//-------------------------------------------------------// Golden Gate University -by RexAlpha10- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 It's a bright sunny day outside. There is a slight breeze that I can see from the way the tree outside my window was moving. It is quiet and peaceful. There was the occasional car passing by here and there. I hear the sounds of birds singing their songs. Yep it is a really nice day, the only thing that takes away from the nice environment is the large houses that the street I lived on has. All of them are mansions because everyone that lives on my street are rich businessman. Other than that it is a beautiful place to see. "Fuck." I say under my breath as I grip my controller harder. Yep it's a nice day and i waste it on playing video games because I am being antisocial. I'm sitting in my room on my office chair focusing hard on my game. The game I'm playing is Titanfall (A/N: I like the game it's not that bad if you just try to have fun). The sound of my custom built gaming computer gives off the sound of my fan cooling down my CPU which is throwing me off my game a little. As I run around I spot an enemy pilot and get ready to kill them. Just before I take them down I hear a knock at my door. Ugh what is it now? "Come in!" I yell not taking my eyes off my computer screen. I hear the door open just as I kill my target but I end up getting stepped on. I pause my game and turn in my chair to face the person that has entered my room. "Master Streak, someone is here to see you, sir." an old man with a British accent says. "Tell them I'm busy." I say turning back to my game. "They insist that they speak with you now, sir." the man explains. "Fine, tell them I'll be there in a minute Jeeves." I instruct. Jeeves gives a slight bow and leaves to inform the guest. I get up from my chair and walk over to my dresser with a mirror hanging over it. As I look at myself in the mirror I try to fix the mess I call my hair. My hair is a black color with dark blue streaks in it. My eyes are a bluish-teal color and my face is that of the average nineteen-year-old. I'm wearing a plain white t-shirt and blue jeans. After a few attempts at trying to fix my hair but not much improves so I give up and go to see my guest. I walk to the foyer and spot Jeeves talking with someone I haven't for a really long time. She wears a dark blue suit and a night sky themed tie. Her hair was a nice shade of sky blue and her eyes are a greenish-teal kind of like mine only more green than blue. As I get closer she turns her head to face me. "Night Streak." she says in a plain emotionless tone. "It's nice to see you after all this time." she says loosening up the formal act she has. "How have you been?" she asks. "I've been okay." I say trying not to sound like I'm bored. I look over to Jeeves for a little help talking to her. "So Luna, how have you been? Also, what are you doing here?" I ask. "I wanted to see my favorite cousin. I do have another reason but that can wait for a little bit." she says giving me a smile finally breaking the formal act completely. "Actually, I was wondering if you had a job yet." she explains looking hopeful that I'd say yes. "No Luna I don't have a job. I spend my entire life at home doing nothing." I state hoping she doesn't get upset. "That is very disappointing to hear." she says with disappointment. "Well since you don't have a job we can get to the other reason of why I'm here." she says reaching for something behind her. "Here." she hands me an envelope. I take the envelope and look to Jeeves for the letter opener. Before we go further I have to explain that I'm very smart, not the smartest person ever but pretty smart. For some reason I guess God decided to play a joke on me and till this day my disability to open envelopes still gets the better of me. After opening the envelope I take a single sheet of paper out and quickly skim over it. "What is this?" I ask a little frustrated. "Luna, you know I hate doing stuff I don't have to do." I say getting more upset. "I think it'll be a good chance for you to get out of this house and actually do something with your life." she says in a more serious voice. "You spend all day at home doing nothing when you could get a job or at least go to college. Me and Celestia both agreed that you should enroll into our college." she says. I guess she noticed that I made that face that says I admit that I have no life. "Also, don't you want to make money that's not from your parents?" she asks getting more serious. She is right. I don't want to rely on my parents money to keep me alive. I try to calm down but just the mention of my parents makes my eyes start to water with both rage and sadness. My parents both died in a car crash when I was ten. My mom was a great mother. She was strict but fun to be with, which is why I was filled with sadness. My dad, I hated him. He was abusive. He would always tell me I was a disappointment and that I'll never amount to anything. Every time I did something wrong in public he would beat me later when we got home. Of course my mom would try to stop him, but it never worked. It wasn't always like that though, there were some good times, but that was when I was really young. The most fun I had with him was going to this small town called Ponyville. I liked it cause I had a friend I used to play with but it was so long that I don't remember their name. We're getting off topic though, the fact that I as using my dads money to live here started to burn me up inside. I hate having to rely on him for stuff and Luna knows that. "Fine, I'll go." I say to her. She gives me a smile and a quick hug obviously glad to hear that I said yes. "Very good." she says. "Now I should probably explain how your entrance into the college is going to work." she informs me. "Right, Jeeves can you get some drinks or something for us." I ask. He gives a simple nod and heads for the kitchen. "Luna can you come with me for a second I gotta get my scholarship papers." I ask her a little nervous. "Sure." and with that we head to my room. I open the door and we both step inside. I head over to my closet and start looking for my box I keep my school stuff in. "At least the room is clean." I hear Luna say. After a few minutes of moving stuff around I finally find what I was looking for and pull out two sheets of paper with checks attached to them. "Okay Luna I the scholarship checks and stuff so lets go over to the living room." I say. She simply nods and we make our way over to the living area. Luna takes a seat on the couch and I sit at the opposite end of it. "Okay so here's how the entrance is going to work. Since you have a scholarship you will not be required to take the entrance exam." she explains sounding a little pleased. "So pretty much you already have everything covered. You have the money to pay for your supplies that you need and such. I'm going to assume that you'll be living in a dorm since the distance from here to the school is quite far." she says and I just give her a nod showing her that I'm paying attention. After a few more minutes of her explaining some basic rules of how the college system works Jeeves comes in with a few glasses of water. I tell him to set them on the table and then take care of whatever it is he needs to take care of. After ten minutes of her explaining stuff to me  she takes a drink of water. "Well that was an informative conversation. So now that that is done how's Celestia?" I ask trying to go to a less boring topic. "She's well. She's been busy planing things for an interview from the school board." Luna says sounding less than happy. "Wow, sounds tough." I say not knowing what to say. "Yes quite difficult. Speaking of older sisters how is your doing?" Luna ask. "Oh uh, me and Solar Wind don't really talk much anymore." I say a little sadness creeping into my voice. "You should at least tell her your going to our college tomorrow." Luna says. "Yeah, I'll try and see her tomorrow." The sound of a phone breaks the conversation and Luna quickly answers it. Luna gives the standard hello and after a yes's and no's she hangs up the phone and gets up. "Well I must return to the school, it would seem that something requires my attention." Luna states. I get up and walk her over to the door. "Well it was nice seeing you and catching up." I say holding up my arms to give Luna a hug. She gladly accepts the hug and leaves to her car. I stand at the front door and watch as she pulls out of the drive way and heads off to the train station. I close the door and lock it then turn to see Jeeves standing there. "Great timing, Jeeves I need you to call my sister and have her come here to tomorrow after that I guess your done for the day because I'm going to head off to bed." I explain to Jeeves. "I'll get right on it sir." he says giving a slight bow and then starts his last task of the day. I head back to my room and close the door behind me. I walk over to my bed and jump right in. I wrap myself in the nice warm blanket and drift off to sleep.
