getting in my face.
“Ugh, should have tied it up in a ponytail,' I said to myself as I spit hair out of my mouth. I noticed that as I kept going faster and faster a cone was forming around my hooves.
I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open as they started to water. I heard a really loud boom as I caught Rarity and the Wonderbolts, I then looked behind me and saw a very beautiful rainbow.
"Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh," I squealed to myself as I flew over the arena. I could hear ponies screaming and yelling from below.
"She did it! A Sonic Rainboom!" Fluttershy screamed. I saw Twilight, Applejack and Pinkie Pie jumping up and down cheering.
"And they said I couldn't do it!" I said out loud, looking over to Dumbbell, Hoops, and Score. I landed on the clouds and a few pegasi took Rarity and the Wonderbolts. I shook my mane and flapped my wings a bit.
"Oh, Rainbow Dash, thank you so much for saving me. I'm sorry I was trying to be the star of the show when it was your turn," Rarity said looking at me apologetically.
I smiled at her and hugged her tightly.
"It's okay, Rarity. I'm just glad you're okay," I said, smiling at my friends.
They said goodbye and left on Twilight’s hot air balloon. I waved at them and turned to see Dumbbell, Hoops, and Score in front of me. I couldn't help but glare daggers at them, even though they managed to be nice for most of the competition.
"Hey Rainbow Crash," Hoops said to me. I saw Dumbbell elbow him hard in the ribs and clear his throat.
"It's Rainbow Dash, Hoops. you did amazing out there, Rainbow Dash. Do you want to hang out with us?" Dumbbell asked quietly.
I couldn't help but smile as the guys who used to bully me back in the day were finally starting to be nice to me. I decided it wouldn't hurt to hang out with them, since the Wonderbolts were still out cold from Rarity kicking them.
"Yeah, why not?" I smiled, walking to the edge of the clouds and flying high into the sky. I started to do loops and twists in the air. 'Man, my wings are killing me,' I said to myself as I started to slow down a bit. I looked up and saw that Dumbbell looked back at me and he had this weird look in his eyes. I didn't know what to call it, but I just pretended I didn't see anything.
"Hey, you guys go ahead to Ponyville. We'll catch up with you," Dumbbell said.
I stopped on a nearby cloud, I flopped onto it and laid there for a minute to catch my breath. As I relaxed into the soft fluffy cloud, I took a deep breath. It smelled so fresh and clean. I couldn't help but smile to myself. That is one thing I loved about my house. It always smelled fresh and clean.
"Rainbow? Are you okay?" Dumbbell asked quietly, sitting next to me.
I looked up at him and gave him a weak smile, shaking my head.
"Um, yeah, I think so. I just needed to rest my wings. I could feel my wing muscles straining to keep up with my pace earlier," I said, stretching my wings out wide and flapping them a little bit.
I felt a pair of hooves on my wings and I started to tense up from Dumbbell's touch.
"Dumbbell, what are you doing!?" I asked, a little startled by what he was doing and not really sure how to act.
"I'm just giving you a massage to make your wings feel better. Now stop being so tense," Dumbbell said, blushing a little.
I nodded, blushing as well as I looked away from him. My wings were really feeling a lot better as he gave me a wing massage. After the massage and talking for a while, Dumbbell and I decided to continue flying to Ponyville.
"So, Hoops and Score came up with an idea to throw you a party for winning the Best Young Flyers competition. I hope that's okay. I've heard how much you like to party," Dumbbell said smiling at me.I smiled back. "Yes! I'm all for parties. I have to ask Vinyl Scratch to DJ and Pinkie Pie has to be part of the planning as well," I said.
Dumbbell smiled back at me as we landed in Ponyville. I started to head over to Sugarcube Corner. I was already excited to party the night away.
"Pinkie Pie, we're partying tonight! Be prepared for one hell of a night!" I yelled as I saw the pink pony pop into sight.
"Did somepony say party!?" Pinkie Pie shouted, hopping around happily.
I laughed at my friend as we walked over to Vinyl Scratch's house to ask her if she wanted to DJ tonight. Dumbbell went to find Hoops and Score. I smiled to myself as I hovered above the ground and started to hum.
"Finally," Pinkie Pie said, happily bouncing towards Vinyl's house.
I laughed as I trotted towards the door. I knocked on the door and waited. Vinyl opened the door, smiling at us happily
"Hey guys, what's happening?" Vinyl Scratch asked.
"So Pinkie Pie, Dumbbell, Hoops, Score, and I wanted to throw a party tonight for me winning Best Young Flyers competition," I said.Vinyl smiled huge as she hopped up and down a few times.
"Yes! Party time!" she said high hoofing me.
Pinkie Pie said she was heading off back to Sugarcube Corner to make a cake and cupcakes for the party. I waved goodbye to her as I decided to visit Sweet Apple Acres to see what Big Mac and Applejack were up to. Hovering and twirling around in the sky on my way to the farm, I felt a sharp pain in my wing.
"Ouch," I said out loud as I fluttered to the ground and trotted the rest of the way to the farm to give my wings a rest.
I smiled when I saw a certain red stallion pushing barrels around.
"Yes! Apple cider and I hope it's Big Mac's special batch that has alcohol in it," I said to myself as I walked over to him to see what he was doing and where he was taking that Apple cider.
"Hey Big Mac!" I said, happily bumping hooves with him and sitting next to him as he finished rolling a fifth barrel onto the little trailer he was going to take somewhere - hopefully my party.
"Is that a special batch of apple cider for my party?" I asked wiggling my eyebrows, making Big Mac laugh loudly at me.
"Well my dear Rainbow Dash, yes this is a special batch o' mine and it's fer yer party. I hope you'll enjoy it tonight," Big Mac said while getting himself hooked up and started to head out.
I waved to him and ran into Applejack who was making apple pies.
"Oh, you better hope Soarin isn't there or he's going to eat all of these delicious apple pies," I said, laughing.
Applejack scoffed at me and laughed a little. "I'd smack his hooves so fast b'fore he even got one," she said as she continued to work hard on her pie.
I talked with her for a while before I told her I was leaving to get ready for the party. Tonight was going to be the best night ever and the party of the year. I flew to my house and my wing still had a sharp pain in it but I ignored it.
As I walked into my house I took a deep breath in and smiled to myself as I made my way to my room. I grabbed my favorite neon green ribbons that I tied on my legs and a few crystal stars that I would put into my hair.
I got into the shower and let the hot water cascade down my long, cyan-colored body. I washed my body, tail, and mane, then got out and started to dry off my hair with a towel.I turned on my hair dryer and started to dry my hair, it was almost dry and I put in some mousse to make it a little fluffy and curly. I let it dry, then decided to put a few more curls in my mane and tail here and there and made my way to my bed where the stars were. I was only putting them in my mane but I was excited to see what they would look like. I sprayed my mane with hairspray and stuck the stars throughout, then looked in the mirror at the sparkly stars in my rainbow hair. I wrapped the neon ribbons around all my legs, put on my neon green tutu, and walked back into my bathroom to put some blush on my cheeks and mascara on my lashes.
"I look beautiful," I said out loud, smiling to myself as I went out the door. I fluttered to the ground to wait for Fluttershy, Twilight, and Rarity so we could all walk to the party together.
