1 In the Dark Shot Series
Ponyville, Equestria, Equis. This is a peaceful town, full of many different kinds of ponies. From Earth ponies who run farms and sell flowers to the newest princess and her Council of Friendship, Ponyville is almost as diverse as the big cities like Canterlot or Manehatten. The land around the town is rich with rolling hills, fields of flowers and gentle woods. Even the Everfree has a mysterious beauty about it. Then there are the houses. There are rich neighborhoods and poor neighborhoods, and ones in between.

Screams. Yelling. Glass shattering. Blood splattering. What started out as an ordinary day at the Rich Manor became something of a horror. There she stood, her silver fur stained red with blood. At the door was a brown stallion with is hoof to his mouth, eyes wide with shock. There she lay, her pink fur stained with her own blood and her throat slit. This is not what Mister Rich expected when he went to see what the yelling was about. Upon arriving in the room he found his daughter dead at the hooves of Silver Spoon.
Silver Spoon stood there, glass shard in her mouth, looking at the scene she caused. She had killed her so called “friend.” The blood from the cut that she made had splattered onto the curtain behind where DT–no, Diamond Tiara had been standing. Blood spilled freely onto the floor from the wound on Diamond’s neck until her heart stopped pumping it. So there she stood, and stood, and stood, until the guard dragged her off and locked her in a cell to await trial for her crimes.

Today was not an ordinary day for Silver Spoon. Today she had plans to finally ask out the one pony she liked, Sweetie Belle. The to had become friends during her visits to the local library for help with her literature homework. It started off with her simply moving to the other side of the library whenever I came in. After a while, though, she started to stay on the same side of the library when I got there. Before long she came up to me and started to talk to me.
It felt nice, to know that I could be friends with her instead of bullying her. After a while she helped me with my literature homework while I helped her with her math homework. We would do this twice a week and after a while I started to fall for her. The two of us would talk about all kinds of things when we got the chance to. It took some time but Sweetie convinced me to stop picking on her friends, showing me that it was wrong to do so.
So there I was, it was after school and Diamond Tiara had left to take care of something and I approached Sweetie Bell. I struck up a conversation with her and was about to ask her out when Diamond Tiara came back.
The first thing she did when she saw me talking to Sweetie was to act all “high and mighty” and start insulting Sweetie. Needless to say Sweetie was hurt. I think that, at first, she thought I set it all up. Though that couldn’t have been farther than the truth. Diamond Tiara and I headed back to her place, though I went rather reluctantly. While her house was nice, it only served as a reminder as to what she was. A spoiled rich brat, who was a total bully.
It wasn’t until we were in her room, with two glasses of lemonade, that I finally became aware of what she was saying.
“I can’t believe you were talking to that blank flank. I mean come on she’s just a stupid filly.” Diamond said with a harumph.
“She helped me with my literature homework when I was at the library, I was just thanking her.” I said, trying to cover up for what I actually wanted to do.
“Ha ha, I can’t believe you were working with her.” Diamon
d jeered with a sneer.
“Hey! You know I have a hard time with my literature homework. Twilight was busy and she offered to help.” I exclaimed knocking my glass of lemonade to the floor, the glass itself shattered. I stood up, angrier than ever before, and thought ‘To hell with it.’ “I was going to ask her out on a date! But you just had to come back and mess that up.”
“Why do you always have to fuck up everything DT!? She is the sweetest filly I have ever met and I’m not going to let you get in the way of me finding happiness!” I yelled at Diamond before turning to leave.
“Don’t you dare walk out on me; or I will make your life miserable.” She screamed at me.
I’d had enough, I turned around and charged her. I bucked her square in the chest and sent her flying across the wooden floor. Once she recovered from the blow she charged me, and I kicked her back again. I grabbed a shard of glass from the ground and when she charged, so did I. We connected and she was pushed back with me following closely behind. With a twist of my hoof, I slit her throat using that glass shard, and her blood splattered the curtain behind her. I watched as she lay there, bleeding across the floor. I heard the clattering of hooves and the door slammed open. Filthy Rich rushed over to his daughter, but there was nothing to be done, she was dead. Though it didn’t bother me. I just stood there, and after a while the guard came and dragged me off to a cell.

I was sentenced six years in jail, if only because I was still a foal. The six years I spent there were the worst six years of my life. At the end of it all, when I was released, I was greeted not by my family, but by Sweetie Belle. She had grown, and even had her cutie mark: a violin with green sparkles around it. When she saw me she came over to me and held me tight, telling me how glad she was to see me and how much she missed me. She even told me that she loved me.
It filled my heart with joy, but now I am wondering, was it worth it. Was killing Diamond Tiara worth it? Were the six years worth it? I lost my oldest friend and gained my lover. Honestly, I doubt that I will ever know, but it was the path I chose and I’m sticking to it.
