A month had passed, since Caramel was with the Apple family. He was doing a great job by bucking appletrees and fixing everything with his own created hammer. The newest model were having an auto-hammering, so he didn't need to use force. Caramel loved being there, but for the most important reason of all; he could be with Applejack. He haven't seen her since she leaved Manehattan, and his life was dark after that, but now, when he was with her again, the new light filled his mind.
But he didn't know how long it would last.
One cloudy day, Caramel were going to Sucarcube Corner having a shop list, which tasty treats were supposed to buy. He opened the door and went inside. There were Pinkie at the cash register, BonBon having bags of every kind of sweets and Applejack. Caramel's heart started to beat more fast than normally. The reason was because she looked so beautiful. Her mane, her face, her flank; all looked good for a mare.
"Hi, Applejack. I didn't expect you to be here. Anyway, how are you doing?" Caramel asked. Suprisingly, she didn't answer. Applejack just picked up some sweets in a bag and walked next to Pinkie Pie.
"Applejack? Didn't you hear?" Caramel asked, this time more loudly, so Applejack could hear. But she didn't respond in any kind of way. She paid the sweets and walked outside, not even looking at him.
"Pinkie Pie, do you know why Applejack doesn't talk?" He asked from the pink party pony.
"I dunno. Oh, oh! Maybe the cat had took her tongue? Or wait! Maybe she woke up with a wrong hoof! Oh, i know! She doesn't like you anymore!" Pinkie suggested some choices. The last one made Caramel's eyes widen. Why would Applejack leave him after all he has done? Caramel shrugged, bought the treats and went outside. Walking back to the farm, he saw Applejack looking for the flowers at the flower shop. Caramel was wordless. Why would Applejack betray him or even tell that she was interested at another pony?
"Nah. That can't be. Just my imagination." Caramel reliefed and continued walking.
Caramel started to buck apples from appletrees with Bic Macintosh. Suprsingly Applejack weren't there.
"Umm, Bic Macintosh. Do you have any idea where Applejack could be? I've never seen her leaving her works to undone." Caramel asked.
"Nope." Bic Mac answered.
"Well, i'll guess she has more important things than helping us here. I mean, there are just 2 of us."
"Eeyup."
Caramel loaded a wagon full of apples and started transport them to inside, but before he could get the wagon there, he saw Applejack, talking with her friend, by the look of it, that violet mane unicorn must be Rarity. Caramel sneaked up to hear their conversation.
"Are ya sure he likes from this? This is a....very expensive thing ya got, if ah say." Applejack asked.
"No, my dear. I'm sure he would like from it. With it you will have a fun night." Rarity answered.
"Ah hope yar right." Applejack said and the two walked away. Caramel started to think about, what if Pinkie's words were really true? What if she really liked from another pony?
"No! I can't accept it!" Caramel went angry and leaved his works. He walked out from Ponyville and kept walking on the road.
After a long walk, he decided to sit on a big rock he found next to the road. The sky was still cloudy, but beautifully. The plains out there where very amazing sight. Caramel sighed and thought for a moment. Why would Applejack leave him? Who is this new pony she likes?
Suddenly, Caramel started to cry. He couldn't take it seriously, what Pinkie said, but he did. Applejack was interested to another pony. The one who looks better than him. The one who could be stronger than Bic Mac. Caramel walked back to the farm. He didn't say anything, when he got back. He didn't payed attention to the others. He didn't ate anything. He was just lying on his bed, thinking a solution, what he should do. Then, he finally decided. He would leave the Ponyville forever and forget her. If there's anything, that would help his mind, it was this. He packed up most of his stuff. The hammer, apple and then he grabbed to the picture, where he and Applejack were hugging each other. Caramel felt heavy tears on his eyes and they dropped on the picture. He couldn't think her. Only thinking about those good times would make him cry. He builded some strenght, put the picture on the shelf and started to leave. Apple family were busy at living room, so he could use the back door. When he opened it and kept a watch to the door, he crashed on somepony. He looked to it and it was Applejack, just as confused as him.
"Caramel! What the hay yar doing here? Shouldn't ya to be inside?" Applejack asked. The words eased Caramel's mind to hear her talking to him, but he couldn't be spheechless.
"Well, i...Uhh. Applejack. I know, that you have crush on the other pony, so i decided, that i would leave the Ponyville, so i wouldn't be an obstacle." Caramel said.
"What in tarnation yar talking about? Ah have never had a crush to other pony. The only pony ah had it is to ya." Applejack said as confused.
"What? You don't have? Then why you were so silent and all? And about the conversation you had with Rarity?" Caramel asked.
"Well, ah couldn't tell but now, that....Ah really...love you, Caramel. Ya have been very hard working and the hammer ya had was quite impressive to me. And that conversation; it was just a little gift, that ah would love to show ya inside the barn." Applejack said and dragged Caramel with her inside to the barn. She landed him on the pile of hay, making him bounce a little. Caramel was confused what's going to happen, but suddenly, she dropped a box on his stomach. Caramel opened it and looked inside.
"The latest model of Caramel's hammer, developed by Applejack." was written on a note, which was on that hammer. Caramel felt tears again dropping from his eyes, but they were tears of joy. He thought, that Applejack would leave him, but cared him all the time. Caramel put the hammer on the ground, stood up and kissed Applejack on her lips. Applejack eyes widened from suprise, but quickly both of them were having a long deep kiss. After a few minutes of the love, they both fell sleep on the pile of hay.
Caramel was the first to wake up. He stood up, yawned and looked outside. The clouds were away and the sun was shining above the whole Equestria. Caramel looked back to Applejack who was still sleeping. Imagine, if he would be gone and Applejack would been sad for years. That would not going to happen. Caramel went back to sleep with Applejack. The mare curled up to him and he rested his head next to her.
"This was the best moment which i had in my life." Caramel said, starting to sleep again.
