Crazy Maze
Relief Or Blastoff
Previous ChapterThe Friday that same week, Charla's mind was set upon how great it is outside once again as she woke up. "Ah! It's such a great day out. Who wouldn't miss out on such memorable weather?" Although Charla was set on the beauty of Celestia's sun, she realized how tired she was as she let out a big yawn. "Okay so what time is it? It's... huh?" Charla looked at the clock and realized she slept in late. No wonder why the sun was so high up. "Ten ten?!?" Charla finally became more worried than when she lost her reflector.
"Oh no! I slept through breakfast. What would Mariano think? I haven't slept through breakfast in years!" Thinking back to what her conversation with how Mariano reacted to everything. He was rather collective about it and Charla thought I ought to do the same. "Okay, okay. Calm down. It's just one day. What difference is that going to make?"
When Charla finally calms herself, she finds the second floor to be a ruckus. "Oh man, it's no wonder I sleep downstairs." All so sudden, Charla took too much calmly as she saw this is nothing but another simple chore. "Easy peasy, I can clean it up." What seemed like forever had passed by and the second floor was perfect in terms of belongings. An angry sigh came out of the task. "UUUGH!! I'm so glad that I sleep downstairs." With the floor cleaned up from the unpacked mess, she was getting hungrier as time went on. "Wooh! That was hard work. It's only-" Looking at her clock again, her lunchtime was almost over already. "One forty?!? I better have lunch Immediately! I REALLY don't want to miss it."
With the calendar being glimpsed at Charla found the marking on the calendar. "Hm, my calendar. Odd. I thought-" Charla began as she looked. It came clear she'd be late. "OH NO!!! The swim meet's at 2:30! I'd better head on over!" Charla galloped as quickly as she could to make it to the swim meet on time.
Charla's speed was so fast she nearly ran into a small colt. Both grunted giving Charla a small sense of deja vu but the shaking off of sand debris from the dirt road. Her gasp was like a huge guilt taking over a criminal when the crime had just taken place. "Oh sweet Chrono! You alright? I'm so sorry! Anything I can do to help?" The little blue pegasus had stared a couple seconds and suddenly head butted Charla in forgiveness. As that happened, another colt was coming in sounding worried. "Nashnaye! Nashnaye! You alr-" The earth colt stopped his shouting when he saw him head butting Charla.
The earth colt not only stopped audibly but stopped his velocity only to turn to Charla and happily wave. "Oh, hello!" Charla's response was lightened by Nashnaye's forgiveness. "Hello! How are you on an average Flanchorage day?" The other colt was actually smiling even more to the question to the point where even his eyes were too overjoyed to be seen. "Good!"
Charla was rather curious now to socialize and see the other ponies in town, but this one had better be quick. "What're your names?" Finally the earth colt took the chance to introduce himself and Nashnaye. "I'm Saerrou Hooves! You can call me Saerrou. I'm cool with anything! And this is one of my friends, Nashnaye Haystalk but he only wants to be called Nashnaye. He's a colt of expression!" The swim meet comes to Charla again and sees that Saerrou was eager to see somepony new. "Well, err... Saerrou, I've got a swim meet to go to but I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Bye!" Saerrou's response was the same outgoing "Bye!" as predicted. But just behind him was Nashnaye who let out his own shy farewell.
Far after her swim meet, Charla was again frustrated about the needlessness of what happened. "I'll ninety five bits them if they have me sign a clipboard that would cost me ninety five of those." Yet again, another one hundred bits lost. However, Charla's mood was lightened again when a unicorn filly spotted her. The filly's smile felt even truer than Saerrou's. "Hello!" Charla's "Hello," went the same way, only calmer. "Have you seen a couple colts? I've been looking for them for hours." Charla could tell this filly meant Saerrou and Nashnaye.
With Charla's guessing the thought process was out loud. "I... did see two colts earlier. I believe one had a green mane, white body, and yellow eyes. I think his name was Saerrou or something like that." The filly knew Charla was right about Saerrou letting out her own curiosity. "That's one of them." Charla continued her thoughts and thought of Saerrou's friend. "I'm pretty sure the other one's name was, er... Nashnaye!" Both identified, but it didn't answer where Saerrou and Nashnaye have gone? "That's the other one! Where are they though?"