The girls and I started to walk to the party, but on the way I saw a few ponies that I didn’t think would be going to my party.
"Hey Rainbow Dash, good job today at the competition. You rock!" Thunderlane smiled to me and waved
I waved as I continued to walk with the girls. I was surprised to see him going to my party; Thunderlane and I haven't talked since the summer class we took at the Wonderbolts Academy.
"Hey Rainbow Dash! Good job today," Derpy said happily as she flew upside down, stuck her tongue out, and hoof bumped me.
I shook my head and laughed. You have to love Derpy for being weird. She could always make somepony feel better no matter what, and that's why she was my friend.
"Hey Dash! You did awesome today! You're the best flyer ever," Flitter said, smiling and waving at me.
I smiled and waved back, looking behind her to see Cloudchaser.
"Partayyy Timmme!" Cloudchaser shouted as they flew overhead with a few other ponies I didn't know.
I waved at her as well and couldn't help but be pumped for the party tonight.
"You sure are popular tonight." Twilight smiled at me.
I loved what the girls were all wearing tonight: Twilight had a white tutu with a purple bow in her hair, Rarity had a purple tutu on with glitter in her hair, Fluttershy had a pink tutu on with crystal butterflies in her hair, Applejack had red crystal apples in her hair but no tutu (she wouldn't do it for some reason), and Pinkie was all for it with a multicolored tutu on. I was so excited as we continued to walk to the party when I gasped.
"What did you see?" Rarity asked a little confused. Twilight and Fluttershy followed my gaze and their jaws dropped.
"Hey Rainbow Dash. Good job today with that Sonic Rainboom. I knew you could do it! Plusm thanks for saving me," Soarin said as he flew by me, winked, and waved.
"Oh my gosh," I said excitedly, flapping my wings a little. 'Ouch! Stupid wing,' I thought to myself as the pain in my wing came back. I shook off the pain and finally made it up the hill and saw the warehouse where Vinyl throws her parties. I was surprised at the line of ponies.
"Wow so many ponies came," I said smiling and looking at the line of ponies that were laughing and jumping around, waiting to go inside.
"Well, duh, you did just win the Best Young Flyers competition." Twilight smiled
"And don’t forget you did a SONIC RAINBOOM!" Fluttershy yelled, squeaking a bit at the end.
I couldn't help but smile at Fluttershy. This was going to be the party of the year, not to mention... THE BEST NIGHT EVER!

PARTY OF THE YEAR...maybe?

Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, and I started to make our way towards the long line of ponies. I smiled as I saw just how many made it to this party. I had a feeling this was going to be one of the best parties I was ever thrown, and that's what I always looked forward to when I was partying. As the girls and I started to walk to the front of the line I heard someone yell.
"Yeah, buddy! Rainbow Dash is here; let the partying begin!" Thunderlane yelled, flapping his wings in excitement.
I hoof bumped him as I continued to the front of the line, smiling and waving at every pony. The girls and I finally made it to the front of the line and I couldn't help but smile at Big Mac, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Cheese Sandwich, Dumbbell, Hoops, and Score.
"Well, now that Rainbow Dash finally made it to her party,” Dumbbell said, winking at me, “I think it's time to get this party started!” he finished and opened the doors.
I flapped my wings and ran into the warehouse. I trotted over to where Dj PON3 was and grabbed a lightstick of every color to put them on a necklace. I smiled at the ponies that made this party possible, then went over to the apple cider. I grabbed a mug and started to chug it. I couldn't help myself; sometimes apple cider and I have a love/hate relationship.
"Chug, chug, chug, chug!" Thunderlane was chanting to me as a group of ponies started to gather.
I finished it in 10 seconds flat and they all started to cheer. Before I knew it I was pumped and chugging another mug of apple cider. I would be hurting tomorrow morning but I was loving myself tonight. I noticed that Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich were dancing a few feet away from me. I smiled at the sight. I was glad Pinkie Pie had found Cheese Sandwich, because he made her happy and that's all that mattered to me. Granted it made me a little jealous that she had found somepony before me, but I’d never tell her that.
"Yeah, chug that shit down! Whooo!" Soarin yelled as he and Thunderlane started making bets as to how many mugs of apple cider I could take.
I couldn't help but smirk as I kept chugging. I grabbed another mug and continued to chug. Yep, I was definitely going to hate myself tomorrow. A lot.
I looked around and saw Fluttershy dancing with a stallion I didn't know but I was happy about that as well. Some of my friends seemed to be doing good tonight with finding stallions.
I guess we'd see how my luck went by the end of the night. I was hoping I’d find somepony at the party… man, why was I so worried about it?
"Somepony should definitely stop her. She's going to be drunk before the party even starts,” Applejack said to Big Mac as she looked on worriedly at the situation I had managed to get myself into.
Big Mac nodded and made his way over to the crowd that had surround me. He had to push his way through to finally make it to the middle of the crowd. There was a worried look on his face when I looked over to him.
"Oh, look who it is? It's my favorite stallion in the whole wide world. I like you Big Red,” I said loudly, stumbling a bit, letting a hiccup or two out before smiling at Big Mac.
Oh my god, did I just say that outloud? I thought to myself. My face was red and I went to grab another mug but Big Mac pushed it away from me. How dare he!
I tried to keep myself from stumbling, but failing to do so. I looked around and noticed all of my friends watching me with very disappointed looks on their faces.
Ugh, why do I get myself in these types of situations?
"What the fuck?" I slurred as I stumbled back, bumping into Thunderlane and Soarin. I glared as I pushed back hard at Big Mac, which was pretty much like pushing a brick wall. "C'mon Big Mac, let's go! You and me. I'm gonna kick your ass.” I hiccuped.
Big Mac rolled his eyes and started to walk away from the group. He just kept walking away from me. I mean, I know why he did: because he was pretty sure I'd start some drama that he wanted no part of, which usually happens when I party. I also noticed I was in a foul mood all of a sudden so I decided I needed to dance. I looked around for a stallion to dance with but didn't find one I wanted to at that moment.
"Lame! I need to dance,” I grumbled as I made my way to the dancefloor, swaying my hips back and forth to the music.
I started to just move with the music that was thumping. As I moved with the music I saw Dumbbell making his way towards me, I smirked at him and winked. Then all of a sudden Thunderlane was in front of me. We danced together, and when I looked to where Dumbbell was standing and he was staring at the two of us dancing.
He had this weird look on his face as he made his way back to where the apple cider was. I looked at Thunderlane and back to Dumbbell. I decided I wasn't going to let him get to me tonight with his weird looks, even though I was wondering why he was looking at me like that.
"I have to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back,” I said to Thunderlane quickly.
I turned and ran to the bathroom so I could relax for a minute. I didn't like the look I had seen on Dumbbell's face. I didn't know what it was, but I hated it. I caught my breath, splashed some water on my face, then walked out of the bathroom to look for Dumbbell.
I wandered over to the Apple cider.. but he wasn't there. I checked where the cake and cupcakes were but he wasn't there either. I wandered around the dancefloor to search there.
