After the abandonment of what is now known as Old Equestria (most) of the Mane Six created a floating continent over the badlands known as New Equestria.

Here ponies are ruled by the Guilds and life goes by happily, but underneath everything is the scent of demonic magic, and greater evil.

Pinkie Pie and a dangerous pony known as Lysandre have made a bet. Depending on which one of them wins Equestria will either thrive or fall into ruin.