"I have no clue." Charla was completely lost on where Saerrou and Nashnaye had gone but would probably see them again. She then hypothesized that if this filly knew these two, then she might as well have the name out now. "What's your name?" The filly was excited to finally introduce herself which gave her the thought that she should've done that first. "I'm Marshetta Cakes! It's may be a bit of a long name, but I'm just alright with Marshetta." Marshetta gave the chance of Charla filling her in on her curiosity and Charla was eager to say it. "I'm Charla. I'm new in Flanchorage."
Marshetta decided that she should keep looking for Nashnaye and Saerrou. "Well, I got some searching to do then. It's been a pleasure meeting you." Charla was pleased to hear Marshetta utter those same words she'd say. "It's been a pleasure meeting you too." And like that, they both waved farewell to each other. "Bye!!"
Finally when Charla got to her front yard, she saw another pegasus in front of her. Luckily she wasn't in a hurry so she didn't ram into him. But the pegasus was quick to respond. "Hello, what's your name? I saw that this home is apparently vacant and cluttered." Thus, came another one of Charla's out loud thoughts. "That's weird. It seemed fine before the swim meet." But Charla shook her head in transition to introduce herself yet again.
"Any who, I'm Charlietta Drymon or just Charla for shorts. So, what's your name?" This provoked the pegasus's introduction. "I'm Sammoreth but you can call me Sammo. Now about the house..." He was still rather fixed upon Charla's house, which Charla clarified. "I live here." Well, this was even more thought provoking to Sammo. "Oh! Okay because I wandering what that crash was walking my little brother back home and it seemed to me you've got some physics problems at home."
This rather caught Charla's attention once more. A physics problem? What in Celestia's name is he talking about? Guess I should lure him in. And Charla did. "Well Sammo, if a rushing fire were to be set off when nopony's around, do you blame it on physics?" Sammo was rather puzzled upon what Charla asked but was sure of the answer. "Um... no." And as rhetorically as he answered, Charla responded. "So if you don't mind, I'd like to get in thank you very much."
Sammo was just about to apologize but forgot that that wouldn't have been as nice as just inviting Charla in. "Well why didn't you say so?!? Go on in De- I mean Charla." And just like that, Sammo walked off Charla's cinderblock doorsteps. And what Sammo could've said if not had realized what he hadn't corrected was a moment everypony would've gotten at least once in their lives, in Charla's eyes that was. I wonder if he started saying what I think he said. Charla nonchalantly scoffed at the thought. "Nah! He probably won't be saying it THAT frequently."
Charla trotted to the front door of her house which had a window on the top of it. Within the distance she heard those two words coming out of Sammo's mouth. "Ready bro?" Charla was shocked at who else was outside. "Hmm... That looks like Nashnaye! I remember running into him earlier today." It indeed was Nashnaye. But now, it was time to find something else to get out of the way. "Now where's that broom?"
Two hours later, it seemed that Charla has snapped under the pressure like a twig. Her mental break was following the mentality that Twilight Sparkle dealt with on the twenty second of October last year. Sammo had come back to Charla's house but he was not alone. He brought a fiery colored pegasus with him with a flame as a cutie mark. That pegasus was pretty freaked out with what she saw. "A-are you okay?"
Charla was in such a pinch that nopony knew what to say. But Charla's speech was still intact. "Looking for chores to do!" Or maybe not. Charla wasn't in the best condition right at that moment and needed a reality check. "Err... rough day?" the fiery pegasus hypothesized. Sammo was right with the mare next to him. He was just as if not more creeped out than her. "Well she seemed just fine this afternoon. I hope I didn't do anything wrong." Although her speech was not quite intact, her obliviousness was completely off the wall in comparison. "And no Mr. Deja Vu or Ms. Fire Colors is going to stop me!"
As Charla had referred to the two pegasi, the fiery one fainted in shock of it all. Following her faint was a crash of Charla's cinderblock doorsteps. Sammo was shocked from what this pegasus did. "Rushing Fire?!?" Sammo had turned around to see Charla staring him in the face. "H-Hey Charla! Are you okay?!?"
Charla was still desperate to find something to do for the day. "I need more to do!!" That only creeped Sammo out even more. "I think you might need some rest. I think you might've had more than enough chores done." Sammo slid over a nearby mirror so Charla can look at herself but Charla caught it just in time with her natural levitation to fly it out the window. As it hit the window, Charla lost control of her levitation on the mirror and the mirror landed on Rushing Fire nearly choking her.