"Dumbbell?" I yelled, looking around for the brown stallion with blonde hair and blue eyes. I kept wandering around for about an hour. I made my way over to the cake and cupcakes and started to munch on a rainbow-colored cupcake. I scanned the warehouse for Dumbbell one last time and finally gave up on finding him.
"Rainbow Dash, let's take a picture!" I heard Flitter say happily as she and Cloudchaser stood on either side of me.
I agreed and we ended up taking a few really good pictures. I smiled at our pictures, which reminded me that I needed to take a few pictures with my girls, Soarin, and Thunderlane.
"Hey Flitter, have you or Cloudchaser seen Dumbbell anywhere? I wanted to thank him for helping with the party.” I kicked at the ground.
"Um, I haven't seen him at all tonight,” Flitter said.
"I did! He's outside with Hoops and Score.” Cloudchaser smiled.
“Thanks!” I headed to the front door of the warehouse, hoping Dumbbell would talk to me even after Thunderlane cut him off on the dancefloor.
I looked up at the top of the warehouse and looked around the side and back but I couldn't see him. I finally saw him a ways away from the warehouse at a little lake. I was so happy that I had finally found him. I had a smile on my face as I walked up behind him.
"Dumbbell! There you are! I've been looking for you everywhere. I wanted to talk to you and apologize for the whole Thunderlane thing,” I said.
Dumbbell turned around and glared at me. I gasped when I saw he had been making out with Cloudchaser. She just smirked at me.
I felt the sting of tears hitting my eyes. How had she managed to make it outside so quickly? Why was I even crying over Dumbbell making out with her? It’s not like we were dating.
"What do you want? Aren't you having fun with Thunderlane?" Dumbbell asked smugly.
I shook my head no. I opened and closed my mouth a few times, and the words I wanted to say to him wouldn't come out. He and Cloudchaser started to laugh at me. I couldn't believe this was happening to me, it was like I was little all over again. My breath became faster as they laughed at me; I shook my head again as I tried to get a hold of myself.
"What's wrong with you, Rainbow? Cat has your tongue?" Cloudchaser said laughing loudly.
Why? Why was she doing this? We just took a picture together, I considered her a friend. I felt betrayed and considerably hurt that Cloudchaser was doing this to me. I tried to wipe away the tears that were now streaming down my face.
"I saw the look you gave me when you were walking towards me. Then Thunderlane cut you off by dancing with me. The look in your eyes, I didn't like it. I wanted to come talk to you to see what was wrong,” I finally said as tears continued to fall down my face and onto my hooves.
"Oh, look at her cry like a little filly” Cloudchaser said laughing more.
I finally couldn't hold the rest of my tears in any longer, they started to stream down my face more and more, I was waiting for Dumbbell to say something but he wasn't saying anything. I looked up to see Dumbbell smirking at me.
"Yeah, I was going to tell you quite a few things but after what you pulled with Thunderlane I want nothing to do with you tonight,” Dumbbell said, laughing.
I let out a painful sob as I sat back on my haunches and started to scrub at my eyes to make the tears stop.
"Why?" I finally managed to ask. Dumbbell and Cloudchaser continued to laugh at me.
"Cause you didn't even bother to tell him you were going to dance with me, you just smiled big at him, you could’ve told him you were planning to dance with me. But no, you didn’t. Stupid bitch,” Dumbbell said smugly as he and Cloudchaser walked away from me.
All I could think was This was supposed to be the best night ever and Why would Dumbbell do this? . I sat there and continued to cry, even after I heard a pony coming towards me.
"Rainbow Dash, are you alright?" Big Mac asked quietly.
I just slowly shook my head as I continued to cry.
"You don't cry easily. Whoever said this must have really hurt you… I don't like seeing you cry.” Big Mac said, sitting down next to me.
I nodded and tried to wipe away the rest of my tears. I felt Big Mac put his foreleg around me and pull me close into a tight hug. I laid my forehead against his chest and sighed; he smelled like sweat, apples, and fresh grass. For some reason I really liked that combination. I shook that thought from my head as he just rubbed my back. I looked up at him and smiled as I kissed him quickly on the cheek, I could see him blushing as we both looked away from each other. I couldn’t believe I had just done that! What on earth was I thinking?
"Um, Big Mac do you want to dance with me?" I asked him quietly.
Big Mac smiled down at me and nodded. As we walked back I saw Dumbbell give me that strange look again, but I just ignored it this time. My favorite song was on and I just wanted dance while Big Mac followed my lead.
I saw Cloudchaser and Dumbbell a few feet away, so I put my forelegs around Big Mac’s neck and pulled him closer to me. Dumbbell glared at me and he left the dancefloor. I smirked at him as I turned to face Big Mac again. After the song was done I trotted off with Big Mac towards the apple cider. We both grabbed a mug.
"You two were gone for a while. What was up with that?" Applejack asked smiling at us.
Big Mac and I started to blush and look in different directions. Applejack smirked and went off to find Twilight. I finished my mug and wandered to the cupcakes. I munched on another rainbow-colored cupcake and watched all the ponies having fun. I was having a blast before Dumbbell decided to be a complete asshole to me, but thanks to Big Mac I was in a better mood again.
I finished my cupcake and started to dance with Fluttershy. She of course didn't know what to do so I had to show her, Derpy ended up joining in and making us all crack up at her dancing. I took a few pictures with Fluttershy and Derpy. They were seriously some of the best pictures over ever taken. I was starting to become happier as the night progressed when I saw Big Mac and Dumbbell talking to each other and it didn't look very nice.
"Uh-oh,” I mumbled as I started to walk towards them. Fluttershy and Derpy followed me. By the time we got to them, Thunderlane and Soarin were part of the argument. There was a bunch of yelling from all the stallions.
"What the hell did you do to her to make her cry?" Big Mac bellowed at Dumbbell.
He scoffed at Big Mac and glared at Thunderlane. "Why don't you ask this asshole over here?”
Big Mac looked from Dumbbell to Thunderlane.
"Hey now, I was just cheering her on when she was chugging apple cider," Thunderlane said, putting his hooves up protectively.
I rolled my eyes at the argument they were having but stayed near just in case I needed to stop something.
"Oh whatever, Thunderlane. I know why you were cheering her on. You wanted to get her drunk and take her home with you!" Soarin yelled.
I sighed and was just about ready to stop the fight, mainly because a crowd encircled us.
"What the hell, Soarin? You were cheering her on as well so don't you dare go there!" Thunderlane glared at him.
"Oh shut the hell up, this has nothing to do with either of you! It has to do with Dumbbell and why he made my Dashie cry," Big Mac yelled at them.
I finally got in the middle of the group. "Big Mac, it’s fine. He's just mad at me because of Thunderlane cutting him off when he was making his way towards me to dance. He called me a bitch, but I'm over it now. Okay? I'm in a good mood so let's just pretend that this didn't happen," I said looking at all the stallions.
Big Mac looked like he was going to kill Dumbbell. I was shoved out of the way by somepony; I couldn’t tell who did it. I heard a crack as Big Mac's hoof came into contact with Dumbbell's face. I cringed at the sound.
Dumbbell stumbled back a few steps, then threw a punch at Big Mac. I was about to step in when Thunderlane tried. He got punched right in the gut by Dumbbell, so he swung back at him.
