A United Land
Resurrection Ship

Starbuck was nearing the fleet. Getting close, she noticed the Pegasus and Galactica were in a deadly faceoff.
"Recon one to fleet, what in the Lord of Kobol's name is going on?"
A pause. "Uh, nothing that should concern you!"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. I got recon on the ship, though."
"Good. Cleared to land on Galactica."
-------------------------------------------------
Starbuck and Adama looked over the photos. "Well, no comment. But we need to destroy it. Those are Cylon humans, and my theory is that those are to download the conscious after an agent 'dies.'"
Ace's voice came over the radio. "Cain, I can give you one chance to stand down!"
"Never!"
Adama looked over the statistics. "Starbuck, we need Lee to go and take out the engines so it doesn't jump away."
"Fine, we can keep on playing this game! I'm a frickin computer anyway!"
"To frak with that!"
"The stealth viper?"
"Yeah."
"It's buck, you idiot, buck!"
"Should we stop them, sir?"
"No, it's frak! You're the idiot!"
"Nah, let them go for awhile. Everyone in the fleet can hear them, it's comic relief."
"Nuh-uh!"
"Yuh-uh!"
"Nuh-uh!"
----------------------------------------------------
After sorting our Ace and Cain's collective shit, the fleet signed a truce to take down the now dubbed "resurrection ship."
Dominus, Illustrious, Galactica, and Pegasus would take down the escort while the Vipers and Shooting Stars would strafe the glass ship.
Lee Adama rushed into the engine section, shot a missile in, and rushed out. Cylon Raiders damaged his oxygen tanks, and he soon had to bail out.
A rescue Raptor saved him though, clearing a path for the fighters to begin the assault.
Ace looked up at the DRADIS screen, clearly stressed. This would mark the Equestrian's first offensive attack.
The four battlestars charged at the Basestars, Dominus and Illustrious on one, Pegasus and Galactica on another. Circling the Cylon ships, they were completely defenseless, with their Raider complement gone, trying to take down the Vipers and Shooting Stars.
The baseships destroyed, the massive guns began to target the remaining Raiders. One after another, they were shot down, signaling the end of the attack.
Ace looked over at the rest of the CIC crew.
"No point in staying, eh?"
One after another, the massive Battlestars jumped back to the fleet.
---------------------------------------------
Cain, Adama, and Ace sat together at one table on Colonial One.
"That went better than expected, I was anticipating heavy casualties." Ace muttered.
"This is why you're not fit to command a battlestar." Cain muttered.
"Here we frakking go again..."
Cain got up and left for her cabin on Pegasus. Undressing for a shower, a number six suddenly barged in and fired a bullet into Cain's head. Cain fell backwards, dead.
The number six known as Gina Ivierne smiled. "Karma's a bitch, motherfrakker."
----------------------------------------------
"...and in conclusion, the fleet would have been safer with her than without."
Starbuck's speech, while heartfelt, brought a couple raised eyebrows. Especially the civilian captains, who had received the most beatings from the ordeal.
Adama gave her a funny look. "Very well then. This concludes the funeral of Admiral Helena Cain, commander of the battlestar group 62."
"Kara, you know I love you like a father. Is it alright if I ask you why you said the things you did?"
"Cain's ideas would have brought the destruction of the Cylons quicker. Simple as that." The hot-shot pilot turned and left the Commander to muse over her words.
Turning his attention to the multiple ships outside, he muttered. "They're all gonna be gone. No debate."
