You wake up with a moan. It's the first day of summer break, and you forgot to turn off your alarm. Mumbling incoherent nonsense, you throw back your toasty warm covers, walk across your bedroom to your custom-made Potato Rainbow Dash alarm clock, and bonk it on its little plastic head. The horrible beeping dies, and you yawn, rubbing your ears and eyes. Since you're up, you may as well check your favorite Tumblr blogs and Youtube channels. You plop down on the short swivel chair and stretch your arm out to turn on your laptop. Just as you're about to push the power button, your stomach emits a sound similar to a humpback whale at mating time. You feel torn between feeding your protesting belly and surfing the web.

Choosing to gorge on the delights of food, you retract your arm and stand up. You consider dressing in proper clothes, but why bother? You're staying home today anyway. You walk down the hall, passing your parent's bedroom. But when you get to the stairs, you pause. Your parents are asleep, so as long as you're careful, you wouldn't get caught if you were to, say, sled down the stairs on a mattress.