That was when I had enough of this fight and stood in front of Big Mac.
"Big Red! Stop it NOW!" I yelled.
He looked at me for a minute, then nodded and sat down on his haunches.
"Now Dumbbell, Soarin, and Thunderlane... KNOCK IT OFF!" I screamed. A few tears fell down my cheeks. "This is supposed to be the best night ever and the party of the year." I wiped my cheeks before I started to walk away.
"Dash, are you going to be okay tonight?" Fluttershy asked me quietly.
I nodded and sat at a table with a few mugs of apple cider. I sat there looking at everyone having fun. Dumbbell completely ruined it for me.
I sighed; why was I was letting a dumb stallion like Dumbbell get to me like this? I got up and stumbled to the front door. I sat outside, looking at the moon. I heard someone walk up behind me, and when I turned around I saw Dumbbell.
"What the hell do you want?" I asked quietly.
He sat beside me and just looked at the ground, not saying a single thing to me at first. Finally he said, "Rainbow Dash, I wanted to tell you that I am sorry about everything that has happened tonight. Getting mad at you about Soarin and Thunderlane, punching Big Mac, making out with Cloudchaser... This was supposed to be the party of the year and the best night ever for you and I ruined it." Tears were falling down his face.
I hugged him as hard as I could as I started to cry. I couldn't help it! He was being so cute right now. Did I just think that?
"Dumbbell, it's okay, but will you tell me one thing, please?" I asked hopefully. He nodded at me. "Why did you keep giving me all these weird looks tonight?" I looked at my hooves as they kicked at the ground.
I heard him sigh and he looked at me, blushing a little. I could tell he was nervous and a little unsure on whether to tell me or not, but he eventually said, "It's because I like you Rainbow Dash. I have for years, but I was just too afraid to tell you so I did the next best thing, which was to make fun of you." Dumbbell sighed.
I smiled at him. As I started to lean forward, all of a sudden Dumbbell was kissing me. Man is he a good kisser, I thought as he deepened the kiss.
"Rainbow Dash, the party is over. Where are you? I'm walking you home," I heard Big Mac yelling.
I sighed. Dumbbell laughed a little as he got up and nuzzled against my neck.
"I'll see you later, Dashie." Dumbbell winked at me and flew into the sky. "I hope I helped make this at least the best night ever."
For once the walk home with Big Mac was strangely quiet. I just pretended it wasn't a big deal but he seemed like he wanted to say something to me because he kept looking at me and then looking away.
I was blushing as well which probably didn't help. But… I wondered what was on his mind. What did he want to tell me?

Hangover and a day with Big Mac

I slowly opened my eyes as I woke up, groaning the sun hit my eyes and I felt a sharp pain in my head "ugh I hate this part of partying. Stupid hangovers" I said to myself rolling over and pulling the blankets over my head. I opened my eyes again and saw a crystal star laying next to me, I smiled to myself as I picked it up and put it on my bedside table. I could hear someone knocking on my door "ugh make it stop" I growled as threw the blankets off of me, and putting sunglasses on and stumbled to the door. I opened it to see Fluttershy smiling at me, I groaned as I let her inside. I flopped down at my kitchen table. Staring at my floor which was a little dirty today, note to self..I need to clean my kitchen.
"I brought you some stuff for your hangover" Fluttershy smiled, I took the stuff and started making something to drink. I gulped it down and sighed,Fluttershy smiled at me as I leaned my head forward and laid it on the table.
"Please remind me to never drink that much ever again, that was a horrid mistake" I said taking my sunglasses off and smiling a bit. Fluttershy shook her head laughing at me.
"Big Mac wants to talk to you I guess, least that's what Applejack told me, I don’t know what he wants to talk to you about" Fluttershy said getting up and opening the door. "Goodbye Rainbow dash I hope you feel better, come visit me when you do" Fluttershy said flying off to her cottage. I smiled to myself, I didn't even take my tutu or ribbons off, I pulled the ribbons off of my legs and pulled the tutu off as well. I walked into my bathroom and started pulling the crystal stars out of my hair, I stepped into the shower and took a nice, long hot shower. I washed my body and hair and just stood under the water for while, I stepped out and started to dry myself off and started to dry my hair. I put mousse in it again to make my hair fluffy and curly, I wasn't going to curl my hair this time though. I cleaned and dried if my wings flapping them a bit, my left wing was still killing me.
"Man maybe I should go to a doctor" I said to myself as I fluttered to the ground and started to walk to Sweet Apple Acres to see what Big Mac wanted to talk about. I walked into Ponyville I stopped sugarcube corner to see Pinkie Pie, I smiled at the cakes and ordered a cupcake to munch on. I chewed quietly as I waited for Pinkie Pie to come downstairs, I smiled when I saw the pink pony with fluffy pink hair pop out of nowhere.
"Hiya Dashie? what brings you over here?" Pinkie smiled as she handed me some 7up to help my tummy. I smiled at her as I took a few drinks, I felt relieved that this hangover was dissipating quickly.
"Well Pinkie my friend, I'm going to visit Big Mac today on the farm so I was wondering if I could get a bottle of Macintosh Apple cider and those three strawberry cream cupcakes? They're Bigs favorite" I smiled at her as I finished munching on my cupcake. Pinkie Pie smiled back at me as she went to grab the Apple Cider and cupcakes for Big Red, I was gonna make it up to him for the way I acted at the party. I felt really bad for that, after everything last night even after Dumbbell apologized it wasn’t even close to the best night ever.
"Here ya go Dashie" Pinkie Pie said smiling, while handing me the snacks for Big Red. He should still be working on the barn today, I handed my bits to the Cakes and went out the door to Sweet Apple Acres. It wasn't too bad of a walk but sometimes I wished I could just fly without it killing my wing, I started humming to myself again as I kept walking. I passed Applejack on the way there.
"Well howdy Rainbow Dash, what's got ya coming this way?" She asks smiling. I smiled back as I stopped for a minute and showed her the snack I was bringing for Big Mac, Applejack couldn't help but smile at me for what I was doing. She was surprised a few years ago when Big Mac and I started to hang out, she wasn’t expecting me to help him with his errands on the days I had time.
"Awe you’re bringing snacks to my big brother, how cute is that?" Applejack said smiling at me. She waved goodbye and continued into Ponyville. I continued to the farm, I wasn't to far now so I started to walk slower. My pain in m wing was now a dull throbbing pain, that was one thing I was happy for. I started to walk past all the Apple trees, I smiled as I kept walking towards the barn Big Mac would be at. I stopped at the edge of the field and saw my favorite big red stallion plowing the field, I waved as I sat down and brought his snack out. I saw him smile and trot over to me as I handed him the cold Macintosh Apple cider and Strawberry cupcakes.
"Oh wow Dashie thanks so much for bringing this to me" he said smiling as he took a bite of the Strawberry cupcake and took a drink of the Apple cider. I smiled back at him as he ate his snack, I stretched out my wings trying to get shake whatever was going on with my left wing. Big Mac saw the look on my face as I stretched.
