From LIMBO to Equestria

Chapter 1 :: A Dark Forest

Perspective :: Nameless Boy

I'm walking through the forest, I feel really lonely. When I first awoke in this dark forest, the first thing I thought of was my sister, I wondered where I was, but I decided to go find her. Later on when I was looking for her, I ran away from a giant spider, ran away and escaped of other children. After what felt like years of wandering, I realized I was stuck here. When I thought of my sister, I remember the only time I've seen her was when I was being controlled by this white glowing maggot thing.

Even though I was a kid, I knew how to take care of myself, and told myself not trust anything in this forest.  When I first got here, I remember dying when I was escaping the spider, but after that I remember running from the spider again. This happened a lot, whenever I die, I come back to life but a few moments earlier before death. But... when I first saw my sister, I blacked out... and woke up at the same spot where I first woke up when I got here. I went through the  forest again, to see my sister again, to black out again, and to wake up in the same spot again. The only time I actually hugged my sister was when I realized I will black out again, so I ran and hugged my sister only for a second before blacking out.

I still wonder the forest, taking a new path... to find my way out of here.

Perspective :: Princess Celestia

"Sister, are you sure about this?" Luna asked.

"I'm sure Lulu, me and the elements just have to make sure that everything beyond this portal that Twilight opened up is safe to Equestria," I said hugging Luna, she actually worked on her speech patterns, so she doesn't say 'thou' or 'thee' that much anymore. I seperate from our embrace then walk over to Twilight and her friends.

"Are you ready, my student?"

"Yes, Princess Celestia, I'm ready," The rest of the elements nodded in agreement.

Then, I jump into the portal, followed by Twilight and her friends. The next thing I know, we all hit solid ground, so I open my eyes slowly, and what I saw shocked me: we teleported into a dark forest, and everything, and I mean everything, was black and white. A small eerie fog filled the air, and when Twilight and her friends teleported behind me, they all gasped at what they saw.

"What... is this place..." Rainbow said, she tried to fly up, but it didn't work.

"Ugh, this place looks horrid!" Rarity said, keeping clear of any mud.

"This place is too scary for me..." Fluttershy trembled.

"Ah'm mighty freaked 'bout this," Applejack said, taking in her surroundings.

"Don't worry girls, I'll protect you from the scary monsters!" Pinkie bounced up and down.

"My magic doesn't work!" Twilight exclaimed.

I start to hear some hoofsteps... somepony is coming.

Perspective :: None (3rd Person)

The nameless boy comes into a clearing, he can hear somebody talking. He slowly goes up the hill to see... COLORED horses?! He's only seen horses a few times back home and everything here is supposed to be black and white here. He couldn't trust anything here, so he started to back away slowly after a few moments of starring at each other.

"What is that thing?!" The Rainbow Dash says.

'I haven't seen a rainbow in a long time' the nameless boy thinks to himself.

He stumbles on his own foot, and when he balances himself he runs off, gaining speed the farther he goes.

"We scared it off! He might come back with his buddies or somethin'." Rainbow said. Fluttershy slowly turned.

"Uhh... R-Rainbow... I, don't think... that it was... afraid... of us..." Fluttershy says, turning around to see a GIANT spider.

Everypony started to back away... including Celestia, not knowing what to do since this is a spider from another realm. Rarity lets out a blood curdling scream, making the spider raise up two of its legs. Everypony screams and starts to back away. A few moments later, the same creature from before came back, pushing a bear trap. The spider throws its leg at the boy, but it misses and its leg lands on the bear trap, cutting its leg off. The spider gave a small hiss before retreating back into the woods. LB looked back at the girls before backing away again.

"It's ok, we wont hurt you," Celestia said, giving a small warm smile at him.

LB stopped backing away, his last step made his trip on a rock, falling onto the bear trap, crushing his body and decapitating him. Everypony screamed.

"Oh ah think Ah'm gonna be sick," Applejack said, holding her mouth with her hoof.

Fluttershy trembled greatly, and started sobbing, looking away from the pool of blood that started to form. Everypony looked away from the corpse, only to hear rustling from the bushes a few yards away from them. The boy stepped out of the bushes, to see the... horses again. Everypony looked at him in confusion and terror.

"He's... alive...?" Twilight asked, still trembling a little.

They looked back at the trap, only to see the body and pool of blood disappeared, only the bear trap remains. Celestia was the first to speak up.

"It's ok, little one. Do you want to come with us back home, away from here?" Celestia asked.

The boy was hesitant, but he slowly walked over to Celestia, who picked him up with her magic. He got startled and started to flail around a bit, but then he calmed down. Celestia set the boy on her own back, and he immediately he her tightly on her neck. Celestia smiled warmly at the boy, and started to walk back towards the portal. She looked at the boy again before she jumped into the portal followed by everypony else.
