Prologue: Battle of the Fates Part 1
"I will have my revenge but I won't kill Sub-Zero." Stated Scorpion coldly looking down at the fallen bodies of Cyrax and Sektor.
"Will not? Or cannot?" Said Sub-Zero stepping through the large oak doors.
"You..." Hissed Scorpion giving his nemesis a cold hard stare.
"To hell with you and you clan!" Shouted Sub-Zero looking to the white eyes of his enemy.
"NO! TO HELL WITH YOU!!" Screamed Scorpion in a fit of rage while securely wrapping his hands around his Sub-Zero's shoulders. Sub-Zero's last moments in Shang Tsung's lair were spent trying to struggle from Scorpions grasp. After what seemed like a millennia Scorpion and his foe appeared in The Netherealm more commonly known as hell. "This is were I was reborn, AND YOU WILL DIE!" Shouted Scorpion.
Scorpion quickly launched his spear at Sub-Zero who began conjuring an iceball. The spear sliced through the ice and plunged into Sub-Zero's armor. "GET OVER HERE!" Was audibly heard as Sub-Zero was pulled toward the specter. As soon as Sub-Zero was in range Scorpion slid down and used his legs to drop Sub-Zero to the ground. Scorpion then immediately rolled back and stood up.
Sub-Zero quickly recovered and slid towards Scorpion, he was caught off guard as Scorpion disappeared from sight. Sub-Zero stood knowing what was to come next. He ice cloned and lept over the fiery demon, he crashed into the clone which froze him solid. Sub-Zero ran up to him and conjured an ice sword that he stabbed into his opponents chest before snapping it in half inside him.
Scorpion rose up and lifted his hands up while roaring. The ground beneath Sub-Zero lit into flames as he cried out. Sub-Zero stumbled back looking down at his singed cloak, big mistake. Scorpion was once again gone, before he could react it seemed like everything went colorless and slowed down. Sub-Zero turned around only to have a fist connect with his mask and face. Scorpion could tell bones were shattering as he heard the snapping sound. Sub-Zero fell to the ground with a thud. Scorpion walked over and slammed his foot down onto his chest before flipping away from his downed enemy.
Sub-Zero stood as Scorpion taunted him by lighting on fire. This was cut short as Sub-Zero kicked him in the chest causing him to stumble back. Before he could recover Sub-Zero froze the ground beneath Scorpion, seeing his opponent was immobilized Sub-zero slid knocking Scorpion over. Scorpion again was given no time to recover as Sub-Zero hit him with an ice sword causing him to fly back.
Scorpion stood obviously shaken, He looked up as everything went black and white while slowing down. Sub-Zero grabbed Scorpions gut and froze his liver before crushing it. Scorpion stumbled back but he had no part of it. Sub-Zero grabbed his shoulder and head butted the demon before him. Sub-Zero knew he broke teeth as a few flew past his face.
Scorpion fell over with a loud thud, Sub-Zero proceeded to taunt him by shooting a small bit of frost from his hands while laughing. Scorpion had had enough, he launched himself at Sub-Zero before tripping him, Sub-Zero was unable to land because a spear lodged into his chest.
"COME HEAR!" Shouted a demonic voice as Sub-Zero flew towards the Specter. Sub-Zero was hit mid-air as Scorpions feet lit ablaze and he backflipped while he hit Sub-Zero in the face. Scorpion watched as Sub-Zero flew into the air so he to leapt into the air and grabbed him while spinning around before tossing him to the maroon rocky ground.
Sub-Zero lay still while Scorpion stared at his almost lifeless body. Quan Chi approached quietly before looking at Scorpion the Sub-Zero the again, Scorpion.
"This is you retribution Scorpion?, kill him." Demanded Quan Chi now too staring at the helpless Sub-Zero.
"I..I will not." Scorpion said sternly avoiding his masters gaze.
"Don't you remember?" Asked Qaun Chi whipping his hand around creating a cloud of smoke.. No a vision. The scene depicted many people being slaughtered by other men dressed in black masks and robes. Arrows were seen being fired at the fleeing members of Scorpions fallen clan, but there was another.. Another man that was atop horseback seen cutting off someone's head. This man wore blue and held a icy blue sword.
Suddenly a mother and child were seen crying together, then a door was kicked open by the blue man. The woman looked up with a fear in her aqua blue eyes. A scream was heard then a blood spurt stained the wall and silence filled the room as five pink pettles floated down to the Wooden floor.
The wisp of smoke dissapeared and Sub-Zero stood clutching his abdomen while pleading.
"That was not me." Said Sub-Zero backing away from the now enraged roaring demon. Suddenly Everthing went dark.
Bi-Han awoke from another nightmare of his fallen brother fighting the demon who caused his death. Scorpion was it? Asked Bi-Han wearily rubbing his eyes. These nightmares had haunted him ever-scince he followed his big brother from the shadows. The scene he saw afterwards would haunt him till the day he died. He drearily got out of bed and checked the master clock.
"5:55, great now I won't be able to sleep in..." He muttered walking down the hallway. It was dark but that made no difference to him as he stepped outside and took a look at his clans villiage, it had only been recently he discovered he had his brothers gift. He took in a deep breath and placed his hands on his hips before gazing into the dark sky.
"For a ninja, your not very quiet." Said a familiar voice warmly. Bi-Han turned around and looked at the shadowy figure leaning against the temple.
"Cyrax, good to see you! Been to busy protesting against the cyber initiative." Said Bi-Han greeting his friend sarcastically. Cyrax stepped out of the shadow as and chuckled at Bi-Hans remark.
"So, what are you doing up so early?" Asked Cyrax curiously.
"Honestly I could ask the same question." Said Bi-Han raising a eyebrow at his friend.
"Couldn't sleep, so how bout you?" Said Cyrax looking around at the many huts and buildings.
"More of the nigh-well you know..my brother and..." Bi-Han looked down and sighed. Normally he would never show emotion around a fellow ninja, but he and Cyrax were close, not as close as him and Sector but still close.
"Wait-oh... Well he tried to protect the clans honor by accepting the demons challange." Said Cyrax trying to lighten his friend up.
"He failed..." Bi-Han muttered angrily and sadly
"What?" Asked Cyrax quizzically.
"Nothing." Said Bi-Han dryly before walking back to his room and trying to fall back asleep, hopefully without nightmares.