"I haven't seen you fly lately are you okay? What's going on with your wings?" He asked a hint of concern in his voice, I looked up at him a little worried and looked back down at my hooves. "Rainbow tell me" he said a little irritated that I wasn't saying anything to him. I let my left wing fall limply to my side as I laid my head down.
"I did something to my wing when I did the sonicrainboom at the best young flyers competition. And then throughout the day I kept trying to fly and now I can barely move it without it hurting me" I said looking at my hooves again kicking around a little rock. I looked up and Big Mac sat next to me and nuzzled my neck. I sighed I knew I worried him and yet I didn't say anything. He lifted me up onto his back and her started to head towards Ponyville.
"Big Mac where are you taking me?" I asked quietly. He turned his head and looked at me for a minute and sighed.
"Dashie I'm taking you to the hospital, you could do some real damage to that wing of yours. And I don't want you to ruin your chances to be part of the Wonderbolts. You love to fly, you have dreams. Don't ruin it" He said quietly to me, I nuzzled against his neck and sighed. I laid there with my wings laying at my side, I flicked my tail every now and then as I looked up at the sky to look at the clouds.
"You okay Dashie? You're being awfully quite" Big Mac asked me as he continued to walk, He listened to me sighing and my tail flicking every now and then. I just laid there quietly, not being to find the words that were literally on the tip of my tongue.
"I'm sorry Big I'm just worried about my wing, you're right being part of the Wonderbolts is my dream and I love to fly. Thank you for taking me to the doctor. I'm really hoping it's nothing serious that can be fixed quickly" I said to Big Mac quietly. Big Mac nodded as we made it into Ponyville. We walked for maybe another 10 minutes and we finally made it to the doctor. I was about to get off of Big Mac's back when he shook his head no. I sighed laughing a little at him.
"Oh my what happened to you Rainbow Dash??" Nurse Redheart asked worriedly. I got down and looked at her as I turned to my side so she could see my bruised left wing. "Hmmm" she said as she looked at it. "Come this way so Dr. Hooves can look at it" she said as she led me to a room, I looked back at Big Mac and motioned him to follow me, he nodded and walked behind me. I sat in the exam room and waited for the Doctor. Big Mac smiled at me as I worried about what Dr. Hooves was going to say about my wing. I heard a knock on the door and I let out a sighed that I had apparently been keeping inside.
"So Rainbow Dash it says you strained your wing muscles in your left wing when you did the SonicRainboom and continued to use it throughout the night huh?" The Doctor said raising an eyebrow at me, like I knew better. I sighed and nodded my head knowing I shouldn't have done that to my wing. "Well let's take a look here and make sure you didn't do any permanent damage to your wing" he said as he stretched it out and flexed it and put it against my side. I winced and tried not to cuss at the Doctor, but it was starting to get really impossible not to. "Well do you want the good news first or the bad news first?" Dr. hooves asked me quietly. I looked at Big Mac worriedly, he nodded his head.
"Um well I suppose I'm going to want the bad news first" I said looking at the Doctor.
"Well you'll have to have your wing bent into the normal position against your side and have it wrapped so it stays there for a few weeks so it can heal" he said smiling at me. I let out a sigh of relief as I smiled at Big Mac and the Doctor. Then I wondered what the good news was.
"What's the good news then?" I asked.
"You didn't do any permanent damage to your wing and you will be able to fly again" he said smiling. I smiled and hugged the Doctor as I got up and Big Mac and I left the Doctors. I felt weird having my wing bandaged and then wrapped so it stays on my side, I knew it had some getting used to for a while. I smiled as I started to walk back to the farm with him I nuzzled against his neck and sighed.
"You sure are quiet today, I don't mind it but I like talking to you too" Big Mac said as he nuzzled me back. I looked at him and stuck my tongue out at him and started to run to the farm.
"Catch me if you can Big Red!" I yelled running as fast as I could. Which wasn't as fast as I thought I would be, Big Mac was gaining on me.
"Oh give it up you're not going to beat me" He scoffed at me as he passed me, I huffed as I tried to catch up with him, but it was no use we were already at the farm.
"HA!" Big Mac laughed as he sat down on his haunches smiling at me. I smiled back as I pushed him down, for some reason I was just staring into his green eyes. I started to lean forward, I didn’t notice that Big was leaning forward as well. We started to kiss, he was an amazing kisser, better than Dumbbell. He deepened the kiss, I moaned into his mouth as he pulled me close to his body. I pulled back and smiled at him.
“By the way Big Red what did you want to talk about today?” I asked nuzzling my head into his chest. Big Mac sat up and looked at me.
“I actually was going to ask you if you maybe wanted to go out with me?” Big Mac asked me smiling. I frowned, I got off of him and sat there looking at the ground. I looked up at him, I was trying to figure out how to put what I was feeling into words.
“Big Mac I don’t know if that would be a good idea” I said kicking at the ground a bit, I looked up and saw a look of hurt, confusion and anger in his emerald eyes. It actually really scared me. He took a few steps towards me and I started to back up as quick as I could away from him.
“Why would you kiss me then if you thought it was a bad idea, you’ve been acting funny lately..did I do something? Answer me Rainbow Dash” He yelled at me. I flinched at him calling me Rainbow Dash and his yelling. He never called me Rainbow Dash, he usually called me Rainbow or Dashie. I for some reason felt my eyes stinging, why am I crying.
“I don’t know...I felt attracted to you last night but before we walked home Dumbbell told me he liked me. I’m sorry Red but I can’t go out with you” I said as tears streamed down my face. He shook his head and got up, he started to walk away from me, I looked at him and wanted to walk after him. But my hooves were glued to the ground it seemed.
“Don’t call me Red anymore Rainbow Dash. I never want to see you again, get out of here!” he bellowed at me, a few tears running down his face. ‘oh my god, I made Big Mac cry, Applejack will have my head for this’ I thought to myself as I started to run as fast as I could away from Sweet Apple Acres. I looked behind me and saw Big Mac walking towards the house. I started to slow down as I collapsed onto the ground and just let all the tears out. I sniffled when my eyes finally went dry void of tears, they felt puffy and I’m sure they were bloodshot.
“I need to see Fluttershy, I need an emergency sleepover with the girls. Hopefully Applejack won’t kill me tonight” I said as I started to run to Fluttershy’s cottage.

Sleepover at Fluttershy's

I finally made it to Fluttershy's cottage; I knocked on her door as I looked at the ground. I heard the door open and I looked up at a confused Fluttershy. "Rainbow? What's wrong?" She asked as she stepped aside to let me inside. I sighed as the familiar sting of tears was hitting my eyes, my lip was trembling and for some reason nothing was coming out of my mouth.
"Dashie, why are you crying? Did Big Mac say something rude to you? Oh he's going to get" Fluttershy said angrily as she hugged me tightly rubbing my back as I sobbed onto her shoulder. She let go of me as she trotted over to the phone, I sat on my haunches as I tried to rub the tears from my eyes. "I'm calling the girls for an emergency sleepover" Fluttershy said dialing Twilight's number, I scrubbed at my eyes as Fluttershy talked to Twilight. I got up and walked over to the bathroom; I looked at myself in the mirror and let me say I looked disastrous. My eyes were red and puffy, I had tear stains streaking my face not to mention my disheveled mess of prismatic hair, I sighed as I started to brush my hair.
