Great I pass my exam to get into the EBI and now on my first day I'm already being called down for an assignment by Princess Celestia wonder what she wants.... Oh my Celestia! What if its a test in not ready. OK relax everything will hopefully be ok, I just need to relax is all, why do I get the feeling I'm missing a little purple and green dragon to tell me this, I ponder this for a minute but realize I am at Celestia's office. I knock and hear a voice say "Come in Mrs. Sparkle we have been waiting."
As I enter I see Princess Celestia who runs the EBI, then I look to the person to her right it was someone that I didn't know but she had a pink and purple mane, wth a hot pink coat, these purple eyes that looked like they wanted to pierce right through me, but the biggest thing I realize the fact she was smoking a cigarette which wasn't allowed but I didn't want to speak up against a higher up. "You wanted to see me Princess to give me an assignment."
" Yes this is an important assignment to the EBI, have you ever heard the name Pinkamena Diane Pie."
"YES!..... I mean indeed she is one of the best agents in the EBI, and most intellectual. Why do you ask?"
Celestia got this look on her face like she was about to send me on a straight course to hell. "You see ever sine Mrs. Pie joined the Bureau she has made a habit of investigating paranormal cases or as we call them X-Files."
The pony next to Celestia moved up and started talking in a voice that sounded like she smokes at least 5 packs of cigarette's a day "What the Princess is trying to say is that some higher ups are questioning to continue funding these" she stopped as if she couldn't say the word without this awful taste forming I her mouth " X-Files, so she wants you to work with Mrs. Pie and report to us to see if we should continue funding."
This was great I'm going to be working with one of the greatest mind in the Bureau, but why me then I saw one of my friends from the academy show up "Hey Fluttershy what are you up to."
"Oh hi Twilight I heard you had a special assignment given to you, that seems nice."
"Yeah but the best part is who I'm working with, Mrs. Pinkamena Diane Pie the made who had the best score in her class......... I wonder how she studies."
Fluttershy gave me a small laugh " you don't have to say her full name I heard she likes being called Pinkie Pie."
"OK thanks for the tip I'm going to go see her, do you happen to know where her office is?"
"Oh its in the basement, see you later Twilight."
As she took off i made my way to the elevator were I was going to meet my partner. It didn't take long to get to the basement but it was really dark "Hello...... Mrs. Pinkie Pie are you down here my name is detective Twilight Sparkle I was sent to be your partner." Then I heard a loud gasp and saw a pink blur hit me.
"Hi I'm Detective Pinkie Pie and now that your my partner we can throw a welcome to the X-Files party and the author can come eat cake, and play pin the tale on the pony, and it'll be so much fun."
Author shakes his head " knew I should have taken away her 4th wall breaking skill when I planned this story.Oh well gjust have to deal with it I guess."
Twilight was in shock this was the pony that got the highest test scores in her class oh well guess I'll have to be like the author and just go with it.
"Wait when did you start to break the 4th wall? You never had that ability to begin with, why can't these characters be normal?"
"Well now that we got the author all confuzled let's have a party and explain what we do here in the X-Files. So here's some cake, punch, and now MOVIE TIME!" Twilight flinched when Pinkie threw the food and paper cup full of fruit punch at her but then it landed nice and comterble on her lap. This is when she reminded herself its Pinkie don't question it.
" HAY THATS JOSH SCORCHERS LINE! You can't just use it whenever you want, you know what I give up I'm letting Pinkie tell the story now may God have mercy on your souls."
" OK so here at the X-Files we not only party but we investigate paranormal cases and or crimes that are unexplainable. We listen to every story no matter how crazy and or ridiculous it sounds. Everything and anything is a possibility in my eyes now who wants to play pin the tale on the pony."
I raise my hand and smile embarrassingly and as we start our game, Pinkie starts shaking and she puts on this serious face "No time Mrs. Twilight Sparkle there is a some extraterrestrial activity going on in Vanhover so I'll fill out the paper work you get started on studying the side effects of an alien abduction."
As I grad the notes Pinkie left me I start to study extraterrestrial activity " victims of alien abduction have some side effects such as loss of memory, time laps, and not knowing how they got in a certain area. Reports in Equestria of lien abductions started 100 years into Celestia's rule without her sister Princess Luna, over 500 reports in the area of Equestria not counting the Griffin lands, Zebra lands, and a number of animals spicies disappearing in the last 900 years."
Pinkie came back and was sitting next to Twilight letting her read until she finished, which in that moment she grabbed her new found friends hoove and ran out of the EBI Headquarters in Canterlot.