"OWW!! You Longcolor Wavelength Reflecting Mare! I think this here mirror is crushing my fangin' lungs!!" Charla just continued to chuckle like someone at an asylum as Celestia's sun was just about to set. Sammo instantly sprung into action. "RUSHING FIRE!!!" He flew through that same window to lift the heavy mirror off Rushing Fire as it landed on one of the open yards. Sammo let out a sigh. "Time to get him."
Rushing Fire came in through the window as of the recovery and was furious as Charla continuously chuckles about. "WHAT THE HAY WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?!?" But as Rushing Fire shouted, another stallion came in to defend Charla. "Rushing Fire!! What're you doing to this poor mare?!?" This made Rushing Fire facehoof herself and sigh unpleased. "I don't have the scam time for this Misty! This mare levitated a mirror into me crushing my FANGIN' LUNGS!! What pony DOES that mit?!?" With Misty growing more defensive over Charla, he let out what could've happened. "Strike one, she could've done that unintentionally. Strike two! You know Marshetta wouldn't like to hear those words you were saying just now!"
All too sudden Sammo barged in with Nashnaye behind him. "Enough everypony! What's with the shouting?!?" This made Rushing Fire feel like she was put on the spot. "O-oh! Sammo! B-Back so soon?!?" Unpleased himself, Sammo was waiting for an answer. "Estoy esperando!" Rushing Fire became increasingly nervous knowing that something needs to be explained when Sammo said something she can't understand. "Well... err... I was just making sure your friend is okay." Sweat was dripping down Rushing Fire's face and to add on to that, Sammo didn't believe her.
"I need to know the truth, Rushing Fire! Either that or I think you might need some motivation to tell the truth. I've heard you shouting about Charla calling her a Longcolor Wavelength Reflecting Mare." Rushing Fire was so nervous now, her sweat was enough to start wilting her mane. "W-What do you mean by that?!?" Sammo quickly grabbed the mirror from the yard at a short enough time for Rushing Fire to not notice Nashnaye. Rushing Fire saw what could've killed her. "It too Sammo?!? There's no fangin' way my own friend is going to choke me with that mirror!!!"
At that moment, Sammo slid the mirror away letting out a smile that shows he's getting frustrated. "Hm. Have it your way then." Sammo closed his eyes as he called Nashnaye to come in front of Rushing Fire. "Bro!" Nashnaye peaked from behind as he walked up to Rushing Fire who reacted as expected. "Aww! Hey there little colt."
By now, Rushing Fire's gotten Sammo's full attention. "Now will you tell the truth?" Sammo said now that he's gotten Rushing Fire's full attention. And Rushing Fire finally gave in with an appeased sigh.
"Okay I'll tell you. I couldn't take being crushed with that mirror Charla threw at me. It made me mad because it was about to crush my lungs because of how heavy the mirror was. I yelled some sense into her when Misty came by. And he went into why what I was doing was wrong. I'm afraid I couldn't agree more. It was unintentional, I had a terrible attitude and I was so close to crossing the line that I probably wouldn't mind if you force me to move away to the sun." Everypony was actually rather puzzled with the exception of Charla who was still in quite the pinch at that one moment.
Misty though thought the contrary to Rushing Fire's confession. "Hey, hey, hey. We wouldn't do that to you. We're your friends, Rushing Fire. We will still have the same prospective about you whether you're doing the right thing or not. You'll always be the same Rushing Fire we know and care for." And at that moment Nashnaye slid the mirror over to Charla. "Here." Sammo helped out with what Nashnaye meant to say. "You can have your mirror back."
When looking into the mirror Charla stops the insane chuckling and snaps back to reality with a terrified gasp. "What've I become?!? What's happened to my mane?!? I'm sorry I went sorta psycho on you all there. And Rushing Fire. I'm sorry I threw the mirror at you even though I didn't mean it. I think we all learned a lesson from all this." By hearing about learning a lesson, Sammo was curious of what they learned. "And what's that?" Charla was just soon to answer that question. "Well, I'll show you by my first journal entry."
And spoke exactly what she wrote. "Journal Entry number one, May twenty third. Although I moved to Flanchorage just the other day, I can safely say that with these new friends as great as everypony here, you can trust those who truely care about you no matter what mood you're in or how recent your friends are." Rushing Fire felt confident that that was what Misty told her when he said that she'd still be the same pony they know. "Sounds good to me!" And all of them laughed because of what they'd been missing out on for their journey was never going to end even if it would mean their control of the fate of the west countryside of Flanchorage.