"I look like a disaster" I said to myself as I finished brushing my hair, I walked back out into the living room to see Fluttershy still on the phone with Twilight. I sat on my haunches and looked around at all of Fluttershy's animal friends; I smiled as I waved at a little chipmunk.
"Emergency sleepover is happening. The girls will be here in a little bit. Tell me what happened Rainbow Dash. Why were you crying?" Fluttershy asked sitting down next to me and pulling me into a tight hug. I sighed as I tried to find my words for what happened.
"I finally pushed Big Mac away, he said he wanted nothing to do with me" I said looking at the floor.
"But why would Big Mac say that to you? You guys are best friends" Fluttershy said shifting a bit.
"It's probably because I kissed him and then said literally right after that I couldn't go out with him because Dumbbell likes me" I said sighing. Fluttershy's jaw drop and she stood up and got inches within my face.
"What!? Are you crazy!? Why on earth would you choose Dumbbell over Big Mac??? Don't you remember when he used to tease us?? You need to go apologize to him RIGHT NOW!!" Fluttershy yelled.
"Yeah I'm not going anywhere near Sweet Apple Acres. I made him cry Fluttershy l, even if I did go back there he would.most likely yell at me again." I sighed with defeat. Fluttershy gave me small smile.
"Rainbow don't worry you two will be friends again. I know it" she said as she continued to feed her animals. I sat there and waited for the rest of the girls to make it to Fluttershy's cottage, I watched as she walked outside to feed her chickens. Fluttershy came back inside and went upstairs to grab blankets and pillows. She had told the girls to bring theirs. I told Fluttershy that I would be back and walked to my house to grab my own stuff. I threw a rope ladder up to my house since I wasn't able to fly at the moment, I walked into my house and back to my room I grabbed my two fluffy Pegasus down pillows and big fluffy blanket, I smiled as I stuffed them into my special saddlebags my mom had bought me in high school for when I had sleepovers to fly to. I cleaned up my house a bit before I flew back to Fluttershy's cottage; I walked out into my porch and bumped into Dumbbell.
"Hey Dashie where are headed off to?" Dumbbell asked smiling at me. I smiled back as I put my saddlebags down and hugged him tightly.
"I'm going to a sleepover to Fluttershy's, and I have had a bad day so I'm kind of glad I get to be with the girls tonight" I said smiling a bit. Dumbbell smiled back at me.
"Well Dashie I hope you have a good sleepover with your friends, maybe I'll see you tomorrow?" He asked I nodded I was about to head off when he stopped me. "Want me to walk you there?" He asked nuzzling me a bit; I blushed and nodded blushing a little. We walked off to Fluttershy's cottage, we wrongly quite on the way there. I landed and gave him and hug goodbye, he asked at me and flew off. I smiled to myself a bit as I walked into Fluttershy's, the only one that was there with her was Pinkie Pie.
"Dashie! I'm so excited for this sleepover, we haven't had one in forever!" she exclaimed as she hopped around the living room, so far Fluttershy had moved her couch and brought her big TV to the living room. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie had set their blankets and pillows in front of the TV; I smiled as I put my blankets and pillows next to Pinkie's. I smiled as I lay on my tummy and stretched out, "So Dashie what do you think we're going to do tonight?" Pinkie Pie asked me excitedly. I shrugged at her as I looked at the movies that Fluttershy had brought down from her room; I was looking forward to our sleepover. I heard the door open and I looked up to see Rarity come inside.
"Hello ladies how are all of you today?" she asked putting her bedding next to me, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy were talking about something I wasn't paying much attention to them.
"Well I'm doing better now" I said laughing a little. Rarity smiled at me a bit as she took out some stuff from her saddle bag. "What is that?" I asked as I looked at the bags she took out. She smiled at me as she opened one of them.
"Well my dear Rainbow, I brought some stuff for us to do each other’s hair tonight, not to mention stuff to shine our hooves and pain them up a bit. That's definitely a must for sleepovers" she smiled at me. I smiled back; I was excited to get my hair done tonight. I'm not one for getting my hooves shined and painted though so I wasn't too sure about that. I heard the door open again to see Twilight come inside. "Twilight are you excited to get your hair done tonight??" Rarity smiled as she put the bags aside.
"Sure. I wouldn't mind that tonight, I brought a game with me too" Twilight said bringing a bag out. I smiled to myself as Twilight set her bedding down behind Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie; I wondered what Applejack would be bringing for the sleepover. I got up and wondered over to the window to see Applejack making her way towards the cottage; I was starting to get nervous. I mean what if Big Mac told her what happened, what if he told her how much I hurt him. Would she hate me for it? I looked over as she made her way into the cottage; she gave me a huge smile.
"Howdy ladies, I brought all sorts of snacks for tonight, I hope y'all are ready for one hell of a night" she said smiling as she set her bedding between Rarity and I. I smiled as I helped her bring the snacks to the kitchen to put them away. As we were putting them away Applejack stopped and turned around to face me "I know what happened with you and Big Mac. I hope you two are able to figure out your problems because I think you two are perfect for each other" AJ smiled at me as she grabbed a pop. I smiled back at her as we started to make our way back into the living room.
"Thanks AJ I hope we can figure out our problems too, I couldn't stand to lose Big Mac forever" I said as I settled down on my bedding again.
"Alright ladies this is the begging of our emergency sleepover, what should we do first?" She asked looking at all of us. I thought for a minute before I smiled.
"Let's watch some movies" I smiled as I picked out a few from Fluttershy's stash. She smiled at the ones I picked and put one in as she and Aj walked back to make some popcorn and grab some pops and other snacks for everypony. I heard somepony knock on the door and I was a little confused. "Um Fluttershy, who else is coming to this sleepover?" I asked as I walked towards the door. I opened it to see Flitter smiling at me with all of her stuff.
"Hey Rainbow I heard that you were having a sleepover and Fluttershy told me what happened so I wanted to come here and help you feel better. And also I'm really sorry for how Cloudchaser acted at your party, it really made me mad that she did that to you" She said as she came in and put her bedding next to AJ's. I smiled at her as I sat back down.
"Thanks so much Flitter it's kind of nice to see you here, when that happened at the party I thought you were part of it too. So I was a little mad at you but after you said that I am so glad that we're friends." I exclaimed as I turned around to press play on the movie. Flitter smiled back at me as she settled down for the movie. Applejack and Fluttershy went around passing out the popcorn and pops to everypony and we settled down for the first stage of our little sleepover, this was going to be a good night. The movie we were watching was an older movie from forever ago when I was like 12 or 13, it's called Bring it on. I really liked it mainly because of the music. I munched on my popcorn and drank some of my 7up. I looked over my shoulder; it was nice to be here with the girls and Flitter. I hoped she could become part of our group; I needed some more girlfriends to hang out with. I wished Cloudchaser hadn't done what she did at the party but I hoped that she would soon apologize to me; I doubt it would happen anytime soon but I can hope.
"So Flitter how are you and Rainbow Dash friends?" Twilight asked. I forgot when Twilight is meeting somepony new she always has to ask how one of us knows her, it made me laugh a little to myself.
"Well Rainbow, Cloudchaser and I all went to flight school together with Thunderlane that was her little group when she went to flight school. That was back when Cloudchaser wasn't so mean, and also when Dumbbell, Hoops and Score were still bullying her" Flitter said looking down at the ground.
"Oh I'm sorry" Twilight said looking at me, I smiled to show her it was okay for her to ask. Flitter smiled at me too as she looked at Twilight.
"It's okay at least she still has me and Thunderlane, not to mention Dumbbell and his group of friends are nice to her now as well. I hope Cloud apologizes to Rainbow soon cause what she did was a bitch move" Flitter finished munching on some popcorn.
"It was but I'm over it, I hope she apologizes too but even if she doesn't least I still have you and my girls" I said smiling at Flitter and the girls. After Bring it on was done playing we decided to watch another movie called He's just not that into you, it was a romance movie so I wasn't really that into it so I preened my good wing and waited for the movie to be over.
"So ladies after this movie should we do each other’s hair?" Rarity asked smiling, I nodded happily I loved getting my hair done. Flitter woohoo'd and I couldn't help but laugh at her. She stuck her tongue out at me and I laughed even harder.
"Ha knew that would make you laugh" Flitter said smiling as she finished her popcorn. I shook my head and her and made a silly face. Pinkie Pie started to laugh as well as she hopped over to Flitter and I and joined in on the face making and laughing.
"Haha I love making faces at you guys. This is so much fun" Pinkie Pie exclaimed as she hopped around. Flitter and I burst out laughing, the rest of the girls started to laugh at our antics as we were hopping around laughing and making weird faces at each other.
"So far this is honestly one of the best sleepovers ever! I'm having so much fun" I laughed as I made another funny face at Pinkie Pie. Flitter was rolling around on the ground laughing as she was holding her stomach.
"Oh my god make it stop. My tummy hurts so badly" Flitter said between laughs. I laughed at Flitter because she was laughing so hard nothing was coming out.
"Ha-ha breathe Flitter breathe" I said falling to the floor. Pinkie Pie kept hopping around us and laughing at us.
"Okay ladies I think it's time to do our hair" Rarity smiled as she brought out a bag and handed a brush to everyone, a curler, hairspray, and bows. I smiled as Flitter sat behind me and started to work on my hair, I was excited to see what she was going to do. I felt her brush it out and start curling it, I started to hum as she worked on my hair. I looked over to Rarity who was doing her own hair. I wish I was that talented to work on my own hair; I smiled as I felt her spraying my hair. I looked over to Twilight and AJ, I stifled a laugh as I saw them arguing. AJ never wants her hair done at these sleepovers. I felt Flitter putting some bows in my hair.
"Done" Flitter smiled to me as she got up and walked to the bathroom, she did an amazing job. She curled my hair in long waves and put two bows on either side of my head.
"Flitter you did a great job" I said as I smiled at myself. "Do you want me to do your hair?" I asked looking back at her.
"No I think I'm good. I did my hair before I came here anyways" she smiled as we walked back out into the living room. Flitter and I sat and watched everyone do each other’s hair. AJ wouldn't let Twilight do a thing; Aj didn't want to do her hair either. "Those two just don't agree do they?" Flitter asked laughing a little. I shook my head.
"It could be worse at least Rarity isn't trying to work on AJ's hair. Last time they barely made it through the sleepover without killing each other" I said smirking. Flitter just laughed to herself as we watched everyone finished on each other’s hair. "I wonder what we'll be doing next." I thought to myself as I laid on my tummy again careful not to ruin my hair.
"Good job ladies on each other’s hair. I think it's time to listen to so music and work on our hooves" Rarity smiled. I sighed; great I never got my hooves done. Flitter smiled at me as she started to shine my hooves, I let her do it hoping that they didn't look bad. I smiled at her as she worked on them. She finished them and I looked down at them.
"Wow. You did such a good job Flitter" I smiled. She smiled back at me.
"Thanks Dash, I'll do my own since that was your first time getting them done. Do you want me to paint them?" She asked me as she started to work on her hooves.
"No I'm okay" I smiled as I relaxed and just listened to the music. I sat there looking at my hooves, maybe I needed to get them shined more often. My favorite song came on so I started to get into the music.
"I love this song" Flitter said finished with her hooves her and I started to dance with the music. Pinkie Pie laughed and started to hop around and dance with us. I looked up and all of us were dancing.
"This is the best sleepover ever!" I yelled as I jumped around and moved with the music. We ended up skipping the game that Twilight had brought. We ended up dancing and listening to music until around 3 in the morning. Fluttershy put in another movie as we all got under out blankets; I watched some of the movie and ended up passing out. I had a weird dream about Big Mac and I, we ended up fixing our issues and went out. I slowly opened my eyes and felt the sun in my face; I blinked a few times and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. I sat up to see that everyone was asleep except for Flitter. "Hey Flitter did you sleep well?" I asked smiling at her as I poured some juice and gulped it down.
"I did, I had a really fun night I hope we have another sleepover like this again" she said smiling as she munched on some cereal. I poured myself some cereal as well and ate with Flitter as we talked for a while about how much fun we had. "Well Rainbow I'm going to have to head out, I'll see you later sometime soon?" Flitter said smiling. I nodded as she left Fluttershy's cottage. I finished up my cereal and wrote a note for Fluttershy and the girls. I grabbed my blankets and pillows and walked out the door to my house. I got into my bed and decided it wouldn't hurt to sleep a little longer since I was off today. Before I fell asleep I decided that maybe I should talk to Dumbbell, just need to figure out what I'm going to say to him.

Chapter 5
A date with Dumbbell

I got to my cloud home and couldn't go back to sleep, I decided I was going to call Dumbbell's apartment and let him know that I wanted him and I to go out tonight and talk to see where him and I were going. I hung up my phone and brushed my hair out and looked at my bandaged wing, I sighed to myself as I laid down on my bed and pulled the covers over myself. I laid there for a couple hours and couldn't get any sleep at all, 'Ugh of course I can't go to sleep' I said to myself as I got out of bed. I cleaned up my house a bit as I tried to find things to do, I reorganized my living room. I smiled to myself as I finished cleaning my house again. I looked through my closet to find something to wear to Dumbbell and I's date, I decided on a simple white dress. I smiled to myself as I set the dress on my bed and walked out to my porch to see Derpy smiling as she handed me my mail. "Thanks a lot Derpy" I waved to her as she flew off to finish handing out the mail. I looked through everything. Surprisingly enough it was nothing but bills. I walked back inside and watched some tv, I ended up dozing off and slept for a few hours. I woke with a start to the phone ringing; I got up and walked over to the phone. "Hello?" I answered a little sleepily.
"Hey Dashie. It's Dumbbell, so I was thinking it would be a really good idea to go out on a date tonight." Dumbbell said as I smiled to myself.
"Oh my gosh thanks so much Dumbbell where do you want to eat tonight?" I asked as I jumped up and down a few times.
"Well I was thinking we could eat some Chinese at that Kowloon place" Dumbbell said as I walked back into the living room.
"Sounds great what time should I expect you here?" I asked as I looked at the clock. It was 5:00 pm right now.
"Well I think 7:00 sounds pretty good, I'll come pick you up and we can go eat" Dumbbell said as I smiled to myself.
"I think that sounds great Dumbbell I'll see you then okay?" I said lying on my couch.
"Alright sounds good. Talk to you later Dashie. Bye" Dumbbell said as I smiled.
"Bye" I said as I hung up the phone. "Yes this is going to be the best date ever" I said to myself as I walked into my bathroom to take a shower. I undid the bandages on my side and my bad wing as I turned on the water. I set my bandages aside as I stepped into the hot water. I let it cascade down my body, I just stood there for a while letting the water loosen up my muscles. I shampooed my mane, body and tail and rinsed off, I put conditioner in my mane and tail and let it soak in for about 10 minutes. I rinsed my hair and turned off my water, I got out of the shower and started to dry myself and my hair off. I blow dried my hair until it was a little damp and put some mousse in it to make it a little fluffy and curly. I smiled to myself as I put some earrings in my ears and pulled the white dress over my head, I checked my hooves and they were still shiny. I smiled and put a little bit of mascara on my eyes and called it good. I walked out into the living room and checked the time 'man it's only 6:30' I thought to myself as I sat on the couch and watched some more tv while I waited for Dumbbell to come pick me up for our date. I heard a knock on the door as I got up to answer the door I smiled to myself.
"Hey Dashie" Dumbbell said to me smiling. I smiled back as we walked down the rope ladder and walked slowly to the Kowloon Chinese restaurant, "So just saying you look beautiful tonight" Dumbbell said blushing a little.
"Oh wow thanks Dumbbell it took me forever to look like this, I might not do this all the time but I'm kind of glad I did" I said smiling at Dumbbell. He blushed at me as we walked in the moon light into the center of Ponyville which was still really busy around this time of night.
"I'm really glad you asked me to go on a date tonight there is something I've wanted to ask you" Dumbbell said quietly as we made it to the restaurant. I smiled at him as we walked inside and sat at a table. I smiled at him as sat down; the waiter came by and gave us our menus. I picked the fried rice with fried daisies, and egg drop soup. "So Rain I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend" Dumbbell asked blushing a bit. I blushed hard and looked down at my hooves, I smiled huge at him.
"Well Dumbbell I would love to be your girlfriend" I said blushing. Dumbbell blushed smiling back at me; I got my egg drop soup and started to put pepper in it. I took a spoonful and it had a yummy looking carrot so I chewed on it happily. Dumbbell was eating his eggroll as he smiled at me. I smiled back as I took another bite of my soup, the carrots, celery, onion and egg whites in it were delicious.
"I'm really glad we're dating now. I could get used to going on dates with you every weekend" Dumbbell smiled at me. I nodded at him, as I took another bite of my soup.
"I'm glad we're dating too, I figured that was what you were going to ask me" I said winking at him making him blush. He laughed as he finished off his eggrolls.
"Oh really now? hmm I see how you are" He said laughing, I smiled as I finished off my egg drop soup and started on my fried rice with fried Daisies. The fried Daisies weren't too bad, I looked around to see who else was here. The restaurant was pretty quiet which I didn't mind at all.
"So what do you want to do after dinner?" I asked as I took a drink of my water. Dumbbell was looking at me smiling at me a little.
"Well we could go back to your house" He said blushing. I blushed furiously as I looked at my hooves like they were the most interesting thing in the world.
"That sounds like a good idea" I said finishing my fried daisy rice. Dumbbell finished his friend sunflower rice, we got up and paid our bill and started to walk back to my cloud house. We started to walk up my rope ladder and made our way into my house. Dumbell took off his coat and threw it on my couch as he started to kiss me; I lead us to my room as I took off my dress. Dumbbell deepened the kiss as I moaned into his mouth, he hovered over me as he nipped and kissed my neck. I pulled him closer to my body as I bit down on his collar bone causing him to let out a low growl, I felt him slam me against the wall. We ended up going a few rounds that night, I think I enjoyed it more than he did.
"Are you sure I didn't hurt you?" He asked a little unsure. I laughed a little and nodded at him, It was now nearing close to 3:00 am and I was starting to get tired. I flopped down onto my bed and snuggled into the blankets, Dumbbell wasn't far behind me. Dumbbell got up and laid down next to me, I cuddled against him as I laid there looking at the moon shining through my window. I looked over and saw the silver light of Luna's moon hitting those blue eyes and blonde mane, he looked perfect. I was the luckiest mare alive. I smiled when I saw a pair of chocolate brown feathers envelope me in a tight hug, 'I really am lucky to have him' I said to myself as I snuggled into the feathers
"Best night ever" I said to him as I nuzzled against his chest, he laughed at me and nuzzled back. I slowly started to doze off in the arms and wings of Dumbbell, I never thought that this would happen in a million years, but I'm really glad that it did happen. I could hear soft snoring next to me as I looked at Dumbbell, his shaggy blonde mane in his face I kissed him softly on the snout. I finally fell asleep.
"Ugh who is knocking on your door this early in the morning" Dumbbell groaned. I slowly opened my eyes I blinked a few times as Celestia's sun stung my eyes, I rubbed my eyes as I stood up. My legs were a little wobbly as I made my way towards my door; I blinked a few times as I opened the door to see Fluttershy and Twilight.
"Oh hey guys what's going on?" I asked sleepily blinking a few times, I stepped aside and let Twilight and Fluttershy in.
"Well we were wondering if you wanted to go to Canterlot with us today, we're going shopping for stuff that isn't availible here" Twilight smiled at me. I smiled at both of them as I yawned.
"Yeah, for sure. I have to take a quick shower before we go though" I said as I scratched my head smiling at my two best friends. I heard some noise coming from my bedroom letting me know that Dumbbell was awake. I smiled as I walked out of my room.
"Good morning Rain, I'm going to go home. I'll call you later today" he smiled as he kissed me gently. I blushed as he left my house. Twilight and Fluttershy looked at me a little confused.
"Um I thought you were going to date Big Mac. I know you were confused about everything but...yeah" Fluttershy said looking down at the floor. Twilight smiled at me as she gave me a hug.
"I remember you told me about him telling you he liked you, I'm happy for you. I hope you and Dumbbell last a long time" Twilight smiled as her and Fluttershy watched tv as I got into the shower. After my shower I put mousse in my hair again to make it fluffly. I smiled at the girls as we started to fly to Canterlot, I was looking forward to a day with my friends. And hopefully another round with Dumbbell when I got home, or maybe just another date and Chinese food. Our fly to Canterlot took a lot longer than I thought it would, Fluttershy and I started to go shopping for some clothes and other stuff while Twilight went to talk to the Princesses. I found a few things of clothes that I liked and a few things to decorate my cloud house with. I smiled as I paid for them and waited for Twilight with Fluttershy. I smiled to myself, my life was amazing. I have a good group of friends and a great boyfriend, that I'm pretty sure wouldn't hurt me ever. At least I hoped that he wouldn't hurt me. I deiced that after today I was going to talk to Cloudchaser and see if I and she can at least be civil with each other.
